Okay but what do we think about this skin milk?
So what do you guys think of this foundation? I’ve heard so many mixed reviews. Some love it and some hate it. I will give an honest opinion on what I think. This formula is super soft and oily. It kind of reminds me of SkinCeuticals physical cushion sunscreen (which I hate). Also, almost everyone I have asked notices the SMELL. I will never be able to understand what the smell is. I’ve never smelled anything like it. I don’t like it at all. While using this it actually didn’t look bad on my skin. I had a really nice skin day so that might be why. I feel like this product has to be blended in a lot to look okay and once blended it’s super sheer. I don’t think I would ever honestly reach for this again. COVERGIRL - Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation Pros: soft and silky hydrating sheer coverage vegan Cons: oily not much coverage clogs pores smells bad sets into creases and amplifies dry skin

SO sad about this one😭😭
So I’ve had this product for awhile now and I keep trying it again thinking that something different will happen... but it never does 💔 The culprit I speak of is the Covergirl Clean Fresh Skin Milk Nourishing Foundation. It claims to be a sheer, buildable coverage foundation infused with coconut milk and aloe extract. Ladies and gentlemen, I have thoughts... So, I’ll start with positives: Coverage: I actually think the coverage is decent on this, considering it’s claim of being sheer. This evened out my skin tone and covered minor flaws easily and built up nice. I felt totally comfortable with the coverage even with having acne and a lot of scarring. Could you see said acne and scarring a bit? Yes, but it didn’t look bad. This isn’t full coverage and it never claimed to be. I’d said it’s a solid light coverage but can be built up to light- medium. Finish: The finish was absolutely beautiful on this and what really sold me at first. It was so natural and the glow? Unreal! I have very dry skin so I was loving it. I could definitely see this being a bit too much on those who have oily skin though. Also, this did oxidize on me a bit which I didn’t care for. It wasn’t super orange though, so I dealt with it. Packaging: I personally love the packaging because I’m a big fan of squeeze tubes for hygienic purposes. The tube is pink which is also cute. One of my favorite things about this foundation is that it’s cruelty free and vegan!!!🐰🐰 Now let’s get into the not so great aspects of this foundation: Longevity: As I said before, I have super dry skin, so I don’t usually have issues with foundations lasting. This gave me about 6-8 hours of wear before beginning to disappear. This isn’t horrible but this isn’t great, especially since I can usually wear foundations much longer. That really makes me think that this would not last long at all on oily skinned folks or even combo skin. Shade Range: Covergirl has 14 shades available on their website and I’m not feeling it. I just feel like that’s not inclusive enough. Fragrance: Covergirl claims this is fragrance free but there’s absolutely no way. Honestly I’m not even that sensitive to smells but this bad boy was strong! It has the oddest smell too...kind of like buttered popcorn. Nice smell but not for my makeup. I even seen YouTubers complain of this, so it’s not just me😅 The deal breaker for me is this gave me an ALLERGIC REACTION every single time I wore it. I have NEVER had an allergic reaction to anything before, and haven’t since. I have no idea what is in this that broke me out but let me tell you, it was bad. My face was super itchy and burned while I wore it. Then, when I took it off, I had little red bumps( maybe hives?) all over my face. Every. Time. It does contain coconut and aloe, but I’ve used both of my face before with no issues. I wanted to love this but the allergic reaction was a no-go for me. Has anyone had similar experiences? Or am I the only one?😅

Need New Makeup Routine
Hi! So I'm finding my makeup routine isn't working as well as it used to. I'm currently using the Nyx Pore Filler Primer, Maybelline FitMe Foundation (I've tried both the matte and dewy), e.l.f. camo hydrating concealer, Maybelline BB Cream, and the Maybelline FitMe Loose Powder to finish (all linked below). I moisturize beforehand with an oil free moisturizer and use a moist makeup sponge to apply. My big issues are cakiness/creasing, rough skin from acne and scarring, redness, lots of visible pores, visible dark circles, and some dry patches near my eyes. I have combination skin so my cheeks and nose are VERY oily but my forehead and skin around my eyes is more dry. I'm just not getting the coverage I want and my face doesn't look smooth in the slightest. I'd like to stay on the cheaper side but would be willing to spend more for a product that really works. Any help is appreciated, thank you! MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation NYX - Pore Filler Primer e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder MAYBELLINE - Dream Fresh BB Cream 8-In-1 Skin Perfector SPF 30

Golden Eyes for a Mask
Guess what??!!! I STILL used blush highlight and bronzer 😂 😂 😂 . BECCA - First Light Priming Filter I live live live this primer even though I have oily skin. Sometimes this and mascara is all I wear for the day. URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Waterproof Setting Powder keeps me matte for a little while, but with my primer, I still look glowy #E.l.f - Hydrating Coconut Mist[products]#[FiveStars] does what it says and has a light coconut scent e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer good for my dry under eyes FENTY BEAUTY - Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer perfect shade for me and blends out beautifully shady biz BECCA - BECCA Mineral Blush very pretty shade to match my warm eye look camellia Violet Voss - HG PRO Eyeshadow Palette o m g this is my jam I love this palette NARS - Climax Extreme Mascara this is a very wet formula, all it did for me was define my lashes, and I feel I can get better results elsewhere. I’m glad I only have a sample size lol. Sooo...... what do you think??? I’m not much into eyeliner, mainly because my hands shake a bit, so that pretty much rules liner out!

New ( to me) Products on my radar
Truth be told, I have about 6 products on my Pintrest shopping list, these are just the 3 I have never purchased before. As a Millennial, we make a habit of doing copious amounts of research on a product, before making a purchase (probably why apps like this and pintrest do so well). 2 Are ones I'm waiting for the empties, but due to the short shelf life of mascara, that one will be a product purchased by the end of November. What are you experiences with these 3?

LET'S TALK MASCARA! 🥰
(TAGGED IN PIC FROM LEFT --> RIGHT) Today I'm going to be rating some mascaras and sharing some tips & tricks with you about, you guessed it, mascara! First let's start with tips, these will be about application & just things that may make the application easier: BEND THE WAND! I know this seems scary but it can actually help with your application & lessen the chances of smudging. So just take your wand head & bend it to a 90° angle this will allow you to maneuver the wand better and keep you from getting that clump of mascara on your nose, you know what I'm talking about. 🤣 I promise the wand will be safe & intact as long as we don't go Hulk on it. DRY MASCARA? This is one of my personal favorite hacks, if you accidentally left your mascara open or anything like that run the tube under hot water/keep it inside of a glass while doing other steps of your make up routine this will help smooth out the formula & make application 10x better. SMUDGING? Use a clean spoolie (like on the back of brow pencil) AFTER mascara has dried, if you gently brush the spoolie onto your face the mascara will begin to flake off without ruining your look! TWIRL, DON'T PUMP! I know it seems natural to pump your mascara tube for more products but please stop! When you do, it allows air inside the tube which can dry out the formula & make it susceptible to bacteria. So if you need more product, before you fully take out the wind twirl it around for even distribution of product. MIXING! I do this all the time try using more than one type of mascara, all wands are made differently so they have different purposes I like to use a voluminous and lengthening mascara! Find a formula you love & see what you can do to make it even BETTER! Lastly I just wanna touch on different application techniques - Wiggling wand: helps maintain curl - Wiggling horizontally at lash base: thicker/voluminous lashes - Wiggling vertically at lash base: natural effect Now the fun part: RATINGS! Most are waterproof formula because I feel it holds my lashes up longer. MAYBELLINE - Volum' Express The Rocket Waterproof Mascara - an old favorite! good volume not my favorite brush head, it is plastic. benefit - They’re Real! Lengthening Mascara - don't like the "They're Real" line! everything feels dry & doesn't apply well L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara - okay but too wet, smudged on me a lot L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara - great for separating, i like to pair this with other mascaras! essence - Lash Princess False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara - current fave! all essence mascaras are bangers but this one is the BEST! Too Faced - Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara - stayed put but almost too well! need industrial grade remover for this Thanks for reading. ❤️ #cheriepartner

MY FAVE EYESHADOW PALETTES 🥳
Hello again my loves today I am going to be sharing with you some of my favorite eyeshadow palettes of all time! i'm going over four pallets today and sharing what shades are my favorites, today we have two high-end and two drugstore palettes! Let's get started 🥰 REVOLUTION - Soph x Ultra 24 Eyeshadow Palette - this palette is a collaboration with a British YouTuber (sophdoeslife) on top of a loving her content this palette has blown me away. it's my favorite every day palette it has amazing warm tones and accent colors. i've had this for almost over a year and I've barely hit pan in a lot of the shades, i've actually use this in most of my tutorials on this page! FAVORITE SHADES: Pancakes (light skintone shade), Cuppa Tea (bronzey matte), Petrol (duo chrome; blue & purple shifts), Rosewood (deep brown, close to black) ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette - we all know and love this palette but I do need to give it some proper recognition! the formula of this specific palette is unmatched the shades can be a little powdery but the payoff is worth it. i use this more when I am going out or plan to be wearing my make up for a long time because I know the shadows will stay put. either way whether it's a daytime or nighttime look this palette will make it happen! FAVORITE SHADES: Burnt Orange (soft, diffused orange), Primavera (champagne/golden shimmer), Love Letter (magenta), Cyprus Umber (dark brown) NYX - Ultimate Shadow Palette - depicted I have the Brights addition of this pallet but NYX does have multiple others. I really like this palette for my more colorful looks because the shadows are super easy to work with. I would definitely say that this palette is beginner friendly so if you're going to start anywhere with color I would start here! FAVORITE SHADES: #8 (soft purple) & #12 (aqua blue) MORPHE - The James Charles Palette - I would recommend this palette for people who are a little more confident in their eyeshadow techniques. the only reason I say this is because the colors are highly pigmented and shades like Skip (bright pink) can cause stains! I really like the row of a large shadow pans in the middle but again, I would say that this pallet has a learning curve so be patient and blend away! FAVORITE SHADES: Face (can be used as highlighter, large pan; soft white with golden flecks), Mary (dusty pink), Spooky (deepest black I've ever used), Artistry (purple shimmer) I'll be giving a full eyeshadow collection post very soon! But until then.. Sending love. Thank you for reading. ❤️ #cheriecreator #cheriepartner

makeup that I can’t live without: bronzer
A couple makeup items I can’t live without is a brow filler, mascara, and bronzer. I’ve been blessed in the way that, besides a couple of minor blemishes (and some major blemishes once every couple of years), I don’t really have major issues that I need to cover up with lots of foundation and concealer, so one of the main makeup items I feel like I can’t live without is bronzer. Bronzer is used to give the skin a subtle glow, and since I usually wake up looking pale and colorless, I like to add bronzer to my bare face to add some color. No matter the occasion, no matter the day, I like to apply bronzer really quickly to add a glow. My skin tone changes with the seasons, as the amount of sun that I get changes depending on the season, so I have a couple of bronzers that complement my changing skin tone throughout the year. Honestly, I’ve only ever used these two brands but they’re both so amazing that I don’t really feel the need to try other brands. And these last SOOO long because you really only need a little bit to give yourself that color. Besides using these to color my cheek bones, I like to blend this onto my eyelids to give a warm, monochromatic look. Using these products as 2-in-1 products is super helpful. Bobbi Brown was my first real makeup brand, so of course I have loyalty to them. But in all honesty, their products are so versatile, pigmented, and easy to use, so of course I would love them even more. They are a bit pricey, with theBOBBI BROWN - BOBBI BROWN Bronzing Powder coming to $44, but like I said it has multiple uses and it lasts forever. I’ve had mine for at least 6 years and it’s still not used up yet! Bobbi Brown is all about enhancing your natural beauty rather than covering it all up, and I feel like this product does just that. This is a matte bronzing powder so it’s perfect if you’d like a more matte look. I use this pretty much all over my face (very lightly) and I find it helps blur my pores. Another brand I’ve come to learn about is Physician’s Formula. This is a drugstore brand where the PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer ranges from $5-$16 depending where you buy it from. As the name suggests, it’s a buttery bronzer that glides onto your skin, moisturizing it while it gives you that color. It has a more pearlescent quality to it than the Bobbi Brown one, so it’s perfect for a more dewy and illuminating look. Again, I use this on my eyelids for some natural color, and I use it lightly all over my face add color all over. It has a very tropical scent (coconut-ey) that isn’t overpowering but reminds me of vacationing in Hawaii or in the Caribbean, and it doesn’t irritate my skin. It’s really the perfect bronzer for any kind of occasion! What are your thoughts about bronzer?

hello everyone! today i am sharing with you a cool, unique look to stand out💖 this look is a cool-toned, brown and green combination that is perfect for a cool fall/winter look!❄️🍂 lemme know what you think in the comments below and dont forget to follow and cheer!🥰❤️ face👱🏽‍♀️: COVERGIRL - TruBlend Face Primer i used the mattifying version of this COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation i used the shaade 25 W for warm, pale skin. this foundation is great because they make some really pale shades! e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer in light peach Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder this doesnt keep oil away for too long, but it does mattify intially and blurs well NARS - NARS Blush i used the shade “super orgasm”. this blush is better for someone who prefers very little color in their blush. COLOURPOP - COLOURPOP X Mulan Eyeshadow Palette i used the cool brown shade “imperial” as a contour on my forehead and cheekbones ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Moonchild Glow Kit i used the shade “lucky” which is a silver-green highlight. i put it on my cheeks and my inner corners eyes👁: URBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion this is the best eye primer ever!!😊 COLOURPOP - COLOURPOP X Mulan Eyeshadow Palette i used the cool brown shade “imperial” to shade above the crease, and the dark brown shade “true” to deepen it even more. i then used a COLOURPOP - Colourpop Super Shock Shadow called “empire” all over my lid. for eye liner, i put COLOURPOP - Crème Gel Liner called ice breaker in the water line to add a mint green effect. then, i used COLOURPOP - BFF Liquid Liner on the outside of my eyes and my inner corner to make my eyes look huge👁 i finished with my all time favorite L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Original Mascara 😊 #CheriePartner

a look i’m currently obsessed with
just a look i did last night that i can’t get over because it is so pretty!!! some of the products i used are smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer Super Light i rated this 3 stars because it feels nice, does its job, but i don’t necessarily feel it makes that much of a difference in extending the wear of makeup. smashbox - Studio Skin 24 Hour Oil-Free Hydra Foundation (SHADE 0.1) i loveeee this foundation!!! it looks so flawless on the skin. it is medium to full coverage, & a semi-matte formula; perfect for my combination skin. it doesn’t feel or look cakey either. however, i am struggling to find a primer & powder that works well with this foundation. most i’ve tried make the foundation separate, or look surprisingly flakey. the only con to what would be a perfect foundation!! HOURGLASS - Vanish Airbrush Concealer (SHADE BIRCH) i absolutely love this concealer as well!! it looks absolutely flawless on the skin, almost like an airbrush effect (hehehehe) & it is definitely a full coverage concealer. the only issue i have with this concealer in particular is the shade range. i feel as if it is lacking in that department & therefore i struggle to rate this 5 stars. i cannot bring myself to suggest this product if it is not available for everyone to try. disappointing. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Loose Setting Powder (SHADE VANILLA) this is such an incredible setting powder. let me preface this with i am NOT AT ALL A FAN OF BAKING!!! i do not bake my face, nor do i recommend others with combo skin to. i cannot suggest this as a baking powder as that’s not what i use it for, however, it does not flake or cake my face whatsoever. it makes it look so flawless & smooth. i have struggled to find a face powder i enjoy, & this has quickly become my favourite. this could possibly be a new holy grail product. i love it!! e.l.f. - Wow Brow Gel (SHADE NEUTRAL BROWN) it does the job. it makes my brows look very fluffy & it is super easy to use. the staying powder is great & it doesn’t clump on my brows nor is it runny. also, the price is unbeatable & the packaging is very cute!! i am sad to say though, you don’t get a lot of product & there’s only 4 shades. MAC - Pro Longwear Paint Pot Eyeshadow (SHADE BARE STUDY) wow. i have been skeptical of eye primers, but this one has changed the game for me!! it really does make the shadows pop & makes the stay on for such a long time!! although i don’t recommend the shade bare study, it’s a shimmer & i didn’t realise until i tried it out!! i have heard the shades soft ochre & painterly are popular for this product so if you are using this as an eye primer, keep your eyes peeled for those shades!! the rest of the products are tagged in the photo!! 💞💞💞

OLD FAVES: DRUGSTORE FOUNDATIONS ✨
This one will be a little shorter because it will just be ratings! My preferred method of application is with a beauty sponge, here's the list of tools & primers I use! - e.l.f. - Total Face Sponge - e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer - MILANI - Prime Protect SPF 30 Face Primer - ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil - MILANI - Make It Last Prime + Correct + Set Setting Spray (Check out my everyday makeup routine to see a full base tutorial!) Let's get into these ratings! MAYBELLINE - Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation - this is one of my holy grail foundations! i like their shade range so i can account for both my summer and winter shades. i always end up going back to this one! i just WISH the glass packaging had a pump or we could just make the tube worldwide. MILANI - Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer - let me preface by saying: it's THICK. full coverage to the max, almost a mousse texture. i go for this when i know i'll be having a long night with my makeup. definitely not an everyday formula. wet n wild - Photofocus Liquid Matte Foundation - another one of my go-to's, this is the original finish which is more satin/natural at least on myself! i like the spatula applicator on this one it's way less messy. definitely a more watery, smooth formula. CATRICE COSMETICS - HD Liquid Coverage Foundation - abysmal shade range, was okay but didn't really make a difference. i used this as a mixer for a long time, it comes in a dropper like serum so I could use it to lighten other foundations. other than that it was nothing to write home about. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - The Healthy Foundation SPF 20 - the packaging on this one actually broke on me but just the top lid part, probably user error. it comes with a large doe foot applicator, it has an interesting smell i will say that. otherwise i like how they do their shade matching by undertones & they keep their chart available and easy to understand! i like the finish, it would dry down slightly cakey but after a few mins + setting spray it would melt down into the skin beautifully! Remember to always give your foundations a full test run! Of course unless you experience irritation or incorrect color match. Some foundations do have a learning curve, for example there are certain foundations that apply better with a brush I have no idea why but it just works that way sometimes. If there are issues, try to check what products you're using that may not be a good pair with your foundation! Every foundation has a different finish so it's important to be aware of that when you're going into your make up routine. Thanks for reading. ❤️ #cheriecreator #cheriepartner

AM, PM, Occasional, and New Products!
I’ve been simplifying my day to day routines and working in “specialty” products on occasion, to save time and money. AM (Alllll about quick and easy!) Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: Great top coat to seal in extra moisture Cicaplast Baume 5: Also a great top coat, more occlusive and I love when I’m feeling super dry Acne Spot Treatment: Kate Somerville EradiKate reduces size and redness overnight. Tends to pull off the whiteheads and cause bleeding & thus scarring when removed the next morning, so use with caution Holy Grail: Naturopathica Alpine Rose Recovery Serum. This is a 7-day treatment serum that reduces redness, plumps you up, and helps bump up the glow. For use 3-4 times a year at most, so would be great to use if you have an event you want to look extra glowy for. (Who goes anywhere nowadays? I can dream...) New Products (both recommended by my skincare group. Will update) Stratia Liquid Gold: Additional evening moisture layer Stratia Rewind: evening moisture layer, supposed to help with redness too

Finally part two of my skin care basics! A lot of the steps are the same but I do have different products in those places. Let's get into it.... 1) MAKEUP REMOVER: this step is essential after a long day, look at this like double cleansing so they scheduled the service layer off before your cleanser goes in to get a deeper clean. my product: CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm 2) CLEANSER: cleansing helps to get rid of dead skin, pollutants, oils, dirt, and bacteria in general but many dermatologists & estheticians recommend that you should wash your face first thing in the morning so that you can prepare your skin for any other products that go on top of it. my product: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser 3) EYE CREAM: the eye area is a super fragile, sensitive part of the face so your best bet is to apply your eye cream right away. to allow for maximum moisturization, apply first and pat around the area GENTLY! also in the AM, eye cream can help tighten and depuff the eyes. my product: BURT’S BEES - Sensitive Eye Cream 4) TONER/ESSENCE/MIST: this step can help to prime your skin to absorb active ingredients, do you research on whether you should be using a toner or an essence. shameless plug, one of my first posts is about the difference between toners and tonics, check that out for help. my products: pixi - Collagen Tonic pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist 5) SERUM(S): this stuff delivers the bulk of active ingredients to your freshly primed face! if you apply serums over thicker formulas (moisturizers, etc.) they may not penetrate as well. serums DIFFER from day to night. be sure to choose ingredients that are SAFE for the time of day you're using them. (i.e. retinol should be used AT night, vitamin c during the day) my product: PACIfICA - Dream Shot Beauty Sleep Booster Serum 6) RETINOL: as stated above right now is best used at night! i use a retinol alternative. check out my dedicated post on bakuchiol vs. retinol! my product: ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Dual Phase Bakuchiol Serum 7) MOISTURIZER: think of this as a way to seal in everything you just did! look for hyaluronic acid & other ingredients that lock in moisture. my products: CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream CLARISMA - Cali Dreaming Cream Daily Moisturizer 8) SPOT TREATMENT: only if necessary, you should be applying spot treatment on active breakouts both morning & night to accelerate the healing process. my product: JĀSON - JĀSON Tea Tree Oil 9) FACE OIL: i have a special post also on what face oils can do for oily skin! they help trap moisture in your skin & as a protective barrier. think of it like skin care topcoat. my product: ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil Thanks for reading! ❤️

Cream vs. powder eyeshadow
Eyeshadow can be such a fun part of a makeup routine. Whether it is cream or powder, eyeshadow can enhance the eyes in a simple way. Let’s delve into two formulas I have in my collections: Personally, I love the versatility of cream eyeshadows. Will it be an eyeshadow, eyeshadow primer, base, eyeliner, etc.c today? Who knows? The Milk MAKEUP - Eye Pigment in Silent Disco is relatively beginner friendly. What it does?: On Milk’s website, the eye pigments come in 8 different colors available for purchase. (Only 5 are on Sephora.com.) The pigments are meant to be long-wearing, crease-free, oil-free, cruelty-free and a whole lot of other things free. Use with an angled brush for a colorful winged eyeliner look. There I was digging through the beauty section of one of my local T.J. Maxx and I saw the Milk MAKEUP - Eye Pigment in Silent Disco. Described as a deep brown base with copper and gold shimmers, it is actually more unique than it sounds. To me, the base almost looks black which is why I compared it to the black in the REVOLUTION - Soph x Ultra 24 Eyeshadow Palette palette with both COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow used on top of that to create a similar look. MY EXPERIENCE: This pigment is so pretty and acts as a great all-over lid shade of you are having a lazy makeup day. The $5.99 price tag (0.34 fl. oz./10 mL) makes me love it more. (It is originally $24.) My eyelids are slightly darker and oily, but this covers the discoloration and shows true to color. The oils from my eyelids don’t break this pigment down easily. ••• If you ever want to dupe another shadow, then COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow and REVOLUTION - Soph x Ultra 24 Eyeshadow Palette are the way to go. Like I said the Milk pigment was such a unique color that CP just didn’t have. (Or at the very least, wasn’t in my collection.) I do think the this combo gets pretty close. Recommend? I recommend both. Milk for the product, but not the $24 price tag and CP/MR for the price tag, but not for the specific color.

2020 Summer “Sweet Treats” Themed Makeup
2020 Summer “Sweet Treats” Themed Makeup
For those of us who live in the Southern Hemisphere, Summer is just around the corner, and things are already heating up, and it’s not just the weather, honey! In the next few months, half the world will be heading into springtime, and that brings fresh fashion, bright colours, and fierce makeup with it. Here’s how you can create a quick, easy, “sweet treats” themed makeup look to match your shining summertime personality. Complexion Work: For my base makeup, I used REVOLUTION - Fast Base Stick Foundation in shade F3. I concealed with the help of REVOLUTION - Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer in shade C1. I contoured my cheeks using Revlon Sculpt & Highlight Contour Kit, in shade light/medium. I then applied a soft layer of Juvia's PLACE - The Saharan Blush Palette shade Leena. I also used NYX - Strobe of Genius Holographic Stick in “Mermaid Amour” for an iridescent shine. Colourful Sweet Treats Eye Makeup: Moving on to the eyes, I used theMORPHE - The James Charles Palette for the whole look. I started off by packing on “Pinkity Drinkity” onto the inner half of my eyelid and crease. I then took a light dab of “Skip”, then more Pinkity Drinkity on the same brush to deepen the shade slightly and make it more of a soft but vibrant pink. For darker skin tones, you may want to use more Skip to create a brighter colour. Next up is shade “518”, which I took on a small blending brush and packed onto the outer corner of my eyelid, sweeping inward diagonally toward my lash line. Similarly, I pulled that orange shade outwards towards the tail of my brow, and softly blended it into my pink shadows. I also pulled some of 518 onto the outer third of my lower lash line. To complete the lower lash line, I used shade “Bee” to bring some lightness and brightness to the inner portion of my eye, blending it into 518 along the way. For a final pop of summery colour, I packed shade “Hello” onto a small pencil brush, and spritzed it with a setting spray, before packing it onto the inner corner of my eye. The super shiny effect of the shadow and its lustrous, tropical colour really added a fun and fabulous edge to the themed look. I finished the eyes off with a little black eyeshadow on the outer half of my upper lash line, and some MAYBELLINE - Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara on my lashes, and there you have it! A quick, easy summer makeup look for all levels of makeup lovers. Would you like to see some “how to guides” for more wearable, colourful looks? Comment what colours you’d like to learn how to wear during the daytime!

Blends smoothly and legit the smallest amount goes a long way KENIA ONTIVEROS BEAUTY - Blush and Shine Kit highly pigmented blush and highlight palette for my dark skinned people 🤗 I used the shades xoxo & gemini on my cheeks and shade camera over my cheek bonesViolet Voss - Essentials Eye Shadow Palette I’ve only played with this a little but the shades are pretty nice in this! I used the deep brown shade blown out on my lid, into the crease and under my lash line for a soft smokey look. Then used the black shade to add a smudged liner on top MAYBELLINE - Lash Sensational Mascara Full Fan Effect the best mascara of all time 👏🏽 always add definition to the eyes especially important during meetings NYX - Slide On Lip Pencil use the shade red tape to softly outline my lips and then added the LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask to add back hydration Super simple and the eyes pop without being too much and I love it! 🥰 also this is a perfect day time look for the fall with the soft blown out brown smokey eye! Tip: if you are lighter, choose a chocolate shade slightly deeper from your complexion for all over the lid and the same goes for any deeper skin tones than myself, choose a slightly deeper brown to add that smoke to the lid🍂 #cheriepartner

🌹pat mcgrath divine rose i review 🌹
i used this palette for the first time today and unsurprisingly, i love it. it’s so versatile – whether you‘re going for an everyday look or more dramatic glam, this palette has it. lighting – indirect sunlight application – fluffy brush, small blending brush, chisel brush, and fingers skin tone & undertone – light with neutral undertones other products used (eye only) – pretty VULGAR - Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer / Kokie - Be Bright Liquid Concealer / tarte - SEA Surfer Curl Volumizing Mascara texture & pigmentation – okay so WOW. these are so creamy and buttery. they glide on effortlessly, whether on a brush or fingers. the pigment is incredible. the mattes are bold yet buildable. and the shimmers. oh, those shimmers. never before have i applied a SINGLE layer of a shimmer and been happy with the result, i always have to build and build and build. but these are something else. otherworldly. then there’s the signature pat mcgrath shift shades. the iridescent, elusive color that you can’t quite pin down because it’s neither, it’s both. staying power – oh, it stays & slays. price – 125.00 usd. i bought this as part of a duo with divine rose ii as well as during a sale, so i paid considerably less. however, i do think it’s worth the money. the pans are larger than in other eyeshadow palettes i’ve used and because a little goes a long way in this case, i know this will last long. today, i used – velouria astral solstice vr rose venus refined gold 002 skinshow nude

SUMMER 2020 RED LIP MAKEUP LOOK
SUMMER 2020 RED LIP MAKEUP LOOK
Hey fam, here's a look that I never get sick of, especially for summer. I actually wore this exact look for my wedding last week 💍 It was perfect for the short ceremony at the city hall and formal enough for a nice dinner after. IMO you can never go wrong with simple eye makeup and a classic cool toner red lip! Here are the products I used: wet n wild - Photofocus Liquid Matte Foundation This is such a great affordable foundation that just works. I don't find it's very high coverage but that's exactly what I prefer. e.l.f. - Selfie Foundation Blurring Brush This makeup brush makes putting on foundation SO fast. It's actually converted me from makeup sponges back to brushes! URBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion Always makes eyeshadow last so much longer! NARS - Blush/Bronzer Duo I actually don't tend to use this as bronzer, but rather as eyeshadow. It's the perfectly slightly warm brown for a summery wash of colour over the eyelids. L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara This is the most impressed I've been with a Western drugstore mascara for a while! However I do find it does flake a little towards the end of the day. MAYBELLINE - Brow Ultra Slim Defining Eyebrow Pencil I like how thin this is, again it makes everything so quick and easy for a great brow. benefit - 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel It took me a while to learn how to use this for my brows! It's a great brow gel but honestly overpriced for what it is. MAC - Ruby Woo Lip Duo My favourite red lip, ever. My lipstick version is actually from the limited edition Collab that Rihanna did with MAC. the Balm cosmetics - Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer Highlighter i have had this for so long, you can see it's well loved! Its my favourite highlighter, perfect for my skin tone.
