Kiehl’s - Extreme hair growth
If you clicked on this post, you are probably suffering from thinning hair or you know someone who have thinning hair or you might be kind of freaking out that you might be losing your hair. No worries, let me share my hair growth story and products that helps me with my concerns. I have a bit thin hair around my hairline that shows through whenever my hair gets longer when I put it back in a bun or pony tail, people can actually kind of see my scalp which is always depressing. Especially when I see myself in a picture, that area specifically catches all my attention. Kiehl's - Amino Acid Shampoo According to dermatologist, this shampoo actually works very well for hair growth especially for people who has alopecia (which is genetical). I do have a friend who have used this system and her hair grew back. I used to have thick hair when I was in high school. I suffered terrible hair loss in my last year of college and it suddenly became an issue for me. I tried this system because of my friend and it works well for me. The effect was not immediate but I do see a lot of regrowth on my hairlines. Kiehl's - Amino Acid Conditioner I didn’t noticed much in the first month of trying it, but I got this one on discount in a Duo, so I decided to use it up before buying new ones. It was about 6 months, I started to get compliment on my hair after continuously using this product. I came to notice that my hair does look completely different than last year. It was shiny, full, and glory. I also feel that my scalp is healthier. I believe this products is one of the lines that does what it says. I agree it is a little bit expensive, but that’s because they put in all of the right ingredients to help you have thicker and more luscious hair.

Youth Code or Youth Activator?
L’OREAL ’s Youth Code Pre-Essence and the Genifique Youth Activator from LANCOME are two comparable products that frequently being associated together as a pair for comparison. The Youth Code is often referred as a more accessible replacement for LANCOME 's Activator, as its price is approximately half of LANCOME ’s price. These two products share a similar ingredients table, which is why the Youth Code is discussed with the capability of substituting the Youth Activator. Both of them contain a lot of active ingredients, meanwhile, with a high percentage of dosage. Bifida ferment lysate is the principle ingredient just after water. It is often used in anti-aging products, and its antioxidant properties also help with strengthening the skin's natural barrier, therefore, protect the skin from damage. Another ingredient named Salicyloyl Phytosphingosine is well-known for its efficient anti-aging effects, stimulates collagen production, and helps accelerate skin renewal. This is an expensive ingredient, thanks to L'OREAL, the Youth Code provides us a super affordable choice. From the price level, I would highly recommend the Youth Code for its enriched ingredients but more accessible cost. But if you have a sufficient budget, you can consider purchasing LANCOME's Youth Activator since the percentage of active ingredients are slightly higher in this one. For my experience, I bought the Youth Code at first and the result are satisfying to me. As a pre-essence, it boosts the benefits of the other products in the following routine and helps them penetrate into a deeper layer of skin. I can feel my skin became stronger, and the sensitiveness was reduced. Yet I don't have serious aging problems for now, so I would not give too many opinions. But I believe the ingredient would assist in preventing aging. I bought LANCOME’s Youth Activator out of my curiosity due to its widely-discussed similarities with Youth Code. If you ask me, can Youth Code replace Youth Activator, my answer is positive. There’s no distinct difference in the effects, and the price of Youth Code is so much more accessible. In terms of texture, they are very similar too. Both very fluid and lightweight, LANCOME is slightly easier to be absorbed and coming with a fresher and matte finish. The scent of LANCOME is more preferred by me. Nevertheless, considering the price, I would probably still pick Youth Code as my future purchase.
My most re-purchased Ordinary products
Okay so, I have tried 21 products from The Ordinary so far over three-ish years. It might not seem like too many, but man to my skin it feels like a lot of trial and error. But I wanted to go back and narrow down my collection to my most repurchased Ordinary products. These are the ones that work best for my combo / acne prone skin and keep me coming back for more! And of course, as you know, they are all very affordable. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I absolutely love this toner / chemical exfoliator. I use it 1 time a week during my evening routine and wouldn’t use it more than that because it can be a bit sensitizing. But every time I use this toner, the next morning my texture and pores are visibly reduced and my skin looks smooth and glow-y. You get quite a good amount of product and it typically lasts me at least 4 months. The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque I like this mask a lot! It’s great for taking on oil skin or the occasional pimple. The salicylic acid and charcoal make this feel very cleansing and satisfying. I do prefer this to the salicylic acid serum because I have found that to be a bit too drying if I leave it on the skin. I mentioned in another review that this product didn’t help me get rid of all my acne, but it definitely helped. I use this once every 1-2 weeks or whenever my skin needs a little detox. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I love this serum in the winter. I don’t often get dry spots, but if I see that my skin if feeling a little dry in any area, I’ll just pat a bit of this on under my moisturizer and then I’m good to go. Sometimes I use this on my legs if they are especially dry. I also really like how the ordinary has started to sell bigger bottles of some key products. As a consistent user, I like the bigger bottle because it leads to less waste. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' I’m a big fan of Buffet. I use this probably 2x a week, or sometimes more if I want to give my skin a break from actives and just want to make my skin feel extra plump. The formula is very hydrating and although I have my doubts about products that claim anti-wrinkle benefits, I do think my skin looks smoother after using it. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution This is kind of a cheat... because I repurchased this is after my first one fell and smashed on the bathroom floor. 🙃 BUT I am happy I repurchased it because when I do use this my skin looks so so good the next morning. Particularly my skin tone and pores look much better the next day. I use this probably more like 1x every two weeks because I swear no matter how little product I apply it does sting a little. And that’s probably not good... but I’ll justify it with glowy skin. And shout out to my trusty The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% that is also amazing but missing from the pic! 🥰
