JULY ALLURE BOX❤️
PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum 🧡 This product contains peach extract and a peptide complex that promise a luminous and translucent glow. I’ve been hearing a lot about this serum and I’m so excited that allure included it in this months box!! The packaging is cute and chic and also very sturdy. This products retails at $39 which I feel is appropriate. The formula feels very light weight and almost disappears into the skin immediately. I have to use it a few more times to pass a final judgement but so far so good, plus I love that this brand is cruelty, toxin and gluten free! SUNDAY RILEY - Ice Ceramide Moisturizing Cream 🤍 Sunday Riley is another brand that’s been getting a lot of hype lately and I’m finally getting to try one of their products thanks to Allure! This product contains ceramide, a lipid that helps skin retain moisture and also protects it from environmental irritants. I’m not going to lie, I’m not crazy about the smell but the cream is definitely very hydrating. The full size is $65 for 1.7 oz which is a bit pricey. I’m going to use it a few more times before I decide if it’s going to be a part of my skin care routine for sure but I’m not mad at it. OSEA - Ocean Cleanser 💚 This product contains organic seaweed, vegan lactic acid, lime, cypress, and juniper which claims to remove surface impurities, minimize pores and energize the skin. It does have a lime scent but I find that it isn’t over powering. The consistency is more that of a gel and it doesn’t foam up too much which is great because I find foaming face washes too be a little too drying for my skin. I will say my skin does feel very clean and refreshed after using this product and $48 for 5 oz is pretty good! Idk if it could replace my holy grail cleanser but it’s very nice and I do recommend it. BEAUTANIQ BEAUTY - Butter Lip & Cheek Balm ❤️ This is an all in one cream product that can be used on the lips, cheeks, eyes, any where really. It contains apricot, coconut, grape seed and pomegranate oils for a hydrating feel. It’s kind of sheer but definitely buildable. Truthfully I don’t wear a lot of blush but on a “no make up” make up day I know this would come in handy for a dewy fresh finish. It’s a small jar for $16 but it looks like it would last you a really long time. I don’t find myself struggling to blend it (which I hate when dealing with cream products) so I would recommend if you’re more of a fresh face make up type of girl/guy. LAPCOS - Daily Skin Mask Charcoal 🖤 Haven’t actually tried this yet because I’m very skeptical of sheet charcoal masks, idk why lol. Will keep you guys updated once I do! ($14) AVARELLE - Acne Cover Patch 💙 Another product I haven’t tried yet because surprisingly I’ve been having good skin lately! Once I get a breakout which I know I will soon in this NYC heat haha I’ll post my results! ($8.50 for 40 patches 😄) Very happy with this months box!❤️

BEST MUD MASK EVER ✨
So a few months I received a sample size of GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Mask in my monthly Allure Box and it took me a while to actually try it out. My skin is sensitive so I’m very cautious of what I put on my face but I’m soooo happy I took the leap because now I can’t live without this mask 😍 It does an amazingggg job of getting deep in my pores and unclogging them. I use it once a week and over the last month my skin texture has improved a lot. It does tingle upon application so I only leave it on for about 5 mins but that’s really all my skin needs!! The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because this baby is a pretty penny 😩 I purchased the 1.0 oz small tube for $35 and the 1.7 oz jar is $59!!! Definitely a splurge but if you’re looking for a mud mask that really works and cleans your face I would say this one is definitely worth it 💰

APRIL 2020 BOXYCHARM!
ICONIC - Illuminator Liquid Highlight ✨|| I’ve been curious about this product for a whileeee but that $41 price tag kept me from getting it so I’m excited I got it in my Boxycharm this month!! It’s a beautiful bronze-y gold color and it feels nice, not sticky or tacky which is great because it won’t ruin my make up underneath if I try to use it to high light. I only gave it 4 stars because I still have to try it out but on first impression it looks like an amazinggg liquid highlight! benefit - The POREfessional: Hydrate Primer 💧|| Really happy benefit came out with this because I loved the original porefessional but it was just too matte/drying for my skin. It retails for $32 and you get 0.75 to oz. Based of the swatch alone it does feel more hydrating than the original. Will be testing this out under my foundation stay tuned! BATTINGTON - Harlow 3D Silk Lash 🖤|| I’ve never heard of this brand before but the packaging is sooo cute!! Plus it came with a mini lash glue. This particular style of lash is more on the natural wispy side, perfect for everyday or natural glam. They retail at $31 so I cant wait to try these out and see if they’re worth it! LAVISH - 5 PC NEON EYE BRUSH COLLECTION 💚|| Another brand I’ve never heard of but the brushes feel sooo soft and of great quality!! This set retails for $29.99 and it’s like the perfect set for a beginner who’s new to make up because it has all the essentials. The neon vibe is soo cute and it’s cruelty free!! ZOEVA - Opulence Eyeshadow Palette 💐|| I love Zoeva for their brushes and I was excited to get a chance to try this eyeshadow palette but unfortunately it fell flat. There are a few beautiful shimmery shades like the copper and blue but overall I feel like I have other amazing quality palettes that can do the job of this one. It has one matte shade in the whole palette and it’s soo chalky!! The packaging is gorgeous and 10 shadows for $28 is amazing but I feel like the quality could definitely be better.

Minis: Would I purchase full size?
fresh - Rose Face Mask 🌹|| This face mask is infused with real rose petals and claims to soothe and tone the skin. I bought the mini at Sephora just to try it out before committing to the full size and I have to say, I ADORE THIS MASK 😍 If you love rose scented products you will LOVE this! It has a smooth gel like consistency and just like it claims there are rose petals in the mask. I was having a few crazy breakout from using another new product and I wish I took a before and after because the next day I had no redness and a new breakout I was getting was cleared!!! The mini size was $25 for 1 oz and the full size is $62 for 3.3 oz. Its a little pricey but I def recommend this if you’re struggling with redness or irritation it’s a life saver and worth the money ❤️ TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream 🌸|| This moisturizer contains antioxidant rich Japanese purple rice which claims to give a healthy dewy glow. It’s a rich cream targeted for people with dryer skin. It’s a pretty pastel purple color and has a nice herb like scent which I didn’t mind at all. My skin is more on the dryer side so I decided to try this out because who doesn’t love glowy skin??? Unfortunately I found this cream to be a little too heavy for my skin. It does leave your skin dewy however it looked border line greasy/oily. I noticed in the days after my skin was producing a shit ton of oil (it never does that) and I actually started breaking out from this cream. So disappointed that this didn’t work for me because I love Tatcha!!! Maybe this could work for people with extremely extremely dry skin but if you’re normal/dry this might be too much. TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer 💜|| This is primer that’s meant to help uneven texture, fill in pores, and help make up stay on longer. It def feels like silk when you touch it but unlike other pore filling primers it stays in place and doesn’t slip and slide around. My skin looks so smooth and perfect when I use this and I do notice that my make up lasts a little longer than with other primers. The packaging is beautiful and luxurious, exactly what I expect from Tatcha. The mini size is $20 for .24 oz and the full size is $52 for .7 oz. Pricey for sure but a little goes a long way and my mini lasted me monthsssss. Definitely worth it!!!

Allure March Beauty Box First Impression!
|| GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Mask Actually pretty satisfied I got this in my box because I’ve always wanted to try this! Everybody knows it’s a cult favorite but I wasn’t ready to take that jump because this product is priceyyyyy 😩 glad I got a little sample to see how I feel about it. Haven’t tried it yet but first impression it kind of has a strong smell that I’m not really liking but if it’s as good as everyone says I could probably overlook that. Stay tuned for a review! || OFRA - Nikkietutorials Everglow Highlighter The consistency/texture is so buttery and it’s sooo pigmented 😍 on my skin tone I could probably only use the gold one as a highlight but the copper/bronzy color can be used as a bomb eyeshadow and the lightest pearl shade can def be used as an inner corner highlight. Haven’t used it on my face yet but I’m soo excited to try this!! || URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil This one isn’t a first impression because I’ve used this product before. Love that it’s very smooth and glides beautifully BUTTTTTT I find that it isn’t very long lasting 😩 if you don’t mind reapplying throughout the day then this could be for you but I prefer a long lasting eyeliner that I don’t need to babysit lol still beautiful tho! || Mamonde - Rose Water Toner I have a veryyyy high standard when it comes to my rose toners! My holy grail toner is the rose hydrating facial toner from Fresh and I’m not sure if this one can compare, but I won’t pass any judgement until I try it. It has a nice light scent nothing too over bearing so stay tuned for a review! || FLOSS GLOSS - Floss beauty my new favorite lip gloss I’m a lip gloss girl through and through and I love adding new glosses to my collection. Cute minimalistic packaging and smells like cupcakes😍🧁 the gloss isn’t sticky or thick at all it’s very light weight on the lips and gives a beautiful shine!! || LUÉ by Jean Seo - ERASE So this claims to be a “cleansing, exfoliating, and brightening” powder that you just add water to. I’ve never used a product like this before so I’m curious to see how this goes. The powder is very fine and it kind of smells like oatmeal which I’m actually not mad at. Stay tuned for a review! || LAPCOS - Derma Sheet Mask Ceramide So this is the only product I can’t open and see what it’s like because then I would have to use it at that moment before it dried out so I have no first impression other than it’s a pretty color and I’m intrigued to see if it will really firm my skin. I’ve always been really iffy when it came to sheet masks but stay tuned for a review! The Allure Box is only $15 a month and I def think it’s worth it. 1 or 2 of the products are full sized and the rest are deluxe sample sizes but I think that’s all you really need to see if you really like the product and would purchase full size. Can’t wait to see April Box!

New Spring Moisturizer
#Perricone MD - Vitamin C Ester Photo-Brightening Moisturizer SPF 30[products]#[FiveStars] Picked this up at Sephora recently in search of a new day time moisturizer that has SPF in it. I’m very picky with my moisturizers because a lot of times the SPF in it ends up breaking me out. It’s the first product I’ve tried from the brand Perricone MD and I can def say I’m enjoying it so far. The consistency is a little thicker than what I like for a moisturizer but I think that’s because of the SPF in it. I’m not sure if I can say it “brightens” my face but it does it’s job by keeping my face hydrated and plump.. hopefully once we can go outside I can test how well it protects me from the sun 😂 great spring pick up!!

how to clear up your fungal acne
growing up i never really had acne. it wasn’t until maybe 8th grade till i noticed some texture on my forehead and it only got worse throughout my freshman year of high school. after trying every acne treatment ever invented (ok maybe not all of them) ive finally have found out a way to maintain my FA so that i dont look like 14 year old me anymore 😳 what is fungal acne? fungal acne ( malassezia folliculitis ) is when the healthy yeasts that live on your skin get too comfortable and start to grow. causing that raised itchy texture we all hate what causes fungal acne weather ( hot humid climate ) sweat stress certain ingredients (lipids, polysorbates, esters, oils, and fermented ingredients) what to avoid ok so as said in the previous section, certain ingredients can promote the growth of malassezia. and it just so happens that a HUGE percentage of skincare on the market will be formulated with these types of ingredients. i know very sucky so here are some ingredients to avoid! -absolutely NO oils. the only oils that are fungal acne safe are squalane oil, mineral oil, MCT oil. -all polysorbates including 20, 40, 60, 80 -fermented ingredients ESPECIALLY galacmyces -fatty acids ( stearic, linoleic, myristic, oleic) just to name a few -esters ( glyceryl stearate is the most common one) treatment and ingredients that help -Curology - Curology formula ( clindamycin, niacinamide, azelaic acid, zinc pyrithione) - green tea extracts -honey/ propolis extract -slicylic acid (bha) -sulfur ( De La Cruz - Sulfur Ointment, Acne Medication, Maximum Strength) - tea tree oil - urea - sun exposure 😀🌤 - then we have the inti dandruff shampoo like Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo and head & shoulders - Classic Clean Daily-Use Anti-Dandruff Shampoo but in my opinion i find them to be unaffected but idk try it for yourself some of my favorite products for fa -CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser -Curology - Curology formula( azelaic acid, clindamycin, zinc pyrithione) -NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% -Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum -FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream -FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oil-Control Moisturizer for more information about fungal acne go to www.simpleskincarescience.com and go read “The Fungal Acne Treatment Bible (2020): Cure Malassezia With Science!” to check if your skincare products are fa safe go to - folliculitisscout.com -sezia.co -skincarisma.com ( that one isn’t as reliable but it still pretty good) like and share! xo melanie
De La Cruz- Sulfur Ointment, Acne Medication, Maximum Strength
Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser This cleanser is amazing for my oily skin. I use it morning and night and it does not dry out my skin at all. It has a faint fragrance that smells really good and “clean”. My skin feels super soft after I use this and it helps control my oil. cocokind - Rosewater Facial Toner I use this toner in the morning after I cleanse. I mist it directly onto my face and let it dry, sometimes I pat it in a little with my fingertips. I really like this toner because it is not too harsh and it is literally only one ingredient. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I use this in the mornings after toner. I have been using it for three months now and it has completely transformed my skin. For as long as I can remember my skin has been dull, covered in little clogged pores (bumps) on my forehead and cheeks and it’s looked horrible. Nothing I tried ever fixed my problem (and I tried everything). Then when I saw reviews for this I thought it was too good to be true but I was wrong. It has been heavenly for my skin and I’m really satisfied with the results. My bumps are gone and my complexion is extremely bright and glowing. CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ I’ve been using this moisturizer since I was like ten years old and I love it. It never makes me feel greasy and it makes my skin super soft. I use it in the mornings and night. BURT’S BEES - Skin Nourishment Eye Cream I’m really happy with this eye cream because it is for sensitive skin and the skin around my eyes is extremely sensitive. I tried using an eye cream once before and it literally burned the skin around my eyes, made it super red and dry. I was reluctant to try one again but this one has never done that. It makes the skin under my eyes super soft and I love it! I use it both morning and night. sun bum - Face Lotion SPF 50 I use this to complete my morning skincare routine. I like it because it has a slight fragrance but it smells really good. My skin never feels greasy after using it and it absorbs it really well. The only negative to this is that if it gets in my eye it burns a little but other than that it’s good. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I use this as my night toner. I apply it with a cotton pad. I really like this because it literally just sucks out all the dirt from my pores from the day and makes my skin feel super clean. My cotton pad will literally be tinted brown after I use it (gross) but that means its really getting rid of all the dirt and gunk from the day. The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% I use this at night and it makes my skin feel super clean and good. The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil I use this at the end of my night routine, jade roll it on. I love it.

This hair growth serum works! Results are given!
For anyone who wants hair growth or having a hair loss this serum works!! ⬅️Swipe left to see results!! I have been losing a lot of hair due to my PCOS and I was looking for hair products that will enhance my hair growth and increase volume. And I never believed in any Hair growth serum to be working. I always thought it's a gimmick and probably won't grow my hair or make them voluminous. But, to my surprise this serum worked!! I found out about Vegamour after an extensive research and I read so many good reviews of this serum. So I went ahead and bought @vegamour Gro+ Advanced Hair Serum.VEGAMOUR - Gro+ Advanced Hair Serum They have their Gro hair serumVEGAMOUR - GRO Hair Serum which is original one but the one I bought has micro-encapsulated full-spectrum hemp oil! I read about it and thought it might work for my hair and it did! ❤️ Their Gro hair serum doesn't have full spectrum Hemp but I assume it works the same way. ✨What is it? -The Gro+ Advanced hair serum is reformulated in a way that they boosted the efficacy of this natural active even further by reducing the size of the hemp molecule from 2000 nanometers down to a mere 100-150 nanometers. -This much smaller hemp molecule is able to penetrate through to the upper layer of the dermis and reach hair follicles at the root level - It then allows actives like mung bean, red clover, curcumin and nicotiana benthamiana to circulate more deeply and effectively into problem areas, increasing the length of your hair's growth cycle while strengthening and thickening your hair. - Plus, the full-spectrum hemp oil works as an anti-inflammatory to soothe your scalp and follicles for maximum growth potential. They have some before and after pictures on their website which are quite promising. After me giving this a try I found that my hair at the front part where I experienced most thinning are growing to be full and voluminous. I saw difference in my hair line, this serum made my hair line quite even and the fine hair got a lot strong. The best part is that it's a plant based, 100% natural serum which works in a much effective way. It's a little bit pricey for the size we get but for what it does and it works I think I will repurchase it. Also, the results are very subtle initially and you might feel like it's not working but I would suggest you keep using it and after few weeks you'll notice a difference! ❤️✨ Do you like hair growth serums??
VEGAMOUR-GRO Hair Serum
The best tinted moisturizer I’ve ever used!
The Beauty Counter Dew Skin tinted moisturizer is the perfect product if you want a nice dewy finish and not a heavy makeup look. It’s so easy to apply, I just use my fingers! And a 1.35 fl oz. size runs about $45. It’s currently on sale on their website by the way! It’s very light coverage but I find it to do a good job of concealing light pigmentation and just make your face look more awake. I apply it right after I cleanse and apply my eye cream and serum. You can just use it as a replacement for your moisturizer during the day. I’ve been using it for about 3 months now and would definitely purchase it again! I’m almost out of my container anyways since I use it daily. It doesn’t have a harsh smell and is very blendable. I use about 2 pumps for the whole face. I find makeup to stay on over it pretty well and it does last almost all day, even in humid conditions. Hope this reviews helps if you’ve been on the market for a good tinted moisturizer! xx #Beauty Counter - Dew Skin[products]#[FiveStars]
Is that really dead skin?
PETER THOMAS ROTH - Firmx Peeling Gel First let’s talk about what peeling gels really are. Peeling gels contain ingredients such as cellulose or carbomer. These ingredients interact with any oils on your skin and start to clump once rubbed in. So to answer the question, the white clumps are not your skin cells falling off. These gels are safe to use daily in my opinion, but sensitive skin be cautious and always patch test. Peeling gels are a mechanical form of exfoliation, but I do recommend them since they are much more gentle on the skin compared to harsh scrubs with beads and grains. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Firmx Peeling Gel This particular peel contains cellulose. The soft cellulose acts like grains in a scrub and effectively buff off dead skin cells that are ready to come off. It contains pineapple, pomegranate, and keratinase enzymes to help loosen up and exfoliate dead skin. The glycerin and hyaluronic acid help soothe and hydrate skin. Final thoughts, it’s a much better option of mechanical exfoliation because I don’t endorse harsh and scratchy scrubs with grains at all. It’s instant gratification because you want to believe those white clumps are clumps of dead skin, but it is the cellulose interacting with your skin. If used as a mask and left on for 5-10 minutes and then rubbed off you will get better results because you allow the enzymes to work and loosen dead skin. The reason I gave this product 4 stars is because of the price point. I will not be spending $48 for a peeling gel again because I can spend much less on chemical exfoliation which is my favorite and most effective form of exfoliation.

HOW TO SHRINK YOUR PORES (Temporarily)
I came across fifty shades of snail’s article on: How to Shrink Pores (temporarily), Plus 3 Pore Myths. Since it went viral, I read that it worked for many people as well so I decided to give it a try and it helped improve my skin. Curious to see whether this method works for others! My skin conditions: - combination skin type - dry areas between eyebrows - oily nose and cheeks with enlarged pores - few blackheads, sebaceous filaments on nose - hormonal acne breakouts 3 PORE MYTHS HIGHLIGHTS FROM HER BLOG: 1. Your nose is covered in blackheads. Some can be sebaceous filaments which is a mix of sebum, bacteria, dead skin cells and a hair follicle in a large pore. 2. Pores can be shrunk. There is no physical way to shrink pore sizes. Avoid all self-extraction methods and nose pore strips to prevent irreversible damage to the pore. 3. Pores open and close. The idea that a warm washcloth or steam treatment will “open” your pores to allow products to penetrate more deeply is a myth. And the idea that a splash of cold water or an astringent toner will “close” your pores is also a myth. The size of your pores is the size of your pores. WHAT YOU NEED TO CLEAR AND SHRINK PORES: - A 2% BHA product. I use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator This exfoliator is pretty good at its job. Would be excellent if it didn’t smell like gas. Costs $30 but well worth it to go through bad smells as long as it works. 🤩 - A clay mask! I use innisfree - Super Volcanic Clusters Pore Clearing Clay Mask I reviewed this product before and this product is called “pore clearing”. This alone has helped me with controlling my overproduction of sebum! - An emulsifying oil cleanser or pure carrier oil. I use Tatcha for this. TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser I reviewed this oil cleanser before. But it’s amazing because it uses camellia oil which is non-comedogenic making it perfect for my skin type. HOW TO SHRINK PORES TEMPORARILY Best time to do this is in the morning before regular skincare routine. 1. Apply BHA with cotton pad either on your entire face or target areas. Wait 20-25 mins. 2. Do not wash off the BHA. Apply face mask and follow its instructions. 3. Rinse with warm water and dry face. 4. Apply a generous amount of your cleansing oil or carrier oil and leave on for 15 mins. 5. Massage face for 2-3 mins with light-medium pressure from fingers and you should feel grits that have pushed out from your pores. (note: don’t overdo it or you may cause broken capillaries) 6. Rinse with warm water and continue with regular skincare routine. RESULTS AWESOME! I GOT GRITS. At least once or twice a month, I recommend doing this. If you didn’t feel grits during this process, yours may just not be as clogged - not to worry, it’s still clearing your pores and reducing their appearance so keep at it!! Let me know how it went for you! 🧖♀️
