Sun Bum at it again
As promised I did buy the sun bum cool down lotion and the face sunscreen. The face sunscreen is just a regular face sunscreen doesn’t break me out, makes me look dewy too, only thing is it doesn’t have their amazing summer coconut smell but hey it’s spf 50 so I’ll take it The cool down lotion does have their amazing summer coconut smell and it also has Shea butter in it, it’s more light/liquid texture but it does hydrate very well. I really like using this as a summer lotion for my body All of the sun bum products are just amazing!! I highly recommend you try them out if you want to smell like a beautiful summer coconut!

THE ORDINARY HAUL UPDATE
the products I have purchased have been amazing, I'm absolutely in love my morning routine now is cleanse with squalaneThe Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser apply TO The Ordinary - Amino Acids + B5 then moisturize with CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream and what I forgot to put in my first post, I finish off with sun bum - Face Lotion SPF 50 before my makeup evening, cleanse again, use the The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution(please don't use if you have sensitive skin) my skin is used to retinoids from previous attempts at fixing my skin, and this product leaves me feeling clean, but sensitive skin can have a very different reaction then I mix together The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5withThe Ordinary - 100% Niacinamide Powder it comes with a little scoop and I use the recommended 1/4 scoop mixed with the hyaluronic acid. then I use the same moisturizer Now let's talk about my thoughts! I love the cleanser, it leaves me smooth, not dry, not right, but I feel super clean like the days dirt is just gone which is fantastic. the purge process has definitely started, but I just use acne patches and the purge so far isn't that bad. mixing the niacinamide with hyaluronic has been fantastic for me! I never liked the niacinamide with zinc, the zinc irritated my skin and I would get these pustules along my jaw bone which haven't made an appearance since I switched, so it was definitely the zinc. the amino acid serum, this one I'm conflicted. it has helped in preventing breakouts while wearing makeup, but it's so watery I would've preferred if it came in a spray bottle for easier application. not sure if I'd repurchase the hyaluronic could probably do what it's been doing to my skin. and the toner! arguably the most controversial of these products. this has helped brighten my skin so far, and my pores look so much smaller! that's probably the hydrating products I've been using, but I also haven't gotten blackheads clogging said pores either so I think it's a bit of both! I'm curious to see how effective this routine will be during my more hormonal days, I will continue to update!
An amazing and affordable sunscreen!
Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 The sunscreen obsession continues... part 2. I love the Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturizer and body lotions. I find that the light, gel-like consistency works super well with my acne-prone skin and since it’s oil-free, I know it probably won’t clog up my pores. I’ve been on the lookout for this for a while because I swear it wasn’t available in Canadian drugstores until recently but maybe I just completely missed it.... The good: It’s oil-free and non-comedogenic and I haven’t had any breakouts since trying this out. This sunscreen helps block UVA and UVB rays. It has the same consistency as their hydro boost moisturizer so it glides on so easily and doesn’t leave even a bit of white cast, you don’t even need to rub it in to avoid white residue. It absorbs quickly into the skin. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy. Since this glides on easily and you don’t need to run it in, it’s ideal for re-applying throughout the day, even if you have makeup on. As long as you’re not wearing too much powder, I don’t think you’ll have any issues layering this on. Its super accessible! It was $10.99 CAD and you can find it at several drugstores. This is such a plus for me because being in Canada I usually need to order my other favourite sunscreens online and wait at least two weeks. The not so good: I really wish they had a fragrance free option. Not that it makes a big deal for me everyday, but if my skin is ever feeling sensitive, I know I will probably reach for a different sunscreen for that reason. I noticed that in one area of my face I had some very minor pilling. Not a big deal and it didn’t mess up my makeup, but I do just want to point it out in case this is really important to other people. Is it worth it? Yes. It’s super affordable and you get a pretty good big bottle compared to my other favourite k beauty sunscreens. Even if you don’t even up using this on your face. I think you’ll definitely be able to use this on your hands and body throughout the summer. Will I repurchase? I might hold out to see if they make a fragrance-free version before purchasing another. But even if they don’t I can see myself making this my go-to body sunscreen for the summer time. But if anyone has any other drugstore suggestions, I’d love to hear them! Ps my skin is combination and acne prone :)

Why are we not talking about this one more?!
Okay - this is one of the best drugstore SPF’s I’ve tried! This is targeted for any skin type and no specific concerns. This sunscreen has broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection and hyaluronic acid all in one. It has a thin water like liquid texture and rubs right in with little to no white cast. I originally purchased this to start being more diligent about applying spf on my hands. Come summer and beach time, I began using this on my face since it was constantly in my purse. This layers well under makeup with no pilling, and no irritation or breakouts! It has a pretty gentle formula as well. I absolutely love this product and will forever repurchase. I purchase this at Walmart and it’s under $10 making it sooo affordable! I can’t recommend this enough 💘 5/5 stars Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30

Best Affordable Sunscreen - Neutrogena
I’ve been on the hunt for a good sunscreen that I can use under makeup and wouldn’t make my oily or change colors. I have found that with the Neutrogena sunscreen. I got the 3-pack at BJs and it has lasted for about a year now. A little goes a long way because the product is a little thick. It hasn’t made me break out which is a plus. Sun damage? We don’t know her 🙆🏼♀️
Meet my absolutely favorite sunscreen! Paulas choice youth extending hydrating fluid SPF 50. This sunscreen is a super thin formula that contains antioxidants and broad spectrum sun protection to prevent sun damage and early signs of aging. It also contains glycerin making it hydrating and free of any fragrance! This has a thin water like texture that leaves a dewy finish on the skin and sinks right in! Because of the super thin texture, it is perfect to use under make up or on its own! I have been using this product for about six months now and a little goes a long way. With it’s super gentle formula, it does not give me any irritation or breakouts. I cannot recommend this enough! Paulas choice makes some of my favorite sunscreens and what I love is this one is great for all skin types. This retails for $33 however I always purchase from her site when they offer a discount code, which is pretty often! This SPF will forever be a staple in my routine ☺️ 5/5 stars 🤩 PAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid

Lightweight SPF for oily skin🌟
I don’t think I tagged the exact product in this post because I couldn’t find it, but this is the Ultra-Light Daily Moisturizing Fluid from Paula’s Choice with SPF and it’s one of my favorite SPF’s I have ever tried! I used to use the ones from Neutrogena until I was introduced to the wonders of our girl Paula & picked this up along with the PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator and it’s been a game-changer ever since! The texture is so light & for $23 I think it’s going to last me quite a while! I really only use a bit more than the amount pictured on my hand after I apply my regular moisturizer & it’s just a great finish for the day! I wouldn’t recommend to those with dry skin as this probably wouldn’t be enough moisture for your skin type, but for my combination, mostly oily & breakout prone skin it’s perfect! Super light & an extra bit of hydration for the day🌟

Neutrogena Sunscreen BAD INGREDIENTS
Neutrogena clear face sunscreen. This is a face sunscreen from neutrogena. It says it’s break out free SPF 55. It has a lot of bad ingredients that I don’t like. I don’t recommend it. It’s something you buy when you’re out of sunscreen and need something for the Beach really quick. If you’re buying the neutrogena sunscreen and are going to use it on the face buy this one. It’s not worth it cause it has bad ingredients. I bought this a few years ago at a drugstore. The consistency is good and smooth. 2 stars out of 5. Neutrogena - Clear Face Oil-Free Sunscreen SPF 55
