My clay mask awards 🏆✨

Who doesn’t enjoy a clay mask every now and then? I know I do but I’m very picky with the clay masks I like! Today I want to share with you two masks I really love and one that is just ok. Some of these were gifted but opinions are all my own 😌 Let’s start with the third place: 🥉 The ohii - 2-1 Clay Cream Cleanser
is a 2-in-1 clay cleanser that can also double as a mask. I really like the idea but I don’t think this translated well, for both a cleanser and a mask this is too drying! Even for my combination skin. Maybe it’d work for oily skin types but for anything from normal to combo I think this is a no no. It left my skin feeling clean but stripped which I just can’t tolerate. 🥈 The RED EARTH - Pink Coconut Cleansing Clay Mask
is taking home silver! I’m a big fan of Red Earth products. This Australian brand is innovative, accessible and most products are under $25! This mask is just amazing to smooth skin texture and it isn’t too drying or uncomfortable. This is kaolin clay based mask with honey, aloe and rose extracts. It’s also formulated with pomegranate extracts to help fight free radicals. 🥇 Now for the gold, cocokind - Sea kale Clay mask
this is a newer product for me and it is just amazing! Everything I’ve tried from Cocokind has been just great for my skin. This is a super creamy clay mask. I can leave it on for 10+ minutes and it never feels crackly or tight. It helps reducing the appearance of pores and softening the skin. Being an aloe based face mask it’s hydrating, while blue sea kale extract helps with collagen synthesis and glacial oceanic clay helps with sebum production. A true winner that is only $18 for 2 fl oz!! 👏🏼

Cocokind favorites!
I thought today would be a good day to talk about these goodies from Cocokind, since they are sold at Whole Foods, and yesterday I started my first day as an Amazon shopper at Whole Foods (hence my no post)! If you’re a student with a Whole Foods near you looking for a part time job, they are super flexible with their hours and it’s a really easy job! ⁣ ⁣ Anyways, now onto these Cocokind products! I’ve written full reviews on these before on my page, but here’s some quick updates! The cocokind - Sea kale Clay mask seriously impressed me! I hadn’t used a clay mask for a while when I tried this, and I was really happy with how clean and clear it left my skin feeling! And the cocokind - Glow Essence is another fav, and really does give such a healthy glow! I’m very excited to keep using this as it gets colder, because it’s also really hydrating! ⁣ ⁣ Hope you all have a great day! 💕

Cocokind Sea Kale Clay Mask
Hey guys! So the Sea Kale Clay mask is such a great mask! You get two in one, a creamy clay mask and a gentle exfoliatior. I been using this mask for the past two weeks. It has become such a favorite so I will be repurchasing soon. This clay mask doesn’t strip your face at all. It’s very creamy so it dries very nicely without the tight feeling. Once you wash it off it will leave your skin feeling so smooth and moist. This mask helps reduce excess oil and appearance of pores. It also helps with texture & restoring a youthful glow on the skin. Product Ingredients: Blue sea kale extract Cucumber seed powder Glacial oceanic clay cocokind - Sea kale Clay mask

Low key mask to wear all day!
Low key mask to wear all day!
The LATHER - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract is the perfect mask for lounging around the house all day. It’s a moisture mask and is pretty much just a super thick moisturizer so no one will be able to tell that you have a mask on (probably my favorite). It smells like almond milk and honey which is super yummy and does an amazing job moisturizing. While I think any skin type could benefit from this, it is definitely most suited to dry skin types because it’s very thick. I think oily skin types may not love how this feels on their skin. Definitey a good mask for anyone who suffers from sensitive skin or irritation often as it proved to be pretty nourishing as well. I feel like the tub it comes in is HUGE. Like bigger than any mask I have ever used, and I use so little of it each time to cover my face that I feel like it will last forever. I’m not quite sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing because I don’t know if I will finish it all before it expires. I do have one thing that I don’t love and that’s the thickness of it. It does not like my skin in the summer or the humidity. I feel like sweat started beading up all over my face when I stepped outside with this on. It was fairly unpleasant. Also related to the texture, I have a feeling this may cause breakouts for those that are acne prone or suffer from clogged pores often. So overall, good for super dry skin, winter weather, or people who live in super arid climates (no humidity). The cost is $27 for 4oz so it isn’t really expensive which I like, but I do feel like a 3 oz size for a little cheaper would probably have been the best option. Regardless, I will definitely continue to repurchase as I like it and find it works for my dry skin especially in the winter.

Who doesn’t love a good mask?

Pictured here is the Versed Find Clarity Purifying Mask! This item is a light grayish clay mask that comes in a little squeeze bag, opposed to a pot/tub. I personally prefer this packaging, as I’m not a huge fan of sticking my fingers into pots/tubs, especially if it’s skincare related. In addition, it’s also a relatively smooth texture, with no granules. In this bag, there’s approximately 12+ uses of the mask and it was relatively inexpensive. This mask is composed of white charcoal and clay. I use this mask on my entire face, preferably at nighttime. This really helps to cleanse my pores. I love using this when my skin just feels “dirtier” than usual. I’ve used this a few times and haven’t had any noticeable irritations. Which is great, especially since I have sensitive skin. Simply, I just apply the mask, leave it on for about 10-15 minutes, rinse it off, and finish up with the rest of my skincare steps. I would actually recommend this mask, for anyone looking for a good, inexpensive clay mask. This product can be found at Target, as that’s where I was able to find this brand.

Innisfree Pore Clay mask - K beauty
Innisfree Pore Clay mask - K beauty
🧖🏼‍♀️Product Function - Mask for refining pores and removing sebum. Product Target Concerns - This is a K-Beauty mask that should help people with oily skin, to make the skin less oily. Anyone who’s got an lily t-zone can use this. Texture/Consistency - It really looks like Mud and it’s so creamy. Its thick and applies nice and smooth on the skin. ✨My Opinion - This mask is to die for. It has the same effect as GlamGlow Supermud and its much cheaper! Very effective on acne and oily tzone. Easy to apply and remove and makes my skin feel fresh and squeaky clean. I love trying Korean cosmetics and this one is my holy grail. Would i recommend? Absolutely yes! For me it’s amazing and i use it everytime i think my skin can use something to make it less oily. Is it worth it? The price is not very high, especially when i compare it to the one from GlamGlow, it had the same effect but much cheaper, so i think it’s definitely worth it !

Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque
Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque
Key Ingredients: Amazonian White Clay (to absorb oil while drawing out toxins and dirt that can clog pores), Oatmeal and Aloe Vera (to soothe and calm the skin). . Scent: Earthy/Clay . Consistency/Texture: Typical Clay Mask / Creamy . Price: $20 for 0.95 oz OR $36 for 5.1 oz . Experience: I didn’t notice anything spectacular after using this mask. It was just like any other clay mask to me. I didn’t notice it helped my oiliness, breakouts or pores that much, if at all. My skin felt fresh and free after removing the mask, but typically any clay mask can do that. It didn’t dry out my skin, which was nice. The directions saw to allow the mask to dry before you remove it. It is not good to let clay masks dry on the skin and remove them like that, it causes you to be more aggressive with wiping and removing the mask. It is best to remove clay masks while they are still a little damp so that it’s easier to remove and not stripping all the moisture from your skin. . Repurchase/Recommend: No, it didn’t do anything for my skin and don’t like to splurge this much on face masks since they aren’t on the face long. It has great reviews on Ulta though, so it might just be me!

Very affordable k-beauty: innisfree clay mask
Very affordable k-beauty: innisfree clay mask
I’ve rated this product quite highly: 4/5. It’s an excellent budget option for getting into the k-beauty game. It clears out your pores, and leaves skin feeling soft as a peach afterwards. Admittedly, I did have some breakouts around my forehead when I began using the product (twice weekly), however, once my skin adjusted (and I’m guessing, once my pores were super clean), all I was left with was reduced pores sizes and soft skin that makeup simply glided onto! Clay masks can be expensive, and sometimes require putting the time and effort into seeing results. Apart from the expense, because this is super affordable, this product is no different. Its price point makes the time needed worth it however! You can use and use without feeling the need to use it sparingly. For the record, I have a sensitive and dry/oily combination skin. innisfree - Super Volcanic Clusters Pore Clearing Clay Mask
