CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Review
[PRODUCT REVIEW] Cleanser CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin
Fragrance freeWhat It Is: A very basic foaming gel cleanser that contains ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide suitable for oily/ combinations skin. Texture: A gel cleaner. Moderate foaming. My Experience: I’ve had fairly good experience with this cleanser. It does what a cleanser does effectively and it’s not irritating. I do enjoy less foaming but that might be a con for others. The only down side is that it can be a bit drying in winter for my combination skin. But nothing drastic.
Check out my skin journey in only 2 weeks!
Back story: Back at the beginning of November I had been on curology for the second time and it made my face feel worse, the face wash didn’t make my face feel clean so I bought one they recommended (Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser ) I continued to use the formula they gave me and it was just not for me. November 26 I spoke to my doctor and told her what I was going through and she put me on Doxycycline which helped with stopping the bacteria from producing but I still had the blemishes I had. I was desperate by this time, I didn’t know what to believe from youtubers(most are paid or sponsored= no trust from me) nor anything posted online and I was not about to try a million product because I know it takes time. That is when I came across this site and I started reading some real life stories and what people like me were going through! I saw some products that these people were using and I decided to give it a shot! Thank you to the ladies who posted their story! Your transparency and selflessness has help me with my confidence and most importantly my skin! Xoxo Story time! As you can see on December 20th my skin was nothing but clogged and congested. My self esteem was at an all time low. I would purposely avoid hanging out with my friends, I hated how make up would look covering the acne, I was honestly just not in a good place. I started reading stories from people like me and they were using CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin and CeraVe - SA Lotion For Rough & Bumpy Skin so I decided to give it a shot! On December 26 I decided to go to Walgreens and pick it up. Christmas was the day before and I was tired of how I was feeling (I was shying away from the camera with my own family and thats just not me, I wanted to go back to feeling like my best self) I followed my skin regimen religiously! After my shower I would brush my teeth and then wash my face and apply some lotion. At night I would do the same thing! Fun fact: I like to change my pillow cases every two days-week. First thing I noticed after the face wash is how clean my face felt but it didn’t feel dried out or congested it actually felt like soft skin. Jan 3: A week after I started using the face wash and lotion I started to notice the congested parts of my face were coming out. Jan 6: Like they say it has to get worse before it gets better. I thought I was reacting badly to the products but I read a little more and purging is real! Jan 7: My skin started calming down a bit with the redness but what had to come out came out! If you are going through this process dont get discouraged keep your skin care routine consistent! Jan 10: still have some blemishes but you can see the softness glow! I posted the pictures I posted with the dates so you guys can see the process. We are sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly not just the pretty!
So I purchased this cleanser about a week ago in Walmart. I honestly bought it because I saw it was only $6 & I have a major spending problem whenever I walk into the beauty/skincare section of any store 😬 e.l.f. - Superclarify Cleanser I expected it to be a crappy, cheap cleanser that would probably make me break out. HOWEVER, I was so, very wrong. Before buying this cleanser, I had been using CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin for months. It performs well, I wouldn’t call it amazing but it does it’s job & hasn’t caused me any issues. Lately I was testing out some primers & other products that have actually caused me to breakout just because my skin was probably like chillll, I wanna breathe! The Cerave cleanser usually gets rid of my pimples fairly easily, but it does take a couple of days. This ELF cleanser got rid of all my recent pimples on the first use. Literally. I couldn’t believe it! It comes in this off white milky gel-like cream that foams up a little as you use it. I can’t tell you have surprised I am with this stuff! My face is literally clear! & smooth! & it’s only $6! It also has Niacinamide in it, which is an all around amazing ingredient. It helps calm your face & prevent redness as well as texture. Elf has done it again for me, made an amazing product at an even more amazing price! Try it guys! Seriously!!! That’s all for now 👋🏻 Talk to you guys later! 💖 💋 @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick
Is it a dupe? Battle of the Kale Cleansers!!
Sooooo everyone and their mother has a YTTP Superfood Cleanser review on here, so I’ll keep mine short. It’s expensive, it’s sustainable (they finally made the refill bottle permanent in their collection 😏) and it works. It leaves my skin feeling clean, not dry, and just all around healthy. Worth the money ($36 for an 8 oz bottle, which can last you awhile). 5/5⭐️ Now, the Pacifica Kale Detox cleanser has always been there for me, even before I had a skincare routine, or even knew that skincare could help my oily, acne prone, hormonal young adult skin. Back when $10 was a lot to spend on a face wash, back when I slept in my makeup-I know, I know! We all did stupid things when we were a kid!! Leave me alone! Anyway, this is a foaming gel cleanser, and it’s $10 for 5 oz. It claims that it is for oily and acne prone skin types, so it foams up quite a bit and a little goes a long way. I wouldn’t recommend this cleanser to anyone with even slightly dry skin, as it can be quite stripping and drying. I recently bought it about 8 months ago to see if it was a dupe for the YTTP Superfood Cleanser (which I loved but couldn’t justify spending a lot on skincare at the time) and I instantly noticed how drying it was. The fragrance is also slightly stronger, and smells more artificial as opposed to the natural “leafy greens” smell of the YTTP. However, with a soothing toner and hydrating mist, someone with skin like mine could make it work in my opinion. Sustainability: Nowhere near as sustainable as the YTTP, but the bottle is made from 50% recycled plastic. If that even counts. 4/5⭐️ For sentimental value. SUMMARY: Is it a similar product in theory? Yes. Is it a dupe? No. But, if you’re tight on cash, and really can’t dish out $36 on a cleanser, AND you have oily skin AND you have other hydrating products to put moisture back in to your skin after cleansing, this product could work for you. If you have the money for the YTTP cleanser, I would recommend that one because it isn’t stripping at all and they’re spot on with sustainability and ingredients. It is well worth the money, since according to dermatologists, cleansing is the most damaging part of our skincare routines.
PACIfICA-Kale Detox Deep Cleaning Face Wash
Obsessed with this face wash!!
SOAP & GLORY - Face Soap And Clarity Facial Wash I cannot stress enough how much I love this face wash!!! It’s perfect for all skin types but works especially well for my Oily/Combination skin! It’s filled with Vitamin C which leaves your skin glowing and feeling super clean. It works as a detox for your skin by smoothing, cleaning and purifying. My fav part about this product is the way it makes your skin kind of tingle followed by a fresh feeling. I have been using Neutrogena Grapefruit Face Wash for as long as I can remember and thought it was the only face wash for me until I discovered this. It seriously doesn’t compare to any other face washes!! Go get it!!! 😍
SOAP & GLORY-Face Soap And Clarity Facial Wash
Didn’t work for me :(
CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin 🌺 as a combo/oily girl, I was excited to try this cleanser. The first few weeks were great. No issues. I love the consistency of this cleanser and that it has no fragrance. It was simple and got the job done. Sadly, after a few weeks my skin started to get really irritated. Red patches around the cheeks and especially around the eyelids. I narrowed it down to this product. I even double checked after to make sure it was this product, eliminating everything except moisturizer. 🌺 i wish this worked out but it’s a no for me
CeraVe-Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin
Best face wash ever.
CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Now I have spent my fair share of 💵💸💰💳 on face cleansers in the past. I used to drop upwards of $30-$40 on cleansers at Sephora and couldn’t really tell if it was really doing anything for my skin. I went through a really bad stress-induced break out (I used to have extremely clear skin) exactly one year ago and did a lot of research. I ended up going on Curology (which I’ll save for another review) and completely simplified by skincare routine. This face wash has helped saved my skin. I gave away all my acids, serums, fancy face washes and opted for the CeraVe face wash per my Curology provider’s recommendation. This is extremely affordable at $14 for the value size and lasts FOREVER. 🧖🏼♀️ It leaves my feel feeling soft and cleansed 🙅🏻♀️ Does NOT feel tight after cleansing (my pet peeve) 💦 Controls the oiliness of my skin (esp my T-zone) 🧼 Foams very nicely! Something I look for in a cleanser as I feel like it cleanses better Ditch your expensive cleansers. Grab this at CVS, Target, Walmart, and thank yourself for making the right decision for you, your skin, and your wallet 💸💸
CeraVe-Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin
Cleaner for Oil Control
This Cetaphil Daily Cleanser is used to control oily skin without drying out. It targets combination skin & oil control. It has a thick, clear consistency that foams up a tiny bit while washing your face. I actually didn’t go out of my way to buy this product, decided to try this when I saw it in my shower after my sister had bought it. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks. I really like this cleanser because it does such a good job of cleansing and doesn’t leave me feeling dry or tight. I would recommend this to anyone with an oily T zone or combination skin as a good cleanser to wash away dirt and excess oil. At only about $10-12, this is an amazing deal for an effective product. Will now be going out of my way to buy it! 🤍💙 Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser

Everyday cleanser for redness & rosacea!
I have used so many different kinds of cleansers including gels and creams. I used to struggle really bad with rosacea and still suffer from slight redness. During my last years of high school I invested in better skincare and found what was good or bad for my skin. I used to use cleansers with so many so many alcohol ingredients including makeup wipes and the brand Clean and Clear cleansers. I found the severe redness was caused by a lot of alcohol contained products and they contained ingredients that were way too harsh! I haven’t seen any difference using fragrance in skincare personally but I do avoid it as much as possible. This Sukin cleansersukin - Foaming Facial Cleanser Pump Signature is AMAZING for redness and rosacea as it has played a major part in calming down my inflamed skin. After a single cleanse, my skin was a soft, even tone! Consistency? This cleanser does not come out as a foam as you pump out the product and it comes out as a gel then you mix the product in your palms to create a beautiful foam and then apply straight to your face. You only need a small amount as the foam goes a long way. The feeling on your skin feels soothing and hydrating, no stripping feeling which you may feel with other cleansers! Will this remove makeup? While this does melt my makeup off significantly. I believe when using makeup to use a double-cleanse system (which I learnt from Skincare by Hyram! 😉). I take my makeup off using GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover with a reusable cotton pad then follow up with the Sukin cleanser. This routine ensures that every spec of makeup is being cleansed off your face and will not block pores - which causes breakouts! Skincare type? I believe this would be perfect for all skin types! I can’t see anyone with dry, combination or oily skin hating this. I have normal-dry skin, my sister has combination-oily and we both love and use it every day! Price? Pricing is only $11.95 in Aus dollars on the Sukin website but can be found on sale even cheaper in stores such as Chemist Warehouse, Coles and Priceline. Fragrance? Sukin does state that their products are fragranced with essential oils and plant derived aromatic ingredients which I personally don’t think should be necessary in skincare products but I have not experienced any breakouts or irritation from fragrance or Sukin products. If you prefer a full on fragrance-free cleanser I would recommend CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin which personally isn’t my favourite cleanser ever as I feel as though it didn’t do much for me and my skin concerns but it is well raved about and worth a try. Contains great ingredients also. I 100% recommend this cleanser to anyone suffering from redness, rosacea, sensitive or inflamed skin. It has improved my skin significantly and will always be in my skincare routine!
