so i recently bought the PEACH & LILY - Super Reboot Resurfacing Mask
Next on my list to review....
Here's my latest skin haul awaiting to arrive in the mail. I'll be trying and reviewing to give you my truthful opinion on how these work for me and why I think they are (or are not) a good product. Have you personally tried any of these? Sound off in the comments your thoughts. Give me time to get through each of these products since I'll be trying them out for atleast a week at a time.
Two new additions I have been obsessing over. 💕 ⠀⠀ My wallet questions whether PEACH & LILY - Super Reboot Resurfacing Mask is worth the splurge. It knows I can purchase The Ordinary’s AHA BHA for a fraction of its price but what it doesn’t know is how much my skin loves the Super Reboot. I’ve only used it a few times and so far I can tell that it is gentler on my skin (no post-redness) and it helps with my texture and dullness immediately. Oh and it’s hydrating. The Ordinary’s may be cheaper but it leaves my face red, my skin is left feeling tight, and it requires multiple uses to help with my texture. However, despite all that, TO’s still works effectively. So, I’m thinking my face > my wallet, and I may have to gently break the news to my checking account. ⠀⠀ When I am looking for a sunscreen, my only two main requests are for it to not leave my skin greasy like a pizza and to leave no white-cast. Normally it’s one or the other so I never really found a sunscreen that I enjoy applying...until I tried A'pieu - Pure Block Natural Daily Sun Cream SPF45 PA+++ . It has only been a week since I’ve started using it but it has satisfied both my requests and it has a nice, subtle citrusy scent that’s super refreshing! (Wanted to note that my old sunscreen was Supergoop Play Everyday SPF 50 and my boyfriend always commented on my greasy face. So far, he has yet to say anything about this sunscreen.) ✨
Babyfacial Not Your Fave? Try This New Peel!
Whether it be because of the brand, the potency, or the texture, some folks just don’t love Drunk Elephant Babyfacial. But some substitutes leave a lot to be desired- either they’re irritating, or too simple, or the texture makes everything a mess. Insert PAULA'S CHOICE - 25% AHA + 2% BHA Exfoliant Peel : a fantastically well-formulated substitute for the cult fave facial. I’m a huge DE fan, but I have to admit, I reach far more for PC’s shimmery purple goo! • Compare/Contrast: Like DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask , the Paula’s Choice peel contains a 25% AHA cocktail alongside 2% BHA, both formulated at a low pH (PC: 3.5-3.9, Babyfacial: 3.5-3.6) so that the acids can function optimally. PC incorporates 8.4% glycolic acid, 7.1% lactic acid, 5% mandelic acid, 2.5% malic acid, 2% tartaric acid, 2% salicylic acid, a variety of humectants and emollients, plus antioxidants and skin-soothing ingredients like licorice root extract, bisabolol, and allantoin. DE doesn’t specify the quantities of acids in it, but considering the position of the acids in the INCI list, glycolic acid is the most present, with lactic acid and citric acid below the 2% salicylic acid. They also include humectants, emollients (like marula oil), antioxidants, as well as soothing aloe, prickly pear extract, green tea leaf extract, allantoin, and licorice root extract. I didn’t find any literature that supported the exfoliating claims of the included pumpkin enzyme so 🤷🏽♀️ But still, both tout great ingredient lists! • Thoughts: Both products deliver on promises of a deep exfoliating treatment that leaves skin soft and smooth, as well as visibly evened skin tone and a more luminous complexion. But I find Babyfacial is too abrasive to use more than 1-2 times per month for me... the high glycolic acid content makes it incredibly potent -think med spa peels- but something more suitable to skin that tolerates strong exfoliants, and mature skin that benefits from stimulated fibroblasts for collagen production. Paula’s Choice’s Peel is a more solid try for sensitive skin and exfoliant newbies- the cocktail of multiple acids make for a more gentle peel, especially since citric acid (which PC forgoes but DE includes) can be a bit sensitizing. I didn’t experience any tingling whatsoever with this shimmery purple mask and used it twice in one month without issue, making me think it’d be a good weekly peel for most folks! Is it a Dupe? I don’t believe in dupes unless the formulas are identical. PC’s new peel is a great substitute for Babyfacial or the Ordinary’s Vampire Peel, being far more gentle and an overall better experience, in my opinion.

Not worth the hype
Am I the only one who thinks this 'Jet Lag' mask is somewhat overrated ? I don't like the way SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask is advertised. Many buy it because it's name is appealing (& perhaps buy it bc they think you can wear it on the plane, like I did) and it's trending, but it's literally just a thick mask. The founders of this product claim to use it as an "overnight mask" or as a "hydrating primer under makeup", but I'd disagree: 1) It is way too thick to be used as a primer and I don't see how any makeup would stay on top of this mask without moving around. 👎🏻 (also it just feels like my face is being suffocated and needs to breathe) 2) It contains peppermint oil, orange peel oil, and corn mint oil which are known to cause irritation to the skin. 🚫 (if left on too long) Many claim to love this product but if you have sensitive, easily irritated, or acne prone skin it's not the best product to use. I'd only leave it on the face for 10 minutes and follow by a thorough rinse. I will honestly say that it does leave your face looking hydrated and glowy when it's on the skin. But there are better products out there that are cheaper (luckily I got the travel size). Again I'm not saying it caused acne or redness on my skin but it easily can if I were to leave it on too long. I will say that the color and packaging are super cute and I love the aesthetic Summer Fridays is going for. What are your thoughts about this mask?

Great Mask if you deal with redness!💛🤎
This mask is great for people who deal with redness with your the skin. Also some ingredients I like in it are Glycerin which helps bring moisture from the air and brings it in to your skin. Another ingredient is Camellia Sinensis leaf extract(Green Tea) to Help calm skin and also helps with redness! And many more beneficial Plant extracts. This is a great product to check out! This also works on any skin type. 💛🤎🧡I'm from - Mugwort Mask :Quote of the Day: Go On Your Own Path Even If You Only Live For a Day- Park Jimin(BTS)

Not worth the hype: honey mask
My skin is dry and sensitive. This mask is supposed to hydrate your skin, calm inflammation, and help to soothe acne. It has a very thick texture but it’s not sticky. As you massage it on the skin, it goes from yellow to a milky color and starts to warm on your skin. I absolutely hate this product. You see it everywhere on Instagram but omg this did nothing for my skin and if anything, irritated it. The warming sensation sometimes burned and my skin would sting even after washing it off. Wasn’t hydrating at all. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and would give it 0 stars if I could. #cheriecreator FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask

All of my honey life
I admittedly have an obsession with honey in products and honey in general. There was a time I would mask with just raw manuka honey. They were super effective at the time but just not always sustainable...I should pick that back up again though... But this mask is such an amazing sensory experience. It goes on LIKE honey but once rubbed out it becomes something else, a true mask. It warms your face and the antioxidant ingredients fight off bacteria and also hydrate your skin. It doesn’t dry down, which I really love. I keep it on a few extra minutes because I enjoy the experience so much. The next morning my face generally looks more hydrated and smoother. It’s helped a lot with calming down irritated acne as well. Would recommend 5 out of 5. There was always a lot of hype about this mask and I believe it!

Holy Grail! This Is So Beautiful And Effective😍😍😍😍
I have dry and sensitive skin. For me, it was love at first sight with Herbivore Botanicals as I totally adore their packaging. Really a HUGE plus for me!!! This HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask has a minty scent and smells like herbal. It irritates a little when first applied but improves after a few minutes. It is absorbed quickly and dries up in 5 minutes. It does an amazing job at reducing acne and bumps and gets rid of mine in merely four days. My skin becomes clean and soft after using it for just a day. It claims to have AHA&BHA，but it’s mostly natural product derived and so I think the amount of AHA BHA in here may be low. It’s not drying and it works well on my sensitive skin. Deduct one star because of the price. It's a little expensive for me as it's used up fast. It's a brand under Clean at Sephora. Instructions: Apply a small amount after cleansing your face, enough to form a thin layer on the entire face. It dries up after being left for 5 minutes and you can wipe it off with a cotton pad. (the directions say to limit it to 5 minutes if you have sensitive skin. maybe you should expand the time if your skin is oily) This mask contains acid, so you need to hydrate your skin after using it.

FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I received a set of Farmacy minis from one of my besties last week! I've heard such incredible things about these products and was super excited to give them a try. After a couple long days wearing a mask at work, I decided to try out the Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask. I must say, Farmacy has made an UNREAL first impression on me with this stuff! What I love about it: ✨ As expected from its name, this mask contains raw honey. Honey is great for our skin - it's main helpful property is that it balances the bacteria on the skin, and can be an extremely effective anti-acne ingredient. Honey is also a pro at cell regeneration, aiding your skin in healing itself from wounds, trauma, and imperfections. ✨ This mask warms up as you slather it onto your skin. It's relaxing and rejuvenating, and so useful in helping your face unwind at the end of the day. I personally find that the warming feature lends a hand to hydrating my skin properly. ✨ Glycerin and vitamin B are mega-smoothing hydrators. Glycerin will seep into your face and attract the kind of good moisture we're all craving, while vitamin B will make you feel renewed after 15 minutes of having this baby on. ✨ Farmacy is a cruelty, synthetic fragrance, phthalate, paraben, and mineral oil-free company! They're strong in their beliefs of using nature to create cutting-edge skincare products, and I love their ethos of attempting to be as environmentally-conscious as possible. All in all, I was so stoked on this mask after using it just once. I'm planning to implement it as a 2-3x per week event in my skincare routine, giving myself a lil R&R whenever I'm feeling dry. I have a very strong feeling that this mask is going to become my sidekick once we're into colder months and my skin throws a fit, leaving me with dry spots. I can't wait to become best friends with it over the winter. ☃️ Have you guys used anything from Farmacy? Are there any products from them I need to try?! Leave me a comment with your recommendations! 📬
