I know it’s not a necessity. But I’ve always loved a good essence in my routine. Primera gifted me their primera - Miracle Seed Essence and I can’t get enough of it for night time. It’s fragrance free, alcohol free and essential oil free and also contains super moisturizing ingredients like glycerin and niacinamide. It comes with eco friendly cotton pads to apply it with but I personally feel I get the most hydration just patting it in with my hands. This baby will definitely stay in my routine!

Rare Beauty Stay Vulnerable Collection
I was lucky enough to receive all products gifted from Octoly in exchange for an honest review. All shades are in the shade Nearly rose. The Rare Beauty - Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush is definitely the worst of the collection for me. It’s hard to build up color and when you try to build up the sheer formula it gets patchy. Love the packaging but I like the liquid blushes better. The Rare Beauty - Stay Vulnerable Liquid Eyeshadow is a product I unexpectedly like. It’s a beautiful Rose shade on the eyes and blends super easily. It wore well with minor creasing. Great for everyday. The Rare Beauty - Stay Vulnerable All Over Eyeshadow Brush is just ok for me. The brush itself is too short and it’s hard to hold it like I normally would. I also prefer something a tad fluffier for this type of shadow. The Rare Beauty - Stay Vulnerable Glossy Lip Balm is another win for me. It reminds me of a less shiny version of the tower 28 glosses. Super cushiony and comfortable on the list. Not as shiny as a gloss but has a slight balmy texture. Looks great on it’s own or with a lip liner. Love!

SPF Fail 🥴
SPF Review! ✨ Ghost Democray recently came out with their Invisible Lightweight Daily SPF 33. I’m a stickler for wearing SPF and Ghost Democracy is one of my fav skincare brands so I was excited to test this baby out! It’s 100% mineral sunscreen, no fragrance and oil free. I wanted to like this SO badly but unfortunately it’s just way too matte and dry on me. It leaves a white cast and my skin looks so dry and textured, no matter how much I moisturize before applying it. I find this commonly with mineral SPF’s. They’re better for your skin and the environment but the formulas can be a little more finicky. I also wish the SPF was higher than 33. Thank you for Ghost Democracy for sending this to me to test out!
Battle of the Cleansing Balms
Battle of the cleansing balms! ✨ I’ve been testing both the ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm and the #Juno Skin - Clean 10 Cleansing Balm[products]#[FiveStars] for the past few months. One is pricey, one affordable. Which reigns supreme? Well to start I really enjoy them both. They both have a yellow color with a citrus scent. The texture of the Elemis is extremely emollient and oily, almost a little goopy but does a really nice job at taking off makeup and not stripping my skin or leaving a film behind. The Juno Skin is a thicker to start but really sheers out and becomes super slippy on the skin (reminds me of the green clean texture). It takes off makeup super easily and glides around just a little easier than the Elemis. Also the Juno Skin has only 10 ingredients! The Elemis has many more than 10. Even though I enjoy them both, the Elemis is $64 for 3.7 oz, and the Juno Skin is just $14.50 for 3oz! Juno Skin definitely wins this one! 👏🏼 *both products gifted to me but opinions are honest and my own

Love me some luxury makeup. I’ve been getting into luxury brands more and more over the last year. tom Ford is a brand I haven’t shelled out the money to try yet, so I was super excited when I received this TOM FORD - Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in the shade Phantôme (deep warm brown) from Influenster. This shade intimidated me at first because it is a deeper gloss shade. But this formula is actually really balmy and sheer, which I prefer in a gloss. It makes the formula more wearable and buildable. Not the longest lasting but that doesn’t bother me at all. It also has a delicious sweet fruity smell that I really enjoy. Also the packaging is extremely weighted and luxe, as it should be. Overall I’m really loving this gloss! ✨

Product I can’t put down!
Product I cant put down: the UOMA BEAUTY - Double Take Contour Stick in White Pearl. The contour is the perfect cool toned shade for fair to light skin. I like it because the shade is cool so it’s strictly contour and then I can bronze on top. The highlight is a beautiful light champagne peach shade. It warms up easily on my hands and I tap it onto the high points of my cheeks. This is the perfect quick cream contour product. And they have 6 shades to choose from! I have the lightest shade and could probably go a shade deeper if I wanted more of a bronze effect. I highly recommend checking this out ✨

Create my own summer lip color 🍒+🍑
Today I want to share a really beautiful combination that I love to do recently. Since there are more sunny days this month, I prefer using shiny lip glosses. And the Water Stain collection of Yves Saint Laurent has been my favorite lip products recently because they are water-enriched, lightweight, fresh, and non-sticky at all. The price is $37, like the regular prices of YSL lip products, and recently Sephora has its VIP sales for 20% off, which is a perfect time to give it a try. Let’s start from the base color #610, named nude underwater, which is a brown nutmeg nude. I usually do two layers, because the color is quite sheer but still buildable. I want to have a peach nude color underneath, so the other color will blend naturally. Then I will use #613 on top. This is called Cascade Bordeaux, which is a deep burgundy shade if I do several layers, and a bright strawberry red if I only do one layer. That is the reason I love this collection because they are sheer and buildable, and you can choose how many colors you want depending on seasons, weathers or moods. In this combination, I will only put #613 on the center of my lower lip and blend it with #610 and repeat it again to have a juicy cherry lip color. Then I will use #610 again only on the edge of my lips and blend it inside to have a soft transition. Comparing with only using #610, I feel this combination can make my lips look more pump, and the color is perfect for summer. Since we have to stay at home, it’s time to do some creativity. I do have fun using my old lip colors to create some new ones, and I think it is a good way to save money too. YVES SAINT LAURENT - Vernis à Lèvres Water Stain Lip Stain

NEW TREND ALERT: slugging 🐌
So recently I have been seeing a lot of people talk about “slugging.” This is where you apply a super thick occlusive balm to your face at night, so you look like you have slug residue on your face! A lot of people use something like the CeraVe - Healing Ointment to get this affect. You can also use Vaseline or anything that’s a thick ointment like product! Benefits include: 🐌 waking up with soft baby skin 🐌helps formulas sink in more by creating a barrier Now, if you’re oily I don’t think this trend will be for you. But, it could help because oily skin needs moisture. Debunked: a lot of people think that the Vaseline and cerave ointment will clog pores but this isn’t true. Derms actually recommend these ingredients for really dry skin! But I would always patch test before going all out! My thoughts: I love this idea! I have super dry skin and love the idea of just slathering my face in an ointment and going to bed LOL. Be sure to buy a headband though because getting your hair stuck in it is not ideal! Comment your thoughts below! Will you or have you tried slugging?
Two Hype Brands One Winner!
This might be an unpopular opinion or at lest comparison because both of these masks have a cult following but with constantly sweating and wearing a face mask I have been desperate for a good pire refining clay mask to round out my beauty routine. I have been using Sand&Sky for a couple of years now, rather sparingly because each jar is $50. There are many stores now that Carry this brand so shipping fees are no longer a detriment and I absolutely love the results. SAND&SKY - Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask leaves my skin visually calmer, brighter and clean after use. It’s a gentle mask and I don’t worry about drying out my sensitive skin. However, due to the price tag I decided to give AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay a try and to be frank, I had heard so much about this before finally trying it, and I don’t see the appeal. It was a messy process and perhaps that’s the biggest hang up. I got powder all over the sink and not much on my face. I also noticed that my skin felt tight and dry after use. I tried to save some money and give this new mask a try but it just made me appreciate what I had already found.

My skin type is typically oily with the occasional breakout and dry spot. This product is intended to bronze and highlight the face, they can be used alone or together to create a custom look. The fourth and fifth picture of of the finished look. I used this matte bronzer portion as my bronzer and the shimmer shade as my highlighter! The bronzer isn’t my fav shade, but this duo together is pretty. The highlight is STUNNING 😍 I got this product for free as a Diamond gift from Ulta in 2018 or 2019, I’m not quite sure. This duo smells so good, like fresh pineapple! Bur can be overwhelming if you’re sensitive to fragrance. The pigmentation of the swatches transfers to real life, this duo is so pigmented!! I prefer a matte bronze so used that by itself and the highlighter on the typical areas I highlight. The packaging of this collection is so cute and love it! These both last well throughout the day and don’t disappear one me. I do like this product, but wouldn’t have bought it for myself. I like it because of the easy to control pigmentation and blinding highlight! I would recommend this if you’re not sensitive to fragrance and like having a convenient bronzer and highlight you can customize! This is a better deal than the blush/highlighter since you get more product, but I’m not sure it’s worth $30 😓 there are grear drugstores options for bronzers and contours, but this is great if you want to splurge! It takes hardly any time to use!Too Faced - Tutti Frutti Pineapple Paradise Strobing Bronzer Highlighting Duo Price: $30 for 0.28 oz Rating: 4/5

complexion perfection 💁🏻♀️
SKIN TONE: cool COMPLEXION: medium skin that may burn, but tans well PRODUCT: makeup forever face & body liquid foundation. Sleek glass packaging. Very liquidy consistency, it’s very true to the name “water blend”. I decided to try this product back when I was hunting for the best foundation for my skin type. I actually remember buying three different foundations from MUFE at the time 😅 as you can see, I like to do my face makeup after my eyeshadow! Just in case there’s eyeshadow fallout or I get a lil too crazy with extending the shadow. This way, I can just swipe away those mistakes! Now as for the foundation. I LOVE it!!! Especially in the winter time when my skin is dry and needs a lil extra moisture. I also really enjoy the light coverage it provides. I definitely prefer lighter coverage so my skin can breathe a little better. Plus I feel like I only really need help with evening out my complexion and this does just that! And it lasts all day!!! Of course, I’ve noticed it getting a bit more on the oily side, but, it’s a water foundation! So I anticipate it and don’t mind it, it makes my skin look like skin! I 100% recommend this product to anyone with combo/dry skin and is looking for lighter coverage. This may be just what you’re searching for! It retails for $43 but honestly, it’s worth it. A little goes a long way. I only need three small pumps to cover my face! I would give this foundation a full five stars, however, this brand is not cruelty free. Which is a no no for me personally!
