learning to love baths?
trying to become a bath person this coming year! anyone have any tips? used this bargain bath bomb yesterday — super vivid color, no staining, very light chocolate scent. (also tagging some of the skincare stuff i’m using these days, but that routine needs an update...) what do you love about baths? what would you recommend to someone who wants to enjoy them more? 🛁
CeraVe-Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin
baby’s first skincare routine
taking advantage of quarantine to finally put together a grown-up skincare routine! i have oily skin and recurring acne, so i’m still trying to figure out how to curb breakouts. anybody else like these products? or have any other recommendations? 💕 • CLEANSER • CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser this just feels good to put on. silky smooth, clean, refreshing. GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover i only use this when i’ve been wearing makeup, which hasn’t been much lately, but it does the trick. it’s also good for when i feel like double cleansing at night. • TONER • THAYERS - Witch Hazel Astringent love this for helping minimize my pores. sometimes i swab it on mid-day if my skin is feeling extra oily. • ACNE TREATMENT • Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatment i’ve been using this for a million years and it’s great for getting acne to disappear as quickly as possible. just an awesome little spot treatment. Clearasil - Rapid Rescue Deep Treatment Wash this is a nighttime acne wash and it seems to work pretty well. it does have an intense chemical smell, which isn’t my favorite. • MOISTURIZER • Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer i love this stuff. my roommate thinks it’s an alien serum since it’s so pretty and blue. putting this on at night just makes my skin feel so hydrated and fancy. plus, it’s super light, which is a godsend for oily skin. Neutrogena - Facial Moisturizer i put this on in the morning because i know i need some spf, but it still leaves me feeling oily even though there’s no oil in it! still hunting for an spf moisturizer that doesn’t smell so sunscreen-y and feel heavy in my skin.

Are you using a cleansing oil?
Cleansing oil is a wonderful addition to your skin care routine! And look at everything it could get out of you skin! Beauty esthetician labeautyologist has a wonderful video on YouTube all about it and explains why it’s so beneficial. ✨ Think of it as chemistry because oil massaging onto your face and sinking into your pores sounds like a bad thing right? WRONG! Like minded things attract so oil mixed with oil that why oil plugs start pulling out of your face. Water and oil don’t mix that’s just science so it isn’t the only thing you should be using to clean. ✨ The most important step is emulsifying the oil with a little bit of water when you’re done this helps the water and oil come together and get all the oil off your face. This way you don’t end up with a slick mess on your face. ✨ It’s literally the first step you should do in your routine and you can do it for 2 minutes or 40 minutes! It’s also incredibly easy just massage the oil cleanser into your skin and it’s super relaxing so that helps to. When I did this for the first time I lost track of time and didn’t even realize it was 40 minutes later because so many oil plugs came out of my face. This picture isn’t even all of them! ✨ This is the first time I did this which is probably why there’s so many I’ve been reading that the results won’t be as many later on because you have less oil plugs in your skin if you do it everyday so makes sense. ✨ I did this in the mid day as a fun skin clearing routines and I.... Oil cleansed for 40 minutes (mentioned above) Washed my face Used a clay mask (Aztec secret) After I oil cleansed again 💁🏻♀️ I also read the above routine was called oil gritting. ✨ My skin felt so silky smooth and soft I couldn’t believe it. I highly recommend trying this out I loved the results. When I did it the second time after the mask I didn’t get as many as of the hard oil plugs but got white heads out of my face just by sitting there gently massaging the oil into my face no squeezing just gentle and relaxing. I honestly am shocked ✨ I don’t think I’ll do this whole process every time I just wanted to purge my skin now, I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Double cleansing changed my life!
OMG! I used to NEVER double cleanse. I always felt like I never needed it because I don’t wear any makeup. But I do ALWAYS wear my sunscreen. EVERYBODY should! I used to just wash my face with the foaming cleanser from cerave. But then I seen and felt that my pores were just a little clogged and felt as if I needed to wash my face more. And then I started watching YouTube and Hyram, to do my research in cleansing oils and even if you don’t use makeup we still wear sunscreen everyday and sometimes just one cleanser isn’t going to take off all the sunscreen we put on that day! Which makes sense because I re apply sunscreen every 2-3 hours. So I did my research and saw good reviews in this Dear Klairs black deep cleansing oil. I bought it and it came about a week ago. And the FIRST time I used it, OMG I seen good results. I felt the blackhead just slipping away I was literally like melting them and rubbing them off. I saw lots of the oil plugs as seen in the pictures and I couldn’t believe I had that in my SKIN! I instantly fell inlove. My skin felt so clean ! After the oil i went in with my cerave cleanser and then proceeded with my nighttime routine! After I cleansed with the cerave my skin felt so nice my pores didn’t feel clogged at all. My skin was finally breathing soooo well. Double cleansing really changed my life I’m so happy I invested in that and I can’t wait to show you guys results. But so far so good it has only been ONE WEEK! And I’ve seen a difference, I have very oily skin and blackheads mostly on my nose and I even see less blackheads. It’s just amazing I love it. Honestly ever since I got the cleansing oil I’ve been even MORE excited in doing my nighttime routine. And as I said before I will be sharing my nighttime routine soon but I just need a little more time because I am trying products but so far it’s going really well ! 😍 thank you guys so much ! dear, klairs - Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil

The foundation that saved me $40
If you’re like me, you’ll go to the ends of the earth to find a foundation that will hide the breakouts and dark spots completely. I love a full coverage foundation that makes me feel confident to the point where I don’t have to think about the way my skin looks 24/7! For months and months, I paid $45 on a foundation from Sephora that did just that. The only problem I had with the foundation was that it lasted about a month... so I found myself spending $45 every month and a half just for foundation. Well, I saw a makeup review on this product that I have now considered a holy grail foundation.... HARD CANDY - Glamoflauge 16 HR Foundation !!! I am truly blown away by this $5 foundation. It covers EVERYTHING, and even leaves a beautiful finish that lasts all day long. Even under a mask! I generally like to set it with my Fit Me loose powder for extra coverage, but sometimes I feel like I don’t even need it! I have converted quite a few people in my life to this foundation, simply because it’s easily accessible in stores and it’s literally $5. I hope you enjoyed this review, thanks for reading! 💖

I’m SHOCKED! 😧
I cannot believe how incredibly well this spot treatment works! I have been getting frustrating unpoppable zits (which I call underground zits because they feel so deep beneath the skin) the last few weeks and reached my breaking point. I did a little research on effective solutions and opted for a spot treatment method rather than a salycylic acid face wash or mask. I put a dab of this on the spot and cover it with a hydrocolloid bandage (cheap version of an acne spot patch) and LIKE MAGIC the spot decreases in pain and size. After just 3 nights of this treatment my zit is GONE! I’m so happy!!! I love that this product is phthalate free and only ONE active ingredient: 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. Things I don’t love about this product: Isopropylparaben, butylparaben, isobutylparaben. $7.99 at Target Clearasil - Rapid Rescue Spot Treatment Cream #CherieCreator

Why haven’t I done this sooner?!
Y’all. I am shook. I have been watching skincare TikToks lately, and stumbled upon Mikayla Noguiera (she is so fun and relatable/her skin has TRANSFORMED from acne to completely clear!) I had been noticing how she completely changed her skin by going hard on her skincare routine, and she recommended TO Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% and TO Alpha Arbutin 2% HA. I picked it up from Ulta about 4 days ago, and OMG! First of all, I have very oily skin, so the feeling of these two products soaking into my skin was so nice. I could immediately tell they were working because I felt a tingle from both, which doesn’t bother me. I have noticed a big difference in my acne, going from very large cystic bumps, to much smaller in a few days (usually my cystic acne stays for a good week and a half). My dark spots from previous blemishes are so faded already and I can’t believe how in just 3 nights my skin can already look this good! Tbh I still have a long road ahead to get this acne gone, but I am so encouraged by these 2 products. If you are struggling with hyperpigmentation, this is a must. My nightly routine: -wash face with CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Pat dry and wait until skin is completely dry -apply The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA just a few drops is enough for the whole face! Let dry completely. -apply The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% just a small pea sized amount for the entire face. -Go to bed and wake up with smaller pimples and less dark spots!
