This duo has done wonders for my acne scarring
A few months ago when I introduced The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% into my skincare routine, my skin absolutely freaked out. I never had acne or barely even pimples before, and the result can be seen in my first picture. I decided to really work on fading the hyperpigmentation leftover from my acne, and these products have produced so much of a difference in only 2 weeks! I use lactic acid at night and the alpha arbutin in the morning, and they both have done wonders for my skin. Highly highly recommend!!

Makeup mistakes: choosing the wrong shade
I spent the longest time not really understanding (or caring) about makeup, especially when it came to choosing a face makeup product. I like very light coverage, but was having trouble finding something that suited me. I finally settled on It Cosmetics CC Cream. This is a rather full-coverage product as far as CC creams go. For the longest time I was wearing this product in a shade that was about two shades too dark for my natural skin tone. If I had just fake tanned it looked okay, but any other time it was WAY too dark, especially against my neck and chest. I was just really lazy and did not want to take the time to go to a store in-person and figure out which shade was right for me. Once I finally did, it was a total game changer. My whole face looked so much better, and my makeup looks were so much more natural. So the moral of the story is, take that extra time to find your correct shade! It makes all the difference! #CheriePartner

Easy zoom makeup routine š½š½
This is always my go-to makeup routine, but I find that it has been looking amazing on my Zoom school calls! I am a speech therapy student, so for my teletherapy sessions with kids I like to keep my makeup super simple and not distracting. For Zoom calls, I usually skip the primer and save that for when I am outside or spending long hours outside the home. I apply my Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint all over my face with a damp beauty blender. I really love how the sponge blends this product. Then, I heat up my eyelash curler with a lighter to help my lashes hold the curl. For my Zoom days, I just apply the L'ORĆAL - Telescopic Waterproof Mascara and L'ORĆAL - Voluminous Carbon Black Waterproof Mascara in order to lengthen my lashes and really just make my eyes pop. I also use ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel to brush my brows up and really open up and frame my face. Finally, I either just apply my trusty BURTāS BEES - Nourishing Mango Butter Lip Balm Tube or my Kosas - Kosasport Lipfuel if Iām wanting a little extra color, and I am good to go! Speech therapy involves a lot of modeling with your mouth, so I find that any lipstick or lip gloss is just kind of goopy and potentially distracting. I also skip out on highlighter, because I find that in the natural lighting I use, it is just a little too sparkly on camera! This look is all about not distracting the kids in my session. #CheriePartner

$25 vs $4 dermaplaning tools: which is worth it?
I purchased this $25 dermaplaning tool because it was one of the highest rated on Amazon, and I was wanting to see if I could find something that worked better than my $4 Tinkle razors! This dermaplaning tool has a light on the end of it, and comes with 5 replacement heads. It says that you are supposed to use a new head each time, but that seems like it will add up quickly! Dermaplaning is supposed to help remove old skin cells and peach fuzz to help makeup apply more smoothly and last better on the face. I had a very hard time using this more expensive dermaplaning tool. I really liked the light because it was easy to see which areas had peach fuzz left over, but I felt like the blades barely removed any peach fuzz or dead skin. I watched the instruction videos and followed the instructions, but I felt like no matter how many times I passed over an area, the hair remained. I honestly think I am going to return this product to Amazon and continue to use my $4 Tinkle razors!! They are not as pretty but work so much better! All of my peach fuzz gets removed along with dead skin cells. My face makeup wears so much better on my skin after I use the Tinkle razors! #CheriePartner

How to get natural plump and glossy lips š
Again, I first saw this product on TikTok! It was sold out at Ulta for the longest time, but I recently got my hands on it!! I opted for the peach scent. I love this as a gloss because it is not sticky at all, yet leaves my lips looking SO glossy and plump!! I hate lip plumpers because of how much they burn, and this gives me that lip plumper appearance without actually making them swell! The smell is a little strong and artificial. It can sometimes accentuate any dry patches on your lips, so be sure and exfoliate them beforehand! #CheriePartner

Stick vs powder highlighter āØāØ
I received the ciatƩ - Dewy Stix Highlighter in my FabFitFun box! I had never used a stick style of highlighter like this before, and was eager to try it. I usually use the NARS - NARS Highlighting Powder . One thing that I did not like about the Dewy Stix is that it had a whiteish tint to the highlighter, whereas I tend to prefer a warmer, golden shade with my highlighter. Also, I find that the stick tends to wipe off any base makeup that I have on, and it also transfers onto the stick itself. Overall I do like the stick because you do not need a second tool to help apply it, but it is also just kind of messy. I definitely still prefer the color and form of my NARS - NARS Highlighting Powder , but it was fun to try out a different form!! #CheriePartner
Dewy stix:

The best tinted moisturizer Iāve ever used!
The Beauty Counter Dew Skin tinted moisturizer is the perfect product if you want a nice dewy finish and not a heavy makeup look. Itās so easy to apply, I just use my fingers! And a 1.35 fl oz. size runs about $45. Itās currently on sale on their website by the way! Itās very light coverage but I find it to do a good job of concealing light pigmentation and just make your face look more awake. I apply it right after I cleanse and apply my eye cream and serum. You can just use it as a replacement for your moisturizer during the day. Iāve been using it for about 3 months now and would definitely purchase it again! Iām almost out of my container anyways since I use it daily. It doesnāt have a harsh smell and is very blendable. I use about 2 pumps for the whole face. I find makeup to stay on over it pretty well and it does last almost all day, even in humid conditions. Hope this reviews helps if youāve been on the market for a good tinted moisturizer! xx

Shower Fave! FAB KP Bump Eraser Scrub
FIRST AID BEAUTY - KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA
*skin has been dry and flakey
New topic, who dis?
Buckle up for my favourite shower line up guys! Starting in no particular order, this is the First Aid Beauty kp bump eraser. In no technical terms, kp is essentially that bumpy chicken skin you can get a round your arms and legs and it just doesnāt feel or look great. I myself have this on my arm and thighs specifically. I picked this up for my birthday in September - thanks dad - and still have a fair amount of the tube left. This really has a lot of product for only $30 or so. A steal in my books. Itās also super easy to just squeeze out in the shower - no fuss packaging is everything when your hands are wet.
The scrub itself works so well. Itās a grey and grainy texture which could honestly resemble cement. I usually use about two squeezes to cover most of my body, specifically areas of concern. This usually includes my elbows (forever suffering from black elbows help) my legs, thigh to calf and my butt bc who doesnāt want a smooth butt. Because this is a physical exfoliants I do find itās a little rough especially on my sensitive skin. If I scrub too hard or for too long I do find my skin gets raw, and I have taken off some arm hair accidentally. For that reason, Iāve limited use to this to only about once a week. After I shave, Iāll apply this and come out of the shower with new born baby skin. I immediately moisturize and my body is smooth for d a y s. We love it.
This is definitely something I would recommend trying if you do suffer from kp. There are other products out there that target the same thing but I find this is the cheapest and I can see the results immediately after use!

This product fixed my strawberry legs
skinfix - Resurface+ AHA Renewing Cream
Scrolling on Sephora, I was looking for a product that could help my rough and bumpy legs. I often get ingrown hairs and irritation from shaving. I came across this AHA lotion from skinfix and decided to give it a try.
Firs off, the product is a huge tub. You definitely get bang for your buck because this would last me so long. Iāve had it for a month so far and it looks like Iāve barely put a dent in it. I wasnāt expecting this to have a scent to be honest because I thought it was going to be for sensitive skin. I didnāt like the lime scent at first, but now I really enjoy it. The scent actually doesnāt irritate my legs as I thought it would and I enjoy it now! It smells so much like a margarita!
After almost 1 month if pretty consistent use, I can say that Iāve seen results! Iāve paired the use of this with a body scrub on my legs and while my legs arenāt perfectly smooth, theyāre definitely better! My legs are way less itchy and irritated after shaving and my skin tone is a lot more even. My legs are drastically less red and bumpy! I wish I had a before and after but I didnāt even think of snapping a before photo!
My only downside to this product is that its a bit expensive. $45 is a lot for a body lotion. As an alternative, I think people would see results with the Cerave SA lotion. While itās a BHA not an AHA, I think the results would be comparable.

$9 Dupe for Too Faced Better Than Sex!
Iāll admit, Iām a total mascara snob so when I saw an ad for MAYBELLINE - Falsies Lash Lift Mascara I purchased it immediately because who doesnāt want an instant lash lift effect?! To my surprise it lived up to every expectation and more! In fact, Iād say Falsies Lash Lift is a total dupe for the cult fave, Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara The wand is practically identical and both formulas are designed to thicken, lengthen, and curl for a va-va-voom effect. The most impressive difference is that Falsies Lash Lift doesnāt flake, while Better Than Sex does. With this in mind, think twice before spending $25 on a mascara when you can spend $9!
Too Faced-Better Than Sex Mascara
I finally got my act together & bought the drunkelephant TLC Sukari Babyfacial mask when I saw that sephora had the midi size available. Itās the perfect size to sample the mask before splurging on the $80 full size version. Itās a 25% AHA + 2% BHA Mask that uses a blend of acids to exfoliate dead skin cells as well as brighten & smooth skin. Iāve used twice now & am SO impressed. I follow up with the Marula oil and my skin felt and looked soft & glowy. I actually had a doctors appointment the morning after the first time I used it and my DOCTOR stopped to compliment my skin! I donāt have super sensitive skin so I didnāt get any irritation from this mask & will most certainly continue to use for my weekly āfacialā. šš
