Milk Matcha Detoxifying Mask Review
[PRODUCT REVIEW] Mask Milk MAKEUP - Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask
Contains less than 1% of synthetic fragrance
Contains witch hazel
Contains salicylic acidMy Personal Experience: This is my first stick mask. And I definitely enjoy the convenience, and that it doesn’t get messy at all. This mask claims to “control oil,” “purify pores,” “balance skin,” and “calm redness.” I use this mask as a quick pick-me-up when my skin feels congested, when I’m getting ready for an event, or when I’ve been in the sun/wind all day, something like that. It does immediately removes surface congestions in my pores, reduce any discomfort I have in my skin, and rebalances sebum. I really like that it’s not drying like most other clay masks. My face feels smooth and soft after using it, and it’s not irritating on me or my partner, who has more sensitive skin. Things I don’t like about the stick form is that it can tug on my skin a bit because once you start, the stick can get a bit dry. I find that it slides on a bit easier on damp instead of dry skin. It also helps to do a few slides on your hand first to get rid of the dried out surface. And the packaging isn’t the best. It’s a bit difficult to twist the product out or back in. I like this mask for what it does for me. The next day of using this mask my skin always looks pretty great. 😆 But I do want to mention that Milk suggests using this mask 2-3 times a week and I usually use this only once a week (because I also use an acid treatment every week). So I can’t really say if this mask provides any long lasting results. Final Tip:
All treatment masks, however gentle, are more or less on the more intense side as they usually contain more percentage of active ingredients. So don’t overwhelm your skin with too much treatment. Let it rest and react! 😴

How do I keep my skin like this👩🏻
The second picture is taken with natural daylight，no makeup or filter added. The first picture is my daily routine. I have to be honest that I'm born with pretty good skin. I rarely have acne problems. But my skin is very dry and sensitive. I'm also allergic to ultra violet so my skin is very easy to be damaged by the sun. Therefore, my main focuses are always hydration and anti-sensitivity. I use different sunscreen products but I think the best way is still avoiding the sun in physical ways. Ever seen a Chinese girl with an umbrella on a sunny day? That’s me🙂 Here is my routine— Morning: Milk MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Face Mask I use this product first after washing my face. It helps me lighten my skin and feel refreshed. I generally love both milk mask sticks I have. #Winona - Natural Skin Care Anti-Redness Lotion[products]#[FiveStars] This is a Chinese brand that focuses on sensitive skins. I really love their products and this lotion ( it is actually more of a toner) is my favorite. Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream I apply this both at day and night. I love how it can easily be absorbed into my skin and creates this natural glow on my face. Also I can still apply makeups on this. Night: Milk MAKEUP - Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask This mask stick is very easy to apply and so soothing. I enjoy using it after a long day. This product helps me with my redness and I talked more about it in another post. I use this twice a week. KORRES - Hydra Biome Probiotic Superdose Face Mask With Real Greek Yoghurt I also talked about this in another post. It is perfect for hydrating and correcting your skin. It does sting when you first apply it on though. I use this twice a week. Avène - Soothing Moisture Mask I use this occasionally when I feel that my skin is a little damaged or irritated. Avène’s products are really good for soothing you skin. If you have sensitive skin like me, their products can be your top choices. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' I use this at the end of the routine and wear this to sleep. It is sticky so it’s not suitable for daytime. But I can really feel that my skin is taken good care of by this product. More tips: • Wash you face gently after staring at screens for a long time • Use some facial mist every time you feel dry on your skin • Don’t use masks too much! A lot of masks are not good when you use them everyday. • EAT MORE FRUIT! This is very important for your total health including your skin health. Snack on blueberries or an apple instead of chips! • Use more sunscreen if you are going out. • Even if you don’t have dry skin, you still always need hydration!
Matcha Think About Masks?
Matcha is a green tea made from the Chinese Camellia plant. Why am I talking about tea on Cherie? It’s because matcha is great for your skin. Matcha is usually made from a finely ground up powder, which makes it perfect as a skincare add in. While people are only now making tea a trend, teas, and especially matcha have been used for health for a very long time. In ancient China, it was even used for stomach bloating and anti-inflammation way before stomach teas or serums. Besides the antioxidants, matcha also has vitamins that can be soaked up by your skin, including B2 and E. These are great for youthful, glowing skin. They promote collagen levels, hydration, and cell growth. Also, because matcha contains chlorophyll, (yes! The stuff from science class!) it can help remove excess oils and it can help eliminate bacteria on the skin, preventing bacterial acne. It’s caffeine and tannin reduce puffy eyes are dark circles, leaving you with a well rested look. Now let’s go back to the antioxidant properties of matcha I mentioned earlier. Matcha contains EGCG, a powerful antioxidant that’s great for so many different things. It can help with redness, inflammation, and irritation, as well as reducing acne, rosacea, and other skin conditions. So basically, matcha is a science backed miracle. Matcha can be used in 3 ways to help your skin. It can be drunk, put in a store bought product, or added in the safe DIY skincare. For DIY skincare with matcha powder, I suggest mixing it with either greek yogurt (anti redness and cooling) or water (a stabilizer). Just apply it to your face for 3-5 minutes, and gently remove it with warm water and a towel. If DIY isn’t your thing I’ll list some products containing matcha below. The Milk makeup matcha line: Milk MAKEUP - Matcha Toner Milk MAKEUP - Matcha Cleanser Milk MAKEUP - Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask SheaMoisture: SheaMoisture - Matcha Green Tea & Probiotics Clay-to-Cream Cleanser Thank you for reading this post! Please cheer for it so that other people can learn about matcha! -Naomi
I love clay masks. I have to tell that I am very impressed with these masks. One of the major issue of clay masks is that they tend to take away life from the skin but these didn’t do that. I usually apply the Ancient Clay Acne Mask where I tend to break out a lot. I have noticed that it helps to decreases inflammation, calms and reduces redness caused by the pimples. And I apply the Charcoal face mask on my T Zone where I tend to get too oily. Since it has charcoal in it; it helps to control the oil production and remove the blackheads. I love both the masks but if I had to choose between them I will choose the Ancient Clay Acne Mask because the charcoal face mask is a little difficult to take off.

Everything you Need to Know About the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask
Skin pollution is one of the most common skin problems that regular people like you or me deal with. This is because of the overuse of skincare, smoking, drinking, or other environmental factors, like the food and drinks we consume. The CAUDALIE - Instant Detox Mask is a clay mask that claims to detox the skin of pollution. Here’s what you need to know about the brand and the product. Caudalie is a France-based skincare company that focuses its products on the antioxidant properties of grapeseed. Grapeseed is known to have the highest antioxidant properties in the world, so their entire skincare line is based on removing impurities from the skin with grapeseed and clay, which is where we talk about this specific mask. The Caudalie Instant Detox Mask is a deep cleansing clay mask that visibly shrinks pores that have been damaged, whether from other skincare products (walnut bits, for example, which causes microtears) or acne. It claims to remove impurities and excess sebum, which is a common culprit for blackheads and other oil-based acne like many of us deal with. It is recommended to use two times a week for 5-10 minutes at a time as a layer on the face for purely detoxed skin. The texture is smooth and creamy, like hummus, and the smell is very mild and almost unnoticeable; it’s very earthy due to the clay. The price is a little bit on the steep side for the amount that you get at $39, but the reviews on Sephora.com and the brand’s website are phenomenal at 4.5 stars. On top of that, the product is vegan and GMO-free! Now, let’s take a look at the ingredients. Some of the most important ingredients include kaolin clay, bentonite, and Vitis Vinifera (grape) fruit extract. ● Kaolin clay has been used in skincare products for centuries. Kaolin clay is typically used on people who struggle with controlling oiliness and acne as the clay sucks up excess oil and pulls out any extra toxins. Additionally, removing the clay works as a gentle exfoliator. ● Bentonite clay is a natural additive to many skin care systems as it helps the product become more water-resistant and helps the product adhere to the skin for easy absorption. Like kaolin clay, bentonite clay pulls out excess oiliness and is used by acne-prone people who have acne caused by an abnormal amount of sebum production. ● Lastly, the Vitis Vinifera (grape) fruit extract. This specific grape is known to have antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-allergenic, anti-inflammatory, and wound healing properties. This is the key ingredient to the product; the extract does a fantastic job of pulling out toxins and treating acne and hyperpigmentation, as well as preventing future breakouts by detoxing the compromised skin. Overall, even if you have dry skin, this clay mask is probably a good fit for you. Although kaolin clay is known to have drying properties when paired with the bentonite clay, it should not be drying at all. If you eat a lot of meat, drink/eat a lot of dairies, eat junk/fast food, or overall live a little bit on the less healthy side, skin pollution is probably a very real problem for you. This mask will help you keep your lifestyle while also keeping your skin healthy.

DIY Acne Calming Face Mask
Can’t end the week without my #FacemaskFriday! 💙 Since my skincare has been all over the place lately, tonight, I tried a calming DIY mask. It might not be the most Instagram-worthy, but I promise your skincare will LOVE how this mask feels. - 1 tsp rolled oats - 1 tsp raw honey - 1 tsp whole milk - 1 tsp plain yogurt Mix all the ingredients and let the oats soak the milk for about 2-3 minutes. Once you have it ready, the mask will look and feel like a paste. Apply to your face and let it rest for at least 10 minutes. ⏰ I love leaving mine for a bit longer. Then, follow up with a gentle cleanser and a moisturizer. 🌟 Why does this mask work to calm the skin? 💭 1️⃣ Oatmeal is naturally soothing, and it can help calm itchiness and redness. 2️⃣ Honey is antibacterial and antimicrobial to help fight inflammation. 3️⃣ Milk and yogurt are great exfoliants that can remove dead skin cells and promote cell turnover. Would you give this mask a try? 👇👇
Sand & Sky - Face Masks For Acne
I remember seeing the sand & sky videos on instagram about 2 years ago and thinking there was no way that the results could be real. after seeing my friend post a photo wearing one, i asked if she truly liked the product. she told me that it was one of her favorite masks. i’m now on my 5th tub of the sand & sky pink clay mask. it’s my absolute holy grail for acne. the pink clay really purifies the skin and i notice an immediate result in the appearance of my skin. my skin looks brighter, more even, and the redness in my skin is significantly reduced. the texture is heavenly & super similar to other clay masks. i’ve used this mask for years now and recommend it to everyone in my life, especially my friends that struggle with acne or uneven skin. i travel a ton, for both work and my personal life, and i cannot fly without this mask. planes make my skin so aggrivated and i’m almost guaranteed to have a break out. if i use the mask the night after i fly or the next morning, i never have a break out. this mask is incredible & i cannot recommend it enough. i think it’s absolutely worth the price and i think this product is 5/5 stars (id give it 100/5 if i could) for transparency, i’ve bought 4 tubs of sand & sky on my own and been gifted one.
SAND&SKY-Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask
This glam glow super mud mask has been my favorite mask for pore minimizing, clarifying and overall clearing the skin. I LOVE this mask! It’s made with a blend of AHAs & BHA’s, activated charcoal, and eucalyptus leaf, so it’s perfect for helping to zap away my blemishes and clear out my pores but doesn’t dry out my skin at ALL. I like to use this at night and the next morning my skin will look so much clearer- my pores will look minimized and if I’m having some breakout(s) it really helps take down the redness and helps heal them but doesn’t leave me irritated or dry. When using the mask I’ll admit it does sting a little when it’s drying but it doesn’t bother me. When it dries you can see all your pores where the mask has put in its work- very interesting to see! I especially love using this as a spot treatment overnight. But if I’m using it as a pore clearing mask I usually apply this over my t-zone. The texture is almost like a thick serum - very easy to spread, and also dries fast. It does have tea leaves in it, but when dried this mask hardens. It comes off pretty easily for a ‘mud’ mask, but the easiest way is to dampen it first with a towel to soften it, and then it removes easily. I honestly love this mask and would (and do) recommend it to anybody. It is a tad high of a price point, but to be honest I would say it’s worth it, especially if you’re oily/ acne prone. This jar has last me almost a year and its only about half done. I rate this mask a 5/5! GLAMGLOW - Supermud Charcoal Instant Treatment Mask
