thought i’d give an update for anyone else wondering about the Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo !!! i’ve been using it for roughly a month (I think) to try and treat what i think is fungal acne on my forehead. it worked well at the start and i felt like i noticed a difference, however a month later and i’m not so sure. still do get regular pimples like the ones in the photo but that was already happening before hand. think i may try the 2% nizoral shampoo rather than the 1% i’m using now. again if anyone has any recommendations for the small bumps you see on my forehead will really appreciate it. some of them are blackheads and i’m just waiting on The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masqueto be delivered to hopefully clear those up. 🌸🌸⭐️⭐️

Help me! Fungal acne + texture + redness
First picture is my night routine, 2nd is my morning! 3rd is my skin now :) First off, i have combo skin, my skin is NOT sensitive it can handle a lot. i have struggled with cystic, normal, and fungal acne, texture, redness, you name it for 5 years. I have gotten it much better, but it still isn't great NIGHT I double cleanse every night using The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser and Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser I then follow with ONE of my treatments all targeted towards either fungal acne or texture. I typically use them based on how my skin is feeling. I will leave on the aha/bha when i use them for 30 minutes, and then rinse so it doesn't cause fungal acne. Nizoral tends to dry me out:( however it is effective against fungal acne (which is typically on my jaw) COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I then follow up with the CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin I use it on wet skin if not using a treatment that day. I cant tell if this is clogging my pores or not as i don't have dry skin, but the daily lotion is not fungal acne safe.... however i sometimes still use that. MORNING I again useCetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser nice gentle rinse that doesn't dry me out I follow up with The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I feel like this helps with my cystic acne that I used to get, but does not help with oil production. and lastly SPF!!! I use the NIVEA SUPER WATER GEL SPF 50 (i can't find the product on here) it is FA safe and seems to work! overall, i STILL struggle with texture, fungal acne, redness, and an oily t zone. i'm thinking about trying out the LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cream Cleanser or the LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser. i'm scared the purifying one will dry me out tho. im also thinking about adding a hyalauronic acid serum in there and maybe a new moisturizer please help!! what am i doing wrong where i still have texture/FA! any recommendations!!! especially for a new moisturizer

My night routine 🌚
Hello beautiful people ! This is my nightly routine for acne prone and oily skin. For starters, as in my day routine I use the same two face washes that I use in the morning. But if anyone has any suggestions for a better oil cleanser for oily skin I would love to hear it ! Also with any of these products because this routine is all I have right now, but it isn’t working for my skin anymore ! But here is my opinion on these products! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this product is amazing !!! Especially for my skin! My skin is EXTREMELY OILY, and when I started using this it did wonders for my oil ! It may have broke me out a little and that’s why I ranked it four stars, but still amazing. The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA same thing as my morning routine, I use this as an eye cream and it works amazing ! Provides the right amount of moisture for the under eye. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA (Salicylic Acid) Liquid Exfoliator this product is in between for me. I do believe I overexfoliated my face at first and it dried the heck out of my skin and then when I stopped using it and started again, I broke out like crazy. I have recently reduced to only 3 times a week at night, but it’s still breaking me out. This product worked well at first, and I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or it’s the product, but I’m not a huge fan. And if anyone has any other suggestions PLEASE HELP ME 🤣 The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% the feeling of this product is WACK. It feels very silicony and I only use it with Paulas choice. I do like that it makes my skin feel less oily because it mattifies my skin, but other than that I have seen no difference within my skin from this product. CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I LOVE THIS PRODUCT !!! It’s so good and lightweight which is exactly what I need ! I never feel oily after using it, and it provides such a good layer of moisture even when I don’t use any other products listed above. IF ANYONE HAD ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP PLEASE HELP ME 🥺 my skin isn’t doing well, and it needs severe help. I have never stopped breaking out nor have I cleared up my skin in a LONG time. So if anyone knows of products that help with rough skin/acne I would love to hear what you guys have to offer !! :)

Targeting Dry Spots Without Buying New Product
If you have oily, combination, or normal skin, investing in a heavier moisturizer, oil, mask, or ointment just for specific areas of your face may not be the most economic choice, especially if it’s a random occurrence. As well, this avoids the roulette that is trying out new products that aren’t for your usual skin moisture level. Instead, take your usual moisturizer and gently pat an extra layer over the dry spot after the base layer has fully soaked in. Repeat as needed! My favourite moisturizers to use this method with are the The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA , stratia - Liquid Gold , and PAULA'S CHOICE - Probiotic Nutrient Moisturizer . #CheriePartner

1 week update!
This is my one week update on my simplified routine. I can see a big improvement on the little bumps/textures on my cheeks. In the middle of the week I had a huge breakout cluster on my cheek but resolved its self pretty quickly. Once my cheeks calmed down my forehead decided to take its turn..... I’m really hoping this is a purging stage... I will continue with this routine with no add ins for now. Any tips???

My two favourite new multitaskers!
To reference my first post, turns out I don’t have fungal acne! Here’s what I’ve been doing to help and photos to show how the itchy red spots are disappearing after only a few days! I received The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution from a friend after reading about all the benefits and uses it provides. I was recommended it by Cherie’s Skin Journey face scan for my light acne, but it also (according to other posts I’ve read): can be used on your underarms and legs to help reduce ingrown hairs and bumps can be used on your underarms to eliminate body odour (look up Lab Muffin’s post on glycolic acid online to learn more) can be used on your back and chest acne ! Now, I practically bathe in this stuff. I put it on every PM after I shower on my face, underarms, and any spots on my back. When I shave I throw some on there, too. I follow up with CeraVe - Renewing SA Lotion which is another multitasker that was again recommended through the face scan for my pores, redness, and wrinkles. I use it all over: on my legs and upper arms to treat my KP on my underarms after the glycolic acid toner on my face to help with pores, redness, and wrinkles and on my seborrheic dermatitis patches It still gets 5 stars from me even though my face looks a tad shiny once it’s applied. I’m so glad these products are safe and affordable! I’m only a few days in and my husband and I can already see a decrease in the pimples on my back and my face is drastically smoother and clearer! Now I’m just waiting to get CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinas it’s out of stock all through my city AND online! Hoping that this is the last missing puzzle piece to complete my skincare routine and help with my pores, as Cherie’s face scan recommended me in the last picture. Let me know in the comments if there are any other ways you use these products!

Skincare Overhaul!
Skincare Overhaul!
Hello skin care junkies! My name is Rosie and my skin needs more than a bit of help. Above is my most recent Skin Journey picture. My skin has always been sensitive, and my face is combo (oily cheeks, dryish everywhere else). Currently, my morning routine is rinse with lukewarm water, moisturize with BURT’S BEES - Daily Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin, and then use CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 for Face with Zinc Oxide. Nighttime routine is wash with CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinand then apply CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. This has helped my acne somewhat (am still working on not touching my face when stressed), but it’s skill there and so is my hyperpigmentation/acne scars. Furthermore, I’ve noticed that I frequently get razor burn/strawberry skin on my legs when I shave, and I do not know how to fix this. Please leave any comments for what you think may be helpful, I appreciate it all.

Accutane skin care suggestions?
Accutane skin care suggestions?
Hello community! I’m currently in my 2nd week of my second cycle of Accutane. My skin got pretty bad with all this mask wearing (thanks covid). Since staring Accutane my skin has gotten SUUUUUUPER sensitive and dry. I don’t remember having this bad of a skin sensitivity during my first cycle 5 years ago. I am a nurse so at the end of my 12 hours shift my pimples get dry and irritated, especially in the jaw/chin where my mask rubs against. My current skincare routine products are DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil + Free Brush Cleaner CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios Body and Face Gentle-Lotion Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 And I reincorporated The Ordinary - "B" Oil to try and lock in more moisture. The skin sensitivity is what’s seriously bothering my. My skin constantly feels itchy and burns. I would GREATLY appreciate product recommendations to help make this more tolerable. Much appreciated!

Cerave First Impressions!
Cerave First Impressions!
You’d have to be living under a rock to not know about this Salicylic Acid duo.. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Cerave and have been dying to try it out. When I saw that we got these back in stock at work, I grabbed them to see if they would help the sudden burst of acne I for some reason got... Here’s my first impressions!! Cerave SA Cleanser: So far I’ve used this twice now and I can’t say a bunch about it cause it’s not long enough to see results...BUT I really like the way it makes my face feel. It doesn’t make my face feel dry or tight after using it (It also has Hyaluronic acid, my best friend). I also love that these products are perfume free, but don’t smell like pure chemicals. I’m gonna keep using it and see if it clears up my acne. CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser Cerave Renewing SA Cream: I’ve only used this cream once so far, but I like that it goes hand in hand with the cleanser. It also has hyaluronic acid which I’m happy about. This cream is directed to extremely dry skin (🙋🏼‍♀️) so I feel like it’ll do something to the dry patches that appeared on my cheeks. I’ll have to continue to use this product as well, and with the cleanser to see how it does but so far I’m seeing what the hype is about!!! CeraVe - SA Moisturizing Cream For Rough & Bumpy Skin

Perfect Barrier Repair PM Routine
Perfect Barrier Repair PM Routine
If you have damage barrier and are finding that even the most gentle products are making your skin burn THIS is the PM routine for you! Step 1: Wash your face with the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser. It is very gentle and conditioning. This is not a face wash for people with normal skin, this is for dry sensitive types who do not need any additional stripping of the skin. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser Step 2: After your face is dry, prep your skin for moisture with the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner. It is called a toner, but really just acts like an essence and pre-hydrates your face time receive the creams. Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Toner Step 3: Go in with treatment with La Roche Posay’s Cicaplast Baum B5 to really repair the barrier and get the vitamins your skin needs. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Cicaplast Baume B5 for Dry Skin Irritations Step 4: La Roche-Posay’s Lipikar Moisturizing Lotion to moisturize your skin and further repair your barrier with their prebiotic water. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Lipikar Moisturizing Lotion Step 5: Time for the cream, this is a heavier moisturizer than the Lipikar but really locks in all the treatments. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin Step 6: Give your skin a little to rest but if you’re as dry as I am when your skin freaks out use some raw Shea butter as your last step. It’s completely non-comedogenic (will not cause breakouts/clog pores) and mimics your body’s natural sebum. To me this is the MOST useful step in my repair routine. It really helps my skin heal and reset! now - Solutions, Shea Butter, Certified Organic I know this is a pretty long routine and full of moisture, but it really helps to repair my skin after a flare or product destroys my skin’s barrier. My skin feels so much better today and I was able to use my normal routine with just a little extra moisturizer! Hope this helps those with this problem!

Is it okay to use this cleanser every day?
Is it okay to use this cleanser every day?
I’m starting out a new skincare regiment after destroying my face with Adapalene gel for 6 months. My question is is it okay to use a benzoyl peroxide (4%) face wash every day? I’ve heard you’re not supposed to use a 10% every day because it can dry out your skin but I have fairly oily skin and need it dried just enough so I don’t look like an oil monster aha. I’ve been using Cerave’s CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skinfor right now but it’s just not getting rid of my acne. I’ve noticed my skin looks brighter and healthier while I’m using it, but I still have pretty bad acne. Salicylic Acid doesn’t work on my face in terms of getting rid of acne, unfortunately or I would be using that cleanser instead! Thanks! (This is my first post so any advice is very welcomed! I’ll try to update once I get the hang of this! 😊)
