Guide to MEN'S Skincare! 🤎
The days of minimal skincare for men are over! The global market for skincare is expected to reach $189 billion globally by 2025 (statista.com). These companies are no longer missing out on the huge market that is expanded through men of all ages. Sisinternational Research also did studies that show men have a few preferences when it comes to skincare: easy to use products, leave no residue, and no strong scent. So, men's specific skincare products are ultimately completely unnecessary. They do have simple packaging and added cologne fragrances, but the ingredients do not differ in any positive way. Physiological differences between men and women's skin usually shows through larger pores, more oil production, and thicker overall skin. As I said before, it used to be seen as a feminine endeavor to go down the skincare aisle. Through more education and gender neutral marketing, people are picking up cleansers and moisturizers without the stigma. So, put down the 3-in-1 shampoo and face wash combo and try these suggestions out instead. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Great budget friendly option for most skin types. Using a foaming but non stripping wash can help keep it clean and hydrated. Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHA Gentle exfoliant that works great to ease your way into a skincare routine. Use 1-2 weekly and increase over time. This can help with pesky ingrown hairs and irriation caused by facial hair. Do not use same day as shaving! dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator Physical exfoliant option if you prefer a scrub feeling that can be used before shaving. Use 2-3 weekly and assess skin's response. Only choose one exfoliant to use at a time. OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Serum Optional vitamin C is a great way to brighten up and even the skin tone. Use every morning before SPF. Leaves no sticky feeling and sinks in nicely. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30 Sunscreen is an absolute must for everyone! This packaging is clean and neutral, and a squeeze tube makes it easy to store in a shaving kit. Be sure to apply quite a bit and reapply throughout the day. Working at the spa, I got quite a few male clients for facials. Taking care of your skin at home or professionally is necessary no matter what. Do not be afraid to purchase the essentials: cleanser, exfoliant and SPF. After a while of getting your routine down, then you can add in extra products as needed for your specific skin type. It is time to squash societal norms surrounding men's hygiene and skincare! Who's with me?
Why I Don’t Like This Micellar Water 😩
I know. A lot of people love micellar water. A lot of people swear by it. Unfortunately I’m just not one of them. Or at least not with this one: GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Mattifying Don’t get me wrong. It works. It does take off makeup. And it is pretty gentle. But I don’t enjoy it for the following reasons: You kind of have to use it with cotton rounds, but cotton rounds always kind of irritate my skin like physical exfoliation. With eye makeup and lip makeup, you need to soak your cotton pads and put them on your eyes/lips to melt off the makeup before you swipe it off. I just find that the product gets into my eyes or mouth easily and it’s not a pleasant feeling. When you have to soak the cotton rounds, the amount of product actually makes it feel soapy. I’ve actually seen it almost foams up, which I’m not a fan of because it completely goes against the purpose of freshness and easiness. It’s not mattifying, or at least I don’t feel like it is. Instead I only feel that it leaves strange residues on my face, which is my biggest problem with this product. I feel compelled to wash my face with a normal cleanser again, even when I’m not using it to take off makeup, but just to fresh up skin from oil and sweat. I honestly think it’s easier to just use an oil or a balm to take off makeup and a regular cleanser to clean my face. Right now I only use this to spot cleanse when I screw up a spot on my makeup and on my body to take off overnight body acne treatment. Maybe it’s just this particular micellar water. Maybe it’s me not using it right. I wish I like it but I really don’t. 💔

Let’s hope this works
Okay so I switched from Neutrogena products to CeraVe about a month ago. I’ve always struggled with acne but after doing some research I felt like if I just used the regular gentle cleanser with a spot treatment and acne moisturizer it would be fine. Nope. Still breaking out. Sometimes worse than before! So I got this acne cream cleanser. I’m planning on using the gentle cleanser in the morning, and the acne cleanser at night. But that could change to using the acne cleanser twice a day. ✨first impression: well, first it says to put on damp skin but I was zoning out and put it on with a dripping wet face. Oops. It felt like it was just sliding around my face and not doing anything so when my face dried a little I added a bit more and it felt better. Secondly, the products says “foaming” cream cleanser. There was no foam. With the regular gentle cleanser, that stuff foams like crazy and really feels like I’m getting clean. This stuff doesn’t foam and doesn’t feel like I’m getting a super good deep clean. But I’m really hoping it helps my acne!!!! That’s all I want!!
CeraVe-Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser
I thought I’d love cerave too....
Hi everyone, this is my first time ever posting anything here and I’m hoping someone can help me. My skin was finally cleared out after using another product but wanted to give this one a try when I ran out of the other one. After a few days I noticed this started to happen to me, I’m not sure if it’s “purging” as many say. But I want to know your opinions if it happened to those who have tried this? Or did it go away. Hope I can get answers😰
CeraVe-SA Smoothing Cleanser
First impression on CeraVe foaming cleanser
Formula: 🤔the consistency was a thick gel which I wasn’t expecting, when I think of foaming cleansers I think of light and airy. I didn’t expect so much to come out when I pumped the handle and I think that was too much for one cleanse. Results: ✨My skin doesn’t feel tight after I use it, which is a pet peeve of mine. I feel very refreshed, clean and relaxed after I use this product. My skin after using this feels smooth, and less oily! 🤨On the other hand washing it off was a little hard. It wouldn’t come off there would always be a little more on my chin, my forehead, my ear even. So it takes a good minute to get everything off. Overall this product is great! there isn’t any dryness or discomfort after using and I will be using this product in my skincare routine! Happy skincare everyone! 🧼😘
CeraVe-Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin
Did Hyram lie?
This face wash is for people with normal skin and is supposed to work wonders with acne. Sadly for me no wonders took place, although I did see some improvement. Overall this cleanser helps keep my acne “tamed”, although even that doesn’t always work. I was disappointed by the fact it wasn’t cleared since that is what I heard others saying. 3/5 stars- because there was so much hype I didn’t experience, it does help some what, and it has great ingredients+price point
CeraVe-Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin
Great cleanser for normal to oily skin! 🤩
I’ve been using this cleanser for a couple weeks now, and honestly, it’s one of the best I’ve ever used! It doesn’t leave your skin feeling squeaky clean and dry afterwards due to the ceramides in the cleanser. Even though it says “foaming” on the bottle, I find that it doesn’t foam up as much as you would anticipate. It’s more like micro-foam, but it doesn’t bother me! It still gets the job done. I was worried it would break me out due to the ceramides, but there was no bad reaction at all. In fact, the oil production in my skin seems to be controlled, and I don’t get too oily throughout the day like I used to. Even after cleansing, my skin still felt somewhat moisturized. If you’re worried about drugstore cleansers being too harsh and stripping, you don’t have to worry about this one. This cleanser is very GENTLE on the skin. If you have sensitive skin, I would recommend using this for the time being. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin
