ok soo last time i posted an update was on aug 8. here are the photos aug 9-15!😀 current routine so i went back to using the cerave sa cleanser because the texture hd gotten a bit worse and i originally had thought the purging period was over but i was wrong. and at some point you can see how irritated the bumps looked because i actually had started picking at them lol i know really bad i don’t recommend. so things had gotten worse but are now getting better :D and you can see how that big read bump above my eyebrow had started to go away thanks to Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Spot Gel i recently repurchased the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Creambecause i was running out of the boscia moisturizer which im currently using so im really excited to incorporate that back in my routine! ill keep posting later in hopes of my bumps going away! i hope these post have helped at least someone 💗 like and save! xo melanie

SkinenvybyArianaI’ve recently been trying to do everything in my power to get rid of my fungal acne. I’m still in the process of clearing it up, but what I’ve learned is that Glycerin is a huge culprit of triggering it. Which sucks because it’s almost in every cleanser/moisturizer. I’m so happy to see that’s it’s becoming recognized now. Keep up the good work girl!!

dewybabyyes ive heard but actually there was a studdy showing that glycerin does NOT promote the growth of malassezia unless paired with lipids. so just make sure the rest of your products are fungal acne safe and you should be good to go!!

Tips to Get the Most of Curology 🔥 🌟
Thanks for my goodies @curology! So happy to be a part of the #Curologyambassador family! 💗 Curology doesn’t work 100% of the time for everyone. As you know, skin issues are much more than skin deep. If you have a hormonal imbalance, topicals aren’t going to be the best for you. But they can still help with texture and hyperpigmentation. My tip: Many users can tolerate Curology every night. BUT if you’re new to any of its ingredients (like tretinoin), you might want to start slow. So you might find one to begin once a week for two weeks. Then, twice a week. Move up to three times a week. And then try it 4-5 times a week. First two week: Use twice a week (M/F) Third-four week: Use three times a week (M/W/F) After first month: Use four or five times a week (M/W/F/S) HOWEVER, this timeline only works if your skin is tolerating it. How do you know it is? We’ll make sure you DO NOT have any of these: Sudden dryness Redness Irritation Even if you can tolerate 4-5 times a week, I recommend you give your skin a day or two to relax and use those days for masks and moisturizers instead. 🌟 PD: I’m linking to my Curology page (I don’t get any commissions) for anyone who wants to try two months for FREE! #curologyambassador

quarantine empties!
so as we all know..... we’re in a global pandemic. and while some people focused on loosing weight, learning a new skill, or maybe playing animal crossing, ive put my mind on using up some of the products ive had laying around for a bit. the first product i finished up was DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum i first used this serum on december 5th and would occasionally stop using it. but may 2nd would be the last she would pump her luxurious insides😪 next was DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream like b hydra i first used her on december 5th and her last few pumps were on may 2nd. i was kinda shocked to find out that id run out of this product on the same day as b hydra but i mean... oh well. then we have FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oil-Control Moisturizer i first used this moisturizer on april 6th and her death date is undisclosed 😳 i really don’t remember when i finished her up but i can only assume it was around the beginning of june 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk sowy and finally.... the moisturizer that took me the longest to finish was boscia - Green Tea Oil-Free Moisturizer i had first gotten this moisturizer for my birthday but had started to use it on march 12th. and finally finished her last night soooo on august 19. throughout her time i had started to use other moisturizers like the fab ulta repar oil control. then i finished up the drunk elephant moisturizer, then back to the fab moisturizer then i bought the naturium moisturizer aaahhhhh so much shopping i know. but i recently has gone back to the boscia moisturizer to recover my skin from a fungal acne breakout but now that shes gone, FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream will take over her position 😀 like and save! xo melanie

oily skin & don’t know how to manage? I got you
this post is for all the people who have oily skin and sometimes just don’t know how to deal with it! well i’m here for some tips! I have oily/combo skin and I’ve learnt some important info during my skincare journey that I would love to share with you all 🤗 1. still moisturise it is super important for people with oily skin to keep up with moisturising ! you may think that your skin is hydrated and doesn’t need any extra moisture, but it still really does. if you don’t moisturise, or use products to keep your skin hydrated, your skin can overcompensate with releasing it’s natural oils, which in hand, can make your skin more oily 2. don’t be afraid of oils whether this is oil cleansing or any certain type of oil (rosehip, squalane etc), don’t be hesitant to use these products just because of your skin type. for me, oils have made a huge difference to my skin, especially oil cleansing! one thing to remember with oil cleansing, is that oils attract oils, and therefore are oil soluble. products like this help to get rid of grease, blackheads etc and can be great for oily skin! 3. use products targeted for oily skin I know that this one is quite self explanatory, but here are some products that helped my oily skin become more manageable! - niacinamide. this ingredient is amazing for oily skin ! it helps to decrease oil production from within the skin. my fav product is NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% , but I also don’t mind The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% -exfoliation. now with this I don’t mean physical exfoliation, but chemical exfoliation! my favourite exfoliant has to be PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator this one is my HOLY GRAIL product of them all ! I have many posts on this product so be sure to check those out for an in depth description. - clay face masks. these are good for absorbing oil and giving your face a matte finish. some of my favs are PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Balancing Oil-Absorbing Mask AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay I hope this helps and if you have any questions, feel free to comment 🌟🥰

*DUPE* for glossier’s zit stick!
so I splurged a few months ago on some, whad’ya know? glossier products! one of those items was the zit stick aka *breakout eraser* • the tag mentions that it’s not good for very sensitive skin or folks sensitive to benzoyl peroxide as it’s 5% BP (0.12 fl oz, 3.5ml) • it also mentions not to use this product when you’re using other topical acne medications at the same time due to increase in dryness or irritation (see a doctor if this happens!) • it’s also made with tea tree oil & capryloyl salicylic acid to help shrink blemishes & minimize swelling RESULTS: honestly it helped decrease some of the pimple but it’s not the strongest or super fast-acting as I’d hoped ~ and it took many days of usage to see the best results and it didn’t completely make it go away either ~ the pimple still usually lasted a week or so (as I usually used it on hormonal acne from periods) :/ ALTERNATIVE: drugstore buy: neutrogena rapid clear stubborn acne medicine spot treatment gel (1 fl oz), I’ve used this for literally yeaaars and it never fails. It may not be the absolute strongest acne spot (it is 10% BP though) treatment out there but just letting you know whats worked better for me ~ $7.49 @ target! *notes: glossier zit stick is cruelty free 🐰 & made without: gluten, soy, or dairy & neutrogena rapid clear is labeled as a *clean* product @ target! have you tried either of these products?? lemme know in the comments if you agree ☺️

Opinion on this Inkey List trio?
Hi everyone! I’m new to the skin care world. I used to just get drug store acne face washes, treatments, etc. but my acne never really went away completely. Ever. I never really had a fixed routine, every time my breakouts got worse, I would use Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Spot Gel and it did make significant improvements! However, I noticed some dry spots on my cheeks and I didn’t use it every day. I have combination skin, that is not sensitive at all and reacts positively fairly quickly to most things. After doing a bit of research and becoming a Hyram fan, I decided it was time for a full skin care routine, I do have quite a bit of time on my hands anyway. I recently bought THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum, THE inkey LIST - Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Tonerand THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Blemish + Blackhead Serum and a few other products that are compatible with each other. I just wanted to know your opinion on the combination of BHA and AHA — with the glycolic acid toner and the BHA serum. The glycolic acid toner, based on other reviews is pretty gentle exfoliation and I do have thick skin so I think it would be fine to use everyday. Would the combo cancel each other out or be twice as effective? Should I alternate between them every day and get a different toner as well? What do you think? Thank you!

CeraVe Renewing SA cleanser - Review
CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin Hey guys I’m going to be reviewing one of the newer cleansers from CeraVe. I’m going to be giving some background information on it, and of course my personal experience. Leave a like if you enjoyed! Background information: One of the main ingredients of this product is Salicylic Acid. (If you couldn’t tell y the products name) Salicylic Acid is an ingredient commonly used in products that want to deal with blackheads, pore problems, and any sort of irritation. The ingredient is very soothing to the skin, and is good at digging deep into your pores and getting all the gunk out. It is also a form of chemical exfoliation which is really healthy for your skin if you do it not too often. Other ingredients in this product include Niacinamide, and glycerin. Glycerin is a hydrating ingredient while Niacinamide focuses more on oil production and pore problems. My personal experience: I started using this product late August 2020. I was super excited to use this light chemical exfoliant cleanser for such a long time, and I was happy I finally had gotten my hands on it. The first time I had washed my face with it i could feel the texture of my skin smoothen. This cleanser is very gentle, and even though the ingredient list is super simple, it’s very effective and does a good job with your skin concerns. Over time blackheads seemed to fade away more, and the texture of my skin continued to get smoother. I’d recommend this product to anyone who had blackhead problems or pore problems, or anyone with acne in general. It’s super light and gets rid of excess makeup if your micellar water or makeup balm didn’t clean off all your makeup. I love this and will be repurchasing in the future. Salicylic acid is a life saver ingredient, and I’m sure it will work for others as good as it worked for me! They sell this on Ulta, Sephora, and at Target! Try it out guys and let me know what you think!

My Winter 2021 Skincare Routine
Hey guys, I’m going to be reviewing my 2021 winter skincare routine! PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block This sunscreen is my go to. It’s so light and amazing, and really does the job. Keeping those UV rays without even being able to tell I have a sunscreen on. This sunscreen leaves no white cast either. Amazing! Mineral sunscreens are very sustainable as well. CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin I’ve been using this Salicylic Acid based cleanser for a couple months now, and can for sure tell the difference of the texture of my skin, and my pores. I’ll be also posting a full review of this product as well. No fragrance, and gets all the dirt and excess makeup off my skin. Amazing and no bad reactions! The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I’ve already reviewed this serum, so you can scroll down my account to see my opinion, but it is amazing. Super hydrating, light, a little tacky feel at first (takes a second to absorb into my skin) but afterwards I have a plump and hydrated feeling throughout my skin! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I started using this serum late July 2020. So far, no bad thoughts about it. This serum is super light, and really makes a difference. I’ll also be posting a full review on this product. A big difference in my pores since before I started using it. Less clogged pores, and a much smoother texture skin in problematic areas. CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream This is my favorite winter moisturizer. It’s super thick, and absorbs well into my skin. It leaves me skin with a nice and soft feel to it. Using this moisturizer during the winter is amazing because it leaves my skin very hydrated throughout the whole day without any dry patches! CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream I’ve been using this since the summer of 2020, and I haven’t noticed much of a difference. You could probably just use your moisturizer as an eye cream, because I can’t tell a difference in my skin. I’m not going to waste it though and I’ll finish it off. Otherwise just use moisturizer as an eye cream. Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant Lastly, my favorite lip balm. The best way to keep your lips moisturized all year long is to use this product. I haven’t had any cracked lips or lip problems in years since I started using this product. Amazing and will never stop using Aquaphor!

3 products I’m LOVING this week!!
I thought I’d step on here and give my 3 fav products as of right now! First up, elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 I actually had this product recommended to me from my dermatologist! And... it’s amazing. I got the tinted version but there is a untinted one as well. At first I was nervous about the tint but actually really really like it! It blends well with my skin tone and adds a dewy light weight finish that I also look for in a product. I don’t wear foundation, but this almost feels like one. It adds a nice layer of light coverage! Lastly, it is really really good for your skin! As it says on the container, it has niacinamide and some other great ingredients so “calms and protects acne prone skin” Next we have, MAYBELLINE - Cheek Heat Gel-Cream Blush This has been a huge mainstay in my makeup routine! I love a good cream blush and this lives up to all my expectations. It’s dewy, bouncy, glowy, and has a beautiful pigment. I have in the shade “coral ember” which is a beachy coral! This product is great over makeup or alone, (I use it alone) I would say that a little goes a long way! And, this is a great dupe for Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek ColorOverall cheek heat is a really great product! Last but certainly not least... ESTĒE LAUDER - Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Now this actually isn’t a very popular product however it works wonders for me!! It is a very gentle but very effective eye makeup remover. (I use on the rest of my face too!) This removes even waterproof mascara which is good for me! Maybe I’ll do a post on my fav mascaras in the future 😉. For me, this is much better than GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover which I found leaves my eyes oily and took out some of my lashes 😬. But with estee’s, I never woke up with leftover mascara in the morning so it is very very effective!! Thank you so so much for reading!! Let me know what you think of these product down below! 😁

Week 7
Week 7
It’s been about a week since my last update. I noticed I have less bumps, but nothing drastic. It’s one of those things only ‘you’ can notice. But anyway, I wanted to add the products I have been using regularly for these past few weeks and months for some products. The first slide is what I use in the morning and the second slide is what I use at night. For mornings, I wash my face with the low PH cleanser and use an SPF moisturizer everyday. I’ve been using these products since before I started using Differin. I haven’t had any problems with either of these products. At night I use the Cetaphil normal to oily skin cleanser and then apply Differin all over my face. I wait a few minutes and then apply my CeraVe night cream. I started using these products when I started Differin. I also haven’t had any problems with these products. I wasn’t sure what products to use when I started my Differin journey so hopefully this helps someone navigate their way through so many products out there. Cerave SA renewing Cleanser doing to my face !
So I brought a new product for my face and I think it’s making my face even worse. Every morning and night I use the CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin and then after that I would moisturize and put DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel I had gotten pimples the next day but they are gone now so 3x a week I put the CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin but after the 2nd time using it I put my lotion and my whole face just started burning. Now I’m not sure if my skin is sensitive or something else. Should I keep using it ?

I am concerned because I think I have fungal acne but can’t figure out how to get rid of it. I am a competitive swimmer so I am in the pool each day but still have really oily skin. I am currently using the cerave foaming facial cleanser for oily to normal skin. Then I go in with sunscreen in the morning or a oil free moisturizer at night. I used to have the WORST acne on my forehead, along with a bunch of tiny bumps. I’ve been using curology for 2 years now, but I starts seeing insane results after 2 months :) CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Curology - Curology formula
