Aesop’s Fabulous Face Oil!
Aesop, a skin and hair care company based in Australia, had been taking the skincare world by storm recently. Most of us love to try out products, but before you drop a buck you should know exactly what a product does and how it does it. What about one of Aesop’s most popular products, Aesop - Fabulous Face Oil? Although this product isn’t sold at Sephora or Ulta, it is sold on a lot of lesser-known beauty sites and stores, such as Nordstrom and of course, Amazon. I don’t know about you, but Amazon is pretty much my one-stop-shop. The face oil claims to purify and balance the skin for a clearer and more glowy complexion. Use in the morning and at night after cleansing and toning; you should only use 3-5 drops by rubbing it in gently to your clean face until all of the product has seeped into your pores. It smells like botanicals, a very light and floral smell, and the texture is a lightweight oil; think tanning oil without the sun and the tan! The price is a little bit on the steep side at $57 on the company’s website, but there a lot of raving reviews about how well the product works. On Nordstrom.com, the product is rated 5 full stars by people of all skin types. The key ingredients, Juniper Berry, Ylang Ylang, and Jasmine Petal, all do separate duties that synchronize for a perfect face oil. I have definitely never found a face oil that has really helped me, so I think this would be great for me too! Juniper berry is a natural pH balance stabilizer, which helps remove acne scarring and dark spots. It also has very strong antibacterial and antifungal properties, which helps people with bacterial acne and fungal acne. Many people struggle with fungal acne, so look into products with juniper berry, like Aesop’s Fabulous Face Oil!Ylang ylang is an aromatic plant found in India and Malaysia and is commonly used in perfumes and skincare alike. Ylang ylang is known to speed up the regenerative healing process of the skin, which may help acne and other blemishes fade away naturally and quickly. The smell is commonly used in aromatic therapy to calm and relax; it is also frequently used as a gentle cleanser to promote natural healing.Lastly, jasmine petals. The jasmine petal is the flower of the jasmine plant, which is native to Eurasia and Oceania. Jasmine is frequently used in perfume for the extremely beautiful floral smell but is also used in skincare to moisturize. Many moisturizers are very heavy and will clog pores, but jasmine is a naturally hydrating flower that is light and won’t clog any pores. Additionally, jasmine is used in anti-aging skincare as it may help remove age spots and scarring. If you have some acne scarring, dark spots, or hyperpigmentation, this product is for you! On top of reducing spots, this product smells like a dream and has raving reviews. If you’re able to spend $57, do it! It’s an investment into the beautiful skin you’ve always dreamed of.
💫AESOP Product reviews 💫
I tried out a couple products from this brand recently! AESOP is an Australian based company that takes a lot of pride in hand selecting their ingredients. Here is what I tried and my review! My skin type: sensitive, dehydrated and currently very acne prone. 1st things 1st! Just because someone works somewhere and gives you advice doesn’t mean they’re right! Do you research! Aesop - Fabulous Face Oil Very expensive 75$ Product smells amazing, feels great on skin, was horrible for my skin type because of the acne I’m experiencing Would recommend for someone with dry skin Aesop - Tea Tree Leaf Facial Exfoliant THE BEST OF THE BUNCH I’ve struggled for a long time to find a good exfoliant that was gentle enough for my skin type but intense enough to actually exfoliate. This is a powder you can add to any face wash, even though it’s a physical exfoliant it’s very gentle and small so it won’t leave micro tares Aesop - Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Oil Very expensive 90$ I wouldn’t buy it again because I don’t think it’s worth the $$. It’s a nice product, feels great on skin, smells great but again it’s not like my skin was AMAZING CANT LIVE WITHOUT IT. Aesop - B & Tea Balancing Toner Nice product, not severely expensive but you can definitely find something similar for cheaper. Aesop - Seeking Silence Facial Hydrator Also my fav from this haul! This is my current moisturizer and I would buy this again! Water based, light in texture and smells nice. OVERALL It’s a beautiful and expensive brand. Products smell great and feel luxurious. Some items are totally worth the cop and others really not. Ask for tons of samples when you go!
Blackheads to be GONE in 1 month!!!
My skin is SUPER oily. We all know that people who have oily skin are more vulnerable to blackheads. They form when pores are clogged by a combination of dead skin cells and serum. Blackheads have open surfaces, which creates oxidation that is dark. Blackheads used to trouble me for a long time until I found an amazing blackhead remover combo! I've been using these 3 babes for 1 month and finally found the blackheads are GONE! 1. Chemical peels to dissolve oil 2 to 3 times a week STRIDEX - Daily Care Acne Pads with Salicylic Acid, Sensitive with Aloe It's great at dissolving grease and this acne pad is really convenient. Salicylic acid breaks down the materials that clog your pores such as excess oil and dead skin cells. Use one pad each time to wipe your entire face or just apply it on your pimples. 2. Apply the cleansing mask once a week Aesop - Primrose Facial Cleansing Masque I've used Kiehl's - Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque, Swisse - Skincare, Manuka Honey Cleansing Clay Maskand ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores before but I still think that Aesop cleanses my pores the best. This cleansing masque from Aesop is a clarifying, clay-based formulation which contains vitamin E, primrose, sage and other plant ingredients. It provides deep cleansing and sterilization effects, is anti-inflammatory, and it even minimizes pores. The delicate clay spreads smoothly on the skin and can be washed off after 15 minutes, leaving the skin clean and soft. 3. Remove blackheads once every half month MARIO BADESCU - Silver Powder The silver powder contains ingredients like Kaolin and Zinc Oxide, which help purify pores and debris. Apply it to dissolve and extract whiteheads and blackheads, then use a blackhead remover tool to scrape off the blackheads. Pro Tips: Mix just a few drops of water with the silver powder or else it will become too watery.Wash the silver powder off with a facial cleanser before scraping the blackheads for better resultsuse the Triple Action Acne Pads to shrink pores and for double cleansing! If you have any questions or suggestions hmu 😘💖‼️

Best Aesop products for this Summer
It’s that time of the year again and our skin knows it, humid weather and hot temperatures affect our skin’s appearance and sadly, not always for the better. That’s why we need to change our skin care routine to an appropriate one that can keep up with this weather. Today I will talk about a very popular brand which you may have heard of before, Aesop. And also, some of their fan-favorite products that are ideal for this season. Aesop is an Australian cosmetic brand established in 1987, and it’s been quite popular for the last years thanks to its approach to skincare beauty in which they fusion traditional Botanics extracted from natural herbs and science. They have become a very popular brands not only because of the high quality of their products, but also because of the packaging’s design and their whole philosophy behind it. Their containers have a minimalistic style, are fully recyclable, thinking of the environmental impact first. Another reason why customers love shopping this brand is because of how unique their stores are. There aren’t 2 Aesop stores that look alike! I didn’t believe it at first until I did some research and looked at pictures online of different locations. Their philosophy of achieving harmony goes truly beyond their products and it can be seen just by the aesthetic, art and architecture in their stores. When you visit a store, it’s like a sensorial experience in a way, not to mention a perfect Instagrammable spot for nice pictures. Aesop - B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel Because of sun exposure our skin can look and feel more dry than usual. That’s why this balancing gel is great moisturizer option thanks to its ingredients like antioxidants, vitamin B and vitamin C. It is completely safe for all types of skin including sensitive and acne-prone skins. It has a very thick texture, almost like honey but surprisingly is absorbed really quickly by the skin. It doesn’t leave the area sticky and instead leaves it fully hydrated with a matte finish, which is a plus! So if you suffer from oily skin it will control that extra shiny and big pores that many people struggle to get rid of. Many customers have also mentioned that it made acne scars appear lighter over time. Another great plus that makes this gel a Summer ally is that it works wonders as a quick cure for sunburns. Simply apply it every morning after doing your regular face cleansing routine. Like we mentioned, its consistency is quite thick so make sure to apply small amounts at a time and spread it evenly throughout your cheeks, chin, neck, and forehead. Aesop - Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste Once your face is getting enough hydration thanks to the balancing gel we just mentioned, it’s time to take care of the outer layer of our skin and do something about the dead cells that tend to increase for some people, especially those with dry skin and combination skin. Nothing helps more than a proper exfoliation with the right ingredients. This paste will do the job! It’s boosted with botanicals like Rosemary leaf and Rosehip that will make sure your skin is soothed. This cream formula is boosted with a very unique ingredient that is rarely seen in other products; I’m talking about quartz! You read it correctly, this paste is enhanced by extremely tiny quartz that will remove any dead skin and impurities and lactic acid will leave it smooth and soft, so it’s not an aggressive exfoliation. To apply it simply put some paste on your palm and massage your face and areas you want without applying too much pressure, after a few seconds just rise the remaining cream with lukewarm water. Your skin will look revitalized and like new ready for this Summer!
Recommended Face Scrubs by Aesop
With a cult global following, Aesop is an antioxidant, plant-based botanical skin and body care brand. I love how the Australian brand takes a holistic approach to skincare, and its aromatic formulations definitely helps me keep a mindful and balanced lifestyle, especially in unique times that we are in today. For my combination skin, exfoliation and face scrubs are particularly important in my skincare routine. Two of my favorite scrubs are from the Aesop line. In a beautiful minimalist tube packaging, the Aesop - Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste is a cream-based cleansing formulation enhanced with fine quartz and lactic acid to slough away dead skin cells and soften the skin. It is suitable for my combination skin, especially on my cheeks which can feel extra dry on certain days. The fine quartz particles in the formula may seem larger than usual scrubs but it is super effective to detoxifying the skin cells effectively yet gently at the same time. Its herbaceous, floral, earthy fragrance relaxes me immediately, and helps me wind down at the end of the day. To use: dispense into palm then massage gently over face and neck, applying minimal pressure. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. The second scrub I recommend from the brand is theAesop - Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque. The Parsley Seed range of products is my absolute favorite for my combination/ dry skin, especially during harsh winters. The scrub is a clay-based formulation that affords my skin a deep cleanse, it is yet gentle and nourishing at the same time thanks to aloe vera and botanical extracts in the formula. Unlike the exfoliant paste which I can use more frequently, the stronger cleansing masque is suitable for use twice weekly only. To use: apply a layer to freshly cleansed and exfoliated skin. Leave for up to fifteen minutes, then rinse off wth warm water. The distinct scent is something I look forward to as well.
TRUTH OR SPOOF: ARE THESE INGREDIENTS HARMFUL?
I have heard so many things about ingredients we should watch out for when selecting a product but before forming an opinion on what I see in click-bate media I always do my homework to seperate the truth from the spoofs! Myth: Alcohol is bad for your skin! While there are alcohols that can dry out your skin and ultimately cause more harm than good there are types of alcohols that can benefit your skin in many ways. There are naturally derived alcohols that rich in healthy fats: ❤️ cetyl alcohol made from coconut oil ❤️ stearyl alcohol which is made from coconut or vegetable oil These types of alcohols help build your skins protective barrier and lock in moisture to your skin. These alcohols should not be confused with unnatural alcohols that have short term effects on the skin. Unnatural alcohols may seemingly help someone with oily skin at first but can weaken your skins protective barrier and strip your skin of moisture. Alcohols you should stay away from: ❌ ethanol ❌ isopropyl alcohol ❌ alcohol denat. Myth: Physical exfoliants are bad for your skin! Physical exfoliants often get a bad wrap but depending on your skin type they can really help to cleanse your pores and remove dry skin patches. Many people exfoliate too often which can be harmful to your skin. 3 times a week or less! Physical exfoliants should not be used by people that have dry or sensitive skin but people with normal to oily skin can benefit from the right types of physical exfoliants. Best types of grounds: ❤️ Walnut Shell Powder ❤️ Jojoba beads ❤️ Sugar There are exfoliants that can be super harsh even for people with oilier skin and they are ones with unnatural grounds. These types of exfoliants can cause micro-tears in your skin which can ultimately worsen your skin condition. Grounds to stay away from: ❌ Plastic beads or balls We can’t know for sure how any product will effect our skin before we use it but researching using credible sources and consulting with your dermatologist before using a new product can save you a lot of time, money and pain.
bye-bye blackheads (this is a great combo)
Olehenriksen: (Balance Combo) •PORE-BALANCE FACIAL SAUNA SCRUB •COLD PLUNGE PORE MASK •These products are from the Balance line from Olehenriksen. They are marketed as products that will clean out the pores and then tighten them so they stay clean. •These two products are targeted towards pores, blackheads, clogged skin, and uneven/dull texture. HONESTY: I just picked these up not long ago and have only tried the combo once. I definitely noticed a difference on my nose where I typically get a lot of blackheads. They’re was a noticeable change and a lot less clogged pores. Also, my pores appeared smaller from the Pore Mask! •I like this combo because the scrub cleans out my pores when i’m in the shower and then the application of the mask when I get out of the shower seals my pores closed, which keeps them clear for longer. I love the minty smell of these as well! •I would definitely trying this out if you have clogged pores and sensitive or combo skin. These worked great for me and match well for my skin type. Also, you can purchase these in the Balance Babies set, which is $42 and comes with 4 products (which I feel like is a great deal)! RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m giving this combo 5 out of 5 stars! They work great as a duo and cleaned out all of my blackheads! These are also Clean at Sephora!!! 🤩 Great clean option!OLE HENRIKSEN - Cold Plunge Pore Mask OLE HENRIKSEN - Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub

The Telltale Signs Of Combination Skin And Ultimate Care Tips
If you have combination skin, it can be tricky to find products—you may find something that improves dryness only to worsen oiliness or vice versa.
Exfoliation 101 – Wisdom for Acne-Prone & Simultaneously Aging Skin
Exfoliation is a tricky but necessary aspect of properly caring for your skin. You may think that cleansing alone is doing the trick, but dead skin cells build up and need to be resurfaced for a more bright, rejuvenated, and glowing appearance. If you scrub too hard, the skin barrier will become inflamed or damaged. If you do not scrub at all, your skin becomes unevenly textured and dull in coloration. If you are battling adult-acne, you sadly can’t use many of the BEST anti-aging products. This is because the formulas are often too thick or concentrated, leading to increased blemishes. It is a confusing dance to learn the ins and outs of exfoliation, especially with the party of combination skin. But here are the tricks that worked for me! About my skin: · European/White/Cherokee Native American Ethnicity/background · Very acne-prone; cystic, scarring, uneven skin tone · Battling aging at the same time (age: 25) · Oily in some places, dry in others, very fun! One of my favorites is a product that I discovered in France a few Summers ago while living abroad (shipping worldwide) is the Deep Cleansing Exfoliator by Caudalie. Here is a bit about the regimen: · I use this product about twice per week, to avoid over-exfoliating and causing skin irritation (or more breakouts). · I use about a nickel-sized amount, pretty generously. You can use a pea-sized drop, whatever feels right! This simple and ‘whipped’ texture is very gentle while somehow feeling like gritty sand. Just as your face feels refreshed from saltwater and the beach, this formula feels like it is giving me a new layer of skin! A brighter, clearer, smoother, and healthier layer of skin!! This gritty product works deep yet somehow is lightweight like a cloud. It has dramatically enhanced the clarity of my skin and has been a real gamechanger. Thank goodness I do not have to fly to France every time I need it, or there would be trouble! Please note – This is simply what has worked for me as the best exfoliant used to date. What works for my skin may not work for your skin. There are mechanical, chemical, or topical exfoliations available on a crowded marketplace. To set honest expectations - You will have to experiment with different exfoliation products to find the right fit for your skin. Tips for exfoliation: · You have to find your own frequency. You can exfoliate every day, and this only works for some skin-types; for others, this can lead to increased breakouts. You want to preserve the natural Ph and balance of your skin, while still forcing it to regenerate new skin cells. · If you do exfoliate daily, do so GENTLY! · Do not use harsh exfoliants that have things like plastic microbeads, shells, volcanic rock, or accidental particles that get thrown into the natural concoction. These are commonly used in cheaply-made or under-researched products, leading to microtears in the skin. To avoid, purchase your product from a trusted and reputable skin-care brand. · Always moisturize afterward. Since my skin is acne-prone, I have to opt for oil-free options. Be very careful with chemical peels or mechanical options as they are literally peeling away a layer of the skin. Chemical peels can lead to scarring and infection, on top of the sheer pain. I personally recommend opting for a more gentle topical option, such as the Caudalie line for skin detoxification. Experiment slowly, and you will find the right regimen of products and frequency for your skin type. Starting early will always be better than starting late!

Honest Beauty & I Dew Care!
My skin care journey has not been easy or CONSISTENT. When I truly started caring what I put on my face I learned that finding out what is in products is important, especially if I was going to start being consistent. With a little bit of prayer and a solid skin care routine my face has increasingly started getting better. Letting my love for skin care take its course and venturing into different products! Honest Beauty Gentle Gel Cleanser- I have been through the bad products and the good products. This by far is one of my favorites especially for my combination skin. Not too drying and the scent is very relaxing. This is cruelty free and free of any synthetic fragrance or parabens. I use this morning and night! I Dew Care Yoga Kitten Balancing Heartleaf Clay Mask- BEST mask I have tried so far. I haven’t tried many but definitely plan too. This is a perfect texture and dries pretty fast. The bits of real heartleaf make me excited to use this, but the outcome is even more exciting. Great for my redness and irritation due to acne and not to drying for my combo skin.
HONEST-Gentle Gel Cleanser
my maskne routine!
Hey guys! I think we’ve all seen the maskne/mascne/mask acne posts going around since we’re all discovering the side effect of wearing a mask! I thought I’d share my routine to combat this acne too, just in case it helps even just one person. This is my personal regime and may not be suitable for everyone. To set the scene: you’ve been working all day or even just been out a couple hours and you finally get home! You take off your mask and discover almost damp, very moist skin. Maybe you even have a new breakout, or none at all. What do you do now? Cleanse the skin Right away, I use GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm because the silky oil really breaks down the products I have on my face that need to come off after sitting under a mask. I find a cleansing balm essential in thoroughly removing sunscreen, makeup, and other products. I then use OLE HENRIKSEN - Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser afterwards to really finish off my cleanse and feel super fresh. This also controls my oil, so the skin that sits under the mask isn’t creating excess sebum. It erases all traces of the balm and gives you a clean slate. Apply a toner I find toners extremely helpful in balancing my face after I cleanse. My absolute, holy grail toner is GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner . It brings moisture back into my skin and stays, feeling plump and heavenly dewy. It also visibly shrunk my ginormous pores within 3-5 days of using it twice a day and my pores have been much smaller ever since. This is the only product that helps control my oil and keeps my face hydrated. Even expensive lotions by themselves don’t do it for my skin. Apply a moisturizer I love love love CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin because it is thick yet absorbs well into my skin and feels light afterwards. It also leaves a comfortable—not oily or gross in any way—protective layer on my skin so the outside elements don’t damage it nor dry it out. I love this during all seasons. It works wonders combined with the toner I mentioned before. 4-5 times a week, apply a mask I find this super helpful in drying out specific acne spots or just giving my skin an entire refresh. I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the acne I get when I stick to using it! My favorites are ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay (review on my page) and the ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Charcoal Honey Mask to Purify and Nourish . Origins has always been super gentle on my sensitive skin and extremely effective! Apply a treatment I’ve used DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel and it wasn’t strong enough for my skin. I now use a prescription tretinoin cream nightly and it’s way more effective for me. Any treatment helps though!! What is your routine? I’d love to hear about it! 🤍 I hope this helps!!
