I tried the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser and OMG it made my face so clean even though it was so dirty and gross!! I didn't even exfoliate or use a washcloth, just my fingers and lathered it. It lathers really well and feels so good on the skin. Great for sensitive skin and also it actually smells like spinach! TOTALLY WORTH IT!! NEW HOLY GRAIL ! 😍😍 I got it in the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Protect the Planet: 5 Refillable Glass Minis set and it's so worth it! YTTP has become so popular and this set is perfect for testing it out. **I used a filter so that's why it looks weirdly colored hahaha
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE-Protect the Planet: 5 Refillable Glass Minis
I picked up the shades 125, 140, 350, and 799 of the L'ORÉAL - Colour Riche Lipcolour from Target because I got the shade 129 first and they're awesome, so I had to get more. Pros: - Affordable ($6 each) - Wide variety of colors - Pigmented enough that it's not too bad - I like the design of the lids / covers, like how they aren't too big and it's easy to know how they're supposed to go on because there's a notch on one side, which is the back & how they're gold!! (unlike the MAYBELLINE - Color Sensational Lipcolorwhich have long lid/cover things and that's annoying to me) - Very smooth and soft consistency - Smell nice and not like chemicals Cons: - Don't stay as long as I'd hoped - like matte lipsticks, but since these are very creamy, they're not expected to stay forever but that's ok - In between a lip stain and a lip stick - I wish they were more pigmented but that kinda depends on the color tbh (like bright red vs a light pink or light tan)
MAYBELLINE-Color Sensational Lipcolor
Maybelline color sensational lipstick!!
I picked up the shade 144 naked dare of the MAYBELLINE - Color Sensational Lipcolor (it's listed as color sensational cremes lipstick and I got it for $5.59) from Target and I already have shade 920 nude lust and love it, so I decided to get another one. I heard about this shade on Laura Lee's channel and how it's her go-to drugstore lipstick. Honestly, I'm impressed and there's nothing really wrong with it. Also, it's thicker and more pigmented than the buffs collection, so I'm more impressed with it, the only problem I have is that it's easy to apply a lot and I find that it's really good if you want an ombre nude lip!! 5/5 because it's worth it for $5.59!! 😍

Ok I love this lotion !! flamingo - flamingo Daily Moisturizing Lotion I got it in my Cherie creator box along with the flamingo - Light Hydrating Sprayand flamingo - flamingo Deep Nourishing Cream. I love how all three products compliment each other, because the hydrating spray is good for large areas, the daily lotion is good for hands and dry spots, and the cream is good for areas needing lots of moisture. Also, I feel that this lotion is good for sleep and/or relaxation - I've had the Bath and Body Works lavender and chamomile lotion for a few years now and used it up, and this lotion has that aromatherapy kind of sense to it. Pros: - Absorbs fast - and I mean it!! It's nice because you don't have to keep rubbing it in - Awesome scent (same as the flamingo - Light Hydrating Spray - Affordable (only $8 for 10 oz) - Key ingredients are squalane for hydration, white willow bark for gentle exfoliation (it's a slight coarseness but not much too notice, it's like a lotion that's not completely smooth), and papaya extract for brightening Cons: - none! I love this product!!
flamingo-Light Hydrating Spray
Overhyped and just 'ok'
These are two samples of the TATCHA - The Water Cream and I give it three stars because I'm not super impressed by it. Here's why: - I felt like I had to use a lot because I have combo skin of dry and oily - Made my skin smooth, which is good - I had some redness/irritation from it - I don't like the thin formula for nighttime (which is when I wash my face and do my full routine) I like thick ones for nighttime - Could be good for daytime routine under sunscreen
TATCHA-The Water Cream
No more wasting time putting on lotion!
I absolutely love this flamingo - Light Hydrating Spray that I got from @cherie in my creator box. It saves me so much time!! Also, perfect timing because the air is getting drier and it's soon time to apply lotion or body creams all over. That literally takes 5-10 minutes and this spray takes literally 1 minute. Yes, you have to lather it a little bit but no more using your hands to apply it everywhere, because the spray does that. Also, I'm in love with the smell of it, because it's woodsy, herbal, and has notes of florals and it's also the same smell as theflamingo - flamingo Daily Moisturizing Lotion. If you have them you know what I mean. The scents of these products are very specific. Overall, awesome product!! Totally worth it and will repurchase when I run out in thd future bc it's only $10!!

TOP SKINCARE INGREDIENTS TO AVOID 🚫
The more you know!! Here are some skincare ingredients to avoid according to odacite.com ❌ “ALUMINUM Toxic metal that can have oestrogen-like effects in our systems, disrupting the healthy functioning of the endocrine system. Usually found in almost every personal care product, especially antiperspirant deodorants. ❌DEA (diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine), and TEA (triethanolamine) Clear, colorless, viscous liquids with ammonia-like odors. Usually found in products that foam like facial cleansers and soaps. They are also found in eye makeup , fragrances, hair products, and sunscreens. ❌DMDM HYDANTOIN & UREA (Imidazolidinyl) Preservatives that often release formaldehyde which may cause joint pain, skin allergies, headaches, and loss of sleep. Usually found in skincare products, cosmetics, shampoos and conditioners, and detergents. ❌MINERAL OIL A petroleum by-product that coats the skin like plastic, clogging its pores. This is incredibly harmful because it interferes with skin’s ability to eliminate toxins, therefore increasing likelihood of acne and other disorders. Usually found in creams, lotions, ointments, and cosmetics. ❌PARABENS (Methyl, Butyl, Ethyl, Propyl) Not always labeled, used as preservatives, and may contribute to hormone imbalance. Usually found almost everywhere including skincare products such as moisturizers and deodorants. ❌PEG (Polyethylene glycol) Ingredient that can alter and reduce the skin’s natural moisture factor. It adjusts the melting point and thickens products. Usually found in cleansers to dissolve oil and grease. ❌PHTHALATES Chemicals used to increase flexibility and strength of plastics, and not often listed among the ingredients on products. Usually found in cosmetics such as fragrance oils and listed under the term “fragrance". ❌PROPYLENE GLYCOL (PG) & BUTYLENE GLYCOL Gaseous hydrocarbons which in a liquid state act as “surfactant”. They penetrate the skin so quickly and can weaken the protein and cellular structure. Usually used to make extracts from herbs. ❌SILOXANES Look for ingredients ending in "-siloxane" or "-methicone." Used in a variety of cosmetics to soften, smooth and moisten. Suspected endocrine disrupter and reproductive toxicant (cyclotetrasiloxane). Harmful to fish and other wildlife. ❌SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE (SLS) & SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE (SLES) Detergent that makes products foam, lather, and bubble. Usually found in 90% of personal-care products that foam! ❌SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCES Anything that is synthetic or artificial should always raise a red flag. These are made up of hundreds to thousands of different ingredients not listed on the label, so you are never sure what you are actually being exposed to. Usually found in cosmetic and skincare products but also many household products such as candles, air fresheners, and scented trash bags aluminum” I can’t believe skincare/cosmetic companies are still using these ingredients in their products when there’s so much research on why we should be avoiding said products. Thoughts 💭
Do You Have Blackheads or Sebaceous Filaments?
I’ve seen a lot of post where people confuse the two. Sebaceous Filaments: What are they? Your skin does a lot of things that many people don’t know. One of them is oil control and keeping the skin balanced. Sebum is a natural oil that keeps your skin naturally moisturized. They are NORMAL. Annoying, but normal. Have your ever squeezed your nose and seen white or tinted yellow substance come out? That’s stuff is collected sebum and dead skin cells that has cooped up in your pores. You can treat this with a pore strip or getting them professionally extracted. 9/10 they will come back, unless you get your oil secretions under control. I recommend a chemical peel or salicylic acid. Also adding a great double cleansing routine will help tremendously! Blackheads What are they ? They are a form of acne. Better yet known as an open comedone. Blackheads can be caused by various factors: environment, oil, diet, hormones. And even medications. These contain bacteria which has clogged up your pores. Blackheads should be treated professionally or with a retinoid (most effective). DO NOT PICK AT HOME. What I wish I had known!!
If I could go back to my 20’s one of the biggest changes I would make is I would have started taking care of my skin much much earlier 😩 Learn from my mistakes and if you are in your 20’s , read on! Most Dermatologists say that by your 20th birthday (Yep! Not a joke!) you should start thinking about combating the causes of aging. Smile lines, wrinkles, saggy and dull skin.... THE HORROR !!!! External factors that are aging us faster and at younger ages, including pollution, visible light and even irritants often from the multiplicity of products we are 'experimenting' with, which leads to irritation and in turn to collagen breakdown among other unwanted skin aging changes.😩😩 The NUMBER ONE BEST ANTI-AGING PRODUCT is SUNSCREEN!! Use an spf that also includes blueprint protection. Yeah our phones and computers do us dirty too! And your makeup with spf unfortunately doesn’t work. Do not skip this. Every single day! You’ll be so glad you didn’t! Focus on protecting your skin in your 20’s. That way you don’t have to try so hard when you hit your 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s to reverse all the damage. Use products with antioxidants! If you’re already seeing signs of hyperpigmentation, sun spots, and freckling, the American Academy of Dermatology says that microdermabrasion can be an effective treatment, especially when used along with a chemical peel. (Not at the same time.) Don’t go to sleep without washing your face and at least using a moisturizer. Sleeping in your makeup can cause breakouts and also expose your skin to free radicals. Moisturize!!! Dry skin can speed up the aging process. Using a night cream with Retinol will help build the collagen you are already losing and prevent wrinkles. Eat well, stay hydrated, and be GENTLE with your skin. The way you rub or stretch your skin can influence your skin’s texture and wrinkles. Rubbing and pulling at the skin around your eyes reduces its delicate elasticity. Remember this when you are applying makeup, taking it off, and trying all the new trend products on your face. If you are in your 20’s and on this app, you are already way ahead of where I was! Take my advice and treat your skin well now. You’ll thank me later ❤️
