This 77.78% rice toner is an elixir for dry skin

HONEST FEMME FINDS:
[I’m From] is quickly becoming a favorite brand of mine and is a true ally to the dry/dull/combo skin fam. I’m picky about my toners- I feel that toners are not a true skincare necessity and if I’m spending money to use one, it better be great! Many toners on the market are either too drying or hydrating but too sticky for me personally. I’m thinking of doing a post comparing my top toners but for now, here are my thoughts on this baby 🍼.

This toner has received an enormous amount of love.... unfortunately I have to give this three stars.
As you can see I’m almost done with this product and after routine use, I can’t say that I noticed any change in my skin. There were no bad effects (hence the 3 stars) but there also weren’t any good ones —- at least any that I could notice. IMO toners don’t really do anything for me!
I won’t repurchase and from my experience, I feel like toners are more of a marketing tactic to have people buy more products. Maybe one day I’ll find a toner that is 🤯🤯🤯
Has anyone had the same experience?

MY 2X WEEK NIGHT ROUTINE (MONDAYS & FRIDAYS)
1. BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water *I use it every night for double cleansing
2. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser
3. I'm from - Rice Toner
4. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator It’s gently for my extremely dry skin, it absorbs quickly, it texture it’s like water, and doesn’t have a smell or color. **I only use it on my nose & chin and if I have a pimple on it too**
5. íUNIK - Black Snail Restore Serum Love this serum, it’s hydrating, if you keep it on a cold place when you use it it feels soo good on your skin.
6. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Cicaplast Baume B5 for Dry Skin Irritations Since I’m using a BHA I use it to keep a better hydration, and moisturizing skin. And if I have any irritation in other parts of my face I use it there too

GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner
PRODUCT
This is a niacinamide-based toner that targets uneven skin tone, dullness, and visible pores while strengthening your skin’s barrier function. The inclusion of licorice root extract soothes inflammation and inhibits excess melanin production. Making this the perfect toner for anyone with dry and/or dehydrated skin. It has a very liquid texture that is slightly more viscous than water – see second photo for reference.
EXPERIENCE
This toner is great for daily use, especially when the skin is feeling dry or dehydrated. My skin often gets dehydrated from sun exposure, or even testing 1,000 different products at a time, so I often take a step back and cut all the unnecessary junk out of my routine and just give my skin what it needs. It is often hard to find a toner that fits into this routine because most are packed with alcohol and are therefore very drying. This one is different. Due to the exclusion of alcohol in the ingredients list, it is suitable for daily use, and works wonderfully for those times when your skin feels dry or dehydrated. I find that on my skin, it not only brightens and helps with the texture of my skin, but it is also slightly hydrating – a huge shift from other toners in my collection. This was kindly gifted to me by the brand, but I have been using it for about 3 months. I have recommended this to my friends and followers, and at $14 for 4 oz., this product is a steal! I rate it 5/5 stars!

Not Worth the Hype: K-Beauty Edition
I don’t really “get” the hype around K-Beauty in general, to be honest- the emphasis on hydration is wonderful for drier skin tones but leaves a bit to be desired for my sensitive combo skin since the actives often aren’t as concentrated as in brands like Paula’s Choice. Finding K-Beauty products without fragrance, alcohol, and/or essential oils is surprisingly difficult, so when I had the opportunity to try out LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer through Octoly, I jumped on it. I’ve seen this toner raved about on Instagram by tons of skincare influencers so I was excited to utilize it on nights I use tretinoin, to prevent dryness. I was mainly excited because I had seen it mentioned by @citizenglow on Insta and she has never failed me. But this was... unremarkable.
$33 USD gets you a sturdy bottle filled with 150mL (5 fl oz) of toner that claims to moisturize as effectively as a cream. It is a milky white liquid with the thinness of water, with no identifiable scent and a somewhat sticky finish. I legitimately couldn’t and can’t tell a difference when I use this and when I forget to apply it. I used it consistently for two weeks but saw no long-term or short-term results so I just use it here and there on nights I remember to. It’s not a bad toner, it’s just pointless in my opinion and not worth the money despite the large amount of product you get. It also isn’t cruelty-free, which is a bummer. This was definitely a “miss” for me in the Insta Hype Product category.

A J-Beauty treasure
About the product: The HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion contains five types of hyaluronic acid plus urea to lock in moisture and keep skin hydrated longer. It also has a skin pH-balanced formulation contains no fragrances, mineral oils, alcohols and artificial/added coloring. The bottle is a hard plastic.
How to use: After cleansing, rub lotion between palms then pat into your face. It can be used morning and night.
Best for dry, dehydrated skin.
I first tried this product during the week I went to visit be family during the holidays. I went into my sister’s bathroom every day for my trip’s duration to use it. i definitely noticed a difference in my skin. When I got home and knew I had to get it. I have waxed on about my oily skin in plenty of videos and since my skin overproduces oily because it is dehydrated this helps. My skin drinks it up. It doesn’t pill when I do the rest of my skin care so that is a major plus. There are similar other products from this brand that target different concerns.
Recommend? Yes!!!!
Specs: 5 oz./170 mL for $14.40 on Amazon.
Note: Since this product is a J-Beauty brand, the instructions on the bottle are in Japanese.

Klair’s Supple Preparation Toner for Dry Skin
This toner is non-irritating and is the most hydrating toner I’ve tried. It balances and maintains the skin’s pH to optimize the absorption of all your other skin products that you apply in your skincare regime. It’s clear and has a really slippery consistency that gives a glowy effect to the face. I never really used toners before this but I feel like it really does tone the skin.
I’ve used this toner for a year and a half and here are my thoughts:
My Experience
I decided to try this because I’ve never used a toner before and thought it might make a difference to my skin. I actually really like this product as it’s moisturizing and feels amazing when I put it on. I think it does a good job of prepping the skin too as I hate putting serums and stuff on my face when it’s dry. I feel like they don't soak in well enough but this makes a huge difference.
Overall Thoughts
I love this toner and feel like it’d be great for those with any skin type but specific those with dry skin looking for something to give an extra boost of hydration. It’s priced at $22, which is about midway as a price for a toner but the lack of alcohol and good ingredients makes it worth it.

Super moisturizing toner/lotion
I LOVE the hado labo Gokujyun premium lotion. In Japan, they use lotions as toners because they don’t have alcohol and are more moisturizing. I’ve used the popular Gokujyun white bottle before and liked it. The premium bottle is so much better though! I put it on after cleansing and before putting a serum. It starts my face with a light moisturizing base. It’s also super affordable! Highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a little extra hydration!HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion

A toner to LOVE
I’m sure you’ve heard of the Klairs Supple Preparation Toner! And if you haven’t, are you living under a rock??! This is a cult FAVORITE with a dedicated following; and for good reason! This toner is so amazing! It is slightly viscous, but not super watery. It has a really lovely herbal/light fresh scent. I’ve gone through one bottle already, and I know I will continue to buy more. This is THE MOST moisturizing toner I’ve ever used! They make an unscented version now as well, but the scented version doesn’t bother me, so I’ll stick with this one. If you have dry skin I would 100% recommend this toner! You can usually find a great deal on this toner. I think I picked my bottle up for $15 on sale!!! Pick this toner up!!! dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial Toner
