getting off makeup and clear skin with rosacea!
okay... so I know I've posted this before, and Cherie is (devastatingly) closing down, but I thought I'd share one last post. This really works. one is a prescription and there are a couple items missing, so I'll add them to the pictures. Here is the order they say to put on skincare (as depicted) 1) makeup remover/wash (I use Queen Helene cold cream that I SWEAR by, sometimes BURT’S BEES - BURT‘S BEES Sensitive Facial Cleanser ) 2) Facewash/second face wash (I use DERMA•E - Sensitive Skin Cleanser and Joeseph anti Acne soap 10% sulfur) 3) Toner (I use THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner ) 4) Serums (I use a few... my prescription Amzeeq, mostly The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% , and DERMA•E - Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum ) 5) Spot Treatments (Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment , tea tree oil when needed) 6) Eye Cream (not pictured - DERMA•E - Firming DMAE Eye Lift Cream ) 7) Moisturizer (2 different kinds depending on how dry I am- pictured: Alba Botanica Aloe Green tea moisturizer, not pictured: skinfix - Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream ) 8) Retinol: Now, because I have rosacea, I use a retinol alternative. The best one for sensitive skin I found is The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion use at night only) 9) Face Oil: HEAR ME OUT: If you have oily skin, it's not the WORST thing to use an oil. As a matter of fact, it may work well. BEST ONE BY FAR IS ROSEHIP OIL. I can't tell you how amazing it is The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , and JOSIE MARAN - Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment during the day) wear sunscreen during the day, and put it in place of retinol. I use Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen it's a great light moisturizer, too. And at night in the winter if it's super dry, I'll put petroleum jelly around the corners of my eyes and lips. The results don't lie, Cherie babes (: comment below I'd you know of a better eye cream.
Empties - will I repurchase?
I complied them all together, my empties over the last few months, and will split into two posts. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads I love these for the convenience. They are daily treatments pads with lactic and glycolic acids to safely exfoliate the skin, helping it appear brighter and approve texture. I was able to use these daily if I wished but being I use a retinol I didn’t use them on the night I would use my retinol. For me, they didn’t pack enough punch. I’ve been using a lot one my face over the last few years and while I still have to be careful, I find there are products that just don’t do it for me. These would be great for beginners or those with sensitive skin. 60 pads for $34 - again I liked the convenience but I feel you get more bang for your buck with a liquid exfoliate cause I sure get more then 60 uses out of mine. ⭐️No-repurchase CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Solution Set I’ve reviewed this before so I am not going to go into details. Please check my page if you’re looking for more info on it. I really do love the serum but I find I like the results I get from using a vitamin c and exfoliating. I need more than just a brightening solution as I have some scaring. The serum in this set is so very good for its brightening abilities. I went through three sets before giving it up. I do notice my face is not as glowy but I’m not sure if that’s from me being a bit more lazy with my skincare routine or from missing this. We’ll see. ⭐️Possible- repurchase YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi Not my favorite but is a good moisturizer. I’ve also reviewed this before. I prefer their Superfood Whip Moisturizer over this as I just like the texture and it’s a great daytime moisturizer for me. More in-depth review on my page ⭐️No-repurchase YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial I’ve reviewed this twice now so please see my page. Thais will be a forever purchase as of now! Definitely a fave of mine. I use once a week. ⭐️ repurchase YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask same as the last. I’ve purchased three so far. My favorite night time moisturizer. More in-depth reviews on my page ⭐️repurchase Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum this formula has changed as it had an ingredient that was bad. I have went through 3 original minis and loved the results but won’t repurchase due to the formula change. I saw almost instant results in spots being lifted. I have now switched to their Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment and it works just as good. I’m continuing to work on stubborn acne spots and when I am consistent with this and exfoliating, my scars and spots are almost invisible! ⭐️repurchase Invisiscar ❤️🍒
Love/Hate a Relationship with Medical Grade
My love/hate relationship with medical-grade products! 👀 💗 Do you know when you find the ultimate skincare product that could solve all of your skin's issues? Well, it's product was that promise to me, until it wasn't. I don't want to turn this into a bashing of this lovely product, because overall this is a fantastic medical-grade skincare brand that I adore. However, despite many reviews advising against the product due to its smell, the research behind the ingredients hooked me, so I ordered it. Patiently, I waited for the product to arrive -- almost counting the days. Finally, I was going to put my skincare worries in the past and move back again to beautiful, clear skin. Then, it happened. I cheerfully pumped one dollop-size onto my hands as I was going through my skincare routine, and there it was, the thing some reviewers warmed me from -- the scent. 😩 Many medical-grade products don't have the lovely scents your OTC products have. But, this one, in particular, had this pool chlorine smell that was almost nauseating. 🤢 For a moment, I decided to power through the scent, hoping it will fade away -- it didn't. However, in the name of clear skin and my love for skincare, I was determined to make this product work. 🤜 For about a week, I religiously applied this product every night, holding my breath while doing so, and following up with an intense scented moisturized to mask the scent from the serum. 🤪 Everything else, the texture, the color, the bottle, the pump was perfect -- but the pool chemical scent was enough to kill me. Then, it hit me. Is it worth it to hold my breath while applying a serum? NO! My skincare routine is my "me time," the way I unwind after a long and stressful day; it's my form of night meditation. I struggled with the fact of returning a product that could potentially save my skin, but in the end, my routine and my pampering won. So, I returned it. Maybe I'll have a better look at the OTC version of this serum. In the meantime, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a revised formula with a better scent. Have you ever loved/hated a product? Tell me about your story below! 👇
Osmosis Beauty-Rescue - Epidermal Repair Serum
Best serum for micro-needling
One of the best serums I have used for the skin, it gives the skin its freshness .I bought this item for micro-needling at home because it is pure with simple ingredients and reasonable price . Great product ,absorbs quickly into the skin with light texture .Can use for AM &PM . It match well with make up on top.Special can use for oily skin. Give moisture inside the skin without any oily shiny. I always feel refreshing after every use.
SPA IN A BOTTLE YOUTHFUL GLOW SERUM: This serum is AMAZING for acne scars and dark spots. It’s more like an oil than a serum but it’s great for oily skin as well. The only problem is that this is only available in Pakistan since spa in a bottle is a Pakistani brand but if you can get it it’s AMAZING!!!!
YSL Pure Shot Serum
You’ve most likely seen this serum everywhere by now, but here it is one more time 😂 #YSLBeautygiftedme their new Light Up serum. I was beyond excited to try it out, since I already love YSL makeup products, so I thought skincare would be just as good. First, as always, I’m gonna start with the positive. The texture and feel of the serum are both really luxurious. It’s really creamy, but not heavy at all and sinks in quickly. It feels hydrating and layers well under light or heavy moisturizer. Now, onto the not so good. This serum has a strong fragrance that you can feel as soon as you pump out the serum. It’s really off-putting, but thankfully goes away a minute after applying it to the face. Another thing is the ingredients list; it’s not too impressive. At the top of it are few silicones, which can cause breakouts for acne prone skin, as well as a fragrance in the bottom, which can make the skin be allergic to fragrance after long usage. In general, the ingredients list is just isn’t impressive and in my opinion not worth the $88 price tag. . Overall, to me, this serum is nothing special. There are many better options for fraction of the price. . Gifted
This Hungarian spa brand Omorovicza came into my life about five years ago & I’ve been obsessed ever since. The mineral rich Hungarian thermal waters are bio-fermented to make it easily absorbed by the skin. The thermal water has a patented delivery system called the Healing Concentrate. This is at the core of all their products I have many favorites by the brand as their stuff just works so well for my skin. All of their masks are phenomenal—The Blue Diamond Resurfacing Peel is a must. A non drying lactic acid that works wonders. I’m sadly out & need more. The Copper Peel is a quick pick me up. It’s a two step/two minute peel with sage oil, copper & lactic acid. Silver Savior is great for breakouts & similar in texture to the Blue Diamond Peel but it’s got glycolic & salicylic acid with silver. The Midnight Radiance Peel is great as a leave on overnight treatment. It reduced blemishes overnight for me. Deep Cleansing Mask is my all time favorite detox mud mask. Never drying & this baby works wonders. Acid Fix, Daily Vitamin C & the Blue Diamond Concentrate are my favorite serums. The Queen of Hungary Mist is a favorite as I love the super fine mist & orange blossom scent. Elemental Emulsion is the best lightweight hydrating fluid & I also quite enjoy the Balancing Moisturizer & Intensive Hydralifting Cream. All three of their eye creams are good but the Blue Diamond is my favorite. It lifts and firms. Gold Rescue gives you some retinol & the Reviving Eye Cream is great for day as it’s lightweight I love the instant pep up I get from the Oxygen Booster. The Omoressence is also really good. So lightweight & easy to layer (I’m out of both so not pictured). The Cashmere Cleanser is a dreamy cream cleanser while the Hydra Melting Cleanser is one of my favorite gel-oil balms. Both are great ways to wake up and never dry your skin.
