Thanking all deities the fragrance is subtle🌹
//copied from my Instagram. Finishing my series of reviews with the product I have been enjoying the most: heimish - Bulgarian Rose Satin Cream *. ⠀⠀ Made for all skin types, including sensitive skin, this product is said to help those with rough, dry skin. Additionally claims to help with wrinkle improvement and whitening. ⠀⠀ I have been enjoying this a lot because it leaves my skin feeling super smooth—like I had just used a primer. The smoothness can possibly be attributed to the silicones in this (I think they’re like ingredients 5 and 7 with another lower in the list?). The texture is a bit misleading, though. It looks super soft, creamy, and fluffy. But it is actually rich and thick and it feels heavy on the skin; sounds like it’ll be a great product to lock in moisture throughout the night, right? Well, it doesn’t. My face feels great immediately after applying this but when I wake up in the morning, my face feels dry and tight. I will give it the benefit of the doubt that it’s because my heat is running 24/7 right now; so, this cream may suit those in warmer, more humid climates. Thankfully it is fast-absorbing and does not leave my skin feeling/looking greasy. As for the brightening and wrinkle improvement? I have seen nothing so far. ⠀⠀ It is fragranced (last ingredient on the list) and thank all deities that it is very subtle! Like mentioned in a previous review, I have sensitive skin, and this does not cause any problems for me. ⠀⠀ *gifted

Not the best, not the worst.
//review copied from my Instagram. Taking this opportunity to work on my #watershots, so be prepared for more! My last two reviews on Heimish products were quite negative. Today, we are going to the opposite side of the spectrum—starting with their famous heimish - All Clean Balm *. ⠀⠀ I’m sure many of you already know, but in case you don’t, this cleansing balm is advertised to satisfy both your first and second cleanse. It starts off as a balm, then to an oil, then transforms into a milk that is gentle on the skin. ⠀⠀ Let me start by saying how much I love the packaging! It’s a flip-top container that’s so convenient and easy. With other cleansing balms, I found it a bit annoying to have to find a way to screw the cap back on without getting any product on the container. With this, it’s something I never had to worry about. The downside is that it doesn’t really close all the way; I’ve tried numerous times to force it to close but it just doesn’t work. Speaking of downsides, another is that this doesn’t turn into a consistent, smooth oil. Unlike other balms, that are immediately smooth when you start rubbing, this one likes to leave clumps every now and then, which reminds me of solid coconut oil. It’s not gritty nor is it comedogenic, thankfully, though it is ridiculous that I have to spend extra time to 1) make sure the chunks don’t fall off my face and 2) work at a specific area so it turns into a uniform, smooth consistency. ⠀⠀ Other than those two problems I previously mentioned, I have had no other complains with this. It leaves my skin feeling smooth, hydrated, and clean. It is fragranced, but it’s a very subtle hint of citrus, I think; it’s quite refreshing. I do go in with a second cleanser, despite it being advertised as being both steps, because of personal preference. Overall, I enjoyed this product and could see myself using it again. However, I’m not a big fan of the chunks that I have to pay special attention to. So not my favorite oil balm, but also not the worst. ⠀⠀ *gifted

I’ll stick with Maybelline. 😂
//review copied from my Instagram. Peeking through this #watershot is OHLOLLY - Heimish Dailism Smudge Stop Mascara *. A big caveat before I begin this review: I don’t wear makeup daily so my knowledge on this subject is very minimal. However, I have worn mascara before and have gone through numerous brands and types to know what I like and don’t like. So please don’t @ me when I sound like an idiot. Thanks. ⠀⠀ Dailism Smudge Stop Mascara* has a brush designed with premium bristles that are meant to separate and coat your lashes. As the name suggests, it is meant to be smudge proof and give a nice, natural look that is crumble-free. Another interesting trait is that it’s easily washable and resistant to tears and sweat. ⠀⠀ The brush itself is a bit curved, almost mimicking the curves of your lashes, which makes application easy. With its premium bristles, it was supposed to separate my lashes but I am not convinced. I tried to capture the amount of clumping I experienced and hopefully you can see how my lashes were NOT separated, so swipe to the second photo! I only used two coats but even after the first I noticed clumping. I do have to admit that it added length and volume, though. ⠀⠀ It was indeed easily washable. Perhaps too washable to the point where I don’t think it is resistant to sweat and tears. With the smallest amount of water, the mascara came right off with no problems. So can you imagine sweating or crying? Your mascara would literally come off completely. Even without water, this mascara came right off—kind of like dry glue that clumps and rolls off of something. Oh and crumble-free? Not so much. I had a lot of extra residue that fell off every time I blinked. For $15 USD, it’s not worth it in my opinion. I’ll stick with Maybelline. 😂 ⠀⠀ *gifted

“You smell like an old lady.” - the boyfriend
//review copied from my Instagram. Starting off my series of reviews with a #watershot and a wee-bit of texture (yes, there is some!) for #texturetuesday. Today’s review will be the product I liked the least; heimish - Black Tea Mask Pack * ⠀⠀ One of the main characteristics that they claim to be a pro is ‘Perfume Therapy’. My goodness, they claim that a strong perfume smell will leave your skin feeling refreshed. They claim it’s great for all skin types, specifically those with sensitive skin. I have sensitive skin (not sensitized, but sensitive) and this product left my face slightly red—presumably from the obnoxious fragrance. Let me throw a quick quote from my boyfriend who was standing a few feet away, “I can smell it from here. You smell like an old lady.” ⠀⠀ Cooling, immediate pore shrinkage, reduce in swelling, and strengthening elasticity are all claims of this product. I did give this mask a fair chance by using it multiple times and I can conclude that, while it is cooling, it definitely does not ‘immediately’ shrink pores. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I saw any pore shrinkage. I must say, though, this mask was very hydrating, to my surprise. ⠀⠀ This product has a creamy soft texture to it. I enjoyed applying it because it was just so darn smooth. Washing it off was an ease as well, which I was a fan of. Messy masks are never good, especially in the mornings, like this mask is recommended for. It’s supposed to be effective at reducing morning puffiness and fatigue but I’m not convinced. ⠀⠀ I appreciate the opportunity to try this product and, while I cannot recommend it to those with sensitive skin, I should remind you that everyone reacts differently to products. If you’re an avid fan of Heimish products, have an interest in this product, or even want to try it—then do! ⠀⠀ *gifted

Odacité SKINCARE - Rose + Neroli Hydra Vitalizing Treatment Mist in Rose + Neroli. Very hydrating and does a great job at giving me a refreshed look. I clearly didn’t have enough to truly test out its potential, but I have high hopes for this product. I tend to shy away from rose scented products because of how strong they are but this was the completely opposite. It wasn’t subtle but it also wasn’t too strong; it was perfect. And it smelled amazing. //next two products have been reviewed in a previous post. I copied and pasted ~ FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream this is amazing! I love how lightweight, fast-absorbing, and moisturizing this cream is. It was perfect for my entire body, especially dry areas like my elbows and feet. Absolutely. Perfect. FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm frankly, this cleansing balm was just okay. It was super smooth but felt very thin so it didn’t feel like it was cleaning my skin. I guess I’m just used to thicker consistencies for my cleansing oils. Also to back-up my claims of it not cleansing well: I noticed more blackheads than usual and my pores felt clogged. So I don’t think this oil dissolved many impurities and sebum.

Clean everyday SPF!
Supergoop prides itself in being a clean brand that doesn’t sacrifice its products efficacy and I can absolutely see why! If you head on over to their website and look at their No-List, it has so many ingredients that you will never see in their products! Supergoop! - Everyday Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 PA ++++ is said to be a “hydrating, fast-absorbing formula [that] provides high performance protection from UVA, UVB, and IRA rays, while also helping prevent photoaging and dehydration.” And it is also water and sweat-resistant, up to 80 minutes! This product is advertised to be fast-absorbing and I’m not too sure what Supergoop’s requirements are to fall under that category. I absolutely LOVE fast-absorbing products and this, unfortunately, did not meet my requirements. I would say it takes a solid 30-60 minutes for it to absorb so that means you are left with greasy, shiny, and sticky skin for 30-60 minutes. Oh, speaking of sticky—Supergoop says this doesn’t leave you sticky either. So I am definitely a confused soul when it comes to what this product actually delivers and what Supergoop claims. If you are afraid of sunscreens that leave a white-cast, like myself, then you don’t have to worry about this one. Definitely no white-cast, which is what I love about this the most! Despite not enjoying this sunscreen as much as others, I am still willing to give Supergoop another try. It may have just been me choosing a product that wasn’t right for my skin type. So I’d probably recommend this to those who lean towards drier skin. I spoke with Supergoop and they kindly checked their master list for me after they had listed all their noncomedogenic sunscreens. This wasn’t originally on the list but after checking, they have found that it IS noncomedogenic which is amazing for us acne-prone folks! 💕
