Tips to Get the Most of Curology 🔥 🌟
Thanks for my goodies @curology! So happy to be a part of the #Curologyambassador family! 💗 Curology doesn’t work 100% of the time for everyone. As you know, skin issues are much more than skin deep. If you have a hormonal imbalance, topicals aren’t going to be the best for you. But they can still help with texture and hyperpigmentation. My tip: Many users can tolerate Curology every night. BUT if you’re new to any of its ingredients (like tretinoin), you might want to start slow. So you might find one to begin once a week for two weeks. Then, twice a week. Move up to three times a week. And then try it 4-5 times a week. First two week: Use twice a week (M/F) Third-four week: Use three times a week (M/W/F) After first month: Use four or five times a week (M/W/F/S) HOWEVER, this timeline only works if your skin is tolerating it. How do you know it is? We’ll make sure you DO NOT have any of these:
IrritationEven if you can tolerate 4-5 times a week, I recommend you give your skin a day or two to relax and use those days for masks and moisturizers instead. 🌟 PD: I’m linking to my Curology page (I don’t get any commissions) for anyone who wants to try two months for FREE! #curologyambassador

Lactic Acid 5% plus HA
I needed an exfoliator to put into my routine because i noticed my skin was getting clogged from wearing more makeup than usual. I decided on trying the The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA after seeing that @DermDoctorrecommended it. The first time i put it on it stung a bit but i expected it because my skin isn’t used to it. I put it on after my Curology - Curology formula which i don’t know if that’s the best decision. If I shouldn’t be using them together please let me know. After i put it on i put on my moisturizer. I’ve been using it for a while now and it definitely helped me personally clear up my face. It doesn’t sting at all when I put it on. I totally recommend it!
Honest thoughts on Curology 🧐
𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 is a customized skincare subscription service - i’m sure we’ve all heard of it! Ever since I learned about prescription tretinoin, I knew I had to try it. I like that Curology can prescribe Tretinoin through an online consultation so it saved me a lot of money. I signed up and I received my first bottle in the first week of 2020. 𝐌𝐲 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 & 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬: I have combination, sensitized, acne-prone skin with PIH 𝐌𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐈 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭: I used two formulas: First month (January): Tretinoin 0.01% , Clindamycin 1%, Azelaic Acid 4% Next two months: Tretinoin 0.018%, Clindamycin 1%, Azelaic Acid 8% *NOTE: I specifically asked for tretinoin and azelaic acid * I have been using Adapalene for two months before I started Curology and was at the purging stage. 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡: My free trial arrived the first week of January and I tried it right away. As per the instructions, I washed my face with a gentle cleanser, applied moisturizer then the cream. I used it 2x a week. I was alternately using it with Adapelene. For the first month, the effects weren’t super obvious - other than my skin becoming smoother and softer feeling than it ever had before. 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡: I think my skin was at its worst in my second month of Tretinoin (4th month adapalene). I had more cystic acne and I was literally red all day -- I like to call it my full-on purging stage. I just stuck to it anyway. By this time, my skin was also feeling dry and I had slight peeling. My routine was: cleanser, thick moisturizer, and tretinoin. I was using my formula 3x a week. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡: The last weeks of the third month was when I saw the big changes in my skin. I was able to use the cream nightly by this time. Only word I can use to describe it is - shocked. I went from having cystic, red acne and rough patches to having smooth and completely calmed skin. Though left with hyperpigmentations, my skin was better than ever. 𝗪𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐰: After 3 months with Curology (with simplified skin care routine and adapalene) almost all of my cystic acnes were gone. Something I had thought months ago never would be possible. In April, I started my Triluma journey (tretinoin 0.5% + hydroquinone +mild steroid) to treat the hyperpigmentations left behind. I finished my tube last May and from then on used another brand of tretinoin (0.5%) for maintenance and to treat PIH. 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: All I gotta say is that Curology is a great service, for most people. Unfortunately there are some of us for whom the base and/or certain ingredients simply won't work, and I believe that's no fault of Curology. I thoroughly recommend Curology. It’s a great option to get our hands on prescription strength products, like Tretinoin cream, without paying for an expensive private consultation.
It’s gotten worse :( help!!! Whiteheads with red inflammation. I initially used salicylic acid spot treatment and then benzoyl peroxide spot treatment :( it’s just gotten worse. Hi everyone! Looking for help for my skin. It’s so unpredictable, I randomly get little red white heads that really stand out on my pale skin. I also naturally have very dark under eye circles. Here is my current skin regimen: Murad cleanser Pixi Beauty Glycolic Acid Toner DE B-Hydra + Protini Dr Sobel Vitamin C Elta MD sunscreen At night Murad cleanser Pixi Beauty Glycolic Acid Toner DE B-Hydra + Protini I also don’t know if I’m using products in the right order. I just got Niacinamide from the Ordinary as well as retinal 0.5% with Squalene but haven’t used since I’m not sure how to incorporate and don’t want to breakout from using too many things. Help!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ spot treatment! changed my skin!
First of all thank you to@SunshineSandsfor recommending this amazing cream! At first, I haven’t heard of Centella Asiatica but after reading it to it, I decided to purchase COSRX - Centella Blemish Cream from Amazon ($18). This cream is a game changer, seriously. I have really bad cystic acne and redness/scarring. Nothing seemed to be working on those painful under the skin pimples until I found this! Centella is helpful for redness, calming irritation, and assisting skin regeneration + is a natural herbal ingredient. I use it as a spot treatment on top of my aloe moisturizer after washing my face at night. The cream is pretty thick, so I use a qtip and dab it on the spots and it kind of sits on top of it and stays white then eventually dries. One thing is it does get on my pillow but no worries there. The next morning, my under the skin pimples shrunk literally 2x the size - I’ve NEVERRR had a product do this before. Or, it’ll bring super deep pimples to a white head which is also a miracle. Overall 10/10 I highly recommend this as a spot treatment for deep cystic acne. If anyone else uses Centella products, please recommend! 💚

Curology is the HG of HGs
Let me go ahead & join the chorus of folx singing Curology’s praises because LOOK AT THIS!!! Scroll to see my before, there is 1.5 months in between these photos & it may not look like much to y’all but i have never ever had a face with 0 breakouts at any given time. Right now i have no active breakouts & I haven’t had one pop up at all for a lil over a month (knock on wood). My adjustment to the formula was actually pretty easy, I had a bit of purging on my forehead for about a week but nothing major which is another win! Curology - Curology formula My current prescription: Tretinoin 0.009% Clindamycin 1% Azelaic Acid 9% Now I’m looking for recs for a vitamin C serum that can help with my scarring & balance out my skin tone! If you got some good ideas lmk 🥰 #CherieCreator #Curology
Tips Tricks Treatments For Acne Prone Skin
Acnes are formed due to hormonal changes, maturity, and dietary mishaps too. These result in excess production of sebum, clogged pores, and formation of bacteria underneath the skin layer causing infection. With the right tips and treatments they can be moderated, slowed down, and eventually get rid of completely. One should know which type of acne it is, if it even is acne or any other skin condition, and how to skillfully treat them either at home or with the help of skin experts.
Beauty Starts from Within
Beauty does indeed start from within. Good gut health is essential for beautiful skin. Currently dealing and treating mild hormonal acne where I'll always have like one or three big painful zits on my chin or jawline area. While this is no treatment--if you will--for hormonal acne, because it is is essentially caused by testosterone, it still is a treatment for clearer, radiant and better skin. Eating those greens will not only be good your gut and body health, BUT it is a known fact that greens are also amazing for the skin. Which is why Asian women have amazing skin because of all the green tea, among other drinks, they consume. Sometimes drinking coffee, green tea, and matcha can be too much sometimes. Which is why I will take these in place of matcha. These pills contain green algae, detox herbs, Matcha Green Tea Powder among other ingredients which are all known to cause beautiful skin. 💚 It also contains helpful elements if you will , such as Zinc which is also known in clearing away acne hyperpigmentation marks. I've been taking two daily for about a week now and I have definitely noticed much more beautiful glowy skin and my acne marks have faded faster than usual. I also take turmeric pills which, again, will clear acne hyperpigmentation marks. Highly recommend taking these HUM - Daily Cleanse Detox Supplement Get your green on with these pills 💚💚💚
