BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT ‼️
First things first - FOLLOW MEEEE 🤗🤗 So like many of us, I absolutely bought into the hype of this product. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great, but it is so incredibly dangerous. It’s now illegal in Australia and Canada due to its high level of acidity. Direct acids are still relatively new to the skincare game and many people are still not informed on how to use them appropriately. I’m going to give some tips below on how to get the most out of this product. If you use this product, it should be your ONLY exfoliator for the week. No applying lactic acid serums, glycolic serums etc. You will over exfoliate and over sensitise you’re skin. DO NOT USE ANY ACTIVES THE NIGHT OF APPLYING THIS PRODUCT. This is crucial. Simply just following up with your toner (if it is a gentle one) and moisturiser. Don’t freak out your skin. I got a chemical burn after using retinol after this product. SUNSCREEN SUNSCREEN SUNSCREEN!! You must put on sunscreen every morning, unless you want to increase your risk of cancer and chemical burns. To see a difference on skin's texture, the results are much slower and requires continuous usage over a much longer period of time. Don’t use this more than once a week in hopes of speeding up the process of improving skin texture and discolouration. I know the product says you can use it twice per week, but seriously just don’t. Even if your skin can handle it, it’s not worth the cancer risks and long term sensitisation. I personally use it only once a month and use more gentle exfoliators throughout the month. This product seriously destroys your skin barrier guys be careful with it! Thanks for coming to me Ted Talk xx Pic from Sephora
