So I recently have started to this new look with my hair. I do a centre partition and make a low ponytail. Then I use a toothbrush and apply some of the got2b sculpting gel on it to fix all my baby hair and messy hair. And omg it does such a good. I sometimes use hairspray too but in this look I was out of my hair spray. I apply BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original

I WILL NOT REPURCHASE
For 2021, I have made a resolution to no longer purchase makeup and skincare from brands that are not cruelty-free. Subsequently, I have unfortunately had to abandon about half of my makeup and skincare products. While it is sad to give up products I loved and used for so long, I can’t bear the thought of continuing to purchase makeup from brands that do such horrific things to animals. I would rather take the time to research ethical dupes than to continue paying these companies to mistreat animals. Pictured are some of what used to be my absolute favourite products, and below I will list a handful of (predominantly drugstore) brands that are not cruelty-free. I know there are plenty more, so please feel free to add them in the comments. What to do with products you don’t like 🤷🏻♀️
You ever bought a product because of the brand you really like??? But somehow it doesn’t work for you. It happens to me all the time. I really love the Biosilk brand and I have been using their BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original shampoo for long times so thought this leave in conditioner would the same. Turns out it didn’t now. I still feel bad throwing away a good product also because I paid for that. Thank god my boyfriend is ok with using everything I don’t like to use anymore 😍🤗. It works on his hair and he love it 👍👍. It’s a win win situation 💕🙏
Keeping my blonde bright & shiny with orlandopita’s Ampli-tint Color Depositing Hair Mask & Recast Tinted Oil Spray Glaze. I’m always trying new products that will help to rid my hair of those brassy tones and the cool blonde ampli-tint mask just made it to the top of my list. I’m all about purple shampoos, but purple conditioners usually don’t do it for me. This product, however, actually does deposit enough pigment to make a serious dent in the warm tones in my hair. If you’re not blonde, Orlando Pita still has you covered with a range of shade options to keep your color bright (shown here in cool blonde & golden blonde).
I remember growing up wondering how all the beautiful people of the world got their hair to not be frizzy and manageable. Imagine my surprise when I found out about all the things you can put in your wet hair to make it dry beautifully. I've been on the search ever since to find great products that give me movie star hair. Randco haircare is one of the brands that I'm excited to have found. . They have all of these great products that really have great results. The Vicious Strong Hold Hairspray ($32) is a great flexible hold hairspray that doesn't leave your hair feeling sticky or stiff. I really love the Waterfall Moisture + Shine ($29) lotion is a great add in before you blow dry your hair. I always get compliments on my hair when I've used this. . One of the best finds from R+Co is their Trophy texture and shine spray ($18). After I curl my hair, I spray this in to give it that oomph I need.
Shea Moisture Curl Smoothie!
So ever since I started to get serious about my curly hair journey I’ve been on the hunt for good products. This product by SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie has been my go to for years now. I use it twice a week; Once on my wash day and then again the next day as a refresher. I use it immediately after the shower, with the gel of my choice, on my wash day. And then the next day I use only a quarter size with some water to just refresh my hair. This product helped me get my curl pattern back. It hydrated and gave life to my very heat damaged curls. I could immediately tell the difference after using this product. It has a thick consistency and it’s so good for you hair. It gives my hair a bouncy and shiny look while also hydrating it as well. It comes in a big container so you’re not likely to run out of it soon so I would definitely say it’s worth every dollar. Since it is a smoothie it is packed with amazing nutrients for your hair and you’re not likely to run out of it soon because a small amount goes a very long way!

My natural hair can be a doozy sometimes! I'm relaxed but my hair is so damn thick yet still fine at the same time. Plus it's porous. So I'm prone to dryness & breakage. My hair's worst enemies! Recently, I started using the chihaircare Keratin range & I've noticed such an improvement in the texture & quality of my hair. For starters, I don't experience nearly as much breakage as I used to. Which is helping my hair get thicker 🙄& hopefully retain some good length too. I've also noticed a DRASTIC difference in the way my hair holds on to moisture now. My strands are the most thirsty lil things. I can actually go a few days without moisturizing & my hair isn't drier than the Sahara. 🙌🏾 I can't recommend this line enough! This is the line you need to try if you're struggling with breakage & moisture retention.
This is a great detangler, it mists so beautifully and doesnt leave your hair feeling sticky, stiff and doesnt smell overpowering. It truly helps brush my hair through better, even with my super dry bleached hair!

MARRAKESH - Oil Hair Styling Elixir This oil is absolutely amazing. It leaves my hair silky and smooth without feeling oily or weighed down. Keeps strands in place after styling. Whether you’re curling or blow drying, no greasy residue or sticky feel. Definitely worth it just for the shine your hair is left with. ✨ In terms of packaging, some products you have to pour out and potentially waste. A pump is absolutely necessary! And you only need one small pump to go a long way. This should lasts years.
