Best moisturizers for every skin type

Moisturizer Monday! 🌼The first moisturizer is the Ultra Repair Cream from @firstaidbeauty. Over a month ago, I had a patch of really dry skin on one side of my face, and while other products helped soothe my skin, this was the only one that actually healed and protected my skin. It has colloidal oatmeal with helps soothe skin this making this is definitely a must for my skincare collection. 🌼 Next is the @bliss moisturizer which I also like, it’s an inexpensive moisturizer for people with oily skin, I use it on nights that I have used thicker products on my skin. 🌼 The Niacinamide Gel Cream 5% from @naturiumskin is amazing! This is a great moisturizer for when you go back to the basics with a cleanser, a moisturizer and sunscreen. It’s lightweight and just skins into my skin. 🌼 Finally is the Natural Moisturizing Factors from the Ordinary, this is great for skincare beginners and just getting into understanding what they want from skincare. 🌼 What is your favorite moisturizer? . . . . #moisturizermonday #moisturizer #naturium #naturiumskin #firstaidbeauty #blissskincare #theordinary #skincarecommunity #skincarecollection #skincare101#affordableskincare #skincare #skincareroutine #skincareproducts #skincareblog #skincareblogger #ihaveathingforskincare #vitaminc #selfcare #glowingskin #deciem #skincarecommunity #skinessentials #skinessential #skincarereview #skincareregimen #skincareaddict #skininsta #hyperpigmentation #acne #discoverunder1k

Brand Spotlight: BLISS
Bliss is one of my favorite affordable drugstore clean and cruelty free brand. They are easily accessible, you find them at: Ulta, CVS, Target and Bliss.com, etc. I can’t help but love everything that I’ve tried from them. Here are current favorites and must haves: Left to right: bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Toner + Serum A mixture between toner and serum this is an awesome toner that is alcohol free, vegan, and packed with skin calming and pore refining ingredients : BHA, niacinamide, zinc and cica. bliss - Bright Idea Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Moisturizer My day/ night cream depending on my mood and what serums I’m using. Sinks in the skin well and has great texture. bliss - Drench & Quench Moisturizer This is comparable to TATCHA - The Water Cream very lightweight but pack a lot of moisture. It leaves my skin feeling a bit tacky which I love as a base before my primer and make up. bliss - Rose Gold Rescue Moisturizer All times favorite basic moisturizer for day and night. I usually use this when either my skin has a break out and I have to go back to basics or when I’m using retinol or some other harsh serums. bliss - Renew & Smooth Night Serum If you are new to glycolic acids or AHAs this is a great beginner’s choice. For me I thought this quite a gentle formula... I didn’t feel any discomfort or irritation. bliss - Fabulips Lip Scrub This is my first lip scrub... so I don’t know if it’s good or not. It’s not bad. It’s moisturizing, exfoliating and didn’t taste bad. 😋 Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Nuts 🌱No Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan Have you tried any of their product? Tell me your favorites below. Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful

Apostrophe: Please Save My Skin ❤️
Hi Cherie family & Apostrophe crew! This year I have definitely gone on a journey with my skin. As you see in the photo, (the left is before my journey even began & the right is me today) I had very textured, uneven skin. It was oily, prone to breakouts whenever it felt like it (which to me felt like always), & I had a bit of hyperpigmentation. Today, I have a consistent routine, that I am content with. My skin is significantly clearer & smoother. But there is always room for improvement. I feel like my skin still gets so bright red in certain areas like my cheeks & nose & no matter what I do, it still feels super dry. One of my BIGGEST concerns to this day is my chin. I have always had consistent breakouts on my chin, even to this day. But it is also superrr textured, no matter what I do the texture won’t go away! Some products I have used that I’ve had success with are: I'm from - Rice Toner & AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay They both have worked very well for me. The toner brightens my face & when I use the clay mask, I feel the impurities being pulled from my skin. & after I wash it off, my face is always smoother. A product I tried & didn’t have any success with is: bliss - Drench & Quench Moisturizer It was definitely a no go for me. This product irritated my skin from the beginning & didn’t moisturize it at all. I feel like Apostrophe partnering with me on my journey would help me out SO much. They could help me figure out what I’m doing wrong & what I should be doing with my problem areas. Why my skin seems to always be dry & itchy at times & how I can work to fix that! They could also help me figure out how to handle my biggest insecurity (my chin!!!) & how to get rid of all the texture & make the skin around it smooth! That would mean so much to me & I would be so beyond thankful for the opportunity! Thank you so much for reading & I hope to speak with you guys soon!! 💖💋☺️

Not worth the hype🙁
I grabbed the ordinary moisturizer at ultra beauty for $7. I was happy to know that it was affordable and on shelf’s. After applying this product on for the first time, I was kinda disappointed. The skin absorbs up the product quickly, leaving it dry fast. I noticed after a couple days, my skin started breaking out on my forehead and chin area. The one good thing that I liked about this product was how soft my skin felt afterwards. I also liked the fact that there is no scent to this moisturizer. I would lightly recommend this product to oily skin type, or to someone who is new to skin care. I will not be repurchasing.

1 week update
thanks to all lovely beauties out there to take their time and add a comment on my last post. I was devastated by breakout, i was having from last 2-3 weeks and nothing seems to be working. Well i guess too many exfoliants was making my skin too sensitive so now i am back to basics. I have started what i was doing in the beginning and that seems to be working just fine. I think i was selfish to have a great skin in no time 🥴. If someone is just curious what i am doing right now then lets go to products. AM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control it has tree oil which is good for acne prone skin The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ as i have sensitive and oily skin this makes my face matte and oil free. I really like this one for oily skin or combination skin PM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (only on spots and acne 2-3 times a week) The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA (once a week) The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (once a week) The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque (once a week) The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane tea tree oil only on spots Even if i have listed so many items i feel i have very basic skin care routine as most of the products are being used weekly or only 2-3 times a week. But in the end this routine is working out for me and i am seeing good progress which makes me happy. Again thanks to all who suggested me before ❤️❤️

Naturium: Affordable, Well-Rounded Formulas!
Naturium marries biologically-optimal ingredients with aesthetic, minimalist packaging. They’re a step above The Ordinary minimalism while forgoing random filler ingredients like fragrance and essential oils, managing to be both affordable and well-rounded! • NATURIUM - Quadruple Hyaluronic Acid Serum 5% A thin, silky serum that absorbs quickly. It’s loaded with humectants, emollients, and a few antioxidants, making it deeply hydrating. I use it mainly to dilute other products for my sensitive skin, but dehydrated skin would looovee this for twice daily use. Repurchase? No, I tend to use multiple serums, so I don’t need a specifically hydrating one. • NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% Encapsulated salicylic acid + humectants = a hydrating exfoliant that helps with pore size and mild acne. Its lightweight texture is perfect for any skin type, except sensitive skin which may have issues with its citrus extracts. Repurchase? No, for fear of my eczema flaring with long-term use 🙈 • NATURIUM - Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2% Watery? Yup. Hydrating? Very. Sticky? Not at all! Apply to damp skin for instant hydration- I plan to put mine in a spray bottle soon! I do think the humectant-packed formula would be too simple if it wasn’t such a steal at $16 for 170mL. Plus, it does include soothing beta-glucan, making it perfect for any skin type. Repurchase? Probably not, as I use a lot of hydrating serums. • NATURIUM - Niacinamide Gel Cream 5% This gel is thicc, thanks to a few silicones and other polymers. It includes antioxidants and humectants to complement the star- niacinamide! B3 is popular for controlling sebum production, minimizing pore appearance, reducing acne, and its antioxidant status. This gel-cream is great for normal, oily, and acne prone skin! I mix it with oil for my drier skin. Repurchase? Yes! It’s perfect for layering over my serums in summer. • *NATURIUM - Intense Overnight Sleeping Cream Thick, bouncy, and spreadable, its humectants, emollients, lipids, and antioxidant extracts leave skin soft and seal in hydration without clogging my pores. Dry skin, layer it over a lightweight moisturizer for plump skin by AM. Oily skin, apply right on top of serums for satin skin when you wake up! Repurchase? Yes! This is such a winter staple for me now, it performs like a balm, but with a better texture. • *NATURIUM - Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream Emollients, humectants, ceramides, fatty acids, antioxidants... This buttery cream is a great winter moisturizer or PM moisturizer for normal and combo skin, or AM + PM for dry skin. Oily skin, I’d avoid its rich formula. Repurchase? If I didn’t have a million moisturizers to test and review, yes! This is affordable and a lovely PM moisturizer. Want To Try: Niacinamide Skin Mist 2% Naked, Vitamin C Complex, Tranexamic Topical Acid 5% *Gifted

Differin update!! These are no makeup pictures! The ones on the left are from the beginning of December 2020, before starting differin. The pictures on the right are today Feb 4th 2021. I am in my 5th week of using Differin. I am so excited about the improvement in my skin I could cry! I will definitely continue to use in order to improve my skins texture and reduce the scars that are left. I will list my am and pm routines below while on differin gel. AM routine 1. Wash face with water 2. NATURIUM - Vitamin C Complex Serum this is a nice lightweight serum! I am not sure if I have seen a dramatic difference in my skin but it does make my skin look glowy! 3. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer the perfect day time moisturizer for my dry skin. It feels very simple and soothing. 4. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 5. A few mornings a week, especially if I am at clinical or work wearing a mask all day I will tone with PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator it is non drying and helps unclog my pores and keep maskne at bay! PM routine with Differin 1. THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm THE best cleansing balm IMO! 2. VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser perfect gentle cleanser that does not leave my face feeling stripped! 3 FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream just started using this and it is the perfect thick moisturizer that does not feel like it clogs my pores like the cerave cream did! 4. DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel PM routine without Differin On these nights I focus on products that will lighten scarring. 1. THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm 2. GLYTONE - Acne BPO Clearing Cleanser this is a great gentle cleanser that fights acne. Has been working great for me! 3. Winter fav with FAB🥶
First, follow me for more content like this 💖😘 So if you’ve been following me or happen to see my posts you know I’ve been obsessed with First Aid Beauty lately. Their products have come in super clutch this winter for me because of the amazing hydration I get. So let’s talk about the Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer. It’s a light weight moisturizer formulated with meadow foam seed oil, Shea butter, colloidal oatmeal and avocado oil to make the skin extremely soft and smooth. It also helps reinforce the skins barrier. It gives you kind of a velvet, blur finish. I literally lather this one (you don’t have to I just love it so much). it comes in a 1.7 oz tube and it had a pump. It’s also $26. It doesn’t feel sticky and i feel hydrated all day. My face feels so protected from the cold weather. This is the most important product in my routine right now. If you get a chance please try this this winter. I promise it’ll make your face feel so good and hydrated. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer

New to skincare and looking for suggestions
New to skincare and looking for suggestions
Hi all. I'm relatively new to this whole properly taking care of my skin thing. I have combination skin, uneven skin tone, large pores and redness/discolouration. I've recently incorporated these products: Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Creami think i'm going to switch this out to the regular skin, as i'm finding it really makes my face oily. I do, however, need the moisturizer mostly around/on my nose. Or for when my pimples dry out. C&C by Clean & Clear - Persa-Gel 10, Maximum Strengthuse this mostly as a spot treatment. It dries my skin out a little bit, but i find it really helps flatten my pimples pretty quickly. I've only been using this product for a few days. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%literally just started using this today. As you can tell, i have MASSIVE pores. I have for as long as i can remember. Lately, it's really bothering me that my makeup sinks into my pores. I got a new pore primer today though and, so far, I'm impressed! Neutrogena - Pore Refining Cleanseronly been using this one for a few days. So far i'm pretty happy with it! Feels great on my skin and the scrub has been helping remove dry skin. I have also started using a salicylic acid acne treatment, for Clean & Clear. It's supposed to help remove blackheads. I have always been very nervous to use toners as I had bad luck with the Pro Activ system as a teen. This dries my skin out a bit, but i do find it helps reduce the oiliness throughout the day, especially at work when I have a full face of makeup on. I'm trying to give my skin as much of a break as possible when I'm not at work. I wake up really oily no matter what, but I'm wondering if this is just a regular thing for people? I hate it lmao I'm extremely self concious about my skin. I hate it and I have since i first got acne at age 10. It was so bad, I'm pretty sure my pores are also so big because they're probably partially acne scars. Any suggestions would be great!! I find my skin is a little sensitive, but i'm quickly getting used to the burning of the toner lol Thanks in advance :)

Skin purging? Horomonal acne? It’s hard to tell
Skin purging? Horomonal acne? It’s hard to tell
This week is my second week with the CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum and so far so good :). My only concern right now is one that is common when using a new active ingredient: Is my skin purging or is this not the product for me? In the picture you can tell I have some closed comedones that are making themselves more seen and on the first picture which is my right cheek it looks like an acne battlefield. I’m trying to calm myself and not do anything crazy because I know doing too much can be as much harm as not doing enough but of course my self confidence is a bit down in the gutters 😭 I have also introduced a new moisturizer into my routine which is the HOLIKA HOLIKA - Aloe 99% Soothing Gel which is very soothing and lightweight and I have been using it as my daytime and nighttime moisturizer. (I will get into whether it is worthy or not in another post) The cerave retinol is said to resurface the skin, which is what I think is happening now so I’m trying to remain calm and let the product do its work. For now I’m just thankful we have to wear masks so not only I can wear my pimple patches in public, but people won’t know my skin is acting crazy right about now 😭

Journey
Journey
As of November 2019, for the first time I have acne at the age of 27. I had changed so much about my lifestyle at that point it’s hard to determine what’s causing it (started going to the gym, started eating meat again, started a new job, and changed my skin care routine). My skin has always been sensitive and is also dehydrated. Here I am months later, and my face is still an acne mess. I’ve tried everything under the sun. I believe my acne to be fungal which mean I should avoid an oily products as they can further clog my pores. Fungal acne happens when the skin and hair folicles are producing too much sebum and yeast. Currently this is my routine: - PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Cloud Cream Cleanser - PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Hydrating Toner Mist -The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Solution - LANEIGE - Water Bank Hydro Essence - Aesop - Seeking Silence Facial Hydrator This routine is new for me, as I recently learned oils were no good for my skin type. My previous routine included 2 oils with the same cleanser. Would love to get any feedback and or recommendations

My night routine 🌚
My night routine 🌚
Hello beautiful people ! This is my nightly routine for acne prone and oily skin. For starters, as in my day routine I use the same two face washes that I use in the morning. But if anyone has any suggestions for a better oil cleanser for oily skin I would love to hear it ! Also with any of these products because this routine is all I have right now, but it isn’t working for my skin anymore ! But here is my opinion on these products! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this product is amazing !!! Especially for my skin! My skin is EXTREMELY OILY, and when I started using this it did wonders for my oil ! It may have broke me out a little and that’s why I ranked it four stars, but still amazing. The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA same thing as my morning routine, I use this as an eye cream and it works amazing ! Provides the right amount of moisture for the under eye. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator this product is in between for me. I do believe I overexfoliated my face at first and it dried the heck out of my skin and then when I stopped using it and started again, I broke out like crazy. I have recently reduced to only 3 times a week at night, but it’s still breaking me out. This product worked well at first, and I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or it’s the product, but I’m not a huge fan. And if anyone has any other suggestions PLEASE HELP ME 🤣 The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% the feeling of this product is WACK. It feels very silicony and I only use it with Paulas choice. I do like that it makes my skin feel less oily because it mattifies my skin, but other than that I have seen no difference within my skin from this product. CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I LOVE THIS PRODUCT !!! It’s so good and lightweight which is exactly what I need ! I never feel oily after using it, and it provides such a good layer of moisture even when I don’t use any other products listed above. IF ANYONE HAD ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP PLEASE HELP ME 🥺 my skin isn’t doing well, and it needs severe help. I have never stopped breaking out nor have I cleared up my skin in a LONG time. So if anyone knows of products that help with rough skin/acne I would love to hear what you guys have to offer !! :)

Blemishes + Dry Skin
Blemishes + Dry Skin
Hi! My main concerns are blemishes and dark spots, I have very dry skin so my breakouts are worse in the winter. I have large pores and I usually get pimples on my cheeks and forehead. I noticed that my forehead is also drier and my chin is darker than the rest of my face. Right now, my skincare routine only consists of cleanser, moisturizer, and micellar water. I only wash my face once a day (at night) since it gets flaky when I wash it twice, I use the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser which is effective for my skin. In the morning, I only use the Garnier Rose Micellar Water. I am looking for an alternative to my Pond’s dry skin cream since it’s oily and clogs my face. I am also thinking of trying The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc and The Ordinary Squalane Oil. Any thoughts? Thanks!!
