Creator: @Elyas 👏 “Summer is that time of the year when I amp up my nail art game! Mangoes have taken over menu cards at every restaurant, cute umbrellas have been put out for shade, and even pretty summer dresses have been pulled out of the closet. The vibe is fun, colorful, and vibrant, which is inspiration enough for a fabulous manicure! When it comes to nail art, it does not need to be difficult. A basic nail art tool like a toothpick can go a long way to achieve any look that you desire. Here are 5 easy nail art techniques that you can create with a toothpick, and together they make for a cute summer manicure. THINGS YOU NEED: Orange and white nail polish Clear nail polish Toothpicks STEPS TO FOLLOW: 1. Apply a thick layer of two shades of nail paint on the left and right side of the nail. Take a toothpick while the paint is still wet, and make a zig-zag motion to blend the two colours together. 2. Go minimal with a swipe of your favourite nail paint along with three dots in the centre of the nail in any accent colour. 3. Paint the tip of the nail with orange nail paint, and make white dots on it. Work in a gradient effect where the dots are bigger at the tip of the nail, and smaller as they hit the centre of the nail. Go back with the orange nail paint and fill in the gaps as needed. 4. Paint your nail with white nail paint, and create 3 small flowers on the left tip of the nail. Fill it in with a few polka dots. 5. Paint your nails with orange nail paint, and use a toothpick to create a flower by making 5 dots in a circle. 6. Seal in all the looks with a top coat. Finished!! Do u like it??”

I made a pastel nail design at home, and this is what I finally got
I made a pastel nail design at home, and this is what I finally got
Due to the covid-19, we’d better stay at home if we could, so I have reduced unnecessary outings which include doing manicure at nail salon. But I don’t like my nails go without any color, so I have tried to do a nail design by myself. Being tired of bright or neon color, I find myself being allured by pastel colors recently. Among all the nail polishes I have, I picked a coconut milk white, a dusty blue and a lavender. Mixing them up, finally I got this pastel nail look! Let me show you how I did this look. Step 1 First of all, trim and shape nails carefully. I shaped my nails into round.   Step 2 Give all the nails a transparent base coat for preventing them from breakage. For the ring fingers and forefingers, plus the thumb in my right hand, I give them a coconut milk whit coat.   Step 3 Give all the nails embellishments for extra cuteness. Each nail is accented by hand painted small color block which composed of dusty blue and lavender. For those fingers with transparent base coat, add a white embellishment.   Step 4 Finally, complete the manicure with a shine gloss top coat.

At home Polka dots
At home Polka dots
SUPER easy at home polka dots. I actually leaned this from watching my mom as a kid, she was a crafter and used this technique to create eyes! It was a no brainer to adopt this into nail art. My tools here are the two polishes I want to use, something to use as a “palette” in this case it’s a piece of foam. And a makeup brush I start with painting my nails the solid color that I want to use, I always do two coats even if the polish is opaque. Then I drop a small amount of the second polish color onto the palette I’m going to be using. I dip the end of the makeup brush ( non brush end) into the color and then stamp it on the chosen nail in any desired pattern. Seriously, it’s as simple as that! After I let it dry and top off with a clear coat and that’s your super easy super quick at home polka dot tutorial ! 💅🏻

Top Coat on a Budget
Top Coat on a Budget
Hey, y’all! If you’re looking for a reliable top coat that’s in reach by way of a drugstore, try Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri (red bottle)! When I’m in a pinch (which is usually lol) this top coat saves the day by drying in 5 min or less while coming through with an incredible shine. I’ve been using this top coat for over 7 years and haven’t looked back. One critique would be that because of its great drying chemistry the top coat doesn’t have a very long shelf life like the average product. Personally for me, someone who nail paints everyday, it lasts at most 4 months on the shelf. If you have tried this or considering it let me know! 💕
