My Current AM Routine
I feel like my routine is always changing due to purchasing new products to try and review, however here is my current AM routine. HOLI FROG - Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash (fragrence free) I've only just recently started using this, but I will say I like this one. I find it similar to LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser Holifrog is a little more hydrating since it feels like a lotion than a cleanser. The La Roche cleanser is a good dupe if you need something a little cheaper and at the convince stores. If you have dry skin I highly recommend Holifrog, but if you have normal to oily skin and are just experiencing some sensitivity (like your skin barrier) then I would go with La Roche. COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence (fragrence free) I really enjoy this product because I feel like I am getting a good size value for the price. It also doesn't feel any different than any other HA essence or serum that I've tried (one being a very expensive one). Krave - Great Barrier Relief (fragrence free) This guy is definitely my holy Grail and I have reviewed it before. I use it daily due to my dry skin, but if you have normal to oily skin I definitely recommend having this on hand especially if you like to try new products and if it possibly irritates you or if you over do actives. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Potent-C Vitamin C Power Serum (fragrence free) I've also done a review already on this one. It is very potent and has a stable form of vit C, however unless you are trying to severely even out skin tone or remove dark spots, I would not spend the money. It is definitely pricey (almost $100). If you really need the potency of this product, then go ahead. Otherwise if you are just looking to fix minor issues/use it to go along with your spf, I'd go with a cheaper (still stable) product likeTHE inkey LIST - Vitamin C Serum 30ml(I have not personally tried this inkey list product, but have heard good things about it's ingredients as well as being a reasonable price) FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream (fragrence free) I am really enjoying this new product. It is a step up fromCeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream which I also love for the simplicity and price value, but this one has even more soothing ingredients such as colloidal oatmeal. I like to use this in the morning because it doesn't make my face overly shiny before I head out the door and it also goes well under make up (with a primer of course) #Deoproce - Hyaluronic Cooling Sun Gel spf 50[products]#[FourStars] (NOT fragrence free) I just recently bought this sunscreen and it is my first Korean spf. I love how easily it goes on and it gives me enough glow without looking greasy. My complaint would be that it's not fragrence free, but I'm happy it got me started. Next I'll likely try Krave - The Beet ShieldorTHANK YOU FARMER - Sun Project Water Sun Cream
Recently I’ve gone through a lot of products and emptied a couple favourites, so I’ve changed up some products in my routine and thought I would do an updated day time routine. My first step is always cleansing, I haven’t gone through my comfort zone - comfort zone Essential Cleansing Milk but I’m pretty close to done, over half way, but it should last me at least another month. Next I spray my face with the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha and immediately put on the Dr Dennis Gross - Stress Rescue Super Serum with Niacinamide (📍). I’ve only been using this Youth to the People spay for a month, but I’ve already seen it make a huge difference in my glowiness and hydration through the day. The serum has also improved my skin a lot as my skin is sensitive to vitamin c, this has the brightening (niacinamide) and the antioxidant protection (goji fruit) that a vitamin c serum would have, without the irritation. Next I put on my The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG (📍) eye cream/serum, this helps to de puff my under eyes in the morning. My last three steps are to moisturizer with the CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Instant Brightening Moisturizer (📍), apply my current SPF which is the THANK YOU FARMER - Sun Project Water Sun Cream and moisturizer my lips with the Glossier. - Balm Dotcom . I also want to start a new system in my posts, products with a 📍behind it on my posts, I received for free, as I’m trying to be more conscious of that. I’ve gone back on past posts and utilized this system. Thanks for reading! 📍= product was sent to me for free
The most elegant & heavy-duty sunscreen yet!
If you frequent any Asian Beauty subs you know you’ve heard of this sunscreen! TheKanebo - ALLIE Extra UV Gel Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ is touted as a holy grail for many in the sunscreen community. But is it worth the $25-$35 dollars it retails for? PROS Water-proof! It will stay put when swimming and won’t wash off without some serious effort. It creates almost a film-like barrier that you can feel on your skin when you first put it on but disappears after a few minutes of wear and I suspect this film is what makes it so good at protecting you from the elements. Sweat-proof! I actually put on this sunscreen when hiking. It’s pretty sweat-proof though I wouldn’t be able to tell you for how long since I always reapply after 2 hours. Resistant to friction! You know the feeling when you just put on your sunscreen and now you have to take off your t-shirt or put on a hat and your sunscreen comes off when it touches your face? No more! As long as the sunscreen is dry, it won’t come off! CONS If you have deep skin of color, you should consider skipping this. I wear foundation shade MUFE Y405, for reference and the white cast is visible on me. You have to double cleanse really well in order to take off the sunscreen before bed. This sunscreen is a workhorse and not easily broken down. If you have skin that will be easily irritated by too much cleansing, or haven’t found the right cleansing products for you, consider skipping this sunscreen. When rubbing in, you must work quickly and in thin layers. Additionally you have to let the layers dry completely between applications. The friction-proof qualities of this product make it so that if you accidentally let a big glop dry it will dry thick and white and will be difficult to spread out. Make-up can be difficult to spread on top, depending on the formula. For example, my wax RCMA foundation is easy to apply on top of this. But my sticky cream blush is not and will apply streaky. 💰💰💰. At $30ish for 40g you are not getting a lot of bang for your buck. Summary If you have a deep skin tone, definitely don’t get this unless you are willing to put up with the white cast. And honestly, as excellent as it is, I would really only recommend it for outdoor activities or when you need something heavy-duty due to the steep price point. This is the Supergoop! Sunscreen mouse with spf 50! This is my all time favorite sunscreen it’s so light weight and melts into the skin leaving no white caste or gray sheen of color. I moved onto my second bottle a couple months and the first bottle lasted me 6 months with daily use. It’s got 3.4 fl. Oz of product so definitely worth the price of 34 dollars. The product is discontinued but they have the body mouse which I love just as much and can be used on the face of course. Supergoop! - Super Power Sunscreen Mousse Why it’s my favorite: -REEF SAFE!! - Includes blue sea extract which protects your skin from free radicals (free radicals speed up skin aging and soak up the lipids in your skin. You basically don’t want that bear your skin. - Has coconut oil in it so it’s very moisturizing You can find this product on www. Dermstore.com

100% clean sunscreen for Summer
Sure, the world may feel like it's upside down at the moment, but summer is still on the horizon; although the getaways may look a little different nowadays, the sun is just as scorching—even from your bedroom window so let’s talk sunscreen. Of the 1,400+ sunscreens tested by the EWG, only 5% met the safety standards and over 40% were listed as potentially contributing to skin cancer. The other scary thing is of the 16 common ingredients, only 2 have been proven safe — Zinc and titanium dioxide. Trust me, I know how confusing it can be to see buzz words from brands to make you think that you are making a safe decision. When it comes to protecting your skin you want sunscreen that will reflect the sun and not one that absorbs the sun. It’s almost impossible to find a mineral sunscreen without a white cast and one that feels super sticky. By nature, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide have a hue and a texture that’s part of their chemical properties. "Zinc and titanium are white minerals. The smaller the particle size and and the less percentage of the mineral, the less white it will look," noted holistic dermatologist Cybele Fishman, M.D., explaining why most mineral screens have a white cast to some degree. That said, I love Raw Element’s tinted option that’s far less chalky than others. Raw Elements is the best natural zinc oxide sunscreen for you if you're a highly athletic outdoor enthusiast and serious about wanting a 100% natural and clean sunscreen.

A GREAT Sunscreen 💛
This mineral sunscreen by Versed is hands down amazing. This sunscreen has a SPF of 35 and is described as having three way protection against environmental pollution, electronic pollution, and the sun. This product is also vegan and cruelty free ( something I love seeing in my skin care products💕). I found this formula to be very interesting due to its orangey color, but it left no trace of color on my skin and blended in nicely. It’s also very lightweight compared to most sunscreens so I applied a little more moisturizer before hand and was left with a very natural, slightly dewy finish which I loooove. The price for this sunscreen is a tad steep, being about $22 for 1.7 fl. oz. But it’s one of the best mineral sunscreens I’ve come across so I’m totally fine with the price. Overall I give this product 5 out of 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 VERSED - Daily Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum

Ideal SPF for Dry Skin🌞
The struggle for the right SPF is so real 😩. Up until now, every sunscreen I have tried has left me with a horrible white cast and it was not cute. I bought this product on impulse and I loveee it!! I know a lot of us avoid using SPF because either we forget or cause of the white cast issue. However, this product goes on so smoothly and leaves no residue. Although, I didn't read the packaging and didn't realize how watery this product actually is (I mean it says fluid so clearly I actually can't read😂). Despite that, this product is a great SPF for dry skin like mine. This product claims to effectively provide UVA/UVB protection while hydrating your skin. It's been great for my dry skin! What works for me may not work for you, and vice versa! Always do your research before trying new products! 💕
