My Korean Skincare Routine for Acne and Marks❣️
I’ve struggled with acne for 8-9 years and have even tried accutane, yet I STILL struggle with acne! It’s only been a couple of weeks, but I think I finally found the right skincare routine for my dry and acne prone skin! All these products in the picture are cruelty free and are from Korean Skincare brands! For my skincare routine, I start with the Saturday Skin Rise + Shine Purifying Cleanser, then use the Banila Co Dear Hydration toner, follow it with the Aromatica Rose Absolute First Serum, use the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel, then the Aromatica Rose Absolute Eye Cream, and finish it off with the Mizon A.C. Care Solution Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot treatment! Three times a week, I use the Femmue Gypsy Rose Calming Mask as well! I love the Saturday Skin cleanser because it doesn’t dry out my skin! Every other cleanser I’ve tried lately irritates my skin and strips it of its natural oils, leaving my skin dry and flakey! Not this one! I use the Banila Co toner because it has peppermint extract to help calm acne! This product does not dry out my skin either! The Aromatica serum has niacinamide to help calm acne and fade PIE (Post Inflammatory Erythema aka the RED/PINK marks leftover after a pimple). The Mizon Snail Gel has snail mucin to help with acne while also hydrating with anti-aging effects! My skin has definitely been more hydrated! I use the Aromatica Eye Cream under my eyes (obviously). I haven’t noticed a difference with my dark circles, but I mostly use it for extra hydration to prevent wrinkles. The Mizon Pink Spot treatment is to shrink any pimples! BUT GUESS WHAT!? I don’t have anymore pimples after 2 weeks! I barely even had any purging from these products which was super shocking. The Femmue mask is really nice because it doesn’t dry out my skin unlike a lot of other clay masks! I hope this helps anyone who is struggling with acne or PIE! Moonie Monday faves 🌙💖
I thing like a stack of Sailor Moon tapes and skincare! I’ve repurchased the SATURDAY SKIN - Waterfall Glacier Water Cream 3 times now (not at full price but on sale) and I love it. Gel-water creams are my favorite moisturizers because they work best for my oily skin. The SATURDAY SKIN - RISE + SHINE Purifying Cleanser is really nice; not too stripping with a light lemon scent. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask is a cult classic for a reason. My skin is glowy and radiant in the morning!
My Korean Skincare Routine for Acne!!
SATURDAY SKIN - RISE + SHINE Purifying Cleanser AROMATICA - Rose Absolute First Serum MIZON - Snail Recovery Gel Cream BANILA CO - Dear Hydration Toner I was on accutane for 4 months in 2019, and I thought I found the cure for my acne. Unfortunately, I started breaking out again in February of 2020. My breakouts went back and forth, but either way they left me with more PIE (Post Inflammatory Erythema aka those RED/PINK marks leftover from acne) My skin was also insanely dry and painful!! Any face wash I used just burned and irritated my skin even more! I didn’t have a consistent skincare routine, so I turned to peachandlily.com to look for a Korean skincare routine that’s also cruelty free. I think I found my new go to routine! It’s pretty simple, but after only 2 weeks I am satisfied with the products so far. Of course they don’t create miracles, but I don’t have any current breakouts (which I’m surprised my skin didn’t purge), my skin is MUCH more hydrated, and I feel as though my PIE looks slightly lighter! I started with the Saturday Skin Rise + Shine Purifying Cleanser, then use the Banila Co Dear Hydration toner to help with my acne, follow it with the Aromatica Rose Absolute First Serum, and finish it off with the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel! The Saturday Skin cleanser surprisingly leaves my skin moisturized! The Banila Co toner has peppermint extract to help calm acne. The Aromatica serum has niacinamide which is supposed to help calm acne and fade both PIE and hyperpigmentation. The Snail Recovery Gel has snail mucin to help calm acne and also moisturize with anti-aging effects! Overall I’m very satisfied with this new routine, and I will update in a month to see how my skin is doing!
Don’t get the hype
I think this cleanser is good as a makeup remover or first step in a double cleanse, but not as my regular cleanser. It gets makeup off great, but doesn’t really feel like it’s doing anything else. I don’t usually feel like my skin is clean after using this. It didn’t hydrate my skin, dry it out, clear my acne, or give me acne. It was just a basic cleanser that didn’t do anything. I would not repurchase this because I think you can get a better cleanser than this for a better price.
MARIO BADESCU-Enzyme Cleansing Gel
double cleansing is just as simple as it sounds, it’s when you use two cleansers in one routine. benefits - provides a thorough cleanse, truly getting rid of dirt, sunscreen, etc - minimizes appearance of pores - restores skin health - reduces wrinkles - keeps your skin smooth - brightens your skin - cleaner skin = less prone to breakouts - helps your skincare products absorb better *double cleansing works for all skin types* how to: 1) start off with an oil based cleanser. apply the oil onto your face, even with makeup on, and cleanse like usual. this cleanser will remove any dirt, makeup, spf, or any impurities without stripping your skin from it’s good elements 2) cleanse a second time after washing off the first cleanser, apply a water based foaming cleanser to a wet face and cleanse as usual. provides an extra cleanse to make sure your pores and skin is ready for the rest of your routine + it removes any residue from the oil cleanser.
These 3 are the triple threat of my cleansing routine. I use the biossance gel in the mornings and I’ve been using it with no problems for close to 3 months. I purchased it after taking the Sephora online quiz for acne problematic skin and after having tried and failed with all the recommendations I picked this one and hit the jack pot! After using and breaking out from the drunk elephant cleanser I went right back to this one and cleared up right away! You never know how good something was until it’s gone. Then in the evenings I take my makeup off with the Dermalogica Pre Cleanse gel. I prefer this then other balms I’ve tried. It’s easy to squirt out of the bottle and less messy! It does it’s job at cleaning even my fullest coverage makeup. Then I was the remaining debris off with the caudalie foaming cleanser. It had a light, fresh scent that makes my face feel so clean and pampered. Unlike most folks, I like my products to have a little smell to them. Makes me feel so fancy! So far, no problems and I’m liking these three together. Very light feeling and gets the job done!

Tarte Frxxxtion Stick
When I hastily did my unboxing of the wonderful #gifted goodies I received from @cherie , I didn’t read the description on this particular item and I initially thought that it was a mask because of the image on the packaging. To my surprise, tarte - SEA FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser is actually an exfoliating cleanser. I’ve never used and/or seen reviews of skincare products from @tartecosmetics , but I guess I was eager to try it because I knew how well their Shape Tape concealer performed. - To it’s credit, Frxxxtion Stick gently exfoliates with tiny microbeads, left my skin feeling super smooth, and I did notice a brighter finish after use. It’s also not heavily fragranced and it has a moisturizing finish to it. My ONLY con about this product is the application. 😞 It’s essentially a roll on, and is applied directly on my face. Although I did use it on cleansed damp skin, I felt like I was using a contaminated product, especially after using it on any kind of active breakouts or areas where my skin was sloughing. If you’re not too finicky about application like I am, then I would recommend this product, buttttt I personally will just wait for another exfoliating cleanser with a pump ✨

What’s in my bathroom?
Here are some products I bought previously before establishing my AM and PM routines that I haven’t parted with yet: bliss - Jelly Glow Peel I don’t love this obviously - I rated it two stars. As you use it it starts to pill up and sometimes the pilling sticks to my face after I’ve patted it dry 😂 Goodal Green Tangerine Moisturizing Cleansing Foam | ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love the smell and it foams up nicely making me feel like my skin really is being cleaned well. It can make my face feel somewhat dry and tight unlike the cleansers I use now. I would recommend this product for someone with oily skin. Aveeno - Positively Radiant 60 Second In-Shower Facial Cleanser I do still use this product. It comes in handy after a day at the pool or beach when I’ve reapplied sunscreen multiple times and my face is grimy from sweat. My face feels so soft afterwards. I prefer to use The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid 5% + HA as my typical exfoliant. MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion I still use this product as well. I prefer Clean & Clear’s 2% salicylic acid acne spot treatment but will use this occasionally. VERSED - THE SHORTCUT Overnight Facial Peel Glycolic and lactic acid make this overnight mask pretty powerful. I still reach for this sometimes to mix things up. bliss - Makeup Melt Jelly Cleanser This cleanser can also leave my skin feeling dry and tight on occasion unlike the Neutrogenia ultra-light cleansing oil I use currently as the first step in my PM double cleanse combo. HANHOO - Blemish Patch I’ve used other brands of acne patches that work better than the ones I have now. In general, I recommend these patches for larger breakouts. I typically apply them at night and remove them in the morning. They are little miracle workers! Jade Roller | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love rolling The Ordinary’s Squalane onto my skin as the absolute last step of my PM routine. Just don’t forget to spritz with isopropyl alcohol to cleanse after!
#Sunmay - Amino acid cleanser[products]#[FourStars] I really enjoyed using this cleanser as it was super gentle & hydrating as it claims while targeting fine lines and redness. When pumped out the bottle, the texture looks like noodles 😂 well broken noodles. It did foam easily but has more of a milky texture. It didn’t clean my pores as well as the caudalie foam cleanser I was using prior but it did clear up the minor pimples I got from it. It has a comforting (not strong) scent to it. But I’m not a huge fan of the dispenser as it does take longer than usual to get the amount I want. Overall, it’s a good cleanser. I’d recommend it if you like gentle cleansers.
