VERSED + PHILOSOPHY : first impressions

i recently bought VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm
and philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser
, and i have a few initial thoughts after having used them each a handful of times: VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm
this is my first oil-based cleanser, and subsequently it is gonna be a little weird. i do like the almost-vaseline texture of the balm and how my skin feels after removing it, but i resent the smell and that it is not eye-safe. i would love a recommendation for oil-based cleansers that are, if any! philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser
i really like this one so far. it has a creamy consistency and super-light fresh smell. i have very sensitive eyes but experience no discomfort when using it around them, and it removes all makeup with ease. i’ve thought about buying this for ages and i am so glad i did! i hope you enjoyed ;) please be sure to follow here and on my IG @chloebrk.mua #cheriecreator

MY CLEANSER COLLECTION : CRUELTY-FREE
here is a post detailing my collection of vegan + cruelty-free cleansers that i’ve used in the past year. for context, i have oily/combination skin that is not sensitive to fragrance. for basic cleansing/makeup removal: cocokind - Facial cleansing oil i purchased this about a week ago. the oil itself works well to remove even eye makeup, however it is CLEARLY scented which i don’t like for removing eye makeup. also, the pump for mine is either super clogged or doesn’t work at all, as i’ve struggled a LOT with getting any product out sadly. i will continue to try using it but would love recommendations for how to fix it. VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm i really did not like using this. i used it about three times but even that was too many for me. the texture is great but the scent is so overpowering and it is not eye-safe. also, it made my skin very dry and irritated after using it. i don’t use this anymore and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with dry or sensitive skin. philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser i have used this for about a month and i love this!!! it has a very light fragrance which doesn’t irritate me, it removes all makeup (even waterproof) with ease, it does not foam, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry!!! Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Cleanser i have been using this one for less than a week and i do find myself reaching for it very often. it has no scent and foams evenly and nicely without leaving the skin feeling dry. it also removes eye makeup very well which is a bonus!! specific treatment: THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser i have used this for about a year and it’s my favourite acne cleanser. i have reviewed and spoken about this many times, but it is fragrance-free, foams lightly, cost-efficient and super effective yet gentle. love!!! e.l.f. - Superclarify Cleanser i purchased this on a whim and have used it periodically for the past few weeks. it has niacinamide in it, but due to the effects of using it being more long-term i don’t have much info on it. it is scented (lightly, in my opinion) and foams with a nice cooling sensation on the skin. it has not left my skin feeling dry or stripped and is pleasant to use. PACIfICA - Kale Detox Deep Cleaning Face Wash i bought this about two or three months ago and used it for a week straight daily. it left my skin feeling dry and i ended up breaking out pretty severely after using it. it smells like kale and it foams a lot. it is eye-safe but after my experience i wouldn’t use it near my eyes again. i haven’t used it since the breakout. hope you enjoyed! #cheriecreator

I tried Double Cleansing!
Hey y’all! First, after reading several of y’alls posts on double cleansing and using cleansing balms, it sent me down a rabbit hole of researching 😂 So here is my end of day/nighttime double cleansing routine: For a few weeks I have been using the VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm to break down my make up and overall daily dirtiness. I LOVE this stuff! it smells delightful and the scent is very light! it breaks down my make up it breaks down the dirt and oils that build up it leaves no residue! it leaves my skin feels soft and moisturized After using the balm, I turn to my trusty facial cleansing brush and put a nickel size amount of philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser this cleanser does NOT dry out the skin very faint smell, if at all any deep cleansing without leaving skin feeling stripped this truly leaves my skin clean, fresh and ready to take on the rest of my skin care! You can find the facial cleaning brush on Amazon. Just remember to keep it clean. I usually wash mine once a week with Dawn dish soap (rinse thoroughly!)

Green Clean 💘 Holy Grail Makeup Remover!
Green Clean 💘 Holy Grail Makeup Remover!
FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm One of my all time favorite products is green clean! I’ve been using this product for 4 months and it’s consistently one of my favorite makeup removers! Farmacy is a clean at Sephora brand, formulated without over 50 harmful ingredients including sulfates, parabens, and phthalates. This product starts as a balm and melts into a milky lather. I love that it’s main ingredients are sunflower and ginger root, perfect for removing even waterproof makeup! It’s also formulated with Turmeric and morniga extract, along with papaya enzymes. This product feels so good on your skin! The balm like texture melts so easily into your skin, it exfoliates and smooths! It comes with a handy little spatula to scoop out product. This one jar has lasted me a really long time and at 3.4 OZ for $34.00 I feel like it’s a good deal for the high-quality ingredients this product is formulated with! I would recommend this to everyone! I think it would be great for all skin types 💘

FARMACY-Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm
The best makeup remover!
The best makeup remover!
The Farmacy Beauty Green Clean cleansing balm is a unique balm that melts away sunscreen and makeup and cleans the skin, perfect for a first cleanse for the double cleansing method. This removes waterproof eye makeup, foundation, and sunscreen wonderfully. I love the texture of this balm, it begins as a solid and when you warm it between your fingers it starts to liquefy and you can see it removing all of your makeup and grime from the day, once water is applied it emulsifies and zero residue or makeup is left behind. Not to mention it smells exceptionally fresh and citrusy. This is the only makeup remover I can use and feel comfortable that it is doing its job to remove all of my makeup or sunscreen from the day. My skin does not feel clean if I don’t use this as a first cleanse. I have bought about three of these already and have been using it for over a year, and will continue to always use this! It doesn’t make my skin dry, and it removes EVERYTHING. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for that extra step to thoroughly cleanse the day from their skin, whether it be makeup or sunscreen, this product takes it all off. I have recommended this product to a lot of friends and family, because I love it so much. Like I said, I will always continue to buy it, so I definitely think it is worth the price and using this as a first cleanse is worth the effort because it really does a fantastic job of melting away makeup/sunscreen. This product deserves  a 5/5 ⭐️ FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm

💚 I really like this cleansin
💚 I really like this cleansing balm. It has a light airy texture and since I am partial to citrus, I enjoy the scent. It is effective at breaking down oil, makeup and sunscreen and I appreciate that at times I can skip the cleansing cloth and just splash warm water before moving on to my second cleanse. My eyes are quite sensitive and I am happy to report that that this balm does not irritate my eyes or do the annoying cloudy thing. .

FARMACY - Very Cherry Clean Ma
FARMACY - Very Cherry Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm This is just as awesome as the original Green Clean cleansing balm but with a bright, fun Cherry scent! I use this every night to remove makeup, sunscreen or product before cleansing with my regular cleanser. I’ve found this removes all traces of makeup including mascara without blurring my eyes. I highly recommend this cult fave in its limited edition cherry scent.

This is my first introduction into cleansing balms and I must say I am OBSESSED. I used to just scrub the crap out of my face with a makeup wipe and SOMETIMES wash my face after.. I know my skin hated me... This makes taking your makeup off sooo easy AND it doesn’t leave any type of residue/film on your skin so it’s not necessary to double cleanse (all the power to you if you want to.. sometimes I’m just too lazy to). The only downside I have is that from rubbing/massaging the product to get mascara off I do get a little bit in my eyes and it stings for a couple minutes which is why i gave it a 4 ⭐️.. even though that might just be a me problem 😅

Farmacy Green Clean & Very Cherry Cleansing Balm
Farmacy Green Clean & Very Cherry Cleansing Balm
I’ve been having a bit of a love affair with Farmacy’s cleansing balm lately. I first purchased the limited edition Very Cherry Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm and fell in love with the buttery consistency and how little product you actually need to get off makeup. Sooo, during the most recent Sephora sale, I bought the regular Green Clean, and I also had a little mini which I’m excited to bring along with me to travel! Green Clean is marketed as a makeup remover (I also use it when I’m not wearing makeup to get rid of sunscreen and other build up!) that leaves skin hydrated and smooth. I appreciate that this product doesn’t leave a film on my skin after it is washed off and also how much product you get (3.4oz for $34 or 1.7oz for $22) because like I said, a little really does go a long way. I honestly do not like the smell of the Very Cherry version, to me it smells an awful lot like cough medicine but I guess that I should’ve expected that since I can’t really think of any artificial cherry smell that doesn’t smell like that. It doesn’t bother me though, and the standard Green Clean has a pleasant citrus smell. It takes off even waterproof makeup without making my vision go blurry and I really think its a great value for the money. It contains Sunflower and Ginger Root Oils which prevents skin from being stripped of its natural oils when removing makeup, as well as turmeric and Moringa Extract to remove impurities, sunscreen residue, and fight the effects of pollution. Additionally, it contains papaya enzymes to naturally exfoliate the pores. So, while it is a cleansing balm first and foremost, it does go beyond the call of duty to provide extra benefits to the skin at still a reasonable price. I’ve been using this balm for about a month now, and I still have a long way to go on the first one. I decided to try it because everyone and their mother rave about Green Clean and I figured it was time for me to give it a test, and it passed! I would 100% recommend this to others because of the ease of use, value for money, quality of ingredients and ethics of the brand (this product is vegan, cruelty free, gluten free and IN RECYCLABLE PACKAGING!!) It makes taking off my makeup a fun experience and it is definitely worth the price provided it requires minimal time and effort to get the job done with this guy in hand. 5/5, of course.
