Start with making sure your face is prepped and clean and moisturized! I start with Simple - Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water
Then I use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
make sure your face is damp when applying so it’ll retain the moisture! This is important Then I seal it in with The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane
Make sure to wait 30 seconds to let these products seal in. Makeup: For foundation COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation
Now before I blend it in I spray my setting spray and let it dry a little before.. this will make it looked airbrushed!!! It’s important trust me. Then I use my REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge
For concealer I use the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer
I use the #Maybelline - Fit Me Loose Powder[products]# and this stuff is great especially if you’re taking pictures or using a ring light! I use a dark concealer for my contour e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer
And the wet n wild - Color Icon Bronzer Square
I love this stuff it blends so well!! Then I use MILANI - MILANI Baked Blush
in luminoso it’s the best For highlighter I use wet n wild - MegaGlo Highlighting Powder
in precious petals this applies so good I use the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara
After I spray my NYX - Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray
and use my beauty blender to make sure everything sets properly! For my lips I use NYX - Suede Matte Lip Liner
in Brown And NYX - Butter Gloss
in Praline Then layer a coat of NYX - Soft Matte Metallic Lip Cream
in Cairo Let me know any suggestions in the comments of your fave products! 🤎

1 week update
thanks to all lovely beauties out there to take their time and add a comment on my last post. I was devastated by breakout, i was having from last 2-3 weeks and nothing seems to be working. Well i guess too many exfoliants was making my skin too sensitive so now i am back to basics. I have started what i was doing in the beginning and that seems to be working just fine. I think i was selfish to have a great skin in no time 🥴. If someone is just curious what i am doing right now then lets go to products. AM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control it has tree oil which is good for acne prone skin The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ as i have sensitive and oily skin this makes my face matte and oil free. I really like this one for oily skin or combination skin PM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (only on spots and acne 2-3 times a week) The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA (once a week) The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (once a week) The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque (once a week) The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane tea tree oil only on spots Even if i have listed so many items i feel i have very basic skin care routine as most of the products are being used weekly or only 2-3 times a week. But in the end this routine is working out for me and i am seeing good progress which makes me happy. Again thanks to all who suggested me before ❤️❤️

Top 5 January Favorites
Hey ya’ll in today’s mini post we’re talking about my top 5 favorite products of January 2021! First up is the Curology - The Moisturizer which comes in a set with theCurology - The Cleanser for $10. If you don’t listen to my podcast (search ‘Beauty Talk’ wherever you listen) then you wouldn’t know that I’ve been trying Curology for the last month (review coming on Friday). The moisturizer has glycerin and Hylaronic acid which are super hydrating ingredients. I love the lightweight texture that still keeps me moisturized. Hands down never going back to cream moisturizer after this!! Next is theLA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios Dermo-Kids Lotion SPF50 that costs $20 for 6.76 fl oz. It’s a bit greasy, but it makes my skin soft and glowy while also keeping it healthy. Even during lockdown it’s really important to wear sunscreen every single day. Next up is theOSEA - Sea Vitamin Boost which costs $38 for 3.4 fl oz. I was gifted this product by Cherie after I won Cherie Pick, and it’s the only good mist I’ve found. It’s alcohol and fragrance free, has algae and seaweed extract for hydration, and pomegranate extract for brightening. I know I don’t talk a lot about makeup, but I have two makeup picks. First is theNYX - Butter Gloss which costs $5 for .27 fl oz. My good friend @t_l_t bought it for me, and it’s non sticky, and has an early 2000s shimmer effect. Finally is one of my holigrail products that continues to impress me, theL'ORÉAL - Voluminous Carbon Black Waterproof Mascara which costs $9 for .28 fl oz. This is THE MOST lengthening and clump free mascara I’ve ever used and I loveee ittt. That’s it for this post please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment your favorite product from this month, and follow me to join the family and for similar content. -Mae

How create this faded blush effect
Hi guys !!! Today I’m gonna share my secret for make this nice faded shade of blush. It’s a mix of blush, bronzer and contouring! First I use the wet n wild - Color Icon Bronzer Square to contour my cheek Then I like to use some orange blush like CATRICE COSMETICS - Catrice X Eman Cheeky Blush Palette and I give some glow with FENTY BEAUTY - Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush colour fuego. Use a lot of blush don’t be afraid It’s very marked só to create this faded effect I use a sponge and then I can control how much faded I want . ❤️ then I use some highlighter on the top 💕 hope you guys liked Xoxo 💋

Bronzer battle!
Bronzer shades! Hi guys! Today I’m gonna show two different shades of bronze that I like, one is warm shade and my favourite! Other one is deeper but not warm, and surprisingly the second one is less noticeable. I like warm skin colour specially for fall and summer, so I compared both shades in the picture. wet n wild - Color Icon Bronzer Square color 743b shady beaches This one is the warm colour, the powder spread fine but it’s not very smoothly , you have to pay attention when apply and carefully distribute in your face. Besides this, the color is amazing 😉 Beauty Treats - Desert Glow Bronzer It’s not that bad, however it’s deep colour so you must apply a little bit at the time, otherwise your face will look like dirty or having bruises lol... anyway, this one is a nice shade if you don’t like warm colours! It’s not very easy to spread as well so be careful! In the last pic I’m wearing a blush from milani (I did a review of this one in the last posts) and it’s nice how the peachy color of the blush looks nice above the bronzer! It’s kinda orange light and it gives the warm finish that I love!! I hope you guys liked and don’t forget to share this post with your friends :) thanks !

When hydration is needed 💦
I am a dry skinned girl so I am always on the look out for hydrators and moisturizers. This is especially the case as I like to use actives in my routine and they can further dry out my skin. Hyaluronic acid is one of my go to ingredients as it draws moisture into my skin and it works well with other ingredients. The ordinary offers this serum which is great as it is super affordable and it works well with my skin. What is it: This is a hyaluronic acid serum with 3 different weighted molecules so that it can penetrate and hydrate different layers if the skin. Hyaluronic acids is a humectant meaning it absorbs moisture from the air and draws it into the skin. This serum also has b5 which helps nourish and soften the skin. Texture: This is a goopy and cloudy serum that is easily absorbed into my dry skin. Price: This sells at Sephora for $6.80 cad for 1 oz or $12.20 cad for 2oz How I use this: I use this along with my steamer to make sure that the air is moisture rich in order to draw moisture to my skin. This ensures I get the best result. Pros 👍: affordable 2 sizes available accessible effective cruelty free 🐰 Cons 👎: some people don’t like the texture you shouldn’t over use hyaluronic acid (check other products) The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 this is a super simple serum that has really helped my dry skin

Blush love is in the air 💕 Peachy/pink blushes
I have a yellowish skin tone so I tend to lean toward peachy/bronze colors. But, as you get older it helps you look a little more alive if you have a bit of pink in your cheeks. Pinky Peach or Rose Gold blushes have become my go-to! I also don’t like shimmer in my blush for daily wear, but that’s hard to find. Listed in order of my favorite to my least favorite 1. NYX - High Definition Blush in Rose Gold This one is a great pink with a hint coral. The only negative is it’s shimmery. 2. BURT’S BEES - Blush with Vitamin E in Toasted Cinnamon Almost no pink, almost all peach. Zero shimmer!! This is the one I wear most often for everyday/work makeup. 3. NARS - NARS Blush in Orgasm Bright pink with a peachy/golden shimmer. I think this one gives the best face brightening effect. 4. tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Sweet This is super old and I really should toss it but I can’t!!! It’s a nice bright pink and shows up really well on my skin even with a tan. Shimmer. 5. bareMinerals - Gen Nude Powder Blush in Call my Blush This one is a really neutral pink with zero shimmer. Applies sheerest of the bunch but very buildable. 6. essence - Satin Touch Blush in Bespoke Warm gold peachy color. No shimmer. 7. MILANI - MILANI Baked Blush in Luminoso More of a true light peach shimmer. Works as a highlighter as well. What is your favorite blush for everyday wear? Do you have a favorite rose gold or peachy-pink blush? Are you a shimmer person?

BEST TINTED MINERAL SPF (The Unicorn)
I’ve been on the hunt for a mineral spf, sheer to light coverage tinted moisturizer/ cc cream/ bb cream- some kind of skincare-makeup hybrid. And in that order- I want lots of good stuff for my skin, lots of mineral SPF and just enough coverage to even out my skin tone. I repeat- Lots of SPF, mineral only. Oh yeah- it also has to match my light-medium skintone and cool undertone. Basically I’m searching for a Unicorn. I hate when a product is offered in lots of shades. For you maybe there is a better chance of finding one that matches perfectly- for me each shade is a chance to make the wrong choice. Im sure it doesn’t work for darker skin tones but since it works for me I like that universal shade of tint. No choices, just “tinted”. All 3 products below are just “tinted”. Here it goes.... elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 EltaMD Tinted UV Clear: My current Go-To. Yes- it is as great as everyone says it is. And yes- It is jam packed with lots of good stuff for your skin. It’s the epitome of “Skincare/ Makeup Hybrid”. In fact it is so hydrating that i have to cut out my moisturizer and primer if I want to use it. If that “dewy” look or the “glass skin” look is what you’re going for than this stuff is for you, my friend. I think this product is probably only going to suit me better and better as winter rolls in. I have to strive for matte to achieve a natural glow so if I want to tone down the shine after I apply the EltaMD I brush on a mineral SPF powder DERMA•E - Sun Protection Mineral Face Powder SPF 30 and top it off with a matte setting spray. NYX - Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40 Close to perfect- a little goes a long way. It glides on beautifully, looks beautiful, feels beautiful. A mineral spf is a literal physical barrier between your skin and UV light. This means that they don’t fully absorb into the skin because their job is primarily on top of the skin. That being said- it doesn’t feel like it’s spread over your face like frosting on a cake. Its comfortable and light and it feels like it has absorbed. This one definitely leaves a matte finish. I wouldn’t recommend a powder over top. If you have to- Go with a setting spray. PAULA'S CHOICE - Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 Alright Im just gona say it- Paula’s Choice is a terrible name. (PAULA’S CHOICE- IF YOURE LISTENING-Change it immediately bc it’s holding you back) Paula is the name of your least favorite Aunt. She’s a super boring, annoyingly responsible yet reliable old maid.* It just sounds like an old lady company and nobody equates that with Clean, cruelty-free beauty. Just awful synthetic fragrances and “cold cream”. The truth is that this is a great product from a clean, science based brand. Light- med coverage. For sheer-light coverage I mixed w/ clear primer. e.l.f. - Matte Oil-Control Primer *IF YOU’RE NAME IS PAULA & THIS OFFENDED YOU I APOLOGIZE. YOU’RE AWESOME! IT ONLY APPLIES TO SKINCARE COMPANIES NAMED PAULA.

It’s worth the hype- New holy grail
For months I’ve been seeing rave reviews and makeup videos featuring the COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Tinted Moisturizer . Two weeks ago, I finally caved and purchased it. I have been on the hunt for a light foundation that leaves a “your skin but better” finish, and this is IT! It covers my redness while leaving my skin with a natural looking finish. It’s a gorgeous dewy finish, but alone doesn’t have a very long wear time. I set with the FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Setting Powder for a longer wearing base. With the powder I get around 8 hours of wear, with minimal transfer onto my mask. I do notice that it does tend to wear off onto my glasses, but its not something I’m overly concerned about. I’ve noticed in reviews that it wears differently on different skin types, so if you’re not sure if this will work for you I say its definitely worth a try! It really could be the holy grail product you’re looking for. This will definitely remain a staple in my makeup drawer.

RATING: BEAUTY SPONGES 😯 #CheriePartner
Hello my loves! You guys seem to love these ratings & I love a good deal when I can find it. So here is my ratings of a few beauty sponges — beautyblender - Classic Makeup Sponge Pink - this was the innovator of beauty sponges in the makeup community but $20? i could NEVER wrap my head around that but it was the best one for awhile. i didn't really love it & felt it'd dry too quickly so it wasn't really for me. i'm so glad we've moved forward & now drugstore brands are releasing great products! beautyblender - Pro - same energy here. this was what i stuck with for awhile, i do think there's a difference between the two sponges but with this i couldn't tell how dirty it was and i just couldn't trust it! MORPHE - Flawless Beauty Sponge - WAY TOO TOUGH! i haven't used it in awhile i hope they reproduced these because it barely grew & just soaked up all my product. glad i got rid of it! e.l.f. - Total Face Sponge - this was my go-to for the past few months! i really like the flat edge for applying my base. it was great! e.l.f has seriously stepped up their game with sponges. REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge - BOOOOO! sorry i am just not a fan. i was never about this sponge. i've tried it so many times and it's just dry & awkward to use. it's not for me whatsoever. #e.l.f. - Complexion Sponge Trio[products]#[FiveStars] - 🗣check out my first impression on this set. the actually set is the "complexion sponge trio" in purple! i love love love it. i just started but i want to continue with it. super soft & i love that it has three RELIABLE sizes. #L'oréal - Blend Artist Foundation Blender[products]#[FiveStars] - another great one! super soft & has great shape. used this for awhile, only issue is it does tear after a little while. As always, sending love. Thanks for reading. ❤️ #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

Feelin’ Blue ❄️
...during this winter Hey Cherie Fam 🍒 I played with one of my favorite palettes of all time which is the MORPHE - Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow PaletteI have literally made so many looks with this palette and after all this time I still reach for it often. I wanted to do an icy winter blue look so I played with the jada and pool side. The jada shade, which is the teal shade is soooo pigmented! It wasn’t chalky at all and applied evenly. For this look, I used: •creamsicle and butter with a fluffy brush as a transition shade •hunts on the crease just below the transition shade •I cut my crease with P.Louise eyeshadow base in shade rumour 2 •I applied jada all over the lid then topped it with poolside •I used creamsicle and butter on the lower lash then applied hunts on the outer lower lash. I applied jada close to the lash line •I used NYX retractable liner in white to brighten up the eyes •enlight on the inner corner and brow bone •mascara then falsies. I used HOL in Temptress Wispy Maybe one day I’ll be brave enough to do a full blown eyeshadow look 💙 Xoxo, Francesca 💋

Micellar Water!
Simple is my all time favorite brand for Micellar Water. I’ve tried so many different ones that are good, but I always go back to simple. I recently purchased this Simple - Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water and I love it even more than the original formula! I typically use micellar water after I cleanse in the shower because the hot water sometimes irritates my face. This formula is specifically for dry, dehydrated or sensitive skin. Like most micellar waters it gently cleanses and removes impurities and make-up from your face, but it also soothes and instantly re-hydrates thirsty skin. I have found that if I’m having a rosacea flare up, this really helps to calm the redness and soothe the inflammation. Simple is one of my top, and most highly recommended drug store brands. For less than $10 you can’t beat this. I 100% recommend this product, and all other simple products I’ve tried!

Gentle Micellar Eye Makeup Remover
Simple is such an affordable drugstore brand that makes high quality products without any questionable ingredients. This micellar water is amazing as a first cleanser to get any makeup off. It’s very gentle as it has a very short ingredients list and no fragrance. I prefer to thoroughly soak a cotton pad with this and hold it over my eye for 20 seconds. When I pull the cotton pad off, all my mascara and eyeshadow comes off with it. This micellar water is very runny and thin and does a great job taking the day off gently! The 13.5 fl oz bottle also lasts for ages. I will be repurchasing another one when this bottle is all gone!

Makeup holy grails + trying out new makeup!
Makeup holy grails + trying out new makeup!
Hi! Just wanted to share some of my go to makeup faves! The 2nd photo is me after a 4hr shopping trip wearing all these products! So I’ll start off with the foundation- which is The Ordinary - Colour. Serum Foundation - I have oily/combo skin & wanted something with a bit lighter coverage. It’s super affordable (I think it was $12.70 AUD) & has a dewy finish. The shade range is quite disappointing, & the difference between one shade to the next is quite drastic. If you’re in Aus, you can purchase this from Myer. I picked up the shade 2.1Y which is described as Medium with yellow undertones. This foundation does oxidise only very slightly (which I wouldn’t view as negative) and for the price point, does exactly what I’d want it to do. It’s very light and super watery- which is perfect for a more natural, dewy look. I don’t have fine lines but I get a, you could say, smile line, in my upper lip area, which it does settle into. Next we have the tarte - Shape Tape Concealer , which is a lovely concealer, however, I think there are drugstore alternatives, such as the MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer that can give good coverage without looking heavy. In the 2nd photo I do have the tarte concealer on just to highlight my under eyes and the high points of my face (the foundation is a little dark for me). I wear the shade 34S Medium sand, which is my perfect highlighting shade. I would recommend this, but if you’re on a budget, there’s heaps of drugstore alternatives that do just as well, if not better. The Morphe M173 Mini Buffer brush is what I use to buff out the concealer. I got mine from Mecca for only $8! (AUD). Morphe brushes are great investments, I don’t see the need to splurge for extremely expensive brushes if these do the job just fine! My go to blush & bronzer are tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in the shade ‘paaarty’ and the Too Faced - Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer The tarte blush is super natural and actually stays on for a long time. I have a mini version that I got part of a set here (their tarte sets on Sephora are really worth looking into in my opinion) and as you can see, I’ve hit pan! It is also what I’m wearing in the 2nd photo :) The bronzer is super nice & natural. I got the Chocolate Soleil one instead of the dark chocolate one as it lets me apply it without having to be extremely precise, & just adds a little bit of colour. This is also the travel size that I got from Mecca for $24 but looking back at it, it’s only 2.55g, so probs wasn’t worth the money. From using the Rimmel natural bronzer in my younger years to now this, there isn’t that big of a difference in application (if anything, the Rimmel one was warmer, which I prefer). Lastly, the Nyx liquid suede in the shade ‘Soft-spoken’ is my go to. It’s super thin, a gorg mauvey nude, perf for brown skin :) please see comment section!!!

I prefer dewy looks over matte and here are my favorite products to achieve that look!! 🌸Wet N Wild ($3): Dewy Lumineux -This was SO cheap so I was extremely skeptical of it but it gives your face a beautiful glow that makes your foundation blend so smoothly! 🌸The Ordinary ($6): Coverage Foundation -This foundation is lightweight but buildable! 🌸The Ordinary (Hylamide) ($8): HA Blur -This literally cancels your pores and blurs them out flawlessly! Best product ever!! 🌸 NYX ($4): Jumbo Eye Pencil -I love putting white in my waterline because it really makes your eyes POP and look bigger 🌸🌸🌸This is the order I use all of these products and I blend everything with a damp beauty blender!! Any questions just ask!(:🌸🌸🌸

I am in love with this mascara duo I picked up at the drugstore 😍 essence - Volume Booster Lash Primer CVS: $4.99 priming my lashes is usually a frustratingly long experience , but since all I have is time I figured I would try this out and I’m so impressed! It’s not sticky - it’s made with açaí and mango butter & helps lift my lashes without leaving them sticky. I followed up with essence - Lash Princess False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara CVS: $4.99 and I only used two coats of this. I am loving the volume and dramatic effects and when it came time to take these off, I didn’t find myself scrubbing for days. Because I’ve been home (and will be home) for the foreseeable future - I haven’t wear tested these just yet, but I’m definitely going to keep using and repurchasing these!!

The Ordinary Hylamide Foundation (NOT for Me)
The Ordinary Hylamide Foundation (NOT for Me)
The Ordinary Hylamide Photography Foundation claims to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and the golden glow is to give that radiant healthy-looking look! These 3 shades of Hylamide Photography Foundation in Transparent, Golden Tan & Dark Tan are designed to make the skin look better for the camera lens while blurring away imperfections in real life. Can be used alone, under makeup, or mixed with foundation I personally feel these are quiet a hit and miss as I would not wear these on its own - i need more coverage and because it also looks pretty ashy by itself. However, I do mix a small amount of these with my foundation for some glow or just use the transparent one as a primer and it looks okay. I quiet don’t understand this product and have tried so many different ways to make it work (used it as primers, mixed with my foundation and wore it on its own). . My Take: The brand is known for its products being wallet-friendly with effective formulas. I love #deciem products but not super impressed by these. I would consider these more like a primer than a foundation. Let me know your thoughts about it. .The Ordinary - Hylamide Photography Foundation
