Oils For Acne !?
Many may run at the idea of using an oil on acne prone skin BUT what if I told you that using oils for acne can be very helpful for your acne. Are you curious? Or are you already running for the door 😂? Let’s talk about it . . . Why Would You Use Oil On Acne 🥴 First it depends on what types of oil(s) you are using and we will get into that as we go. Many oils have great antibacterial , soothing and healing prosperities which is great for acne. These beneficial oils will help reduce breakouts and heal them leading to less scarring. So What Types Of Oils Do You Use 🤷🏼♀️ There are about 7 oils I know from my experience that have helped me with my acne. These oils are natural and unrefined ( including essential oils) I do suggest staying away from mineral oils and petroleum jelly. Those do nothing but sit on top of the skin, can clog pores and have no nutritional value for the skin. Using natural oils penetrate the the skin and have more beneficial properties. Here are some oils I recommend & Why they are beneficial for acne 🌺Almond Oil Helps dissolve excessive oil, Improves cell turnover, hypoallergenic 🌸Coconut Oil Antibacterial, Reduces scarring 🌹Tea Tree Oil Anti inflammatory, Antimicrobial, reduces swelling and redness 🌼Lavender Oil Antibacterial, healing, unclogs pores, anti inflammatory 🌻Vitamin E Oil ( my personal fav ! Place this on a breakout and see how fast it heals !) Anti inflammatory, antioxidant, healing 💐Jojoba Oil Healing,Antimicrobial,Anti Inflammatory 🌷Castor Oil ( another one of my faves! But it’s thick thick so don’t use too much) Antibacterial,Antimicrobial, helps with skin texture What do all of these oils have in common ? Comment below ☺️ It’s important to use antibacterial ingredients when dealing with acne to get rid of bacteria from skin which causes breakouts. Paired with that you want to also use healing ingredients to reduce scarring from breakouts. There are many oils I recommend doing your research How Do I Use Oils In My Regimen 🧏🏼♀️ It can be as simple or as fancy as you want, a simple method will be taking a little bit of oil onto fingers and massaging it directly into skin. The fancy way is mixing oils like a few drops of tea tree oil into some coconut oil and applying to skin. Everyones experience with using oils is different some or none may work for you. Oils should be applied at night over moisturizer and cleansed off in the morning. This will allow your skin to absorb the benefits of the oil. I do this and notice a major improvement in my breakout in the morning. I do not suggest wearing oil during the day because you are more active , and if you wear makeup this can cause you to produce more oil. And trust me oil on top of oil + More breakouts is not a look ! Depending on your skin you can use oils nightly 1 to 3 times out the week. It’s important to pay attention to how your skin is reacting. #cheriecreator Any questions ? Ask In commments ❤️

Almond oil for skin
May 24, 2020
tcairnsBeware of using coconut oil on your face!! It is a known irritant, especially if you have oily and/or acne-prone skin. It will only clog your pores and make things worse. I used it last summer as a moisturizer and my skin looked great at first, but got increasingly worse the longer I used it.

My Current Skincare Routine!
Howdy everybody! I’m Carl, and this is my current skincare routine. Some of these products I’ve bought myself, others are gifts (like the SkinActive Soothing Kit by Garnier). Some products are kinda old, like the Neutrogena - Alcohol Free Toner . Only so much of it is left, and though I liked it and it worked well I’m going to be using the HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Tonersoon! My newest product is the ACURE - Brightening Super Greens Serum which I adore right now! I’m hoping to use the GLOBAL BEAUTY CARE - Cucumber Hydrogel Face Masksome time soon. All in all these products have been very helpful and I recommend them (especially the GARNIER - SkinActive Soothing 3-in-1 Face Moisturizer with Rose Water ) to any of you who have dry skin and need that extra moisture every day! Hopefully by the end of quarantine (whenever that is) my skin will be amazing! 🥰
SIMPLE PM ROUTINE FOR LONG & FRIZZY HAIR
SWIPE LEFT TO SEE END RESULT🚨 SOOOOOO before I go to sleep, EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, I have to braid my hair. Over the years (four to be exact), I’ve just become accustomed to braiding it because it’s the easiest way to manage my hair texture. (I have flat hair, but it’s not bone straight if ya know what i mean.) So along with the refusal of damaging my hair with heat, I settled for braiding. It’s been forever since i used a straightener.... I love being simplistic. Hehe . So heres a 3-step routine for nightly hair care to keep hair untangled and frizz-free. I also chose NOW Sweet Almond Oil ( promotes softer texture/lightweight) because I just love natural/simple products. I love using holistic remedies as my #1. I did add in some Rose Geranium. Although essential oils aren’t considered holistic, they are still natural and extremely beneficial (promotes hair growth& natural perfume) Step 1: After washing hair , let hair air dry and comb it out with a wide tooth comb (don’t completely dry , leave damp) Step 2: After detangling , apply a generous amount of oil starting from the tips of hair, making your way up. Being mindful not to add to much oil Step 3: Detangle one more time, now braid WHAT’S YOUR HAIR ROUTINE/WHAT OIL DO YOU USE?
Feed your hair and scalp
Gone are the days of Luster’s Pink Lotion. I will rejoice and be glad in it. I have natural, 4C hair and there was a time when I could only get hair products from the beauty supply store. That has thankfully changed — even if most department stores like to categorize the products I need as “ethnic hair products.” (But that’s is a discussion for another day.) I also have a dry scalp if I don’t oil it. Most of the products I purchased from Sephora, T.J. Maxx, Sephora, BirchBox and my local department stores. And since I have 4C hair, my hair tends to be on the dry side. This is because the oil from my scalp has more of a hurdle to get over because of the coils unlike the easily shot straight hair provides. I find it best to treat the scalp and hair like two different entities. I use the scalp massager (not the Sephora brand one. I am pretty sure I got it from Amazon) to work in my PAUL MITCHELL - Tea Tree Special Shampoo and PAUL MITCHELL - Tea Tree Special Conditioner while in the shower. The tingling is amazing, but DON’T GET IT IN YOUR EYES. From there, the hair masks obviously focus on the the moisture and repairing of my hair while the oils I use to help my scalp, then seal in the moisture the masks infused in my hair. I try to switch up my masks often and mix them when I am feeling adventurous. Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask : I received the tube one in a BirchBox. It is packed with nutrients and is supposed to help damaged hair. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo : My Sephora birthday selection. It is for all hair types and is supposed to breakdown buildup. amika: - Triple Rx Mask : A $14.99 TJM purchase that I just couldn’t turn down. It is supposed to repair, restore and revitalize dry or damaged hair. OUAI - OUAI Leave-In Conditioner: Also a BirchBox product. I haven’t used it yet. now - Solutions, Certified Organic, Jojoba Oil is rich with fatty acids and helps promote softer hair and skin. now - Solutions, Sweet Almond Oil is high in vitamin E and locks moisture into hair strands. Reduces dandruff and promotes a healthy scalp #365 - Avocado oil[products]#[FourStars] stimulates blood flow and unclog blocked follicles. Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil and all of the other SI JBCO are GOATs. I love this brand and JBCOs. (Not pictured) What are your hairly grail products? #CheriePartner
Is Bangn Body worth the hype?
BANGN BODY - Firming Lotion Face & Body Moisturiser I’m not usually one to buy into the hype, but... I bought into the hype. A few of my favourite influencers were sponsored by Bangn Body a few months ago, but it was a podcast with the brand’s founder that really pushed me over the edge. You may want to sit down for this one... apparently we lose ONE PERCENT of our skin’s elasticity per year after age 20?? My 22-year old skin is feeling pretty upset at the moment. So long story short, I purchased the product immediately afterwards and here is my review 🤗 THE PACKAGING - my online order arrived in a small, fully recyclable box, with a few Starburst lollies inside! The tube itself is a decent size (150mL), is made of recyclable aluminium and looks super cute next to my other skincare products. THE SCENT - it honestly smells like a piña colada (pineapple and coconut), which would be amazing for anyone missing summer holidays. 🌴 I personally found the scent to be a bit overbearing for my face (dry skin), and it gives me a little bit of redness for a few minutes after applying. It doesn’t irritate any other part of my body. THE APPLICATION - the product is really creamy and thick. It’s also easy to control the level of product you squeeze out, so you can experiment with how much you’d like to use. This product is multi-purpose, so you can really apply it wherever you’d like. I apply a thin layer to my face on nights that I’m not using a sleeping mask, and also on my butt to help with acne and cellulite. THE RESULTS - this gets rid of my butt acne overnight, which is amazing! I haven’t been using it frequently enough to know whether my cellulite is being impacted, but since my face gets irritated from the scent I might start to use it more primarily as a body lotion. I don’t have any major skin concerns on my face that I was looking to fix with this product, however it did leave me feeling hydrated for hours afterwards. THE PRICE - if you have skin concerns, I think it’s worth giving this a shot (unless you have sensitive skin that doesn’t usually like strong fragrance). But for someone like me, I feel like there would be cheaper alternatives for the same/similar results. OVERALL - depending on your skin type and goals, I think it’s worth doing a bit of research into firming lotions to see whether you’d like to try this one out. I don’t regret buying this product, but I probably won’t be repurchasing. Please let me know if you have tried this product, and what you thoght! 🚨 An issue I wanted to point out is that the reviews on the Bangn Body website (4.9 star average) are quite different to those on the Mecca website (3.9 star average). I’m not saying that Bangn Body is choosing not to include bad reviews, but it just looks a bit fishy when there is such a stark difference between the two rating systems.

Say goodbye to bumpy skin!!
I’ve been using this duo for the past 2 weeks and the skin on the back of my legs & butt has never been more smooth! These are perfect for anyone who suffers from keratosis pilaris. The scrub is used 2-3x a week on dry skin and then washed off in the shower. Helps exfoliate the skin with a fine physical exfoliant but also includes glycolic and lactic acid to help brighten/smooth and help increase cell turnover. The particles are so fine this never causes any irritation on my skin. The only reason I am not giving the scrub 5 stars is because for the amount I use on my body the price seems kind of steep at 40$ CAD. This body cream is a DREAM. If you had to choose just one of these products I’d go with this. It has a rich creamy texture and has a natural AHA blend to help smooth out any bumpy textures but also gives amazing hydration. I noticed results after using this cream for only a few days! Will 100% repurchase this product. I sometimes will get a bit of acne on my butt/ behind my legs and this has helped clear it up!

Ingredient highlight: Propylene Glycol
If you search the internet about propylene glycol you may not want to use any product that contains it. They talk about this is a carcinogenic and toxic ingredient, obviously nobody wants an ingredient with those characteristics on their skin. However it is a widely used ingredient that with a good structure turns out to be non-toxic and is used in medicine, cosmetics and food. Propylene Glycol is a odorless, colorless and insipid liquid that is soluble in water. It is produced synthetically by adding water to propylene oxide, derived from petroleum products. It is a moisturizing, solvent, emollient, and preservative ingredient that helps attract water and locks it into the skin, used in creams, lotions, serums, shampoos, and other skin care products. This ingredient helps the skin absorb moisture, as well as smoothing hair. Principal functions: 🧪 Attracts water: at low concentrations it acts as a humectant. Helps give skin a hydrated, moist appearance when used in cosmetics. 🧪 Lightly moisturizes: as a moisturizer it also hydrates and softens the skin without feeling sticky. 🧪 Safe for acne-prone skin: it is a non-greasy ingredient. 🧪 Prevents water loss: as an emollient, it creates a protective barrier that prevents water loss and softens the skin. 🧪 Enhances penetration: helps the active ingredients in cosmetics penetrate the skin better and be more effective. SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Joia Strengthening + Smoothing Conditioner Claims: a rich yet weightless conditioner that repairs and smooths for healthy hair that’s twice as strong. As I mentioned above, propylene glycol helps smooth and detangle hair, and this conditioner definitely makes styling easier. It also smells delicious. I have been using it for 6 months and I love how soft and manageable my hair is, as well as helping to control frizz and detangle it easily. HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub Claims: a gentle yet powerful exfoliator infused with pineapple and papaya enzymes, BHAs, and AHAs that leaves skin with a healthy glow. I previously reviewed this product and mentioned that it leaves the skin clean, smooth and glowy, some of the benefits that this ingredient gives to the skin. I have been using it for 3 months and I like the results. Skin type: combination, acne-prone. Skin concerns: dullness, dryness. Hair type: straight hair. Hair concerns: frizz.

key ingredients: Truly Unicorn CBD body butter
Hi! What a lovely texture right? I wish you could smells it. TRULY - Unicorn CBD Whipped Body Butter Key Ingredients: — acai berries have anti-aging properties that also help fight free radicals through antioxidants. This is great for all skin types! — matcha // matcha powder helps reduce inflammation and also gentle exfoliates (which I had no idea about). This is best for normal to redness prone skin! (Like mine - rosacea) — cbd promotes healthy skin, is relief from redness and irritation, and helps normalize the agents that make skin acne prone. Obviously this is good for all skin types, especially acne prone! Claims: — nourishing — hydrating — mostly organic — Fragrance is low on list of ingredients! My thoughts — I took a ton of photos of this texture before I dug in. How cute is that swirl! — I love the scent so much, just like candy — but the good candy, like the rainbow sour ribbons from candy shops. — this is very hydrating and calming, but takes a while to sink in. — the texture is thick, kind of frosting like consistency at first. — I don’t use this often, but I like using it on parts of my body that are irritated or inflamed, as it’s very calming and soothes my skin. — $35 for 6oz

STILL USING A WASH CLOTH? 🥴
IF YOU SHAVE / WAX OR HAVE KERATOSIS PILARIS READ NOW‼️ Within the past year, I’ve experimented w/ exfoliating cloths, dry brushing, AHAs and sugaring. One day, I was on youtube and I heard about Korean wash cloths...When I heard the phrase “KOREAN WASH CLOTH” girllll. It was a wrap, must buy for me!! (If you know about Korean skincare products, you know). (BIAS? lmao) I paused the video and went straight to Amazon! My main reasons for purchasing these cloth were.. 1) I suffer from keratosis pilaris. This is a skin condition where the keratin or dead cells in a follicle builds up. When its not able to pass through the skin, you are left with either raised bumps or inflamed raised bumps lol. These bumps also can be found on the upper arms. Sorta like “goosebumps”. For me my legs get very dry. I wanted to exfoliate them thoroughly to remove that dry, rough skin. Because Keratosis pilaris has no know cure, I needed something that was non superficial and consistent. And 2) I was looking for better exfoliating method for Pre and Post Wax care. IF YOU WAX OR SHAVE, EXFOLIATING IS A MAJOR KEY. Exfoliating prior to waxing help the wax effectively remove the hair from its follicle. Exfoliating after is probably the most VITAL. This prevents ingrown hair from forming! This is a tremendous step that needs to be taken after every procedure. In the past, I’ve used loofahs and wash clothes, even body scrubs . But this cloth HAS CHANGED THE GAME. I still get so shocked with the results everytime. This is definitely my favorite exfoliating method now. So when using this cloth, keep it mind that it is pretty grainy. This texture is supposed to help remove built up dead skin, oil and dirt effectively. Its not as grainy and like a pumice stone BY TOUCH. But when you do rub it against your skin, there is a rough texture. Due to this grainy texture, it may not be suitable for sensitive skin. Or skin that is compromised but any skin conditions, EX. dematitis/ eczama. Personally i do not have sensitive skin. So this method is so perfect for me. TIPS: Basically when using this product, 1) let the warm water run on my body for and least 5 minutes. This help loosen and moisten the dry dead skin to make it easier for you to then exfoliate with the cloth. 2) Then I lather body wash around my whole body. This acts as an emollient to help the cloth glide across your body alot smoother. Then adding some to the cloth When you rinse off, you’ll see EVERYTHING! All of the dirt and dead skin will rinse off and you can visibly see it all! You’ll feel so gross but so satisfied at the same time lol 🤩 3) Be mindful to moisturize after this method. Since you’re basically stripping the skin of its natural oils. Be sure to add moisture back. Almond oil 🔥 P.S when looking for these cloths, GET THE BLUE ONE! I’ve read the reviews for the GREEN Korean wash cloth. And many ppl wrote about how unbearably rough it was🙅🏽♀️
