How do you heal and treat your skin?
✨I’m gonna share with you my nighttime treatment my skin really appreciates, and how I wake up with much cleaner and radiant skin. ✨ For a very long time , I would always wake up with dull skin and uneven texture. There won’t be any radiance or glow , and its sort of demotivating to start the day like that. Acne wasn’t a big problem but it did occur few times a month and would always leave scars or blemishes. ✨ A while ago I came across a Acne Treatment oil called ‘Meltdown’ by @blume 💕 ✨ What is it? It’s an oil for Acne Prone Skin which you can use to prevent acne, clear acne and blemishes. It’s a blend of all natural ingredients. ✨ Key Ingredients Rosehip, Blue Tansy, Tamanu, Lavender, Black Cumin Seed ✨ My thoughts At nighttime, I usually cleanse my with @blume milk based face wash ‘Daydreamer’ . I really like it because its so creamy and gentle. It doesn’t irritate my eyes or skin. To use ‘Meltdown’ , I mix a few drops of this essential oil based serum with @milkmakeup moisturizer. It calms down any inflammation I have and its a perfect nighttime treatment to heal my skin. Now I wake up with much clearer skin which I can feel confident about and start my day. It really heals the skin overnight and any acne I have goes away in a week or so. Its been amazing to clean up the blemishes, and there are only a few areas left. Also, for the people who weren’t able to use @milkmakeup vegan moisturizer because its too rich, I think it would be a great idea to mix it with an oil/serum so it suits your skin. - - What’re your favourite nighttime treatments? My Favorite Cream Cleansers
🧼 Cream Cleansers are one of my favorite skincare products to purchase and try out. Why? I don’t know but boy do I love them. I have combo/dry skin and all of these cleansers leave my skin feeling clean and nourished and are lovely to use. (From left to right) 🧼 Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser - Formulated with manuka honey and goat milk this is a great cleanser for soothing and calming irritation. This has a rich, creamy consistency and lathers beautifully on the skin. This is probably my favorite cleanser of all time. 🧼 Holifrog Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash - This cleanser has a whole slew of barrier strengthening, hydrating and nourishing ingredients such as water lily, lotus flower, panthenol, blue-green algae, apricot kernel oil, sunflower seed oil, sodium PCA...the list just goes on and on. I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever seen such thoughtful ingredients lists in cleansers as I do with Holifrog. This one has a little more slip to it than the Kate Somerville and doesn’t lather quite as much and I LOVE that it comes in a pump. 🧼 Blume Daydreamer Organic Face Wash - This one has a similar consistency to the Holifrog cleanser and again I love that it comes in a pump. This cleanser contains soothing chamomile and antioxidant rich grapefruit extract. 🧼 Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Cleanser - I’ve been reaching for this one the most lately. This is a LOVELY cream cleanser. A rich cream cleanser that lathers nicely and has a good slip to it. This cleanser contains antioxidant rich grapeseed oil and fog milk as well as soothing oat milk and Milk’s patented hydrating Desert Milk.
Why I love Antioxidants - Skin Savers for Busy People
We all have demanding lifestyles. The signs of stress show up on your skin: sun damage, the effects of smoking and drinking alcohol, along with pollution, and combined with harsh exercise. All in all, our skin has a lot to cope with. My job is very full-on; this means I don’t have time or money to waste. Let’s get to the heart of the problem - because of our lifestyle factors free radicals form in our skin, like tiny time bombs that go off to damage healthy skin. We really don’t want these because they harm our proteins, DNA, healthy fats in cells and tissues, making us look old before our time. So the way to fight them off is with antioxidants. Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer Made from desert flower milk, fig milk, argan milk, all-vegan products it’s very nourishing full of antioxidants, and although it has a thick texture this absorbs easily, leaving my skin feeling soft, looking smooth, and feeling nourished. Recommended to those with normal and dry skin, using this made a difference in under two weeks of continual use. As a treat after a stressful week’s work, I bought myself Clarins Orchid Facial Oil. I had heard great things about it, so I tried it. I am so happy with the results I had to tell you about it. Clarins Orchid Facial Oil Made from 100% pure plant extracts full of essential oils, soothing Rosewood, Patchouli, and Blue Orchid extract; amazing properties that will revitalize, hydrate, and tone the skin. Hazelnut oil is used to lock moisture into the skin, leaving my face feeling soft and looking radiant. Now here comes the money shot - only apply to your face after using your moisturizer: it’s so effective. No more tired wrinkly skin in my house Clarins Extra-Firming Wrinkle Control - Anti-ageing night cream So we’ve done day time: but at night I love Clarins extra-firming wrinkle control night cream. Again great for all skin types, but what I really love is that it regenerates my skin while I’m sleeping. I’ve noticed over the last ten days of use that the loss of firmness and elasticity and the dullness has disappeared. I wake up with lovely radiant skin due to its antioxidant properties. It’s important to note that you pat the cream into the skin, instead of rubbing. Doing this stimulates the skin so the cream goes in deeper and the effects the next day are really noticeable.
1. THE INKEY LIST HYALURONIC ACID SERUM I love this product! It may or may not be replacing my holy grail some by mi aha-bha-pha serum😬. I actually just bought this product around 3/4 days ago and I can already notice a difference. Like all hyaluronic acid products, this is on the watery side. It’s fast absorbing and does a really good job of hydrating the skin without being sticky. I’d definitely recommend this product to everyone regardless of your skin type. 2. THE INKEY LIST Q10 SERUM One of my favorite products from the inkey list. I can apply this everyday without it clashing with my other serum ingredients. As someone with dry to normal skin, this adds a nice layer of hydration before my moisturizer. It’s non-sticky and absorbs beautifully into the skin. I’ve been using this product in the evenings for the last 3 months. It almost has the consistency of a light-weight lotion. I would without a doubt recommend this product. Q10 is such a great ingredient that everyone can benefit from. 3. THE INKEY LIST GLYCOLIC ACID EXFOLIATING TONER THE PRICE SAYS IT ALL. This is a light-weight liquid that you can either apply straight to your face or with a cotton pad. To avoid creating more waste I personally take a cotton pad and cut it in half. I use this product in the evenings to avoid my skin from becoming overly sensitized. I love using it since it exfoliates my skin while I’m sleeping, it’s worth it because it saves time, all you have to do is put it on and just let it do it’s thing. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is concerned about dark spots, uneven texture, and fine lines & wrinkles. 4. MILK MAKEUP VEGAN MILK MOISTURIZER I’m obsessed with this product. I have repurchased this product a total of 4 times and I really enjoy using it. I use this as my night time moisturizer which is what I find best for my skin type because it does have a thick consistency. Totally recommend this product to anyone who has more of a dry skin type.
Indie Lee Squalane Oil💦✨
INDIE LEE - Squalane Facial Oil This oil hydrates your skin all day long. It is a olive derived squalane that doesn’t clog pores. (Squalane not Squalene) Squalane exists in our natural bodies but decreases as we get older. I wanted to try this oil for so long since I saw it on the Indie Lee’s website. The texture is lightweight and doesn’t feel greasy once it is absorbed into skin. It has anti aging and anti inflammatory properties that helps acne. I have combination skin with fungal acne. I learned that most of oils are detrimental for fungal acne however squalane does not irritate fungal acne. I like that this oil doesn’t irritate my skin at all. Also it feels so lightweight on skin. I highly recommend this oil if you have fungal acne but still want to use oil. It’s so worth the time and effort to get this oil.

FAB for a reason!!
First Aid Beauty is one of the first beauty brands I began using when I decided to take my skin’s health seriously. The FAB acne clearing pads is the first product I purchased from the brand and has been a game changer in my skincare routine. The key ingredient is the salicylic acid that targets any excess oil production and diminishes whiteheads. The Oil Mattifying Gel has been my summer staple and kept my skin balanced. Now I will be honest and say that although this product works well, there are other gel moisturizers that I would reach for first because of how well they worked with my skin. Both products retail for $30, however I scored them at Marshalls for $10 each. I do feel that $30 is pricey for an average gel moisturizer, so I would only purchase it if it were on sale. But, I would DEFINITELY recommend purchasing the Acne Clearing Pads at retail price because they are THAT worth it!

hello all! 💓 so i’m not crazy about Kiehls because they have fragrance in a lot of their products and I generally stay away from that but I LOVE this moisturizer! the downsides are few- just that its $48 which is too expensive for most people and the percentage of salicylic acid is pretty high for daily use all over your face (1.5%). if you have dry skin, I think I’d steer clear 👀 i’ve been using this on and off for at least half a year and every time I use it, my acne seems to become much less inflamed very quickly! the texture is a lightweight cream but feels super hydrating nonetheless 🌟 I mentioned earlier there are usually fragrances in Kiehl’s products but this one doesn’t have any! 🎉 this product was mainly formulated to clear and prevent acne and I think it does the job well! I’d highly recommend this to someone whose skin doesn’t dry up easily or has hydrating serums! 🥰 Kiehl's - Breakout Control Acne Treatment Facial Lotion

Salicylic Acid: Acne’s Best Friend 🖤
I’ve suffered from acne off and on for years but last year it was at an all time low. I had a period in my life where my chin was breaking out so bad. As soon as one blemish would heal it seemed like two more would pop up. It was this time in my life I found one of my favorite skincare ingredients, salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a BHA (which is a chemical exfoliant) which loosens the “glue” bonds of dead skin cells to encourage exfoliation. It’s lipophilic which means it can penetrate through clogged pores and oil to help clean everything out (meaning it’s perfect for people like me who have oily skin!). One of my favorite products that spotlights this ingredient is the CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel . I completely contribute my chin being free of break outs thanks to this item. The gel consistency of it absorbs really easily into the skin. It comes in two sizes, the one above is .5 oz for $18 and it has lasted me months! I use it as a spot treatment so you only need a little bit. After I cleanse and tone my face I go in with this on spots I tend to break out and it helps calm the skin, clear any breakouts, and even prevents future break outs from happening. Another product with this ingredient is the GEORGETTE KLINGER - Acne Spot Relief which I’m not the biggest fan of. This has a cream consistency instead which I find myself having to work into my skin more for it to absorb. It comes in one size, 1 oz for $22. Another reason I’m not a fan is because it contains (and smells heavily of) tea tree which can potential be a irritant to the skin. With this quarantine going on my skin was breaking out very badly and it did calm down the redness and help heal the blemish. It’s just not my favorite consistency because it doesn’t absorb as well. Personally, the Clinique will be a forever repurchase for me. I find the formula a little more effective on the skin even though they both do what they claim to do. The gel consistency is a lot better for oily skin. I also tend to use more product than necessary with the cream than the gel so in the end your product is going to last you longer. I also don’t enjoy the smell of tea tree in the Georgette Klinger while the Clinique has no smell. Between the two the Clinique is my personal preference.

+Facial Oils for Oily & Acne Prone Skin?+
I made a post of this on my IG page and talked about whether oily skin and acne prone skin types can use facial oils. And the answer is YES! However you need to be cautious when looking for a facial oil. Therefore, I am sharing my current facial oils for oily and acne prone skin types (my skin type). I also have sensitive skin which I prefer facial oils that not only will moisturize but will soothe my skin. BEIGIC - REGENERATING OIL this oils is light and fast absorbent. Best to wear for everyday. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil Prickly pear screamed out to me which is why I had to purchase it. Prickly has great benefits for acne prone: it soothes and moisturizer and it is high in linoleic acid which is recommended to acne prone skin types. MOONLIT SKINCARE - Midnight Shift Overnight Facial Oil this one has a earthy smell; very relaxing and soothing to the skin. Containing ingredients that will help balance, regenerate and moisturize the skin. (I use this as my last step in skincare only when needed more emollient on my skin) These are my best 3 based of on my skin type reaction. Remember not all products fit all skin types even if we have the same skin type.

Live Probiotic Mist 🧪
This is the AO+ Mist from MotherDirt. It is a live probiotic spray that is meant to restore balance to problem, dry, oily and sensitive skin. It is meant to improve skin clarity as well as texture. This unpreserved product has live culture of bacteria to maintain your natural skin biome. I have combo skin that is very sensitive and deal with hormonal breakouts. I’ve been eyeing this for awhile as per recommendation of Caroline Hirons and a desire to have a science foundation in my skincare products. This is a newer product for me and I’ve already noticed significant changes in my skin in terms of irritation and breakouts. It’s a fine mist that you shake before use and gorgeously absorbs into skin. Their whole line seems to revolve around this in that the other products are meant to support the bacteria in this product. The idea is that we used to have these bacteria naturally but more recently, we don’t have the amount we used to due to indoor living and products that strip the skin of this. I’m so excited about this brand and this product specifically. It is $49 and 3.4 oz. This feels a bit pricey but for something that works, I’d definitely repurchase. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ MOTHERDIRT - AO+ Mist Live Probiotic Spray
