what my SELF CARE SUNDAY looks like 🧚🏻♀️💅🏻
happy sunday everyone !!! sunday’s are the one day out of the week where I really go hard with self care and since it’s a sunday, I thought i’d share what mine consists of 🤗 wash my hair I wash my hair once a week and do this on sundays. ogx - Quenching Coconut Curls Shampoo ogx - Quenching Coconut Curls Conditioner ogx - Quenching Coconut Curls Curling Butter Leave In or Rinse Out I use these three in the shower and use the hair butter as a hair mask while I do all the other things in the shower. I love this product because my hair gets SUPER and i mean SUPER dry (hence washing it once a week), so this helps maintain my naturally wavy hair and keep it moisturised. I also use this product during the day too if I want to style my hair or it’s a little bit frizzy. face masks I love finishing the week with face masks ! I switch it up between AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay & PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Balancing Oil-Absorbing Mask it really just depends on what my skin needs on the day !! since these are clay masks, I like to use a sheet mask afterwards to restore moisture back into my skin, or I choose one depending again on what my skin needs! I have so many, and I love so many so can’t tag them all in here haha. paint my nails although I don’t always do this on sunday’s, if I feel like changing the colour or they are chipped I will do it sunday’s ! painting my nails makes me feel a little bit more put together and represents who I am ! cup of tea I do this most nights but I feel like cups of teas are such a sunday mood ! don’t you think? I love a green tea at night ☕️ 💫self care is different for every person to finish off their week. whether it is to do some exercise, meditate, cook, read, or simply just anything that helps you feel at peace and makes you happy, self care is super important 💫
My secrets for medium width hair
Hair width shows the thickness of the strands of the hair. it is very easy to determine hair width. You can take one piece of the hair from a brush and see it under the light. If the hair could be seen easily and looks wide, it is coarse hair. if you cannot see your hair clearly, it is fine hair. between coarse hair and fine hair is medium width hair. the strands of coarse hair are very wide, and it is the strongest hair among all hair types. Fine hair has a very small width, which means it is delicate. Medium hair is not very thick or thin. It is strong and elastic. I have medium width hair. it is the most common hair type and can cover scalp well. It can be controlled easily. The hair type looks thick and is not easily get damaged. To maintain the shine and health of medium width hair, there are few tips. One is limit heat styling. Always use heat styling tool can reduce the moisture of the hair and make hair drier and less manageable. The second tip is to apply a high-quality shampoo that can bring nutrition to the hair. I recommend one good shampoo, Ogx’s Quenching Coconut Curls Shampoo. I like this one because it contains natural ingredients, including coconut oil, honey and citrus oil. It feels really moisturizing after washing. The shampoo gets the hair clean and leaves it soft. It makes my hair to be less tangled and very shiny, bouncy and voluminous. My hair is hydrated and never feel dry after washing, and never feel oily or greasy. I use it with the conditioner. Both work well with each other to make my hair silky soft. Last but not least, when washing the hair, remember do not use very hot water. Using hot water may harm the hair and reduce the moisture of the hair.
The best kind of bum is a Sunbum 🌞
If you know me then you’ll know my absolute favorite scent ever...the smell of Sunbum products! They smell like the perfect beach day imaginable. Now onto the products (the fun part!!) Their Shampoo and Conditioner: super smoothing, conditioning, and nourishing. With ingredients such as coconut oil, banana, and sunflower seed oil- your hair will thank you for the purchase! Their lip balms: I’ve been a fan of their balms for YEARS- ever since I worked on the beach during summer. They’re nourishing, smell amazing, and have a wide array that actually have SPF 30 built into them which is perfect! From scents like coconut, watermelon, banana, mango, and the list goes on... there’s something to fit each persons mood and likes. Each lip balm also had vitamin E and Aloe built in. What are you waiting for?
This Shampoo & Conditioner Duo Does Wonders For My Fine Hair
If you have fine hair like me, you know the struggles. It gets tangled easily, greasy quicker, and it can be a pain to style. Most fine-haired gals will probably relate to feeling like you don't have enough hair or fly-aways happen to us way more often than those girls with super thick locks. Personally, my hair is fine but also curly/wavy. My biggest concerns are frizz, volume, and keeping my curls as hydrated as possible. Fine hair always tends to get 'dirty' faster than thick hair too. I notice the bottom of my strands feel dry, but my roots get greasy. My Favorite Shampoo & Conditioner For Fine Curly Hair: I'm a massive fan of the VERB Curl Shampoo + Conditioner. Each of two products rings in at $18 and has a light, grapefruit, and oatmeal scent. I think it's also important to note that these are cruelty-free and free of parabens, which is super important to me when I look for beauty products. The shampoo VERB - VERB Curl Shampoogently cleanses my fine, curly hair without stripping its natural moisture. I also notice it leaves my scalp feeling extra clean. The shampoo is made with Glycerin, Sunflower Seed Extract, and it's rich in fatty acids. I think these ingredients help my delicate coils feel less flat and frizzy. The conditionerVERB - VERB Curl Conditioner is what makes the duo great! I love that it's a nurturing, curl-defining conditioner. It makes my hair feel way more hydrated, and my lifeless, frizzy, fine coils look way more polished. After conditioning with the VERB Curl Conditioner, my hair feels so much softer and looks more voluminous because it defines my curl patterns. To get the most out of this awesome duo, I usually finish off my hair routine with the VERB Curl Cream to keep my hair looking its best.

Basic Hair Tips (Part 2)!
Hi everyone, I hope that the first post has helped some of you in your hair care journey! Here are some more tips! DO NOT OVERCLEAN YOUR HAIR. This is another hard reality for many people that have curls or coils. Remember how I previously mentioned that the production of bubbles does not mean that your hair is cleaner & that it’s stripping away your natural oils? Well, you also have to be careful to not over wash your hair because TOO MUCH SHAMPOO in your hair, regardless of whether they have sulfates or not, is BAD & DRIES your hair, which, in turn, causes your scalp to produce UNHEALTHY OIL to compensate for the dryness, making it harder for the hair TO STAY HEALTHY WITHOUT ITS NATURAL OILS & TO RETAIN THE MUCH NEEDED MOISTURE. How often you should wash your hair is IMPORTANT & also varies according to HAIR TYPE, so please take the time to do more in-depth research about this. I wash my hair 2 times a week. There are ways to maintain your hair clean without having to wash it EVERYDAY, it is not necessary. That being said, this is probably one of the MOST IMPORTANT TIPS: MOISTURE IS A CURLS’ BEST FRIEND. Having curls automatically means that we tend to have DRYER hair than people with straight hair. It’s science. The shape of our follicles makes it harder for the sebaceous glands to successfully release sebum to lubricate our hair. The more quenchness your hair has, then the more dry it TENDS to be. That doesn’t take away the beauty, it just means that we have to work extra by adding more moisture and shine to our hair. Be aware that level of extra moisture needed VARIES according to hair type and that even though our hair is dryer. ADDING PURE OILS are NOT the solution, CONDITIONER/MOISTURE IS! USE A PRE-SHAMPOO! I can honestly say that adding this step has made it so much SIMPLER to detangle and cleanse my hair. This helps ease prepare the hair for the actual wash, and that has also helped me reduce the amount of shampoo that I use, which is a bonus. I’ll be posting a set of products that are great in the near future, so be on the lookout! Hope this helps!
MY HOLY GRAILS FOR COARSE HAIR
I still haven’t gotten around to getting my hair cut after lockdown, and as a result my normally straight and smooth hair is feeling pretty coarse, especially the ends. Here are some products that I’ve found help make my hair look and feel much better! Mise En Scene Perfect Repair Hair Serum This oil and silicone-based hair serum comes in a pump bottle that dispenses the perfect amount of serum for my hair. I usually apply 1 to 1 ½ pumps of hair serum, any more than that and it can weigh my hair down. It contains a mix of plant oils including: Argan, Camellia, Coconut, Apricot, Marula, Jojoba, and Olive Oil. My tip for this product is to apply it to slightly damp hair, then blow dry for maximum shine and smoothness. It has a floral smell (which I love) and a single bottle seems to last a really, really long time.I bought mine in Korea in January this year and I’m barely a quarter of the way through it now, so it will last me a while! L’Oreal Elvive/Elseve Extraordinary Oil Conditioner A good conditioner helps smooth coarse hair, too. This one also has a lot of plant oils to condition hair and make it smooth and silky. It also has a floral yet sweet scent that I love—I love nice-smelling hair care, okay?! I apply a pretty generous amount to my lengths and ends of hair (never roots, that’s how you get greasy flat roots). I’ve actually repurchased this many times before and I’ll continue to buy it (until I get bored of the scent, that is…) Both of these are affordable, drugstore picks that I’d happily recommend to anyone that’s looking for great hair care that smooths down coarse hair.
I've tried a sulfate free shampoo, and I was surprised by the result!😱
SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo$10 I was looking for a sulfate free shampoo and lastly I find out this wonderful stuff, and it's work very well on my hair type. So far, this is the best moisturizing shampoo I have EVER tried. My hair that is easily oily at the scalp, straight, very thick and very long, so I don't need a super moisturizing shampoo and this is juuuust right. I think any more moisture or oil would be too much and I dont think I will try a more moisturizing shampoo than this one. My hair does feel extremely soft and silky but not as airy, bouncy clean like the others. Does not make my scalp oily though; it is so gentle and soft in cleansing and there is no sulfates. I should only use this if I washed my hair already the same say or with a deeper cleaning shampoo the day before. I could NOT wash my hair with this shampoo when my hair has a pre-treatment(similar to what the reviewer below me stated) or very oily to start off with. The texture, smell and easy lather altogether is tropically divine! The smell alone makes me happy to use this(smells like a pineapples). The ingredients look pretty natural and exotic. If you are looking for a soft&gentle cleansing, VERY moisturizing shampoo: This is the best so far and while it is not the cheapest, it is not salon priced. SheaMoisture keeps impressing me with their haircare. Would buy again!
SheaMoisture-Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo
𝗔𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗿 & 𝗙𝗶𝗴
This shampoo is so lathery. A little goes a long way and it cleans the scalp extremely well. I’ve been using Acure shampoos and conditioners for a whole year and a half now and my hair just thrives with it. If you’re looking for a shampoo that’ll give your hair a healthy shine without harsh chemicals I would give this brand a try :) and it’s curly girl method safe ;) The only thing I would say that makes this bad is the fragrance. It’s not super strong but it is fake fragrance, which is most times bad for us. It doesn’t take any type of effect on my hair specifically, but you probably won’t care anyways if you already use scented shampoos :) ACURE - Body Beautiful Shampoo, Pear & Fig

My hair has become softer than ever in my life since I’ve been using these products. Not enticements here, I also recommend a satin sleep cap!#TEK - Hairbrush[products]#[FiveStars] function of beauty - Custom shampoo + conditioner
