bareMinerals Original Mineral Veil powder!
I really wanted to love the bareMinerals - Mineral Veil Finishing Powder Broad Spectrum SPF 25
_Emme_05_I got the same powder, it honestly doesn’t help with anything. It has a TON on shimmer in it so you have to be VERY careful with the amount you use. I ordered some for my mom and she didn’t like it either, so then my sister tried it and she also didn’t like it. If you use a bit of it on a bare face then it might look better, especially on a more toned face. I am very pale so it just made me look like a white sun. 😔

First impression: very thick but very blendable! This is a FULL COVERAGE foundation, but when applied with a beauty blender, you can blend it out enough to be skin like. Great for all day wear, I’m a little shiny but nothing that can’t be fixed! No cracking or settling! I may not use this every single day, just because it’s so full coverage... but perfect for days I just need a little more :)

Worth the money?? 👀
I’ve seen tons and tons of reviews on this product and this price point $65!! I’m allowed to have insanely high expectations. This isn’t advertised as a mattifying product, it does claim to control oils in your T zone. It didn’t do that at all... I followed my regular makeup routine and used Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder instead of my regular MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder And I was pretty disappointed. I was an oily mess about 4 hours in ☹️ Texture wise, it’s finally milled and the packaging is obviously gorgeous. Mine is in the shade medium. It didn’t add any coverage and I used a fluffy brush to set over my T zone and under eye. To be fair, I did try this on one of the hottest days of summer. I’ll continue using this product and update this review if anything changes! As of now, I feel there’s tons of better options out there for much much less 😬

I recently got the morphe 2 hint hint skin tint. I was skeptical at first, but I really like it. It looks natural on your skin and evens it out. It isn’t a lot of coverage, but is very natural. One thing I would like to see in the future is more neutral shades. I couldn’t find a perfect match as mine is a little orange. I would suggest using a flat top foundation brush because I HATED the way it looks with my sponge. On the wrist swatches, the ones closest to my hand is the sponge and the one closest to my elbow is a brush.

BOBBI BROWN - Skin Foundation SPF 15 This foundation is very light coverage, but buildable! I love how “skin like” it feels and how it doesn’t turn to mush throughout the day! I wore this foundation all day at and around the beach and it never faulted. It’s definitely one that I recommend to anyone who needs a light, every day foundation!

BB Cream.. Blotchy & Bad-Blending?
This product came in my July Ipsy Bag. This Illuminating BB Cream with SPF came with my July Ipsy Bag and is unfortunately my least favourite item in the bag. :( pūrlisse - Radiant Glow Illuminating BB Cream SPF 30 It surprisingly gave me more coverage than I was expecting but did not blend well at all, using a primer beforehand & not using a primer. I love the fact it has the SPF 30, but maybe that’s the reason it isn’t blending? I wasn’t aware of the price of the cream (until I looked it up right now), and at $35, I will not be purchasing again. I probably wouldn’t buy it if it was cheaper either. My Maybelline Fit Me is still my staple foundation – smooth application and a light feeling with great coverage and price. MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation This product sample came in my $12 Ipsy Subscription, but will not be becoming a future staple in my collection. pūrlisse - Radiant Glow Illuminating BB Cream SPF 30

Makeup mistakes: choosing the wrong shade
I spent the longest time not really understanding (or caring) about makeup, especially when it came to choosing a face makeup product. I like very light coverage, but was having trouble finding something that suited me. I finally settled on It Cosmetics CC Cream. This is a rather full-coverage product as far as CC creams go. For the longest time I was wearing this product in a shade that was about two shades too dark for my natural skin tone. If I had just fake tanned it looked okay, but any other time it was WAY too dark, especially against my neck and chest. I was just really lazy and did not want to take the time to go to a store in-person and figure out which shade was right for me. Once I finally did, it was a total game changer. My whole face looked so much better, and my makeup looks were so much more natural. So the moral of the story is, take that extra time to find your correct shade! It makes all the difference! #CheriePartner
