My goal for my skin has been -acne control -pore minimization -hyperpigmentation -(Not depicted is my cheek hyperpigmentation) I started my skin journey about 3 months ago and have finally found a routine for my combo oily skin I’m currently use: Day Cleanse: #KORRES - Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser Tone:#puremay - Soft Serum Toner #KORRES - H2Rose Hydrating Face Mist Hyperpigmentation: #The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA #ORGANYS - Vitamin C Serum #PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum #PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream Sunscreen: #ELEMIS - Daily Defence Shield SPF30 Night: Cleanse: #CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin (Alt night) #CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser Tone: #PAULA'S CHOICE - Enriched Calming Toner (Alt night) #The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution (can be irritating) Serum: #The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Acne: #DIFFERIN - Acne Treatment Gel (Alt night) #The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution (once a week) Moisturizer: #CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion (Alt night) #CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin (only when I use the glycolic acid toner) #SUNDAY RILEY - Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream (some peel nights) This has taken me trial and error but this has given me the best results. #mybeautygoals “
Apple cider vinegar: 2 week check-in
I started my mornings with a cup of warm water, a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and a splash of lemon juice. Jennifer Aniston says that this is the secret to aging gracefully and maintaining a healthy metabolism. ACV is also noted to help with bacterial and fungal acne, as well as brighten complexion. There are so many documented properties of the ACV cleanse (some researched and some a matter of opinion.) But here are the changes I saw: less puffiness improved skin brightness better skin texture more energy my gut felt healthier *I did not see as much change in my acne as I’d hoped, but I was also on my period the past week, and consumed a more sugary diet :( I really want to continue this process to see what the longer term benefits provide for me and my body. Also it was so refreshing to replace my cup of morning coffee for a cup of ACV. I felt refreshed and healthy.. and the ACV didn’t hit my gut as hard as my acidic morning coffee usually does. If you plan on doing this yourself, I recommend keeping the ACV to water ratio low, and not consuming more than 2 tablespoons of ACV, as the acidity could burn your oesophagus. ACV has acetic acid, which neutralizes the PH of your gut. But you definitely want to water that stuff down. (Also it’s super gross straight up, so why torture yourself?) All in all, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a homeopathic method of improving your overall skin health. Let me know if you end up trying this, and how it works for you!
Should I change my routine?
I have combo and acne prone skin. I used to use Himalaya skin products, until i switched to western skincare. I now use a camomile makeup remover from The Body Shop, Aloe foaming cleanser from The Body Shop, Tea tree oil also from The Body Shop, Niacinamide from The Ordinary & hyaluronic acid from The Ordinary & SPF moisturiser from CeraVe. Ive seen improvement in my skin with major pimples being diminished pretty quickly but I still have bumps & pimples all over my face, blackheads on my nose & little bumps on my eyelids. I struggle with dull skin & my skin texture generally changes during seasons.
Finally getting happier with my skin!
So it might appear that I have a lot of active acne spots on my forehead still, but it’s mostly just dark spots left from old pimples! I only have like three active tiny bumps on my forehead at the moment. My jaw is doing better as well, and there has been some very minor purging with the Differin gel but no hormonal cysts have popped back up. I have been using dear, klairs - Free Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask with dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop at night to help with scarring! I will probably leave a more detailed review about these two later on. :) I just woke up so sorry if I look a bit disheveled! Let me know if you guys have any questions.

I just want to share a little bit of my problem areas with y’all! My chin is home to breakouts and so are my cheeks. My skin tends to breakout from August all the way until early May. Once summer hits, it clears up as if I never have acne. My acne is painful and itchy and mostly inflammed! It never wants to heal! Plus, I also scar easily. One of the main things that has helped me to clear up my skin is staying away from fast foods. During the summer, I stay in the house and I rarely go out because my mom says, “No one has McDonald’s money.” However, when August hits I’m constantly out and going places so I tend to eat out more. I didn’t realize the connection between my acne and fast foods until recently. I started college last year and my skin was crystal clear! Like I was high on life and I felt so confident. Unfortunately for me, I started eating out every day at Burger King, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. It wrecked my skin and led to terrible breakouts. My skin didn’t clear up until I went back home for Thanksgiving and Christmas break. I learned it matters what you put in your body 😅 I just wanted to share a lesson I learned the hard way.

Hi there! I’m new here, and I’m excited to share some of the products that I love! I’ve struggled with acne for many years and just got better once I took isotretinoin for 5 months.. since then, my skin always was like normal to oily, but it’s been one year that my skin started to change. I’m having problems with dark spots.. I don’t know if is due to computer brightness or something else.. but since then I started looking for products to solve this.. trying a lot of sunscreen, brightness, etc etc.. excited to share my tips and learn/ find new products! 😍
9 month skin transformation (old photo included)
So i just found this app through instagram and i figured i'd share this with you guys. Basically, i've dealt with severe acne & (less severe) eczema for 4 years. I also have very sensitive skin, to the point where just washing my face with Neutrogena Oil Free Face Wash would cause my skin to flare up. Through a LOT of trial and error, i've found the perfect combo of products for my skin. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I apply this along with the hyaluronic acid every morning and night first. It has improved the random discolorations and acne scars for sure! VANICREAM - Moisturizing Skin Cream After all of the Ordinary acids, i apply this. It's super cheap to just buy a big jug of it and it lasts quite a while. Aczone - ACZONE Gel 7.5% At night, (unless there are a significant amount of pimples in which case i also apply this twice a day), I apply this last. It has definitely been the most influential on my acne. I still occasionally am left with patches of pimples, but none are even close to the severity of those i dealt with for years. I hope this is helpful to anyone dealing with skin issues similar to mine!
