New Year's day glam 🎉✨
Happy New Year everyone!! I hope that 2021 is so much better than 2020 (even though I've had some good things happen) as far as the coronavirus and political tension in the US. My foundation collection 🥳
Here's a rundown of every foundation I have and my rating/opinion on them (the ones I've owned for quite a bit)! Enjoy :) MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation in 112 natural ivory - moves around a lot and isn't good for oily skin, since I found it to need lots of powder Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint in shades G10, 11 & 12 - they're tints, so don't expect full coverage - more like light-medium, you can build it up. I give them 4/5 stars bc they need to expand their shade range and bc I found I needed lots of powder to set this one. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation in 140C - I'm so impressed by this one and I love it. So worth it and the shade range is really good. A good long wearing foundation and I didn't have any issues. Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation in seashell & cloud - I mix them together to get my perfect shade, since cloud is too light and seashell is too dark. Def one of the best foundations (if not the best) ever made. COVERGIRL - Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation in 510/porcelain - too light but not a bad foundation, more of a skin tint and the smell kinda bothers me I have yet to try all these in a wear test: DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundationin 1 cool rosy ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundation in 3.75 HOURGLASS - Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stickin vanilla ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation in 1C0 shell beautyblender - Bounce Liquid Whip Long Wear Foundationin 1.50 cool Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Longwear Foundationin 2 cool Next up to try: Fenty pro filt'r soft matte foundation and YSL all hours foundation - I have samples of both and I'm excited to try them

Current faves! ❤️
Here's my current faves for January that are makeup and skincare products: GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover - I'm so surprised at how well makeup comes off using this! It's amazing and I didn't have an allergic reaction to it (typically makeup removers cause me to break out or make my face red, hot and blotchy) L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara in 201 black - I've been loving this mascara lately because it doesn't clump like crazy, it lengthens my lashes really well, and is so inexpensive!! HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Duo - I've used the original ones twice on some pretty big pimples and just a few hours later they were ready to pop! Also, I wore them during the day and tbh they aren't really that noticeable, maybe it's because of my skin tone & how the color of the patches is similar. They also stay on pretty well and really do the trick. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom in fig - I absolutely love this flavor and it's definitely the one I reach for the most. I've heard mixed reviews about it, and as someone who hasn't even tried a fig, I now want to try one. (the flavor probably isn't the exact same but that's ok) MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect in 102 tantric - this is my favorite bronzer ever and it's such a great value, because you get so much product. It's buildable, smooth, and smells so good!! NOTE: if you tap this item, it'll say that it's $65, which it's not! It's on sale for $34 at Sephora ($49 originally) DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation in 1 cool rosy - I love this foundation and I've been reaching for it lately because of how smooth and buildable it is. ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundation in 3.75 - great coverage, super smooth, and really easy to blend out. One thing I do find when I use this foundation is that I need 2 pumps in order to get it to cover my whole face. It's not something super concerning, but I find some foundations go farther and I don't mind using 2 pumps tbh.

Video Call Makeup Trick 🎥💄
In the world of digital meetings I’m sure we’ve all mastered our “zoom makeup” look at this point.. but here’s a trick for all of those products that you own that are just kind of meh 😕 I’ve started using my 3 or 4 star makeup for my zoom calls, rather than letting it sit and expire! As long as the ingredients don’t have anything that will irritate my skin or make me break out then they move into my video call rotation! This way I can save my good makeup for the few human interactions I get to have 😂 This foundation is the perfect example of this! My shade in this product is a little off, so in person it’s not great but on camera no one notices! The consistency is also a bit thick, so I prefer to not have this on my skin for too long!

High-end foundation comparison 💁🏼‍♀️ PT 1
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! I wanted to share swatches of my new foundations that I got at Sephora. - ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundationin shade 3.75 - this shade is just a little too tan, so I'll mix some too faced btw foundation in shade cloud if I'm wearing it (the shade I use to lighten up foundation) and I love it because its so smooth and blends out like a dream. It reminds me of the NARS - Natural Radiant Longwear Foundationbc of the thickness and they blend out similarly. - beautyblender - BOUNCE Liquid Foundationin shade 1.50C - felt nice when I blended it, but my only problem with it is the bottle/container, since it really shoots out and if you push the button on the back (the pump) you have to press slowly even tho it requires a bit of force and you might be able to get a partial pump. Also, I don't like that the foundation can't be pumped directly onto a blender or brush - it goes right on the bottle & makes it dirty, plus you might have extra. In addition, the surface of the bottle might not be as sterile or clean (of course depending on if you clean it - but for example using the foundation after sitting out on a counter or in a makeup bag) as a sponge or brush. - Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Longwear Foundationin shade 2 cool - I really love how this foundation felt on my skin (even in the small area) and I feel like it's an equivalent of the armani foundation - like in a foundation match finder. - DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundationin shade 1 cool rosy - I like how the bottle is a squeeze bottle and not a pump one bc it's different and it seems like the product's packaging design is meant to be more hands-on and you can be more specific with applying it than a pump bottle foundation. I noticed when swatching that it's a little more liquidy than the others - specifically the armani one. - ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundationin shade 1C0 shell - this is the foundation I've been most excited for bc of all the great reviews and how it's a holy grail for many. I have to say this one matches my skin tone the best and blends out very smoothly too. - HOURGLASS - Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stickin shade vanilla - this one's very pink and slightly darker than my skin tone, but that's ok, since I can use it for a light contour. Like I've said about lots of these is that they blend out smoothly, same w/this one Already had: - Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation in shade 140C - one of my faves - Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation in shade cloud - a little too light - Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation in shade seashell - slightly too dark but it's fine ✨✨PT 2 coming soon

Foundation Dupes, high end & its drugstore match
ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation is such an INCREDIBLE FOUNDATION, I would use this forever but at $52.00, i refuse to do so. Its drugstore dupe in my opinion is REVLON - Colorstay Full Cover Foundation its a close one although on the heavier side- as long as you know how to properly apply foundation you shouldnt be worried. And if you want good coverage to hide blemishes, this product is great! . NARS - All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation $60 for a foundation? i will pass! Love NARS as much as anyone else but thats way too much! The drugstore dupe for Nars foundation, to me at least is L'ORÉAL - Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Longwear Foundation and its $12.99 currently at ulta but ive seen it on amazon for $10 and i have no complaints- great coverage!!!

Purple Dreams ✨🌙💜
Hey Cherie Fam! 🍒 I have been doing a lot of reds/greens lately for the holiday season. If I’m not doing those colors, I’m doing neutrals. I just really wanted to play with some color today. I wanted color, but still a somewhat wearable look. I used my Lunar Beauty Moon Spell palette today and played with some duo chrome purples. The shimmers in this palette are incredible. I love the shade Phoebe and Prue! They really are mind blowing. They don’t have too many fall outs either. The browns in this palette are so buttery and pigmented. The shade Winifred blew me away because I expected it to be a light shade, but it packs so much punch. I really love the formula and I’m thinking about picking up the Strawberry 🍓 Dream palette 🤔 LUNAR BEAUTY - Moon Spell Color Palette To achieve this look, I used: • Winifred as a transition shade. I used a fluffy brush and used window wipe shield motions • Kiki to deepen up the winifred shade. I used a smaller and stiffer brush • I applied glitter glue to intensify the shimmer then applied Phoebe all over my lids • I applied Kiki on the outer V to soften up the edges from the lid shade • I applied Winifred then Kiki on the lower lash • With a wet brush, I applied Phoebe in the middle of Winifred and Kiki • I applied Prue on the inner corner and highlight • Winged liner, mascara then lashes. I used HOL in Natalia Lite HOUSE of LASHES - Natalia Lite •For the lips, I used Colourpop lip oil on skinny dip What is your favorite eyeshadow color? Xoxo, Francesca 💋

My GO-TO Foundations for Different Seasons
My GO-TO Foundations for Different Seasons
My skin always behaves differently during different times of the year due to changes in the climate. Therefore, in order to achieve a perfect base makeup at all times, I alternate between foundations with different textures and slightly different shades to accommodate my skin conditions.   My GO-TO foundation for summer: Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup SPF 30 ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup SPF 30 My skin tends to become extra oily in the summer and I hate to put on heavy base makeup that ends up melting anyways in the hot weather. After trials of many foundations, I have settled for this product because of its watery texture that feels very light on the skin, yet, surprisingly long-lasting finish. Although the coverage is only light to medium, I still love the finish of this foundation because it blends beautifully into the skin, allowing me to achieve that my-skin-but-better effect. It is also great for occasions where you just want to have a natural and radiant look. This is absolutely one of my favourite foundations that I would definitely repurchase! Not to mention it has SPF 30, perfect to block out the harsh sunlight during summer times.   My GO-TO foundation for seasonal changes: YSL Touche Éclat All-In-One Glow Foundation During seasonal changes, my skin would become dry and flaky, therefore, I always choose a hydrating foundation to prevent my base makeup from creasing and caking up. This product is my top pick because it is very hydrating and leaves a dewy finish that makes my skin look glowing and healthy. This foundation has a very unique texture: at first it is in a creamier texture but instantly turns watery when you spread it out, which feels very hydrating and refreshing. I am also truly impressed by its medium coverage given its thin texture! Most of the redness and blemishes on my face can be covered. However, the glow would highlight uneven skin texture, so I would not recommend it for people with this problem.

It’s a cult classic for a reason!
It’s a cult classic for a reason!
ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation This foundation has been my holy grail for years! I’ve been through so many bottles! It’s medium-to-high coverage and has a demi-matte finish. You have to set this foundation with a powder, otherwise it will crease into smile lines and smudge if you’re oily in your T zone! I wear the shade Ecru and it’s a touch light for my skin since I have self tanned. #cheriepartner

Best Foundation Ever 🙌🏻😻
Best Foundation Ever 🙌🏻😻
This is the best foundation ever... light-medium coverage with a glowy, satin finish. It looks like skin and it gets better as the day goes on!! It photographs beautifully, doesn’t look caked and it really just looks like you have angel, doll like skin. She’s pricey but oohhhh soo good! Such a winner if you like a glowy, lighter foundation that definitely looks glam. It works for day or night time! I wear this for pictures and special occasions/nights out or when my skin needs help! I also like to dilute it with a drop of oil if I want to wear it during the day! I have shade 5.5 which is too pink and light for me as well as shade 7.5 which is a tan, yellow shade so I just mix the 2 accordingly and it works. I find the shade range very random and tough! The numbers don’t necessarily go from lightest to darkest. ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundation

IL MAKIAGE — worth the hype?! Day 2
IL MAKIAGE — worth the hype?! Day 2
Okay, so today I tried the foundation alone. No blush, bronzer, highlight, setting powder, concealer, setting spray, etc. Just primer and foundation. Just to see how it this B works solo, ya feel?? Here are my thoughts: 🗣 She hella matte... like too matte for me (can kinda see on picture 2) 🗣 She definitely medium coverage 🗣 She feels natural 🗣 She still blends like a dream 🗣 She cannot conceal my blemishes (picture 2) 🗣 She still $44 😂 Still debating on keeping her or returning her. 🤔 Please share your thoughts below! How to get flawless base makeup in summer!!
How to get flawless base makeup in summer!!
What you’ll need: a foundation brush, a primer that is light and easy to blend, a high-coverage foundation and an oil control setting powder My pursuit for the base makeup: as I have an oily-combo skin type, I would like my base makeup to be long lasting and not easily ruined by the oil and sweat that I will inevitable have on my face during the day. Besides, I would especially suffer from acne in the hot humid summer, so it would also be better if my acnes could get perfectly covered. What I’ve used and my thoughts:  ·smashbox - Studio Skin Full Coverage 24 Hour Waterproof Foundation I love how this product provides full coverage and it could last a whole day, sometimes when I wear this foundation, as long as I moisturize well and set the foundation well, it still stays on place and give me an intact look after 9-10 hours. But the only problem with this foundation is that it tends to get dry quickly and it could be hard to blend. ·clé de peau BEAUTÉ - Correcting Cream Veil SPF 21 My go-to foundation when I pursue a natural and clean look. But these days it is not long-lasting enough and it could only provide light-to-medium coverage. So on important occasions, this alone is not enough. ·KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Lock-It Finishing Powder This is my holy grail setting powder, only that the cushion that comes with it is not good enough. So I’ve changed it with something else I bought from CVS. You could also just use your brush or sponge to apply this powder on your face. It just blurs out every single shine resulting from oil on one touch. And I always carry it with me in summer to save my from being too shiny… Steps to follow: 1. Moisturize well before you apply any foundation products. This is always a must for any base makeup to look good and last long. 2. Blend the primer and the foundation in the ratio of 1:1 on hand.  3. Use the brush to dip the mixture and apply them on your face. You could also opt for a beauty blender if you are in want of a more natural look 4. Use the setting powder to set your foundation carefully and thoroughly. And voila, here is a base makeup that provides high coverage and lasts long.

I like to think this foundation makes me look like a true Amazonian goddess. In reality it probably just helps me look like I’ve had enough sleep and enough water, but if that’s the best I can do right now, I’ll take it! Tarte is great at being eco friendly and using safe ingredients. They use no parabens, sulfates, mineral oil or gluten, as well as no triclosan, which I had to look up. (Triclosan is antibacterial and antimicrobial, but known as a hormone disrupted, similar to parabens). The packaging is cute and earthy and you get a decent amount for the price of $39. A bottle usually last me about 6 months. This foundation comes in 40 shades, which is way cool and seems to have warmth and cool variations from lightest to darkest. The texture is thick but fluffy and doesn’t seem to lay as heavy as some high coverage foundations. It does work well without a primer, which I would credit to the fluffiness being good at filling in wrinkles and scars, of which I have both, but not looking cakey. When I’m working I will easily wear this 12 hours straight and have a blow dryer blowing hot air back at me half the time, and somehow all my make up seems to stay put. I’m guessing because of the clay ingredient, it’s also amazing at soaking up oil as you go. tarte - Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15 #cheriecreator
