four tips for dealing with acne prone skin ✨💆
1. WASH YOUR FACE TWICE A DAY! i know it might sound dumb but seriously, making sure that you wash your face in the morning and before you go to sleep, will help to get rid of excess oil that can cause acne. but, if you have very sensitive skin, MAKE SURE that are you being very gentle when cleansing your face and that you are using products that won’t cause any breakouts and won’t irritate your skin. 2. USE A SPOT TREATMENT!! my personal favorite spot treatment is TULA SKINCARE - Go Away Acne Spot Treatment. it is very gentle on my skin and honestly the results are AWESOME! i seriously do see a different when using this spot treatment. this product has benzoyl peroxide plus tea tree oil and probiotics. the probiotics can smoothen your face as well as the tea tree oil. 3. EXFOLIATE!! 👏 exfoliating is one of my favorite things to do because the results are amazingggg! my skin is so soft after i exfoliate. it can also help my acne prone skin too! it helps to remove any excess dead skin cells that can clog your pores and lead to breakouts. having a buildup of dead cells on your face may also make your skin look dull, flaky, or prematurely aged. my favorite product to exfoliate with is Body Merry - Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Cleanserbecause it really does help when my face is rly dry and it delivers incredible results. while a combination of kojic acid, rosehip oil, olive oil and tea tree oils works to clear out your pores, the glycolic acid in the cleanser removes the dead layer of skin on the surface of your face. the jojoba oils in this cleanser also give it plenty of moisturizing power to rehydrate severely dry skin. LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE!! 4. FACE MASKS! 🤩 face masks are WONDERFUL but you have to make sure you get ones that aren’t going to damage your skin further! avoid getting face masks that have tons of fragrances and chemicals as these can really not be good for your skin. these are some of my favorite face masks to use that can help my acne prone skin: AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing ClaySOOO this product has a ton of hype around it and i’m sure you’ve heard of it before. this mask is very strong so if you have really sensitive skin i do NOT recommend it for you. for me, this mask has helped me see some results in my acne and it’s always a fun experience. you have to mix the clay with apple cider vinegar to form a paste that you then spread across your face as you would with a regular clay mask. grace & stella - Acne Treatment Facial Sheet Masksi loveeee these masks and i have probably seen the most results from these masks! it has salicylic acid along with other acne fighting ingredients! GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Maskthis mud mask works wonders for my skin! it helps to remove blemishes and pesky pimples with it’s bled of 6 acids that GET THE JOB DONE! i hope these tips helped!!! ❤️

ilonnHi. Personally i don't think it's necessary to wash your face twice a day. Over-cleansing is common in those with oily or acne-prone skin!! Washing the face twice a day may cause irritation for sensitive and dry skin. So i think the safer choice is cleanse properly at night using a hydrating cleanser and simply rinse with warm water in the morning.

•2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser•
Body Merry - Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser was given to me as a gratis. The representative of this brand was saying great things about this cleanser and so I gave it a try Body Merry is a natural skincare brand that claims to use all natural ingredients. The purpose of this products is to unclog pores from impurities as well as remove dead skin cells because of glycolic acid. Helps brightening, nourish, and moisturize the skin. I am prone to acne and was a little skeptical using it because of olive and jojoba oil do not do well with my skin. However, after using it for almost a month I noticed some changes on my skin. Before using this my skin was looking dull, had a lot of oil buildup on my t-zone, dark spots from previous breakouts. After using for almost a month my skin looked radiant, I saw less oil around my t-zone, and I also had less breakouts. As for my dark spots some were still visible (but as we know sometimes we need a different product to help with those areas). What I love about it is that the beads (made out of jojoba wax see 2nd picture) were gentle. This product had a citrusy smell but it was not over powering were my skin felt irritation. In fact after cleansing my skincare felt moisturized, smooth, and radiant. As you read at the beginning my concern of suing this product was olive and jojoba oil however, because of the following ingredients my skin had no bad reaction. 🔅Glycolic Acid - a chemical exfoliator helps remove dead skin cells as well treats acne & scars, hyperpigmentation and more 🔅 Willow Bark - an alternative salicylic acid because it contains salicin (source of SA) helps treat acne and decrease excess oil. 🔅 Kojic Acid- helps with hyperpigmentation and dark spots ( however due to all these great ingredients it is less effective) 🔅 Tea tree oil - antibacterial & antibacterial properties 🔅 Oils such as rose hip, olive, & jojoba help moisturize & nourish skin 🔅 CICA- this ingredient is low but it has its effects helps soothe skin & one of my holy grail ingredients for acne My overall expensive I enjoyed it because it was gentle and I would use it 3 times a week when exfoliating. Price: Retail price - $19.99 Current the brand website is having a discount of a $1 off) *Remember not all will have the same skin reaction, be gentle to your skin and get to know your skin*
Hello! This is my first post and I’m extrémalo excited to join this community and share what has worked for me. In these pictures there is about a 2 months difference but my skin has been this clear for about a month so I’m order to see my results it took around a month. 😊 I’d be lying if i said that I accomplished this with just skincare products because what made the real change was Accutane. Yet, a good skincare routine helps a lot! And is what I’ve been doing to keep my skin this way. I use CeraVe - Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser and I love it! I exfoliate with the DIOR - Hydra Life Time to Glow Ultra Fine Exfoliating Powder which I really like(it was gifted)! Next what I do is use the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% which has helped my little hyperpigmentation. I also use the DIOR - Hydra Life Deep Hydration Sorbet Water Essence (gifted) I love it because it makes my skin feel plump and hydrated! After I use the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream which is great at night! And to finish it off I use TULA SKINCARE - Go Away Acne Spot Treatment

are sheet masks worth it?
Karuna - Revivify+ Face Mask patchology - Moodmask ''The Good Fight'' Clear Skin Sheet Mask GLAMGLOW - BUBBLESHEET Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask GO-TO - Transformazing Sheet Masks sheet masks! are they worth the $$? do they work? are they necessary? let’s get into it 🤪🤪 what are sheet masks? sheet masks are fabrics for that face that have a lot of serums in them that soak into the skin with each use! sheet masks vary with ingredients for different face and skin problems so finding what you need for your skin is very important in a sheet mask! benefits of sheet masks benefits of sheet masks depend on what ingredients are in the specific sheet mask that you are using. results could be brightening, hydration, firming. unlike face masks that you rinse off, sheet masks are not dehydrating at all to the skin and since you don’t rinse off the serum after taking the sheet mask off, it leave you GLOWING! do they work? it really depends, so yes and no! it depends on what you are wanting to get out of your experience with sheet masks. if you are looking for hydration and radiance, then yes! you will see instant results with this, but it quite potentially will be short term results. sheet masks are a be all end all and are just a self care spa day for yourself! do you need sheet masks in your routine? not at all! sheet masks are often known as a little extra aspect to your skincare routine that are not necessary! they are fun to use and make yourself feel pampered in your own house. for example, if you want extra hydration with using hyaluronic acid, you could just purchase this serum on its own, rather than just using a one time sheet mask with this ingredient in it! I personally love sheet masks when I want a nice self care day as they are fun to use and are something different in my skincare routine! I especially love using them after drying masks such as the AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay as after this mask, I need all the hydration I can get!
Cult Favourite Try Out 💫
Like 96% of the “cult classics” I buy, I caved after seeing this is a buzzfeed listictle for the 50th time. AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay is a powdered Amazonian (both the place and the online shop where I bought it from) clay that when mixed with water forms a paste mud mask. Tips for use: - use cider vinegar instead of water! It makes the mask more effectice in my experience. It blends way smoother and it fizzes immediately when the vinegar touches the powder so you can see it activating. It says you can use either but stick with the vinegar 🌟 super purifying - literally sucks the crud out of your pores. It’s really good for excess oil and acne, it dries my zits right out by the next morning! 🌟 affordable - I think the massive tub cost me 14 dollars Canadian and it’s lasting FOREVER (I’ve had this for 7 months and you can’t tell I’ve even touched it) 🌟 natural - it’s 100% natural Calcium Bentonite Clay 🌟 bonus use - use it as a spot treatment on bug bites to soothe itching and reduce swelling! ⛈ avoid your brows / any hair - It’s really tough to scrub clean if fully tried and the brows are a pain in the arse to get it out of ⛈ can be drying - if you have sensitive skin it can be irritating, I wouldn’t leave it on more than 5 min your first time to test your reaction to it! I usually do this as a once a week Sunday night masque to start the week with a clean slate. I follow with with rose hip oil and SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask as an overnight masque to make sure to re-hydrate my skin after! ⛈ can be MESSY - pro tip: use a Dixie cup to mix the clay and vinegar in. That way you can just toss it in the recycling after! When you remove the masque use a damp washcloth to gentilly remove the clay or remove before it hardens

Need help to get clear skin for combination skin
Hi Cherie friends, I’ve been going through many posts in this community. They are very helpful. I’m 28 & from past 4 years I’m facing lot of issues with my skin acne , redness, breakouts, dullness, uneven skin tone. I recently started following morning & evening skin care routine since 2 months . I’m new to the skin care regime. I have lot of concerns with the break outs , redness , wrinkles , lines on forehead , dark circles , puffy eyes & red bumps on my forehead & all over. I badly need your help to clear out the acne , pores on my skin & reduce the wrinkles. Currently I’m using CLEANSERS: TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser ORIGINS - Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser EXFOLIATERS: TATCHA - The Rice Polish Foaming Enzyme Powder ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser TONER: ORIGINS - Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion Dabur - Gulabari Rose Water SERUMS: TATCHA - Violet-C Brightening Serum 20% Vitamin C + 10% AHA ESTĒE LAUDER - Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex PATANJALI - Saundarya Aloe Vera Gel SUNDOWN - Sundown Vitamin E SUNSCREEN: Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 MOISTURIZER: TATCHA - The Water Cream LANEIGE - Water Bank Moisture Cream LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask MASKS ON ALTERNATE WEEKENDS : SEPHORA COLLECTION - Face Mask Rose Moisturizing GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Mask MY MORNING ROUTINE - any of the cleansers - exfoliater (twice a week) - toner - serum ( sometimes any of the 2 ) - sunscreen - moisturizer Night routine is almost same but without sunscreen Masks on Alternate weekends. Another GlamGlow review
GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Mask I like this mask because it has 6 acids in it along with clay that help my face clear up without hitting it with the superbomb peels. It gives a little bit of tingle with application and dries pretty quickly because you are supposed to use only a THIN layer (which also helps it last longer). Be sure to avoid any redness or sensitive areas on your face! Follow up with a hydrating cream because your skin will need some *extra* love after those acids, and if you are really sensitive, add an oil on top to seal the moisture to your skin. Would I pay $60 for this? Definitely not. The sample was useful, but it’s not a holy grail product for me so I couldn’t justify spending so much on. In fact, I prefer this as a spot treatment for acne or pimples. And because you don’t need a lot, a mini size will last you long enough. This product is marketed to ppl with oily or combo skin, but I think would work great as a spot treatment for any skin type!
The best acne treatment mask I’ve ever used!
SAND&SKY - Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask The Sand & Sky pink clay porefining face mask is hands down the best clay mask that I have ever used. This mask can clear up ANY congestion and acne that you may possibly have, in just a short 10 minute mask session. I have gone through 4 whole jars of this magical mask in about 1.5 years. I will repurchase over and over again because honestly there’s not another clay mask out there that delivers these kind of results. I would recommend this mask for any skin type that is struggling with acne and congestion, just keep in mind that the dry skin types (such as myself) will need to HYDRATE after this one. It doesn’t strip your skin, per-say, but it is a little more drying and tightens your pores giving you a dry feeling afterwards. The main ingredients in this gem are: Australian clay, aloe leaf juice, vitamin e, witch hazel, dehdroacetic acid, lactic acid, and glycerin. It does contain some natural fragrance, which smells very fresh almost cucumbery to me, but it does not irritate the skin. The texture of this mask is a thicker paste, but smoothes onto the skin easily with the cute little included mask brush applicator. The texture starts as a wet clay and dries down within the 10 minutes you have it on. The mask feels very cooling and is one of the more comfortable clay masks that I have used. You can always sprits a face mist or toner to keep it from drying down completely! I think that the jar of product can go a long way and last a decent amount of time with frequent use, because the product spreads so easily and a little goes a long way. The price point is justified in my opinion because the results are THAT good and immediate. I highly recommend this product to anyone struggling with congestion, texture, and breakouts! 5/5 stars

Cold Plunge Pore Mask
What is it- A blue clay cooling mask to help oil control, enlarged pores and skin texture. Retail price $36 for 3oz(90mls) Skin types: oily, combo, normal, dry or sensitive I originally purchased this mask when it was first released by the brand because honestly it was cool looking and I wanted to try the cooling effect it claimed to give. I have sensitive dry skin with texture and this did not break me out at all. I noticed after a couple of uses my usually large pores seemed smaller and my skin seemed a lot smoother. I am currently on my second tube of this mask! This does have a very cooling effect so if you are not into this sort of thing I’d definitely steer away. You can get so many uses out of this tube so I think it’s worth the price.
OLE HENRIKSEN-Cold Plunge Pore Mask
Oily/combination and acne-prone babes, this is for you! 🤍 Maskne has been a nuisance lately, and I L O V E this mask for clearing out my pores. All you need is 10 minutes and a reusable makeup remover wipes! Let’s get down to the nitty gritty! The ORIGINS - Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask to Rescue Problem Skin is a clay mask containing zinc oxide, colloidal sulfur, and salicylic acid to help soak up excess oil and debris, as well as clear out pores. 💟 Zinc Oxide helps dry out excess oil. But it is also a common ingredient in, you guessed it! Sunscreen!! 💟 Colloidal Sulfur also helps absorb excess oil and dead skin cells which helps unclog pores. It works best on whiteheads and blackheads. 💟 Salicylic Acid is an oil-soluble hydroxy acid that reaches deep into your skin to help clear out any sebum, dirt, and debris. This mask goes for $34 CAD at Sephora for 2.5 oz. It’s a small bottle, but masks like these shouldn’t be used to excess because they dry out the skin. When my skin started breaking a few weeks ago, I used this mask twice and I had noticed my breakouts disappeared faster and my face felt less congested. My skin felt less oily for a few days after use as well. I’ve read a lot of reviews on this mask, and if your skin is a little more sensitive to this particular product, some people have suggested using it as a spot treatment. 😊 What makes me happy is that the star ingredients are in the upper half of the ingredients list! What is your go-to acne fighting product? Let me know in the comments! 👇🏻

It is 100% suitable for acne-prone skin and works with pores, oiliness, blemishes, and problem skin! This has a very thick and rich texture and dries on the skin to let you know it’s working!! lmao excuse the 2nd pic i finished up the tube before i could get a more aesthetic photo. so enjoy this throwback from an instagram story of mine 😅 god i love this mask. the mediterranean rose clay in this mask has bestowed magic upon me. ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay 🌷PROS🌷 —————— • it breathes life back into tired and dull looking skin. • short drying time. a thin layer is all that’s needed! a little goes a long way • more gentle than most clay masks. i was able to use it basically everyday (unfortunately this routine is not recommended for sensitive skin) • kept my acne at bay. it was even able to smoothen out the lil pimple bumps on my forehead • always softened my skin and never left it feeling dry or tight 🥀CONS🥀 —————— nothing bad to say about it 🤷🏻♀️ this mask out performed other clay masks i have tried in the past in order to tame my super oily, acne prone skin. i am in love with it!

Clean out those pores!
THE INKEY LIST: 💫 K a o l i n C l a y M a s k •this mask is marketed as a natural, deep-cleaning mask that aims to reduce acne, pores, blemishes, and oiliness. •this mask is a thick clay texture with virtually no scent. HONESTY: •Overall, I think this mask works well to clean out my pores. The clay draws out all the gunk and makes my skin feel soft and my pores look smaller! •I like this mask because it’s all natural and effective. I found that it works pretty well to reduce incoming breakouts! But, I do have to say I have used a lot of clay masks and this one is not my absolute favorite of them all. I just think I have seen more instant results from other masks. I just don’t find myself reaching for this one off my shelf too often, purely because I like other masks more. •This mask is only $6.99 and has lasted me a while! For that reason, I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t want to spend a fortune to get good results! I have sensitive skin and this worked just fine for me! I do have to say, this mask is nice & gentle! RATING:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m giving this mask 4 out of 5 stars. I think it’s a great mask for the money and it’s gentle enough for all skin types!
