Products I've tried to treat acne....

I have combination-oily and sensitive skin. I was also acne-prone for 7 years and I still have acne scars. I'll be sharing some products I've tried before. 💦Facial Cleanser -Chanel La Mousse Anti-Pollution Cleansing Cream-To-Foam A gentle, paste-like facial cleanser suitable for sensitive skin and evening use. Rub to create a foamy lather before use or use it with a facial cleansing massager. -CAUDALIE - Instant Foaming Cleanser A morning facial cleanser. Those with sensitive and fragile skin can consider cleansing in the evening. 💦Essence SK-II - Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence) It increases skin immunity if used long-term. It also won't cause acne breakouts and is super refreshing! It's effective in lightening acne scars but does nothing for pockmarks. LA MER - The Treatment Lotion A small amount is enough for the whole face. I find it a little sticky for me and I don't feel like it adds anything to my skincare routine. SK-II - Facial Treatment Clear Lotion Toner As a double cleanser before using a toner, I don't suggest daily use for sensitive, acne-prone skin as I don't feel it doing much at all. Albion Essential Skin Conditioner It cleared acne effectively at the beginning. But somehow it didn't work as well after a while. I still use it as a lotion mask sometimes. SHISEIDO - Eudermine Revitalizing Essence Strongly not recommended! It has a really sticky texture and causes acne breakouts. 💦Serum SHISEIDO - Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate I highly recommend you to use this after a toner. It's non-greasy and it won't cause breakouts. It keeps your skin healthy if you use it long term! I think it has a restorative effect. LA MER - LA MER The Concentrate It repairs damaged skin and lightens acne scars, but I won't suggest everyday use as it causes bumps. Kiehl's - Midnight Recovery Concentrate It also features restoration effects and I normally use it after applying Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate. I'll squeeze three drops onto my palm, then rub it between my palms until it's warm and massage it onto my face. It also doesn't cause acne breakouts! You'll find your skin feeling rejuvenated the next day. 💦Facial Cream SK-II - R.N.A. Power Radical New Age Cream I think it's too thick and heavy for oily skin during summer, but it's suitable for winter use. It's also suitable for acne-prone skin. LA MER - LA MER The Moisturizing Soft Cream LA MER - The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream I suggest the soft cream for winter use. It has a great scent and it won't cause acne breakouts. However, you'll find your skin oily the next day. I suggest the gel cream for summer use, but those with severe acne-prone skin can skip this step.

What I use for emergency skin repair?
Today I want to share my skin routine when I have breakouts before my period, or my skin feels uneven and has small pimples on my face because I eat too much unhealthy foods and stay up late. I usually do this routine no more than five days and I can see the great results. The most important point is “less is more”, so I would only use one repairing product and focus on moisturizing so that there won’t be too much burden for my skin. For the first step, I will apply a moisturizing skin lotion with a cotton pads, which will help me clean the skin better. I use the Eudermine Revitalizing Essence from Shiseido, and I think you can choose any lotion you like if the ingredients are simple. After wiping my face and neck, I will use it one more time without cotton pads to give my skin a good base for the next step. The next product I use is the Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate from Estee Lauder. Using Chronolux S.O.S. Technology, this treatment rescues and resets the look of skin fast, and I can tell the difference in one night! This product has Tripeptide-32, which is a patent ingredient of Estee Lauder and has great antioxidative effects. The salicylic acid and resveratrol inside can help with pores, breakouts and make the skin brighter and more stable. Besides, dimethicone, squalene and hyaluronic acid are for moisturizing, so if you have oily skin, you can omit cream afterwards. The last step for me is moisturizer. I use the True Cream Moisturizing Bomb from Belif. I really love this brand, and they have different texture of moisturizer. If you have combination or oily skin, the Water Bomb is also a great choice if your expectation is only stay hydrated all day and all night. Because I don’t want to have too much products on my face when my skin is sensitive, so keeping my skin hydrated is the most important thing for me. And this product does a great job.   So that is my skincare routine when I need emergency repair and I would only use this routine when needed and go back to my normal routine after I feel better. Hope it can be helpful for you too.

My P.M Routine 👇🏻
I am combination dry skin, moisturizing has been set in the chief need. When I close to 30 years old, except moisturizing product, anti-aging products are also necessary. P.M sisley - BLACK ROSE CREAM MASK SHISEIDO - Eudermine Revitalizing Essence sisley - Ecological Compound The biggest difference between A.M and P.M is using the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask. This mask features anti-aging and moisturizing. I use it for 3 times a week. The texture is cream and presents the light pink color. It gives off a smell of rose, very exclusive flavour. After cleaning up, to apply a thick layer on your skin, and wait for more than ten or twenty minutes to wash off. After washing off, you can obviously feel that your skin is smooth and brighten. It can clean the pores and make your skin glow. After cleaning the mask completely, I am going to apply Shiseido Eudermine. I have bought-back this toner for many times. If you are dry skin, I recommend you to go to buy it quickly! It can keep your skin in a newly-born condition! Collocation with Sisley ecological compound, the function of anti-aging and moisturizing are all covered by this routine. A.M SHISEIDO - Eudermine Revitalizing Essence GUERLAIN - Bee Glow Youth Moisturizer In the daytime, in addition to not applying Sisley black rose cream mask, I will replace Sisley Ecological Compound with Guerlain abeille royale youth watery oil, which is more hydrated than the previous one from my experience. Only ensure that the skin is moist enough, the foundation and subsequent cosmetics can help you skin present the best condition. Sisley Ecological Compound is for all skin types, and the Guerlain abeille royale youth watery oil is more suitable for dry skin people! In addition to season change, I will change my routine. Any other periods I have been using this routine for over three years.

What am I doing wrong in my routine??!!!!
I made a post about a week ago detailing my skincare journey, and how I finally felt like I was getting on track again to my pre-covid glowy skin, never having many breakouts... but this week that all went in the garbage. I was so embarrassed to post these photos but I’m seriously so desperate for help to fix this, so I’m going to drop my routine below and hope that some saint out there will give me some advice on what’s going wrong! (my AM/PM routine are both the same) 1. Cleanse with the Murad - Clarifying Cleanser( has a 1.5% salicylic acid concentration) 2. On dampened skin I use the The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, I would say I use about half a dropper or so full of the serum all over my face— not sure if that’s too little or too much? 3. For my toner I change between ELEMIS - Balancing Lavender Tonerand the SK-II - Facial Treatment Clear Lotion Toner , using a cotton pad on my acne breakouts and my T-zone 4. I go in with my The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% but I recently found out i am using WAY more than I need to be, going in with about a half dropper full of serum every time I use the product. Thinking that might be a big factor, but I’m still not quite sure... 5. I also occasionally go in with the The Ordinary - ''Buffet''but again, honestly not even sure if I’m using the right amount, I have truthfully been using a full/half dropper of serum from each product I have from The Ordinary. 5. For my moisturizer I am currently using #Bvlgari - Nourishing Face Emulsion[products]#(I ran out of my previous moisturizer so I found a travel size bottle of this I got from a travel pack while flying) Not sure if this is even good tbh but it seems hydrating???? I also use salicylic acid spot treatments/acne patches occasionally before I go to bed to help with brutal whiteheads like the ones above. I know a lot of my breakouts have unfortunately been due to mask wearing, however, I make a point to wash my masks after every use, never rewearing a used mask, I wash my silk sheets/pillowcases OFTEN, I rarely put my phone up to my face to talk, but when I do I sanitize the screen. I feel like I have an entire ritual at this point, however I still deal with these breakouts/redness. I bought these items above because I had heard nothing but stellar reviews, however I am seeing little to no change in my routine, and if anything, it’s all significantly worse than the bare minimum routine I had a year ago before discovering skincare. My confidence hurts and so does my wallet 😭😭😭😭 I am a very critical person of my skin and my appearance, which never mixes well when I suffer from any kind of breakout or inflammation, but if anyone out there has a little advice for me, I would be so appreciative 😌

👌3 Steps - Rush Morning Skincare
I feel like I’m always in a hurry every week day morning. Can morning skincare be simple and effective? While I am rushing for everything, I really don’t have much time for skincare. After a year of finding the most effective way, here is my 3 step morning skincare routine that I found most simple and effective. The first step obviously, is to clean the skin. Some people just wake up and rinse their face. If you really have good skincare routine the night before and you don’t feel like you need to. I am a combination dry, and I always wake up with an oily and dull face. I have to use cleanser in the morning for removing those natural oil. If you are like me, I suggest you try a cleanser with actives in it. ESTĒE LAUDER - Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask Some of the ingredients that it contains are like Myristic Acid, Glycerin, Behenic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, that can effectively removes impurities without drying, leaving skin smooth. I like it is making my skin fresh and soft in the morning. Next is a toner. SK-II - Facial Treatment Clear Lotion Toner This toner is very gentle. For my morning routine, I try to find something that is not too heavy but still moisturizing for my skin. It was really moisturizing and my skin became smooth. This one really brightened my complexion and reduced redness, and my skin felt plump and hydrated. Normally at this step my skin is already damp and soft, I still go with a moisturizer for extra hydration. ESTĒE LAUDER - Revitalizing Supreme Light+ Global Anti-Aging Cell Power Creme Oil-Free Since I will be wearing makeup and stay inside with air conditioning running all day, I want a cream that helps to prevent dehydration. I just put a bit in my hands, rub my hands together to melt it, and gently pad it into my face and neck. By rubbing and padding, you can feel it absorbs quickly and does not leave a layer at the skin at all. You can also add sunscreen after this step prevent from UV damage. And this is my simple and effective 3 step morning routing. It saves a lot of time for me in the morning and still keep my skin moisturized throughout the day.

Miracle in a sample? 🤔
I was pretty excited to get this sample from La Mer. After all, their new The Concentrate formula starts at $200. 💸 However, as a barrier serum that strengthens and repaid I was excited because I’m trying to restore my skins moisture barrier. LA MER - LA MER The Concentrate What to Know The key ingredients are: Concentrated Miracle Broth™, Lime Tea. Both ingredients defend your skin against free radicals, calm redness, and renew the skin. According to La Mer, “After just 14 days, skin’s natural barrier was significantly strengthened.” 🧐 HOWEVER, here’s where skincare brands lose me. Those results are based on only 23 women who used the serum daily. That IS NOT a big enough pool to make such claims. 🙅‍♀️ Even still I gave it a try to see if maybe I was one of those 23 lucky women. ✨ My Experience After 2 weeks — yes, the sample lasts that long — here’s what I loved about it: It has a rich marine/plant natural scent to it that’s utterly soothing. It could easily double as a primer if you use makeup because it creates a silky-smooth barrier on your skin. My skin’s textures improves by 75% with a smoother and less bumpy texture. It did nothing to calm irritation or ease out my acne. If anything, I got some new whiteheads with this. Final Verdict Would I spend $200+ on this serum? Probably not right now. However, once my skin goes back to normal and stops being reactive, it’s a great daily serum solution for aging signs and moisture.

💰MY LA MER HAUL: Splurge or Save?
Work so hard every night and day just to spend on a ton of La Mer goodies. Here’s my Christmas La Mer haul. It is expensive for sure but is it worth it? It’s been debated since like land before time. Does expensive really mean it’s better? Below, I provide some more alternatives for the same effect. LA MER - LA MER Moisturizing Cream The original moisturizing cream is thick. When you buy one of these, you must practice the La Mer ritual. Warm the pea sized cream in your hands and between your fingers then press onto your skin to apply. Since this cream is thick it feels like it stays on all day but I still couldn’t get over the thickness of it. After finishing the jar, I changed to the moisturizing soft cream. LA MER - LA MER The Moisturizing Soft Cream The moisturizing soft cream is lighter and has a weightless feel to it. It’s ready to apply without warming it with your hands or fingers and directly press onto your skin. I love the texture of this moisturizer because of how soft it is but it’s not that moisturizing to the point where I’d rebuy. In fact, I threw mine away and opted for TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream LA MER - LA MER The Powder I bought this finishing powder and pre-pandemic, I tried this on at the store and it looked super smooth. As always, I try to strive for a poreless look and it really felt like it gave that but it’s $95! I bought it anyway 🤦‍♀️ You could spend less for the same effect but I did feel bougie putting it on. I now use KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Lock-It Setting Powder Just use a powder brush and dust all over. I wouldn’t rebuy this at all. LA MER - LA MER The Body Crème I don’t love it. It’s a body cream that works and I’ve rebought this thinking it’s doing wonders for my body’s skin until I tried whipped argan oil like I can’t believe that shit ain’t butter and WOW. The La Mer Body Crème for $285 vs $36 JOSIE MARAN - Whipped Argan Oil Illuminizing Body Butter Save your $$$ money cash. I’ll be writing a review for the rest of the items soon! Standby or follow for Part 2 of my LA MER haul and thanks for reading. 😍

My new love of drug store brands
La Mer user in recovery lol. It all started when I realized they had no acne products or any containing the usual, key ingredients. So a long journey of The Ordinary, the Inkey list, and La Roche Posay- I have no use for La Mer. I’m all about tried and tested products now. Key ingredients and proper concentrations. Really, buy the Marine Hyaluronics from The Ordinary and add it to any ol’ lotions. Then enjoy the freedom and The Ordinary - Marine Hyaluronics LA MER - LA MER The Moisturizing Soft Cream LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+) massive savings of relying on the tried and true ingredients- not the brand who’s mystical backstory involves a psychic trying to contact the original manufacturer from the grave to get his recipe. The only thing that La Mer soothes is my ego.

Life Is Short, Buy The Serum
Hi lovely people ! Okay so this serum is literally like a liquid filler in a serum, so needles free ,YAY. ( I have never gotten filler , but if I were to imagine a temporary filling effect agent this would be it!) The first time I tried this serum I literally flipped out the next morning, all of my fine lines were filled and vanished. I kept looking at my face in awe of how beautiful my skin appeared. I swear by all Kiehl’s Skincare products but this is my favorite. It is very oily but it absorbs in the skin gradually throughout the night. The oil is light weight and has a nice light aroma. If I can compare it to anything it would be a faint Lavendar scent. My facial skin feels like it was pumped with some type of miracle overnight. Skin is the most receptive at night time to repairing inside so that is why it is important to use all of your intense concentrates and serums overnight. The squalene in this product keeps the skin hydrated while the primrose extract promotes tightening elasticity of the skin. The Primrose flower blooms every other year so how luck are we to have such a rarity in our routine ! The name speaks for itself, kiehls is a bit more affordable than the other lines I use but it’s about the quality of the product despite price! I use this product every other night when I’m not using retinol.

Quenching My Skin Thirst
I had no idea how thirsty my skin was until I went to kiehls and got an in store facial (precovid). I started using this every day and noticing some wrinkles disappear. The smell is really lovely. It smells like lavender. It has squalane which is amazing for your skin. It is so luxurious feeling on the skin. It doesn’t feel oily at all. It is my favorite kiehls product. I actually wear it night and day because I love nourishing feeling so much! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best Anti-Aging Moisturizer from Japan – Availab
Since I have lived in Asia for many years before, Korean and Japanese skin care brands have always been one of my favorites products to have on the vanity counter. Their formulas are extra gentle and suitable for my sensitive skin. One of my favorite top brands is SK-II, a homegrown Japanese brand known for its “Miracle Water” or a trademarked fermented yeast ingredient call Pitera. I have combination skin, meaning my skin is dry and sometimes experience flakes on the cheeks, while oil and shine appears on other areas, especially on the forehead, nose and chin. As I am also over 30 years old now, I am incorporating anti-aging products in my skincare regime. One of the best products I have using right now is the SK-II R.N.A.POWER Radical New Age Moisturizer. SK-II - R.N.A. Power Radical New Age Cream The rich moisturizer is a nourishing complex of pitera with hydrolyzed soy and yeast extracts to make skin firm and radiant from within. I love how the silky texture is perfect for both cold and hot climates, resulting in no sticky residue when applied under make-up. Other ingredients in the mix such as RNArchitect Complex and Niacinamide, a type of vitamin B3 complex, also helps with gettig a more even skin tone and complexion. I usually apply this luxurious cream after traveling and flying to soothe my parched skin. I have also noticed that a week is all it takes for this cream to work its magic in the skin! I can definitely see a noticable glow and smoother texture. To use, take a pearl-sized amount of cream and dot onto forehead, cheeks and chin. Massage evenly over face and neck in outward and upward strokes. Gently press and pat with your palms until completely absorbed. For the price tag of US$235 for a 80ml (2.7oz) jar, it can be quite expensive for a twice-a-day cream, so I use this sparingly in the evening about four times a week although the cream can be used twice a day. Tip: order the cream on SK-II website now and also receive a complimentary one sheet of SK-II Facial Treatment Mask, a 30ml bottle of Facial Treatment Clear Lotion, and a 2.5ml jar of SK-II R.N.A.POWER Cream.

People Told Me Olay Is A Dupe To SKII And I Found...😶😶😶
I'm 23 years old and I recently felt that my skin was losing elasticity, so I decided that it's time for me to tackle premature aging by trying a tightening facial cream. I followed the herd and bought the very popular OLAY - Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream which is known as a cheaper alternative of SK-II - R.N.A. Power Radical New Age Cream. I have friends that told me that this is the worst facial cream they've ever used, but I didn't believe them until I used it myself and felt utterly disappointed. It has an uneven texture and although it's scented, it smells cheap and gives the impression of being loaded with preservatives. It is also hard to spread and tends to spread unevenly. I happened to pass by SK-II's counter one day and tried the SK-II R.N.A. POWER Radical New Age, which was a way better product upon comparison. SK-II R.N.A. POWER Radical New Age has a really even texture, spreads easily, and is very moisturizing. I can feel my skin becoming softer and more tender. I bought it straightaway after the beauty assistant tried it on me. SK-II R.N.A. POWER Radical New Age managed to maintain the stability of my sensitive skin even during season change, with my skin redness and rash nowhere to be seen. Instead, it left my skin with a translucent glow. So I don't recommend cheaping out on good skincare products with their affordable alternatives which will never offer the same results. Do you know any dupes for SK-II? How do you like Olay? Comment here!🥰🥰

Dupe For La Mer?
🌺Update: I compared this with La Mer LA MER - The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream . I think La Mer is a little smoother and thinner than One Ocean. It has a nice feel once rubbed in but right now I’m needing a lot of moisture and it didn’t do enough for me. It also contains fragrance which should be avoided in skin care items. As far as the smell, I don’t think it’s bad or overpowering but I didn’t care for it. I’m very sensitive to fragrance so I was not feeling this. I eventually washed it off and applied some facial oil instead for deep hydration. In terms of texture, I think this La Mer product was similar to Drunk Elephant’s Protini peptide moisturizer, though a little thinner. I prefer One Ocean for a nice moisturizer that incorporates marine ingredients. I think La Mer has a nice smooth finish but it just didn’t wow me. If you are looking for an actual total dupe for this particular La Mer product, I don’t think One Ocean fits the bill due to it being just the slightest bit thicker and the teensiest bit less smooth, but I would still recommend One Ocean over La Mer for all the other reasons I’ve listed here. ❤️I hope this was helpful! Let me know what your favorite moisturizers are! ❤️ 🌼Original post: I bought this after learning about the benefits of marine plants being in skincare (seaweed, algae, etc) while watching a review by a dermatologist about La Mer. La Mer is incredibly expensive, includes mineral oil, tests on animals and contains fragrance. They claim to have a special marine broth, so I searched around and found One Ocean which absorbs really nicely, is fragrance free, cruelty free and has no mineral oil. It contains “active marine ingredients including glycoproteins from the Antarctic and algae from the Sea of Japan, combined with high performance peptides.” It is said to “penetrate the skin, soothe and lock in hydration, to stimulate collagen to promote firmness, elasticity and skin hydration, brightens, smooths and visibly reduces the appearance of wrinkles for a radiant complexion.” I’m really excited to try this. I’ll compare it to a small sample of La Mer in a bit, but knowing La Mer has added fragrance is an absolute “no” in my book, so I won’t be doing a long-term test. This seems like a really great moisturizer in general, light enough for the day and non-sticky. If you’re looking for the benefits of marine ingredients but want to avoid some of the problems with La Mer, this could be for you. I’ll post an update in about a week. ONE OCEAN BEAUTY - Replenishing Deep Sea Moisturizer

Same Effect With 1/5 The Price? 🤔Sounds Like A Good Deal
I have combination skin. My skin is very dry in the winer, and it can get oily in the summer. It is kind of hard to find the right face cream for combo skin. In my mind, these two products are very similar. So today, I will compare the two and tell you the BEST Face Cream! Both of them have a moisturizing gel-like texture, but they also have slight differences. TATCHA - The Water Cream is more sticky but it spreads very easily. The LA MER - The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream is more moisturizing but it doesn't spread as easily as the Tatcha The Water Cream. Both have a light refreshing scent. The Tatcha The Water Cream is an oil-free, moisturizing cream which helps in maintaining the water balance of our skin and minimizing the appearance of pores. The ingredients include Japanese Wild Rose, which can visibly tighten pores and smoothen skin texture, and Japanese Leopard Lily which helps to control excess oil and clarifies skin. Hadasei-3™, an anti-aging trinity of green tea, rice, and algae, restores a healthy look and youthful radiance. In conclusion, the Tatcha The Water Cream focuses on moisturizing while also providing an anti-oxidant effect. It's more suitable for oily or combination skin. It's US$68 for 1.7oz. The La Mer The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream delivers soothing moisture for a refreshed feeling. It's created with Miracle Broth™ and Micro Oil Gel Capsules to bring nourishing moisture to the skin and at the same time help smoothen fine lines and wrinkles. Lime tea helps to protect against environmental stress and pollution for a pure glow. This cool gel cream is ideal for a combination or oily skin. It's US $335 for 2oz.  To sum up, the La Mer The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream provides a moisturizing, restorative, and anti-aging effect. It's a good choice for those who want to nourish and restore their skin. The Tatcha The Water Cream focuses on moisturizing, oil control, cleansing, and fighting oxidation. Both facial creams have different effects and properties. In terms of moisturizing, I think the Tatcha The Water Cream is sufficient. Do you agree with me? 😘 Share your thoughts!

💸$115 for 100ml of La Mer- worth it?
Luxury skincare has always fascinated me. I don’t mind the extravagance, as long as it’s worth the price! I was excited to get my hands on this mini version of the Treatment Lotion to see what it feels like. I’ll start by saying the bottle is a twist off cap, so you have to be *extremely* careful not to spill it or pour too much. Each drop is precious! The way you’re meant to use it is kind of like a toner, where you put some on your fingers and press it into the skin after cleansing. You can also apply it with a cotton pad, which is what I’ve been doing. I like that it doesn’t burn the skin and it’s hydrating enough to be used on its own without moisturizer on top. Must be the “miracle broth” they use! The top three ingredients are water, Algae (Seaweed) Extract and Glycerin. My main skin concerns are acne, hyperpigmentation and dryness. While I can’t say that it’s done much to fix those issues, it hasn’t hurt either! LA MER - The Treatment Lotion

Wow, this SERUM! 😍
I am in LOVE with Shiseido’s Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate. In. Love. I received a mini size of it in my Macy’s 25 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar, so I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now. Right away, I could tell I was really going to like it. It’s such a silky, luxurious feeling serum and it absorbs into skin beautifully. It immediately feels hydrating and makes skin look a little brighter and bouncier. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been having really great skin days. My face is clearer, more radiant and overall softer. I think this serum is really playing a part (although there are a couple other products I think are helping as well that I’ll review at a later date!). The concentrate contains reishi mushroom extract, which is packed with antioxidants to help strengthen skin and reduce the signs of aging. Now, my only problem is the price tag. I know Sheseido products come at a cost and this is no difference. A one ounce container comes with a $70 price tag. So, I will be wrestling with whether or not to buy it for myself once my sample runs out. At the very least I’ll have dewy skin for another few weeks! What serum do you recommend for results? SHISEIDO - Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate

All serums I have emptied and tried in 2020
Many of them I have only had a very short encounter but want to name a few: SHISEIDO - Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate I use this before all other serums. I enjoy the light weight texture and skin barrier strengthening feature. TATCHA - Violet-C Brightening Serum 20% Vitamin C + 10% AHA this is a clear serum and absorb right away. Very gentle but potent. Sulwhasoo - Bloomstay Vitalizing Serum beautify package and scent. A bit on the sticky side but not much once on the skin. ESTĒE LAUDER - Free Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex Ii Sample With Product Purchase odie but goodie. Can’t imagine one day I will not have it in my routine. I really hope to try the new version of this.

Products for Oily and Acne Prone Skin
Products for Oily and Acne Prone Skin
🍃My skin is combo leaning dry but it definitely has its oily and acne prone moments. This products always save my skin when I’m going through a fun bout of adult puberty. 🍃 Caudalie Vinopure Pore Purifying Cleanser - I’m normally more of a cream cleanser kind of gal but this is my go to cleanser when my skin is acting up. This product contains salicylic acid but isn’t drying at all and leaves my skin feeling soft while really helping to balance my oil production. This product does contain a number of essential oils so if that’s something you’re sensitive to this may not be for you. 🍃 Caudalie Vinopure Skin Perfecting Serum - Honestly the whole Vinopure line is great. When I apply this I instantly feel it mattifying my face and it really helps with acne as well. This would be too drying for me on a daily basis so I only use it when my skin is feeling oily or breaking out but if you have consistently oily/acne prone skin your skin will love this for daily use. This product contains grapeseed polyphenols and salicylic acid but does contain essential oils so may not be the best if you’re sensitive to EOs 🍃 Drunk Elephant B Hydra - a lightweight hydrating serum containing pineapple ceramides and provitamin B5. Oily skin is often lacking hydration and can benefit from a lightweight serum like this that can penetrate deeper than a moisturizer can. For dry/combo/normal skin I recommend layering this under a moisturizer but for more oily skin types this is a great replacement if you find most moisturizers to be too heavy. 🍃CosRX Oil after Moisturizing Lotion - This lightweight moisturizer contains an impressive 70% birch sap which soothes the skin and helps to retain moisture (this moisturizer is actually designed to be used with CosRX’s BHA line but it’s a great moisturizer for any routine). I honestly love this whether I’m having an oily or dry day. It sinks in quickly and isn’t heavy at all but leaves my skin feeling super soft and plumped. And it’s only $24 for a giant bottle.

Dupe for DE Protini Cream? (Spoiler: NO)
Dupe for DE Protini Cream? (Spoiler: NO)
First off, thank you for all the love on my post about “curing” my cystic acne! I hope that it helped people as much as it helped me in my skin journey. If you read that post, you’d know that while not necessarily sensitive, I am oily and can veer into dehydrated if I overcorrect the oiliness too much. That’s why DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream was my angel. Perfection. I loved it. My skin had never been more ~balanced~. Chef’s kiss. 10/10. You know what I didn’t like though? That $68 price tag. I think I shed a tear when my sample size was out. (Not to mention the company’s internal drama, but I digress.) Enter Brandefy, a broke person’s savior that specializes in finding comperable dupes to expensive staples in makeup and skincare. And they tossed in this budget moisturizer saying it had pretty much ALL OF THE SAME INGREDIENTS. Obviously, I bought it immediately. And now, two days later, I can honestly say... After ONE NIGHT of using this product, I woke up with milia and small whiteheads all across my T-zone. The next night, I applied a little less to see if that helped, but woke up with more red spotting. I had noticed the texture of the Acure brand cream was thicker, less water-like than the Protini (which should have been obvious seeing as how Protini’s first ingredient is water, but hey). One AHA face wash and different moisturizer later, my skin has calmed down to where it’ll all be back to normal in a day, but this is the first time I’ve reacted to any product in this way. I’m recommending you fellow acne, oily-skin people stay away from it altogether. Dry skin babes, this might be the one for you. All I know is, at least I have a new hand cream, I guess. 2/5 ⭐️ - maybe someone will find it useful for their skin, but it’s got a limited range.

Clean Beauty 🌱 Fad Or Real Deal?!
Clean Beauty 🌱 Fad Or Real Deal?!
As the beauty world continues to grow, we are seeing more and more brands either starting out or reformulating to be considered a clean beauty brand. This movement reminds me all too well of when eating organic & staying away from preservatives became a major lifestyle trend, and continues to be to this day! People are constantly finding ways to better themselves, whether it’s better healthier habits, better exercise, and now clean beauty for flawless looking skin. The question is: Is this just a fad or is clean beauty really the road to the best skin one can have? Up until around November of 2019, I didn’t really have a strict skincare regime. I washed my face in the shower with drugstore products like Clean & Clear scrub, and use whatever moisturizer was laying around. I didn’t use face masks, under eye gel patches, and I had no idea what toner or essence was! 😂 It really wasn’t until I started my makeup beauty account on IG almost a year ago that I started learning about skincare routines and how important it was to have one. But as I said, it wasn’t until November 2019 that I discovered Drunk Elephant, clean beauty, layering / mixing, and listening to my skin’s needs (needs more hydrating products, nourishing products, pore clearing products, etc). I will 100% stand by and say that my skin has never looked better since using Drunk Elephant products. But because I do try out and test products for IG, I can’t sit here and say it’s ALL I use. But I can tell you that my skin definitely reacts now (and I don’t have sensitive skin either!) when I use certain products because it is so accustomed to DE and their wonderful, beneficial ingredients. So do I think you can only have flawless looking skin using clean beauty products? No. I had relatively nice skin, no acne issues or breakouts, before having a proper skincare regime. There are also plenty of clean beauty brands that are affordable on the market like The Inkey List & Good Molecules. I think the key to great looking skin is just by listening to your skin’s needs, testing new products out in small skin patches to prevent reactions, and just using a trial and error method. What works for one person may not work for the next, and that’s perfectly fine. That’s the beautiful thing about this beauty community - there are an endless amount of options for everyone to find something that works for them!

Review my routine!
Hello everyone, I am going to show you my routine every night, I hope you can read it and my thoughts will help you! remember each product works differently depending on your skin type. 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 1️⃣ I start by washing my face with fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash I really enjoy using this cleanser, It is my favorite since it leaves my skin super clean and refreshing, it has a cucumber smell that I love. 〰️ 〰️ 2️⃣ my next step is to spray YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha , I use this once I get my face clean and let it dry, also this is wonderful as a last step in my skin care routine in case I do a chemical peel or an enzyme powder to exfoliate. 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 3️⃣ my third step I only do it when I have dark spots ( thanks to my hormonal acne) on my skin, and I really like Kiehl's - Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution It feels super light, dries very quickly and I have noticed a difference in the area of my cheek where I have had dark spots. 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 4️⃣ my fourth step is to apply my moisturizer GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer This is my favorite light weight moisturizer. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, it doesn’t freak out my oily T zone but still leaves my dry skin feeling nourished. 〰️ 〰️ 〰️ 5️⃣ don't forget to hydrate your lips 👄 so lastly I use LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Leaves my lips super hydrated, soft, I am so happy with this product, since I started using it the skin on my lips does not break like Before. if you got to last part, I hope it helps you some of my routine. 👏🏻 Thank you!

Skin Care Short-Cuts😜
Skin Care Short-Cuts😜
Although it is important to never skip your skin care, we all experience days where we just want to chill and skip the complex skin care routines. Perhaps this is what you are feeling right now when you’re reading this article, well, you have come to the right place. Keep on reading to discover a lazy-day routine that just might work for you. My skin type + concerns: It is not uncommon for people with oily skin to experience inner dryness at the same time. Unfortunately, this is my skin type, so I cannot ignore doing any skin care when I’m feeling lazy because if I don’t tend to my inner dryness, my face would end up producing more oil, leading to enlarged pores and breakouts. Lazy-day routine: My normal skin care routine is already simple to start with. I always make sure to cleanse my face well with a facial cleanser, to get rid of all the dirt and makeup residue accumulated throughout the day. Then, I would tone my face with a refreshing toner to balance the PH of my skin and follow up with a serum that calms my sensitive skin and addresses my inner dryness. Lastly, I would finish off with a lightweight moisturizer to lock in all the hydration. As for my lazy day routine, I try to cut out as many steps as I can to save time and effort. Therefore, I only use a cleanser and serum because they are essential for my skin type. I would also use the ones with more powerful ingredients to compensate for the omitted steps. I rarely retreat to lazy day routines unless I’m absolutely worn out or don’t have time, because in the end, my skin still needs all the help it can get. Neutrogena - Deep Clean, Facial Cleanser I use the same cleanser from my normal routine because most cleansers are similar to each other, without one being significantly more convenient than the other. I am not too picky about cleansers due to the fact that they primarily serve to cleanse and only stay on the skin for a short amount of time.  Price: $10/200ml Currently, I am using this cleanser because it is very affordable and convenient to get. It is an adequate product, doing its job of cleansing the skin without stripping off its moisture.  Texture: I wish this cleanser could foam up a bit more, but it doesn't bother me that much because using one pump is enough. It is a gel cleanser that turns into foam when incontact with water. Scent: It is alright, not too strong.  CLARINS - Golden Double Serum What I love about this product is that it combines facial oil and serum, which saves me the trouble of applying serum and moisturizer in two separate steps. It contains more nourishing ingredients, which basically is able to cover most of the steps in my normal skincare routine, leaving my face glowy and hydrated the next day. Price: $98/30ml It is one of my most expensive serums, but I think it is worth it because it saved me a lot of steps for other skincare products. Texture: The serum is quite thick because it contains facial oil, but it still applies evenly and easily across the skin. It leaves a slightly sticky finish to the skin. Scent: It is very sweet and potent. One drop out is enough to penetrate the entire room. I quite like the scent so I am okay with it.

My Basic Skin Care Routine
My Basic Skin Care Routine
Launched in 1968, Clinique  premiered as the world’s first allergy tested, dermatologist-driven beauty brand at Saks Fifth Avenue in the New York. I I am currently on a basic Clinique skin care routine which works perfectly well on my combination skin (semi-oily T-zone and dry cheeks with the occasional breakouts on the forehead and chin). The brand is one of my favorites for its noticable clarifying effects without spending a big budget.  🌟Step 1: Take The Day Off Makeup Remover – 4.2oz / 6.7oz This make-up remover dissolves and removes my long-wearing makeup, even those layers of touch-ups added throughout the day. The liquid does not sting my face and feels gentle on my dry cheeks. To use: shake the bottle before using, then soaking a cotton ball or pad with remover. Cleanse one eye area at a time by applying to eye area and holding it for several seconds, then wipe with downward strokes. Repeat using fresh cotton ball if necessary. The remover can even tackle my long lasting lipstick (check my lipstick review) and waterproof mascara without drying my lips and eyes. Score! 🌟Step 2: Liquid Facial Soap Mild – 13.5oz I believe in a powerful yet gentle cleanser as a clean face is everything to having great and plump skin. Clinique liquid facial soap is a considered a cult product. It cleanses any remaining residue on my face without stripping my face dry. On days that I skip make-up products, just the facial soap does it for me. The pump dispenses also helps me obtain just the right amount to clean. To use: lather facial soap between palms and massage over face and throat. Rinse clean and pat the skin dry. I use this twice a day as it does not cause my skin to feel too tight. 🌟Step 3: Clarifying Lotion 2 – 6.7oz / 13.5oz / 16.5oz Already a must-have in my bathroom, Lotion 2 helps me to wipe away any dead skin and make-up residue for a tighter smoother skin. After using this for years, I am always assured that my face is indeed super clean, and it also helps to reduce the size of my pores. The lotion also helps the skin to better absorb the next step – moisturizer! Unlike other toners, Lotion 2 is not too drying for me and although it stings my face a little, I feel that it works best for my combination skin. To use: soak a cotton ball or pad, sweep over cleansed face and throat twice daily. 🌟Step 4: Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel – 1.7oz / 4.2oz / 6.7oz Like Lotion 2, this moisturizer is one of my all-time favorites and although I do switch between different brands, I find myself going back to this one if I just need a a suitable moisturizer for my skin. This formula is best for oily combination or oily skin types, hence it is perfect for me to use all over the face and neck during warmer months or coupled with a strong serum in winter. I can spread the oil-free lightweight lotion across my face easily without it feeling too greasy (even on my T-zone) and my skin absorbs it really quickly too. Its natural ingredients keep my skin moisturized without feeling oily for the whole day or night.
