JANUARY 2021 : boxycharm review
the other day, i had the pleasure of receiving my first-ever boxycharm subscription box! i may be a little late seeing that the february box is already under way, but below i will be giving my first impressions on the products i received for january. i hope you enjoy! #Bali Balm - sweet orange & coconut lip balm[products]#[FourStars] this lip balm is really nice! it has a great scent and does not sit heavily on top of the lips. it isn’t the most moisturizing lip balm i have used and quality-wise it is pretty average, but i will happily keep this in my purse for on-the-go. FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya this moisturizer is so amazing and i’m very excited to use it more! it has a nice light fruity scent. it immediately absorbs into the skin and feels my face feeling hydrated without it being sticky or overly dewy. i have decided to incorporate this into my daily morning routine so keep your eyes peeled for more on this one! #Avant - Bi-Phase Hyaluronic Acid Rejuvenating Micellar Water[products]#[ThreeStars] i am not an enormous fan of micellar waters to begin with as i feel like they don’t clean my face at all, but i was eager to use this as i’ve never heard of the brand before. it has a light almost coconut scent. the product does separate in the bottle. it removes all makeup apart from waterproof eyeliner and mascara quite well in my experience so far. i will likely use this when i am in a rush to remove makeup but i probably won’t use it every day. #Violet Voss - Olive You Forever Palette[products]#[FiveStars] this palette is so pretty! the shadows are pigmented and blend very nicely, and the glittery shades apply so well. i can imagine this palette is perfect for green/brown/hazel eyes for both day and night looks. i am likely going to use it to create a look or two then give it to my mom as the whole colour scheme is perfect for her. tarte - Maneater Mascara this mascara is pretty good! it is a little clumpy but it certainly makes my sad little lashes visible. i can see myself using this on its own as well as with a full look. it is not waterproof and does transfer on the lid a little. i am so happy with everything i received and i’m super excited to continue to use all of these products. i hope you guys enjoyed my little review! #cheriecreator

Holy Grail Leave In Conditioner
Hello, lovelies! I would like to start my favorite hair care items posts out the right way by introducing this amazing leave in conditioner! As a hairstylist I am EXTREMELY picky about what I put on my clients' heads and recommend them take home. This is a best selling item in the salon I work in! Several of my clients are HOOKED. I use it on EVERY SINGLE CLIENT that sits in my chair! The best part about this product is that it is suitable for ALL hair types! Okay... I lied... the best part about this product is that it has TWENTY benefits. I have the list of benefits in the pictures! Please be sure to check them out! I recommend EVERYONE to use a leave in conditioner. Your hair will greatly thank you for using this one. Especially in the summer time because it protects your hair from the sun☀️, which can fade your hair color AND make it dry! 😢 The benefits are literally endless. I could rave about this product for hours! You can order or pick this product up at "Ulta" or pick it up from a local salon! It smells absolutely amazing and a little goes a long ways! It should last you several months! Another important thing to remember about leave in conditioners is that you should never apply them to your roots! That can make your hair very oily! You can spray this item in your hair from midstrands to the ends and brush it through or spray some in your hands and work it through the hair with your fingers. A brush or comb is recommended to really help distribute it evenly though. I hope you all try this product and fall in love with it! Until next time... I hope you all have a blessed week. Desperate for solutions& recommendations
So I discovered a few months ago that maskne is a real thing and I’m one of the victims 😫 I haven’t changed my diet, I did switch my birth control but I don’t think that is the cause of what’s happening on my poor face. My doctor just prescribed me clindmaycin (I think that’s how you spell it) and Adapalene and benzoyl peroxide topical a couple days ago. I’m posting on here and calling out for help on anyone who has/is dealing with similar issues and what they’re doing to clear it. everything that I’ve been doing isn’t working. Clean organic cotton masks everyday, no fragrance, washing my face morning, midday, night, no makeup at work.. help a sista out!
This 77.78% rice toner is an elixir for dry skin
HONEST FEMME FINDS: [I’m From] is quickly becoming a favorite brand of mine and is a true ally to the dry/dull/combo skin fam. I’m picky about my toners- I feel that toners are not a true skincare necessity and if I’m spending money to use one, it better be great! Many toners on the market are either too drying or hydrating but too sticky for me personally. I’m thinking of doing a post comparing my top toners but for now, here are my thoughts on this baby 🍼. I'm from - Rice Toner 🍚 FIRST IMPRESSIONS: the packaging is so minimal, so classy. The bottle itself is made of glass which is an upgrade for my vanity but not so much for my butter fingers- I’m always afraid of dropping it! The “white” of the bottle is 100% the toner itself. The rice extract must be very concentrated because it’s nothing like the opaque rice water I get when prepping steamed rice for dinner. 🍚 NOTABLE INGREDIENTS: other than the 77.78% rice extract from Korea, niacinamide is 5th on the list. Bútylene glycol, a popular humectant, is one of the last ingredients but may tell us why it’s so intensely hydrating. 🍚 USE: After a good shake the liquid comes onto my hand in appropriate quantities, has a pigmented pearly and chalky appearance but doesn’t feel gritty at all on the face. Once it’s patted on the face, the whiteness pretty much disappears, leaving a super comfortable and intensely hydrating residue so I really only use two “turns” each time. In the morning, I use this toner after my a quick water rinse and before my Vit C serum. The toner is also my go-to midday moisturizer because of how it plumps up my skin like a normal moisturizer would. It’s also the first thing I use after the shower now. Another thing to note is how soft and moist my skin feels even hours after application but isn’t sticky at all! 🍚 PRICE: this product currently retails for $25 on Amazon prime, a little higher than I’d normally pay for a 150ml toner. I do use way less of the product as I don’t “layer up” as I do other toners. Do I regret spending the $25? Absolutely not. Cheers to carbs for good skin health 🥂

I’d rather get coal then...
Id rather get coal then... E.L.F. Keep Your Balance Toner This product is marketed as a toner that helps to refresh your skin and keep your face moisturized. This toner also contains aloe and witch hazel. The consistency of this toner is super liquidy. My opinion: I absolutely hated this product I bought this product in hopes of helping to control my oil and help me be blemish free, however I felt that this toner actually dried me out and did not help me out at all. Although this product is only $8 at Ulta it is not worth it.
