Hi could you please give some product suggestions My skin gets easily irritated and is quite dry. I’m currently using 1. Simple - Kind to Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash 2. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin The rest of my face is fairly clear and i’m only struggling with forehead acne. I also haven’t explored many products in fear of a reaction. Thanks 😊😊

Simple-ly Good.
I really like Simple Skincare. I have sensitive skin and their products work for me. Here are a few goodies I picked up. . . Facial Wash Cleansing Wipes Hydrating Sheet mask. . 💚 Ive been using the facial Wash for a few now and I really like it. It's lightweight yet effective. No irritation or breakouts. 💚 Cleansing Wipes I really like. I know a lot of people frown at wipes but I like them. These are soft and gentle. 💙 I haven't tried the sheet mask yet. Looking forward to trying them. . Do you like Simple Skincare?!?💚💙

Over Exfoliation: Products for Recovery
Many of these can be considered drugstore products since they’re very accessible. I like to make budget friendly recommendations to make it more convenient for everyone including students like myself. —Cleansers— Simple - Kind to Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash This is a very gentle cleanser that has a gel-like texture. It includes very soothing ingredients and rinses very nicely without leaving any residue or a tight feeling. This cleanser effectively removes dirt and oil as well. This product is fragrance-free and it’s only $5! Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Hydrating Gel Cleanser This is another gentle cleanser with many soothing ingredients suitable for sensitive or irritated skin. This cleanser leaves skin refreshed without leaving it dry or tight. It’s fragrance-free and it retails for $7! —Toners/Serums— FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner This toner contains many hydrating and soothing ingredients for calming redness and moisture. This toner provides lightweight hydration and is fragrance-free. This product is free from iffy ingredients such as alcohol and witch hazel which are common among many toners. These ingredients can be too stripping especially for sensitized skin. It also contains antioxidant and fatty acid rich squalane. This toner can be considered to be on the pricier side, retailing for $22. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum This serum has a very lightweight texture that works well for all skin types while providing sheer moisture. The product includes a very good mix of reparative, antioxidant, and anti-irritants. It has hyaluronic acid and collagen which helps reduce inflammation and provides the defense of antioxidants. Another ingredient included is feverfew which has anti-redness capabilities. This product is also fragrance-free and retails for $38. —Emollients— CeraVe - Healing Ointment Emollients are great for those dry flaky areas, especially this one. It’s a gentle formula that is fragrance-free. The formula contains ceramides, hyaluronic acid, a high amount of petrolatum, mineral oil, and silicone which all contribute to this ointment’s healing capabilities. This product retails for $11. Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment This is a very reliable product with a gentle fragrance-free formula. This is a dermatologist favorite for reason since it does amazingly well with dry, cracked, and irritated skin. —Moisturizers— FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer Has a gentle and soothing formula that is also fragrance-free. Good mix of replenishing ingredients with antioxidants. This product moisturizes without leaving a greasy feeling. I hope this helps everyone! :)

Updated AM Routine
My first post was about my AM routine, and since it’s been 6 months, I thought it would be a good time to post an updated AM routine! For reference, I have dry, sensitive, and acne-prone skin. So here are the products I currently use- 1. VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser I recently made the switch from CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser , and I am absolutely loving it! It’s still gentle, but it provides an amazing deep clean! My skin is so soft and clean after using it. It’s the perfect first step for my routine. I use one pump with my Innerneed silicone face scrubber. ($8.99 for 8oz at Target.) 2. HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion : This hyaluronic acid solution contains 5 different molecular weight of hyaluronic acid to penetrate deeply into the skin. It has a gel-like texture. I apply a small amount on damp skin. It leaves my skin feeling plump, hydrated, and glowing. ($15.89 for 5.75oz on Amazon.) 3. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin : This is the moisturizer that I keep coming back to. I have yet to find one that I like better! It’s very thick and moisturizing. It absorbs best when I apply it while my skin is still damp from the hyaluronic acid lotion. It provides a matte finish and keeps my skin soft & hydrated throughout the day! ($9.99 for 8oz at Target.) 4. Krave - The Beet Shield : This is my favorite sunscreen! It’s unlike any sunscreen I’ve ever tried. It’s so light, not sticky, and hydrates my skin! I can reapply it throughout the day without feeling like I have a ton of product on my face. This is my one “splurge” product! ($20 for 1.69oz at Kravebeauty.com) Total routine costs: $54.87 Stay tuned for my PM routine!

Empties + mini reviews
✨Empties✨ The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%. A holy grail for me. This has definitely made a big difference in the brightness and evenness of my skin. It is oil and water free. The low percentage of Vitamin C isn’t too strong for my skin to tolerate. I have already replaced this and am on my third bottle. ✅ Definitely Repurchase. CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser is definitely a oldie but goodie. I do enjoy using this as a morning cleanse, however I never felt like it was quite enough to cleanse the day off in a P.M. routine. I like to use it in P.M. if I’m having a eczema flare or reaction, otherwise I stick to use in the A.M. If you saw my La Roche Posay Vs. CeraVe post, you’ll know my current stance on this product. ✅ Would repurchase (and have many times.) CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. I Can’t live without. My dry skin LOVES this moisturizer as my final step in my evening routine. It is thick, occlusive, and reparative. Probably not the best choice for oily skin or day time use.. but I will never go without it. $12 for this bottle that lasts MONTHS. Currently on my 100th bottle (estimated😜). ✅ Definitely repurchase. Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun. Despite the current controversy, I will still give this product a good review. It is comfortable, moisturizing, and beautiful on the skin. As far as protection... well you know, we will see what happens. 🤞🏼 ✅ Would repurchase (assuming we aren’t being outright deceived.) Sending hugs to you all.🌻 The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+

Cerave Hydrating Cleanser Review
Cerave Hydrating Cleanser Review
I (like many others) saw all the hype around this product and had to try it for myself. The bottle I got is now empty and I have been using it for about 2 months now! Now you may be wondering why I rated CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser only 3 stars... At first I LOVED this product. It made my skin sooo smooth and soft and I fell in love so I used it every am and pm. After about a month I started getting TONS of Fungal Acne all around my face but especially around my chin. I wanted to love this product so bad that I kept using it even though I was getting these results! I know that it wasn’t another product causing this because I only use the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser and the CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin (I do love the Moisturizer btw). Eventually gave up and I stopped using both of the Cerave products. My fungal acne didn’t just *poof* away but it has gone down significantly! Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions!

AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?
AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?
First things first - FOLLOW ME 💙 it means the world. CERAMIDES! The backbone of CeraVe. But what are they and why are they important? Ceramides are lipids (oils) found naturally in the skin and help support the skin barrier and retaining moisture in the skin. Making up 50% of the skin's lipied bi-layer, ceramides help strengthen the protective skin barrier. If ceramide levels are low, the skin's barrier can become compromised and can lead to dry, irritated skin. Ceramides help to strengthen the skin's natural barrier and keep moisture from escaping. Ceramides in skincare is beneficial for all skin types. Since I ditched my high-end skincare and introduced a CeraVe cleanser and moisturiser into my routine, my skin has been incredible!! I have very oily/acne prone skin and have noticed an improvement in overall skin health. CERAVE caused me severe ALLERGIC REACTION!!!
CERAVE caused me severe ALLERGIC REACTION!!!
CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I used both of these product one night and upon waking up this is what happened. My face was all dry, patchy and very itchy. I was not convinced at first that Cerave did this to me because of all the reviews. So I tried to put the lotion into my hands and then rashes began to occur. It has been my 5th day of hydrocortisone and antihistamine treatment but the rashes on my arm is still very itchy. I’m sorry but this product is a very big no for me. I have Combination Skin and I’d never had reaction to any products I have been using so far except this one. This is very traumatizing and I hope it will serve as a CAUTION to everyone to always patch test.

Why your skin might be breaking out…
Why your skin might be breaking out…
Your skin knows best. If issues arise it’s typically from an off balance in your body. Lots of things can affect the health of your skin (i.e. diet, sleep, environment, hormones etc.). Depending on your skin type, your skin can react to these factors differently. The most common reaction is seeing breakouts or developing a sensitivity. The skin has the ability to heal itself but sometimes it needs a little bit of help but if we help it too much, it freaks out. I would recommend a “skin reset”. A skin reset is when you stop using active ingredients or any treatment in your routine. This allows the body to regenerate the good bacteria on your skin. A skin reset consists of the most basic skincare steps. 1. Gentle cleanser 2.Moisturizer for your skin type 3. SPF!!! SPF is very important everyday but it is extra important when you’re skin isn’t happy because the sun is constantly attacking your skin. If your skin doesn’t clear up after 2 weeks of a skin reset, you should consider the other factors above. Hope this helps!!
