What to do with products you don’t like 🤷🏻‍♀️

You ever bought a product because of the brand you really like??? But somehow it doesn’t work for you. It happens to me all the time. I really love the Biosilk brand and I have been using their BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original
shampoo for long times so thought this leave in conditioner would the same. Turns out it didn’t now. I still feel bad throwing away a good product also because I paid for that. Thank god my boyfriend is ok with using everything I don’t like to use anymore 😍🤗. It works on his hair and he love it 👍👍. It’s a win win situation 💕🙏

I WILL NOT REPURCHASE
For 2021, I have made a resolution to no longer purchase makeup and skincare from brands that are not cruelty-free. Subsequently, I have unfortunately had to abandon about half of my makeup and skincare products. While it is sad to give up products I loved and used for so long, I can’t bear the thought of continuing to purchase makeup from brands that do such horrific things to animals. I would rather take the time to research ethical dupes than to continue paying these companies to mistreat animals. Pictured are some of what used to be my absolute favourite products, and below I will list a handful of (predominantly drugstore) brands that are not cruelty-free. I know there are plenty more, so please feel free to add them in the comments. Skincare: La Roche Posay Avene Vichy Biotherm Neutrogena Pond’s L’Oréal Garnier Nivea Cerave Makeup Maybelline L’Oréal Revlon Benefit Estee Lauder i hope you enjoyed ;) please be sure to follow here and on my IG @chloebrk.mua #cheriecreator

The secret to long, healthy hair!✨💜
YES, that’s my hair! And I’m going to share with you some tips on how I got my hair to look like this! PSA: I’m not a hairdresser ❤️ Your shampoo DOES MATTER- stop using drug store shampoo/conditioner that’s just making your hair dried out and greasy. Some great and still affordable brands are PAUL MITCHELL - Clarifying Shampoo Two BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Shampoo MATRIX - Ultra Hydrasource Shampoo (I’m currently using the Paul Mitchell shampoo/conditioner) Tip: going to stores like marshals or TJ max can help save money on these products. ❤️ Cut the heat 🚫🔥 heat can damage your hair! And if you have to use heat styling tools PLEASE use a heat protectant spray. ❤️ Wash your hair only 2-3 times a week, you don’t want to strip your hair of its natural oils!! ❤️ Use hair oil or hair serum EVERY👏🏼SINGLE👏🏼DAY! You don’t need much, maybe a little more then a pea size just enough to hydrate your hair and give it some shine🌟 I like BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original ogx - Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Extra Penetrating Hair Oil I’ve also noticed while using these products my hair has less knots and frizz ❤️ Don’t underestimate the power of a silk pillow case. At night you move around and your hair can get snagged and break with a cotton pillowcase, the silk allows your hair to slide off and is better for your skin too ❤️ OLIVE OIL is your new best friend you never knew you had. I soak my hair in olive oil once a month and it really helps with growth. (I made a separate post on this if you want to know more!) ❤️ Most important⚠️ PLEASE DO NOT color your hair with box dye!!! Ahhh this is so so bad for your hair. If you need a change please go see a hair stylist to talk about what’s best for YOUR hair needs, your hair will thank you! ❤️ Don’t forger to trim the dead ends. I know it sounds so simple and everyone knows this buts it’s so important for the health of your hair and makes your hair look healthier and helps your hair grow faster! ❤️ Don’t forget about hair masks!! There’s so many different brands and options for every hair type. One of my favorites Is the brand HASK. HASK - Keratin Protein Smoothing Deep Conditioner Packette the packs are so big that I can use half and get 2 uses out of it ❤️ What brush are you using?? I only use the Wet brush - Original Detangler because the bristles are so flexible they don’t rip my hair out while I’m brushing while detangling my hair with no problem and can be used on dry hair too not just wet!! I hope this helped! If you have any other good hair tips leave them in the comments below!

What’s Under The Pink Wig! 💆🏾‍♀️
What’s Under The Pink Wig! 💆🏾‍♀️
I’ve been really on a healthy hair, skin, and nails journey and I think it’s time i share the products i’ve been using in my hair. For starters, For those who may be wondering i am 1000% au naturale. I had relaxed my hair for less than a year 5/6 years ago. I had dyed my hair Red last year and as you can see the color has grown up a lot ( i will not be re-dying, i like the overly grown out look). I do suffer from terribly dry scalp. I have medicated drops that i can put when my scalp when it’s flaring up & also a shampoo i use every month when washing my hair ( it’s very drying so i try not to use it every wash) I believe i have psoriasis in my scalp or something very similar to it so i really like to pay attention to my hair and oil and massage my scalp very often. As far as washing my hair goes I try to wash it every two weeks. when i’m washing my hair ( this is pertaining to the weeks in NOT using my medicated shampoo) I like to use #Curls - Creamy Curl Cleanser: sulfate free shampoo[products]#[FiveStars] then to deep condition i use Maui MOISTURE - Heal & Hydrate + Shea Butter Hair Mask and i leave that in my hair (under a shower cap) and just let it penetrate through the hairs. To detangle my hair i use the #EZ Detangler Brush - EZ Detangler Brush[products]#[FiveStars] that moves with your hairs to stop pulling of the hair. Once i’m done washing my hair with a blow dryer but i like to start the hair on a cool setting then go in with the heat setting at the end. After i’m done drying and blown out i like to part my hair into four sections and braid them and also take the time to oil my scalp. i like yo use a mixture of #Sulfur8 - Anti-Dandruff & Medicated Conditioner[products]#[FiveStars] & Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil to oil and moisture my scalp and i put the caster oil on my edges too!

How to deal with thin, long hair!
How to deal with thin, long hair!
Hi pals! Today I want to show you all the products I use to get move volume and body into my thinner hair! Honestly, my hair isn’t even that thin BUT because it’s so long, it looks thinner and gets weighed down//greasy so quickly! I need to use some form of volumizing products to keep my hair looking bouncy and fresh! To do this, I use two faves: Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo I LOVE THIS STUFF! It’s my favorite dry shampoo because it’s a powder instead of a sticky spray, and it completely absorbs into my hair and doesn’t leave any residue! I just puff this product all over my scalp, wait a moment, and then rub it in until everything is gone! It adds so much volume to my hair and makes it look so much thicker. Then, to add back in some shine and softness, I go in with the amika: - Silken Up Dry Conditioner ! This is the only dry conditioner I own, but it smells really good and makes my hair feel a lot silkier. It’s perfect to add back a little bit of shine and softness after using a strong dry shampoo. This product doesn’t weigh down my hair either. So, this is how I get my somewhat thin hair to look bouncy and voluminous, even 2-3 days after washing! #cheriecreator #cheriepartner

HHair growth begins with a healthy scalp! On my clarifying days, I also like to give myself a scalp massage usingBONA BLENDS - Perfect Blend Hair Oil ✨ This is a new brand and their oil combines kukui, avocado, jojoba, olive and other oils to help keep your scalp moisturized and healthy. I would recommend using an oil like this when your scalp is feeling extra dry or irritated and for scalp massages to stimulate hair growth!

Managing Dry Ends ✨
Managing Dry Ends ✨
Back before I chopped my hair off it was very damaged, especially at the ends. It was dry, frizzy, and all around a pain to deal with and look at. This is where IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm came in to save the day. I want to say I have naturally wavy hair that has dealt with years of heat damage, color damage, and is very thick. IGK (which is hands down my favorite hair care brand) claims this hydrating balm conditions the hair without weighing it down. For $29 you get 5 oz of products (I have a sample size of it). It contains: coconut oil to nourish and strengthen shea butter to add moisture argan oil to nourish and strengthen This really brought the moisture back to the ends of my curls. I usually used this on days when I wanted to wear my hair natural and I would distribute a little bit into the ends while it air dried. It’s a very lightweight balm that melts into the hair. I would only use this in my ends because of all the oils it has. It didn’t weigh them down or make them feel greasy. It has a nice fragrance to it but it isn’t too strong which I enjoyed because some hair products I own can definitely give me a headache. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a leave in product to hydrate any dry, damaged ends. #CheriePartner
