The best hair oil ever?
VERB - Ghost Oil Hair oil is a tricky thing to use when you have oily (and I mean truly oily!) hair. I admit that I didn’t exactly know how to fit them into my haircare routine when I first got one, but it’s been a staple in my after shower routine for a few years now. I usually (read: pre-quarantine) wash my hair on a daily basis because of not it looks horrible. However, that means that my ends can tend to get on the drier side. Ever since incorporating oils into my routine, I find that my hair stays soft and shiny until the next day (or two) afterwards. I like to use a full pump on my mid-lengths to ends when it is still wet (my hair is hip-length). I love the way this smells and it glides through my hair effortlessly. I’ve applied it to dry hair as well if I’m going anywhere, and it looks amazing as well. I’ve heard some people say they take issue with this formula because it contains silicones, but I’m personally not against them in my haircare. This is another standout product from their line. I purchased this myself, but was recently gifted the Ghost line by Verb and can’t wait to test it out.
Favorite Drugstore Scented Body Wash
NATIVE - Natural Body Wash - Citrus and Herbal Musk Body wash has always been something difficult for me to find. Everything gives me major hives that stay on my skin for hours. As someone who usually bathes twice a day, this was obviously a huge headache. I’ve been using Johnson’s baby body wash and/or Dove sensitive skin. But, I always miss the scent experience when using those. I purchased this one on a whim, and I ended up absolutely loving it. It’s a clear gel formula that lathers up super nicely and doesn’t dry out my skin at all. I use it mixed in to the Johnson’s or Dove so it’s not too strong, but I’ve used it by itself and no hives! Even though this scent is marketed “for men” I love it, it’s a sophisticated citrus scent, which is my all-time favorite scent family. I highly recommend checking this out, it’s amazing, smells great, and is really affordable at ~$7. 5/5 stars?

Pore Care Mask
The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque This has been saving my skin lately, The Ordinary’s Salicylic Acid 2% Masque. I saw this when it launched and was very skeptical because many of TO products have not worked for me, but after seeing @seangarrette rave about it, I caved it and purchased it. It has a slightly grainy texture, which I don’t at all mind. I don’t use it all over my face, just on my nose/cheeks or as a spot treatment in any problem areas. I leave it on for the recommended time and then wipe it off with a cotton round (reusable, of course) with warm water. I find that it really helps to clear any stubborn spots. At $12, this mask is super affordable and I would highly recommend it if you have any stubborn areas you’re looking to tackle. 4/5 stars!

Your next HG Hydrating Mask
KORRES - Hydra Biome Probiotic Superdose Face Mask With Real Greek Yoghurt I am not even exaggerating when I say that this is the most hydrating mask — ever. I had seen this mask all over Instagram and figured it was one of those over-hyped products. When the brand reached out to me and offered to send it my way, I was very excited to try it out, but nonetheless skeptical. Well, I opened it and put it on the day I got it and I was in shock. Bouncy, hydrated, luminous skin with one use (do keep in mind that the results from masks will be temporary!). I knew I had a winner on my hands, but kept testing it because I loved it so much. This mask is stellar on its own, but even more so with the Hydrating Gel from Korres underneath (almost like a serum). I can’t see myself ever being without this mask again as it is a true winner. Love, love, love! 5/5 stars! *gifted by brand

Briogeo Haircare Trio
I received this trio from Briogeo a few months back and was so excited to test them out as I’ve been a huge fan of the mask for a long time. So here is my experience... Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask I have super oily hair, so I only ever used the mask on my mid-length to ends—it leaves my hair feeling and looking absolutely amazing. It also smells delish, and I find that I can use a bit more than a quarter size amount and my hair is looooong (almost hip-length). Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo The scrub is something I had never loved before because I didn’t feel it exfoliated enough. I still wish it was more scrubby but overall, I think it works for a light exfoliation. I love the inclusion of tea tree in this, the tingly feeling is really refreshing. Briogeo - Don’t Despair, Repair! Super Moisture Shampoo for Damaged Hair This is one I have to be super careful with. I used it from roots to ends the first time and while my hair looked amazing when it dried, it only lasted a few hours before my roots looked oily. I now use it only on my ends with a regular or clarifying shampoo on the roots. I have found it works really well for me like that. Overall, I’d recommend these three, but the standout product is the mask. It will fix any of your hair woes, so I highly recommend checking it out! *all three products gifted

New Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Oil!
Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Strengthening Treatment Hair Oil Briogeo recently released this new hair oil which the brand kindly gifted to me and I’ve been using it for a few weeks in tandem with other products in the line. It’s made with this line’s signature combination of coconut, rose, and argan oils. The addition of the tiny rose in the bottle is a whimsical and beautiful element which makes the product stand out and look like a jewel in the light. As someone with oily hair, I am always really hesitant to use oils as I’m afraid they’ll make my hair look terrible. I’ve been using this one on my mid-ends to ends and it makes my hair so silky and soft. I especially love to use it on days when I use a clarifying shampoo, as on those days my ends tend to be a bit drier. I usually put some leave in conditioner on wet hair and then seal it in with this oil. It smells lovely and gives a beautiful shine. I also love the fact that this is a black owned brand, which makes me even more thrilled to support them as I feel it is more important than ever to amplify the voices of minority-owned businesses.

Kiehl’s - Extreme hair growth
If you clicked on this post, you are probably suffering from thinning hair or you know someone who have thinning hair or you might be kind of freaking out that you might be losing your hair. No worries, let me share my hair growth story and products that helps me with my concerns. I have a bit thin hair around my hairline that shows through whenever my hair gets longer when I put it back in a bun or pony tail, people can actually kind of see my scalp which is always depressing. Especially when I see myself in a picture, that area specifically catches all my attention. Kiehl's - Amino Acid Shampoo According to dermatologist, this shampoo actually works very well for hair growth especially for people who has alopecia (which is genetical). I do have a friend who have used this system and her hair grew back. I used to have thick hair when I was in high school. I suffered terrible hair loss in my last year of college and it suddenly became an issue for me. I tried this system because of my friend and it works well for me. The effect was not immediate but I do see a lot of regrowth on my hairlines. Kiehl's - Amino Acid Conditioner I didn’t noticed much in the first month of trying it, but I got this one on discount in a Duo, so I decided to use it up before buying new ones. It was about 6 months, I started to get compliment on my hair after continuously using this product. I came to notice that my hair does look completely different than last year. It was shiny, full, and glory. I also feel that my scalp is healthier. I believe this products is one of the lines that does what it says. I agree it is a little bit expensive, but that’s because they put in all of the right ingredients to help you have thicker and more luscious hair.

No Laneige Replacement
This is the Unicorn Lip Plumping Balm from Truly Beauty! I bought it because I was excited for another balm to replace my Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (since I was running super low). I just tried it today and let me tell you: this is NOT a Laneige replacement. While the Lip Plumping Balm smells delicious and looks stunning (pepperminty with that gorgeous rainbow swirl) the consistency is thick until it touches the lips. It kind of melts into a thin, thin formula; honestly like a water. It’s not thick at all so I don’t think it can produce the hydration that the Lip Sleeping Mask used to give me. Also it’s not plumping?

AMAZING oily skin moisturizer
I have such oily and acne prone skin, not to mention sensitive and irritated like always. I’ve tried several gel moisturizers over the years and some I really enjoyed and others just got the job done. I then stumbled upon this one online and I was super intrigued by the entire ImFrom line and let me just say not only has this become one of my favourite moisturizers ever but so has the entire line If you have oily skin and are a little more used to moisturizing and using gel formulas, this is a great addition to your shelf of skincare ☺️ I love it because in the winter my skin does tend to feel more irritated and right and this is light but heavy enough to keep my skin moisturized and not make my skin cracked
