just a teenager who loves skincare 🤪
four tips for dealing with acne prone skin ✨💆
1. WASH YOUR FACE TWICE A DAY! i know it might sound dumb but seriously, making sure that you wash your face in the morning and before you go to sleep, will help to get rid of excess oil that can cause acne. but, if you have very sensitive skin, MAKE SURE that are you being very gentle when cleansing your face and that you are using products that won’t cause any breakouts and won’t irritate your skin. 2. USE A SPOT TREATMENT!! my personal favorite spot treatment is TULA SKINCARE - Acne Spot Treatment. it is very gentle on my skin and honestly the results are AWESOME! i seriously do see a different when using this spot treatment. this product has benzoyl peroxide plus tea tree oil and probiotics. the probiotics can smoothen your face as well as the tea tree oil. 3. EXFOLIATE!! 👏 exfoliating is one of my favorite things to do because the results are amazingggg! my skin is so soft after i exfoliate. it can also help my acne prone skin too! it helps to remove any excess dead skin cells that can clog your pores and lead to breakouts. having a buildup of dead cells on your face may also make your skin look dull, flaky, or prematurely aged. my favorite product to exfoliate with is Body Merry - Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Cleanserbecause it really does help when my face is rly dry and it delivers incredible results. while a combination of kojic acid, rosehip oil, olive oil and tea tree oils works to clear out your pores, the glycolic acid in the cleanser removes the dead layer of skin on the surface of your face. the jojoba oils in this cleanser also give it plenty of moisturizing power to rehydrate severely dry skin. LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE!! 4. FACE MASKS! 🤩 face masks are WONDERFUL but you have to make sure you get ones that aren’t going to damage your skin further! avoid getting face masks that have tons of fragrances and chemicals as these can really not be good for your skin. these are some of my favorite face masks to use that can help my acne prone skin: AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing ClaySOOO this product has a ton of hype around it and i’m sure you’ve heard of it before. this mask is very strong so if you have really sensitive skin i do NOT recommend it for you. for me, this mask has helped me see some results in my acne and it’s always a fun experience. you have to mix the clay with apple cider vinegar to form a paste that you then spread across your face as you would with a regular clay mask. grace & stella - Acne Treatment Facial Sheet Masksi loveeee these masks and i have probably seen the most results from these masks! it has salicylic acid along with other acne fighting ingredients! GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Maskthis mud mask works wonders for my skin! it helps to remove blemishes and pesky pimples with it’s bled of 6 acids that GET THE JOB DONE! i hope these tips helped!!! ❤️

my night time skin care routine 🌜✨
hey guys! so i’ve been wanting to write about my night time skin care routine for a while now because i’m just obsessed with skincare lol. so this is my skin care routine, nothing CRAZZZY , it’s pretty simple and I use affordable products! 1. okay so firstly i remove any makeup that i might have been wearing that day using the reusable cloths that are good for the environment (and trust me.. they actually work!) but, if i wasn’t wearing any makeup that day then i skip this step and move on. VENICS - Makeup Removing Cloth Duo 2. next, i cleanse my face using Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser. i absolutely loveeee this product because it is very gentle and has no perfumes (which can be damaging to the skin). this cleanser is very basic and can be found at literally any drugstore ever. when i cleanse my face, i make sure to be very gentle and use warm water to open up my pores a bit. 3. after i cleanse my face it’s time for toner! this just helps to remove any excess dirt, traces of oil, and makeup. it also can correct and balance the pH level of your skin and helps control acne! i am acne prone so the toner that i use is good for my acne Murad - Clarifying Toner. but, this can get expensive over time (around $25) so if i ever want to buy a cheaper version of this... i buy THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Mistwhich is cheaper! (always make sure to get your products alcohol free!!!!) 4. nowww i use an acne serum The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalanewhich works very well for my acne spots! 5. lastly, i use a moisturizer Cetaphil - Cetaphil Facial Night Creamwhich is very gentle on my skin and leaves it feeling healthy and refreshed! (and sometimes if i’m really feeling like going the extra step with my skincare, i’ll use VITAMASQUES - Jade Rollerto roll on my moisturizer). okay... that’s my night time skin care routine!! written out it looks really lengthy and drawn out but i promise this takes me about 5 minutes and it’s super simple!

a good dupe!
so, we all know that drunk elephant is extremely expansive but... their products are also really good! so, what do we do? we find a good dupe! i was looking for something to make my skin ✨glow✨ but for a better price than DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil. i read many reviews that this product didn’t clog up pores because of it oil but still relives dry skin which was exactly what i was looking for! i have combination skin so i was planning on using this product on my dry spots but then i saw the price 😳 YIKES! it was $72 on sephora and i wasn’t willing to spend this much on a product to be honest. but, i still wanted something just like it. soooo... i did some research and found that insta natural - Complete Organics Marula Oilwas a good dupe according to some. i bought this just a couple days ago and i’m loving it so far! it’s a beautiful luxurious oil and it goes on perfectly! first, i start with my hyaluronic acid serum then i mist again with water to lock in that moisture because my skin has been feeling drier than usual. after, i put a few drops of the marula oil on my fingers and then i press into my skin over my dry spots. when i tell you my skin is GLOWING i totally mean it. I AM LOVING IT and the price difference! ($72 to $15) ❤️

Hyped beauty products...
We can see these products everywhere (YouTube, instagram, TikTok...) but do they really worth the hype? The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Key ingredients: 30% AHA (glycolic acid, lactic acid, tartaric acid, citric acid) 2% BHA (salicylic acid). Price: $7.20 Worth the hype?: YES! It’s one of the products that attract the most attention since its color looks like blood 🩸. There are thousands of reviews, many speak well of the product and others not so much, probably because it is not for everyone. Definitely someone with sensitive skin shouldn't use it. And those with skins that tolerate chemical exfoliation should take precautions before using it, such as: 1. Patch test (inside the arm or back of the ear) and wait at least 24 hours. 2. Do not overexfoliate, most people see this product as a mask, but it’s a chemical exfoliant, if you wash your face with an exfoliating cleanser or scrub you would definitely be overexfoliating. 3. Do not leave it more than 10 minutes. 4. Remove it completely with water, you can use cleanser to make sure you remove it completely. 5. Apply a moisturizing cream after removing it (without acids like salicylic acid, retinoids...). 6. Use sunscreen (mineral or physical). It’s normal to feel warm or slightly tingling sensation, but it must be tolerable. I like the results of this product, it leaves the skin luminous and clean. The face may be a little red but for no more than 30 minutes. It’s the type of exfoliant that I use every 2 weeks or when I require a more aggressive exfoliation. 🚨IMPORTANT: Social media has popularized the image of touching a glass vial of skin care directly to your skin. Doing this makes the dirt on your skin go directly to the product bottle contaminating it, the ideal is to apply a few drops of the product on your hand without touching it. AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay Key ingredients: Calcium bentonite clay. Price: $12.90 Worth the hype?: YES! This product became popular several years ago, it has excellent reviews from many users talking about the wonders it does. It is a 100% natural clay that helps clean the pores. It acts as a kind of impurity magnet, it can be used with water or apple cider vinegar, the second option is better because it helps to neutralize the pH of the clay. I mix it with apple cider vinegar, let it dry for 20 minutes. As it dries, you’ll feel a tightening and pulling sensation. The slight redness of the skin is normal and disappears in about 30 minutes. The pulsating feeling is intense and when the mask dries your face feels a little tight. It leaves the skin clean and makes you less prone to breakouts, in fact for this reason I bought this mask and it works very well. The ideal is to use a moisturizer after (without acids such as salicylic, retinoids ...). 🚨IMPORTANT: use non-metallic containers, spoons/spatulas. My skin type: combination. Skin concerns: blackheads, pores.

Getting rid of black heads through oil cleansing
A Famous esthetician on YouTube recently shared her way to get rid of black heads. Basically she just cleansed first with a balm for one minute then she cleansed with an oil for an extensive amount of time about 15 ish minutes or longer. And this grew very popular because after people would do it you could see all their blackheads sabaceous filliments on their hands and it’s very satisfying. So I decided to try it out... I don’t really have a lot of blackhead I get more white heads and just bumps. So I wasn’t expecting much. But after I did it I could see a BUNCH of little black things on my fingers! Not only that but my skin was so smooth after! Its not something I think I will be doing regularly cause I think there are better options for exfoliation. But it definitely works and is worth a try!
