Trying THE TikTok viral foundation hack ✨
Today on this segment of testing out TikTok beauty hacks I present to you: The foundation application method that has everyone amazed. Originally posted by TikTok user @/ridaaaamat (I used her audio for this tutorial), she explains that she recently discovered this trick and your makeup is going to look amazing and stay on 24/7. I personally don’t know who wears their makeup for a full day but you do you, bb. Now on to my thoughts, I noticed my makeup went on a bit more matte than I usually prefer but it still looked pretty good to me and not caked on at all. It wasn’t hard at all to do because I’m already following all these steps when doing my usual face base routine, you just alter the order of application et voilà, a beautiful canvas ready for the rest of your makeup products. I never wear my makeup longer than a few hours tbh so I can’t attest to the longevity of it but I’m guessing it would stay put throughout the day without issue. Have you tried this foundation hack? Did it work for you? Here are the products I used ✨ Moisturizer: cocokind - Texture smoothing cream

Skin tint comparison 🧐
Hey guys! I thought I'd do a post comparing all of the lightweight foundations I own (@dewybabyrequested and it was a great idea 😊) - these are my skin tints, lightweight foundations, and my tinted moisturizer. laura mercier - Tinted Moisturizer Natural Skin Perfector Broad Spectrum SPF30 in 1C0 cameo - it's coverage is very light but it's pretty hydrating and wears well. It's also buildable and I like to mix it with other foundations that need a base - I've used this product as my primer/base and it's nice. It's $47 at Sephora DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation in 1 CR - I know it's a medium foundation, but because it's thinner than most foundations / pump ones, I thought it should be included plus it's a squeeze bottle as well, like skin tints. It's $40 at Sephora COVERGIRL - Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation in shade 510 - in my opinion, it's not horrible, but I also don't love it. I feel like I need to use a lot and the coverage isn't that good - it's more of a light coverage, plus I give it 3/5 stars because it's kind of difficult to build up coverage. It's $10 at Target Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint in shades G10, 11, & 12 - these are pretty great for that "no makeup makeup look"; they're easy to apply, and are bery buildable. My only reason for the 4/5 stars is that they don't have shades for undertones and their range needs to be extended from 12 shades to at least 18 or 20 (like 24 would probably be good). It's $26 at Glossier by itself & is in quite a few sets as well
Current faves! ❤️
Here's my current faves for January that are makeup and skincare products: GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover - I'm so surprised at how well makeup comes off using this! It's amazing and I didn't have an allergic reaction to it (typically makeup removers cause me to break out or make my face red, hot and blotchy) L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara in 201 black - I've been loving this mascara lately because it doesn't clump like crazy, it lengthens my lashes really well, and is so inexpensive!! HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Duo - I've used the original ones twice on some pretty big pimples and just a few hours later they were ready to pop! Also, I wore them during the day and tbh they aren't really that noticeable, maybe it's because of my skin tone & how the color of the patches is similar. They also stay on pretty well and really do the trick. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom in fig - I absolutely love this flavor and it's definitely the one I reach for the most. I've heard mixed reviews about it, and as someone who hasn't even tried a fig, I now want to try one. (the flavor probably isn't the exact same but that's ok) MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect in 102 tantric - this is my favorite bronzer ever and it's such a great value, because you get so much product. It's buildable, smooth, and smells so good!! NOTE: if you tap this item, it'll say that it's $65, which it's not! It's on sale for $34 at Sephora ($49 originally) DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation in 1 cool rosy - I love this foundation and I've been reaching for it lately because of how smooth and buildable it is. ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundation in 3.75 - great coverage, super smooth, and really easy to blend out. One thing I do find when I use this foundation is that I need 2 pumps in order to get it to cover my whole face. It's not something super concerning, but I find some foundations go farther and I don't mind using 2 pumps tbh.

💚Milk Hydro Primer💚
Milk Hydro Primer Sephora, Milk Skin type: normal, dry and oily ° This primer from Milk had hydration makeup gripping gel that is formulated with Hemp-Derived Cannabis Seed to Hydrates and smooths the look of skin while providing antioxidant benefits. Blue Agave Extract to help Grips makeup, visibly smooths texture, and hydrates. Aloe Water and Hyaluronic Acid to Hydrate, soothe, and calm skin My thoughts on this primer is does keep my skin hydrated but when applying this primer you have to right away your foundation because your skin stiff and difficult to apply your foundation. Milk hydro grip primer🔥!
I have been using the Milk hydro primer in my makeup routine for a couple weeks now, and I wouldn’t go back! At first the price made me a little iffy as $30 for a primer is high for me. But I’m so glad I did it! I have very dry skin, and a little goes a very long way. It feels cooling on my face, and leaves my face feeling plump. My foundation goes on smoothly with this primer, it grips my makeup and makes it stay throughout the day! Although bc of my dry skin I do moisturize before, and then apply facial oil and let it sit for about 2 minutes, then I go in with the primer and let that sit for about 2-3 minutes as well before I apply any makeup. HELP: STARTING A NEW ROUTINE?! 🤪
Hey all!! I’m newer to the skin scare space and looking for AM/PM routine suggestions. My skin is normal/combo and recently I’ve been having frequent dehydration which may be due to extra exercise in my daily routine. I’m looking for products to keep my skin CLEAN, HYDRATED, PROTECTED, PLUMP and GLOWY. I do have acne scars on my forehead, sides of my face, and chin. My most acne prone area is around my chin and it has been like this for the past few months- breakouts in that area every other day. I’ve been looking into the following products to help my skin: Cleanser: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser Possible along with the CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinfor my acne problem area hydration: PAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster Or The Ordinary - Marine Hyaluronics Or DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum For hydration Evening skin tone: PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Boosterfor evening skin tone For additional serums/essences to make the skin appear more glowy/youthful I was thinking of trying: Krave - Great Barrier Relief Or TATCHA - Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Serum Exfoliation: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Moisturizer: Open to suggestions. Heard good things about CeraVe and Youth to the People The products I’m using now are Okay but I would like to step it up and have clear glowy skin without needing to use makeup :) I appreciate any suggestions/tips from more experienced skin care lovers 💖💖
I have combination to dry skin so hydration is really the most important thing in my skincare routine. After years of testing different products, I finally found that these products from TATCHA really work best for me. 💦💦 TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener- It is absorbed quickly and leaves skin feeling/looking smooth and hydrated all day. TATCHA - Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Serum- The texture is a half translucent fluid gel. When it's applied to the face, the dry spots on the sides of the nose feel a little prickly. After it's absorbed, my skin feels supple and plump. TATCHA - The Water Cream- Don't just assume all dewy creams are refreshing. I was originally using the La Mer's moisturizing gel cream, but after washing my face in the morning, my skin felt slippery and greasy as if the cream had just stayed on top of my skin. Whereas, when I got up and washed my face the next day after using Tatcha (the third step), my face felt fresh and without any residue!

Want smooth skin!?
This duo will give you seriously smooth skin 🌱🤍 Here’s my flash review of this duo! Texture Smoothing Cream cocokind - Texture smoothing cream - I’m really enjoying this moisturizer. This does wonders for my skin...I’ve had these like texturey patches on both my cheeks for like three months and with consistent use of this in the last few weeks, I’ve noticed a huge difference in them. The patches are getting way smaller and they arent irritated anymore. The texture is so great, it’s lightweight which is perfect for me (i hate really thick creams + moisturizer) ..i do get a little filmy feeling after i apply this but it doesnt last long. I also am not the biggest fan of the smell of this but it isn’t strong at all and doesn’t linger! Pore Refining Concentratecocokind - Pore Refining Concentrate - I like this but I haven’t really noticed much of a difference. I do like the texture but honestly it’s a little hard to get the product out because of the rollerball..but i looove the rollerball and the cool feeling it gives when u use it! I do think that I need to use this product more in order to give a legitimate review!! I definitely need more time to try out the concentrate but I know Products that are similar normally do take a little while to really see a difference with!
CocoKind Skincare Routine
Cocokind has easily become one of my favorite skincare brands! It’s such a cute brand and I love how committed they are to being environmentally conscious and accessible to all! My favorite products so far have been the texture smoothing cream + the pore refining concentrate! Setting Powder + Dry Skin
Laura Mercier I heard alot of hype about this setting powder from Laura Mercier and wanted see to try if it worth the hype. When using this powder I first by doing my eyebrows first for my makeup routine. Next I put concealer around my eyebrows to have a cleaner look. Then I wait for the concealer to dry a little bit, then I put setting powder with using a blending brush so it's easily spread all over my eyelid and brow. I love doing this method because it makes a perfect canvas for my eyelid to add eyeshadow. After applying the eyeshadows and eyeliner, next put foundation and concealer or anything else that is wet I wait for it to dry. Then I use a big puffy brush and add the same powder all over my face not too much because it will cause dryness. Then after applying I will use the same brush but to wipe a little bit off my face like I said it does cause drying. Overall I like using it in a day I have for occasion that I want to look snatched but for me myself an everyday use I don't use too much of this product. Don't forget to like and follow for more😘😘😘 And also follow my Instagram Page at @sweet_citrustea
Here are the products I will definitely be using to glow for Postalservice10014 ✨ after all the shopping i did in Korea, I was going to do a no-buy but broke it by buying this Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow and the Makeupforever brush. I love using this brush for this palette for an all-over contoured glow look with subtle highlights. I seriously don't know how I lived before this! The best primer/skin perfector is Dior's DreamSkin - this really promises that instant perfection before you apply your makeup and coupled this with the Wonder Glow, I promise you will be glowing like no other.

Kosas Tinted Face Oil First Impressions
Ok so this is my third time using this tinted face oil and I’m going to use it everyday this week and get back to you all with my final thoughts on Friday, but so far so good! I have combination skin and live in a humid climate, so I definitely need to set this to avoid it settling into my fine forehead lines and bunching around my dry spots but when I do set it it looks flawless for 6-7 hours which for me is perfect because I pretty much only wear makeup when I need to nowawadays and take it off as soon as I can. Today I used it with the REN clean skin primer and set it with the BECCA hydro mist powder, but I also love it with my Laura Mercier translucent powder. It leaves my skin looking naturally enhanced and doesn’t feel oily like I would expect. I’ve never tried a product like this before and I was skeptical with how the blend of oils would work with my combination skin but so far, so good! It retails for $42 and comes in 16 shades. I toggle between shades 2 and 3 for reference! As I said, a more in depth review will be up Friday once I’ve thoroughly tested this product through all of the weather changes this week and various activities I’ll be doing, so stay tuned! Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation

kiko Sicilian Notes Brightening Primer PRODUCT INFO: Highlighting antioxidant face serum for radiant, resplendent skin. The lightweight formula of this serum is rapidly absorbed and blends into the skin to give it a lift. Ideal for camouflaging blemishes and improving the hold of your makeup. It’s special because: 💛 its formula is enriched with chestnut extract and hyaluronic acid; 💛 it has a completely innovative dual-phase texture, composed of a gel base and a highlighting pearl cream, which mix together when applied; 💛 it is fresh and ultra-fine, comfortable on the skin for a long time and pleasantly scented with citrus notes. Dermatologically tested Non-comedogenic MY THOUGHTS: Isn’t this a cool looking primer? I enjoy the light citrus scent of this product. It doesn’t linger for those that are scent sensitive. I also love a dual purpose product like this. It’s a primer and serum. It leaves my skin glowing from within and my makeup went on and help up well over it. A little goes a long way so for $22, you will get more than your money’s worth with this.
KIKO-Sicilian Notes Brightening Primer
I have been absolutely obsessed with the oribe nourishing oil! It disappears almost instantly and is so lightweight. I’m currently also testing the guerlain l’essential foundation and let me tell you.. it’s expensive but man am I impressed so far. Thankfully I found a near perfect shade match (shocker!) in 35N and I’ll have more thoughts on it for you as I test it with different primers! Last but not least I am really loving the new shiseido synchro skin concealer, it’s full coverage yet blendable and moves with your skin! Very impressed, but not surprised bc Japanese beauty brands usually really know their stuff! 😍👏🏽

🧖♀️ How to Save Time: Hybrid Skincare Makeup
There are many days when I wake up and feel how much I want to shorten my make up and skincare routine so I can snooze for another 5-10 mins. One of the easiest ways to do that is to use hybrid skincare-make up products. Here are some of my suggestions below: NARS - Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 This tinted moisturizer kills 2 birds with 1 stone. Amazing light coverage and SPF 30! It’s great to even out skin tone and protect the skin. Bonus: it’s non-comedogenic perfect for combination/oily/dry skin types. It’s very thin so it needs to be shaken before application but when you apply it, it feels like second skin. HOURGLASS - Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15 Mentioned this in another review before. Great primer and non-comedogenic with SPF 15. A great underlying base and some sun protection to add on before your tinted moisturizer. laura mercier - Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 This is an oldie but goodie product that’s also non-comedogenic because it’s oil free. It’s only SPF 20, for $46.00 for a 1.7 oz. whereas, NARS tinted moisturizer is SPF 30, costs $45.00 for 1.9 oz. I find the laura mercier tinted moisturizer to have too thick a base. Because of that it’s more difficult to wear on humid days. They also make a different version that I haven’t tried because it’s not oil free. laura mercier - Tinted Moisturizer Natural Skin Perfector Broad Spectrum SPF30 it Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer is a wonderful hybrid concealer. It has anti-aging properties that fight under eye wrinkles due to yum ingredients like peptides, vitamins, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and collagen. Perricone MD - No Makeup Blush The packaging is small and is $35 for a lil’ bottle but a little goes a long way. It’s vegan, cruelty free and even gluten free. Some ingredients that make it a hybrid is that it has vitamin c ester and ginger extract. If you’re using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% do not use them together. Sadly the No Makeup Blush contains mineral oil and this isn’t good for oily types since it can cause your pores to become blocked. I returned it. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Organic Wear Sculpting Bronzer it’s a matte bronzer that’s buildable and only $6.99 on Amazon. It only comes in 2 shades but they both work for my light/medium golden undertones. They look and feel more like contour sticks though. The drugstore powerhouse brand loaded the product with antioxidants and contains: jojoba oil, indian senna seed, and aloe vera. Just warm with your hands to apply and blend with fingertips. Hope this helps you save time, catch more z’s and free up your busy day. Enjoy 🧖♀️
