bareMinerals Tinted Moisturizer Review
[PRODUCT REVIEW] Foundation bareMinerals - Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30
Contains fragrance (less than 1%)
SPF 30My Personal Experience: I bought this tinted moisturizer when I was much tanner than I am right now thanks to quarantine haha. Unfortunately for me, it is just “meh.” Although it’s oil free, a lot of times it still feels too much for my skin (Combo/Oily). Not because it’s heavy, but because it’s too slippery and breaks up easily on my face. It has a natural radiant finish, but I usually have to set it with powder. When spread out, the color won’t be as intense at all. (I can still wear this shade now.) And it does oxides a bit throughout the day. I have the say the shade range isn’t great, or at least the undertones and their shade descriptions aren’t the most accurate. They have added new shades since I bought this, but I definitely suggest trying out the colors before purchasing. I do like that it provides a light coverage, perfect for some redness and pores. But I question the buildability of the coverage mainly because the texture is not that easy to work with. It feels like the product just sits on top of my face instead of being blended into my skin. When I apply it, it’s difficult to blend with fingers, and it’s easy to get strokes with a brush. With a sponge it’s a bit better but then, the coverage is even lighter. Though all three methods are manageable, and eventually I can get an even finish as I apply a tiny bit at a time and work in small areas, in my opinion for a tinted moisturizer, it shouldn’t take this much effort. Maybe this product will work better for people with normal or dry skin. But I did notice it emphasizes dry patches on skin when I tried this on my partner, who has dry cheeks. Final Tip:
The usual amount we use for a tinted moisturizer or foundation won’t be enough SPF❗️❗️❗️Apply sunscreen (at least SPF 30) beforehand even if your tinted moisturizer or foundation has SPF in it!

LTorresThis is one of my go to tinted moisturizers. It is probably more suited for dry skin which is my problem. It is not buildable so it is a true tinted moisturizer. So if your looking for sheer coverage this is it. If I need more coverage I use Dr . JART bb cream. Great formula and also more suited for dry skin.

First of all, perioral dermatitis is a sterile “disease” so it will not contaminate your cosmetics or makeup products. For now about half an years, I live with this inflammation of the skin – which can be chronic. Once it’s triggered, it can come back. However, by adopting the right routines, it is possible to live with rather quietly. In times of crisis : This is the most difficult period to manage. It is possible to wear makeup with perioral dermatitis. However, it is important to stay in the dynamic of detox cosmetics and apply only powders to the face. If you use a liquid foundation, the skin will not be able to get out of the inflammation because it will absorb the moisturizing component of the foundation. Concealer is not recommended in times of crisis for the same reasons as the foundation. The face can be very red and swollen, the only way that can make this moment a little more livable is to slightly hide the redness with a powder type compact foundation or mineral powder. You can apply your powder with a brush or with a slightly damp Beauty Blender sponge. The softest way to apply the powder will be to lightly pat your face with your tool. You can apply the foundation powder all over your face, even under dark circles to unify your complexion. It is possible to combine a bronzer or a blush if you want to structure a little more your face. However, I advise you to keep your hand light. In rest period : When the skin is fine and it does not have inflammation, it is possible to wear makeup normally. As for skincare products, vigilance will still be put in the products used and their compositions. The advice I could give you is to avoid layering and too thick formulas that tend to suffocate the skin. About the brands, I have used several products and I can tell you those with which I did not have any problems in connection with perioral dermatitis. However, it is possible that your skin reacts differently from mine : Bare Minerals : Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream —— my fave & use it almost everyday Embyolisse : Poudre Compacte Bonne Mine Lancôme : Miracle Cushion Laura Mercier : Loose Setting Powder Urban Decay : concealer, One and Done, Powder foundation
Need makeup feedback please!!
I’ve never been great at doing my makeup. I’m also terrible at taking selfies. I’ve been working on techniques for hooded eyes as well, and I put the eyeshadow above my crease, but you still can’t really see the eyeshadow I applied. Does my makeup look cakey as well? I would really appreciate some feedback. Thank you! I’d love to try something with some sheen, but no glossy, and in natural shades. I prefer toxin-free. Any recommendations?
Charlotte Tilbury VS GlamGlow
Charlotte Tilbury - Hollywood Flawless Filter GLAMGLOW - Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter ($44) versus GlamGlow Mega Illuminating Moisturizer ($48)! ✨ I love a glowy look to my everyday makeup. Here are two similar products at similar pricepoints. Both claim to add an illuminating effect to the skin and both can be worn alone or on top of makeup. GlamGlow is more of a true moisturizer texture. It isn’t super thick, I would compare the texture to Farmacy’s HoneyDrop moisturizer. It’s pretty glowy with no makeup yet I found that it disappeared under makeup. Charlotte Tilbury is more of a glowy foundation. Under makeup, it looks gorgeous and adds the slightest coverage. I prefer this product because it also looks amazing mixed into makeup and personally, I prefer the golden glow of this product to the GlamGlow one. I have an oily skin type but neither of these break me out or make me too shiny as long as I add a powder on top. Both of these glowy products are great! Personally, I would go with the CT one because of its versatility and gorgeous natural glow ✨

I don’t wear make up all the time because I work from home but when I do I prefer a natural finish that does not sink in and accentuate fine lines. The DR. JART+ Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 is my go-to for a natural look during the day! It’s hydrating and has color adapting properties that suit my skin tone perfectly while also being very natural and still allowing my skin to show through. For reference I use the light to medium shade. A cult-favorite all-in-one beauty balm perfects the complexion with a powerful anti-aging complex while shielding skin from UV damage and is a product that I frequently recommend for all ages and skin types. At $39 it’s not exactly drugstore pricing but also still very fair compared to a lot of the other foundations in the market. Dr. Jart+ - Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45

✨My Setting Spray Awards✨
I have typically oily skin with the occasional breakout and dry spot, depending on the season. Right now since it’s winter, my skin has been pretty dry, but usually my skin is oily. I like to change the setting spray I use depending on how my skin is acting that day, the type of look I’m trying to achieve, or what I have planned that day/how long I need my makeup to last! My UD sprays are the older packaging, but work the same. I stocked up whenever Sephora put the old packaging on clearance a while ago. I also spray these as the final step before I do my mascara, then I’m ready to leave for the day! . Best for Long Days: URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray keeps making looking freshly applied for at least 16 hours. I love using this when I know I need my makeup to last all day or I’ll be busy and won’t have time to touch it up. The nozzle of the sprayer is one of the easiest ones I’ve ever used, it’s always consistent and never gets caught or stuck and sprays a fine mist that doesn’t make your face wet, but sets the makeup nicely and locks it in place. There is no noticeable scent! You barely need a few spritz of this for it to work, so it will last a while! Price: $15 for Mini size (1 oz/30 mL); $33 for Standard size (4 oz/118 mL); $42 for Value size (8 oz/236 mL) . Best for Oily Skin: URBAN DECAY - De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray controls oils, keeps the face matte and makeup looking freshly applied. I enjoy using this whenever my skin is being oily, I know I can always count on it. It doesn’t dry out my skin either, which I’ve found a lot of oil-controlling setting sprays will do. This has the same nozzle as the All Nighter so I love it and know it won’t mess up my base makeup. This helps prolong the oil that can overtake my foundation and ruin my look. There is no noticeable scent! You barely need a few spritz of this for it to work, so it will last a while! Price: $15 for Mini size (1 oz/30 mL); $33 for Standard size (4 oz/118 mL) . Best Dewy Finish: SKIN&CO - Truffle Therapy Radiant Dew Mist has a nice minty, refreshing scent that invigorates the senses. It’s a hydrating mist that soothes, protects, and illuminates the skin. It has a great nozzle that can have larger size droplets, but I also like to really spray my face with this 😝. I love using this when my face is on the drier side since I do notice my skin doesn’t feel as tight and melts my foundation and powder products into the skin and creates a more natural look. I don’t find that it makes my skin more oily though out the day. I also enjoy using this during the day whenever my skin feels a little right or needs a boost, this is the perfect pick me up! I’m flying through this with how much I’ve been using it recently due to my skin being drier from the weather! It’s so good! I got it in my Fall 2019 FabFitFun box and have bought more from the brand with how much I’ve loved this product. Price: $35 for 4.06 oz

This is perfect for my dry, sensitive skin!
BURT’S BEES - Goodness Glows Tinted Moisturizer This is perfect for my dry and extremely sensitive skin! I use this in the shade Ivory, I love how hydrating, light-weight and blendable this tinted moisturizer is. It has a beautiful, dewy finish and lasts most of the day. This product has never irritated my extremely sensitive skin it’s also cruelty free and non-toxic. This product is light coverage, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you wanted a medium or full coverage finish. BURT’S BEES - Goodness Glows Tinted Moisturizer

Most loved primers ✨
These are some of my recently favorite primers. They all make my skin really soft and smooth, ready for makeup or great on its own. These have worked great for my sensitive combination skin! First aid beauty coconut smoothie primer moisturizer: i love that it comes in a packaging that you can squeeze out. Texture is like a very light moisturizer and has a faint smell of coconut. When you squeeze it out it has a very slight sparkle but not glittery and when you blend it out it goes away. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Limited Edition Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer Milk makeup hydro grip primer: it’s a gel consistency. Its a really great primer. After I smooth it out it’s somewhat tacky but not super sticky so it’s fine to wear it on its own. The only downside is the smell of this, it smells like plastic but when you blend it into the skin the scent fades away. Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer Glossier priming moisturizer: this is more on the liquid side. It has a slight clean/ honeysuckle scent but fades away quickly. It’s really nice texture and really smoothing. Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Amuse face primer: I bought this on the miss a site. It’s only $1! It’s feels really nice on my face and works really well. This is my third purchase, I recommend you try this out. Ysl touche éclat blue primer: this is fantastic for oily skin. I mainly use this on my t-zone, but it’s nice all over my skin. My forehead is really oily and this makes it matte and smooth to apply any type of makeup on. This has a slight fresh airy scent and it’s not too much. It does have ‘glitter’ in it but they’re very small and they blend into the skin so don’t worry about having a glittery face. Hellooooo Milk Makeup! I can’t tell you guys how excited and in love I am with this stuff, it’s like they were all made for me! Matte Bronzer: I love. I love so much. It’s incredible value as this will last forever for a decent price. I was swiping it on my skim and blending out and then switch to going into the product with a brush then the skin and I honestly like both ways. It’s not for contouring as it’s quite warm, but it warms up the face for a sun kissed glow perfectly. It blends perfectly and isn’t super matte. It surprisingly works well over powder! And yes, it does smell like play dough Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer Flex Foundation: I cannot stop using it. It glides onto the skin and melts and blends in really beautifully with a sponge. When I apply a decent powder on top it stays in place all day, but will separate pretty badly on its own. The colour match is spot on and doesn’t cover up any glow that my skincare and primer provide! I’m not so sure about the skincare benefits, but my acne prone skin tells me that it’s good for those who are sensitive!! I’m going to keep this for travel as it’s so tiny and non liquid. I highly recommend using the hydro grip primer with it too!Milk MAKEUP - Flex Foundation Stick Kush Lash Primer and Mascara: I don’t know how to typically use lash primers, but I’m impressed. It fattens up my lashes really well and gives me the volume I crave. The mascara is lengthening and volumizing too on its own and with the primer. I love how my lashes feel so soft and not stiff with this. It makes removing it literally effortless with an oil cleanser, I don’t get flakes and fallout during the day nor does it smudge. I used the mascara months ago and remember it helping my lashes grow too Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Lash Primer Vegan Milk Moisturizer: love. New holy grail. That’s it. Kidding!! It’s the thickest cream I’ve ever used and it’s so soft and gentle. It feels almost too thick at first but then melts into the skin with some warmth. It’s completely free of irritating ingredients and I have immediate redness reduction and zero tightness when I use this morning or night. It doesn’t pill up over an oil and makes primer and foundation go on very smoothly. Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Moisturizer
