Help!!!!! Problems with Cerave SA Cleanser
Hii! I’ve been using the CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinfor about a month now. I use it every other day at night before I go to bed. I’ve been realizing this cleanser gives me under the skin pimples, but has made my skin more even and has minimized my pores greatly. It has also got rid of most of the texture of small colorless bumps on my forehead and chin. I already had/have acne so I figured this was just the purging period, but I’ve been using this product for a month and want to stop waking up with a new pimple every time I use it ): The pimples that appear are usually in the same spots, and sometimes even an old pimple will resurface. Please help explain to me why this is happening and if I should discontinue use! *** The rest of my routine includes: CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin every morning and nights i dont use the sa cleaner CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotionmorning and night ——————- I cannot use many fragrances or chemicals as it damages my skin more than anything, thats why my skincare routine is so short and limited.

My cleansers So for me, I have four cleansers. The Laroche Posay 3 step acne kit cleanser with 2% salicylic acids and .05% micro-exfoliating LHA, which works well for acne and acne scars, the CeraVe Hydrating cleanser with hyaluronic acid, the Trader Joe’s face wash with tea tree oil, and the Clinique liquid facial soap.I have collected these over about three years, so no need to get 4 cleansers at the store right away. When do I use them? For my “cleansing” schedule, I definitely don’t use all of them at once. I use them depending on my skin’s needs. I have combo skin, so sometimes my skin is somewhat oily around my t-zone, and sometimes my whole face is dry. Sometimes when I have been picking at my acne, I like to use the Laroche Posay cleanser, because it helps with acne scabs/scars and acne. Or when my face just has a lot of acne, but I haven’t picked in a little while, I use the Trader Joe’s cleanser because tea tree oil helps with acne. When my face is dry I would use the hydrating cleanser, and when my skin is normal and I just want to get the dirt out, I would use the Clinique one, because it’s gentle and just gets all the dirt out. 4 weeks on Tretinoin and Aczone Update
My dermatologist put me on this routine .... AM: Neutrogena - Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask it dries out some of my acne bumps which helps them go away a little faster CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 it leaves my face mosturized but leaves a white cast. However it has niacinamide and hyaluronic acid in it that helps acne prone skin elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 also leaves a white haze even in clear . I have to apply directly to my face if I put on fingers first seems like it's more of a white cast PM: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I like it's very gentle but feels like lotion CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion love love love it keeps skin oily enough and is lightweight I also use a prescribed tretonoin in the PM and prescribed Aczone in the morning . I have transitioned to doing it everyday at first it was every other day . Posting here to manage results
Before corona, and starting birth control my skin was clear. Now it is freaking out and I don’t know what to do :( The products I’m currently using are VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser morning and night CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 morning CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion tThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution (2x a week) Please help !
I did this for a week and saw a huge change
I legit just drank 4L or 1 gallon of water a day roughly, drank a cup of water before I had coffee and just drank more water because I went from drinking like maybe 1/2L-1L a day to 4 and it made a huge difference!!!! While drinking water I’ve been using in the morning Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser I’ll be trying a new morning cleanser soon because I don’t overly enjoy this one and feel it’s kind of stripping for my skin The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I absolutely love this serum and feel like it really helps my breakouts and oil production Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 I’ve only been using this a few weeks and I like how it works to keep me less oily and gives me my needed spf but having combo skin I get really dry by my nose and this didn’t help that so i might try another At night I’ve been using GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover i use this makeup remover with a cotton pad gets off my water prod mascara and everything in a couple swipes and gives my face a nice gentle cleanser before using SA cleanser (I’ll get some re useable ones so that it’s more sustainable) CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin I love this I find you have to build yourself up to it if you have more sensitive skin because I most certainly did and I love it, it’s living up to its promises, this cleanser shrinks my pores and removed all the little bumps and rough patches from my face. Keep in mind this can cause irritation I know it did after coming out of a pool all day for me so just be careful with it The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I use this twice a day because I just love it it that much The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Absolutely love this serum and ran out but I’m debating on if I want to find a nighttime moisturizer with this ingredient instead? CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I’m not a fan of this at all on my face I’m just using it till I run out but I absolutely love it as a body lotion right after a shower I’m open to product suggestions or things to add to my routine to continue my skin care journey and make it successful!!
Skincare Journey.... help please!!!
Hey! So I am in desperate need of help please help a lost girl out! Is this fungal acne, is this hormonal acne, is this normal??? I’ve literally been having breakouts since I was 10 and I’m 29 About 2 months ago I really wanted to step my game up and work on clearing my skin and just feeling better in my own skin, I’m not big with any makeup so my goal is to have a more natural glow and smooth bright skin.. 😂🤦🏼♀️ ik thats everyone goal Anyway I need help! Maybe I introduce too much at once or is this my skin purging .. 48 hrs ago I decided to stop using everything and just use my boy friends dandruff shampoo once a day at night and nothing in the morning. My AM Routine CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin FOREO - LUNA fofo bliss - Glow & Hydrate Day Serum TRADER JOE'S - Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer with Aloe & Green Tea Extracts My PM Routine CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin bliss - Renew & Smooth Night Serum CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion My sometimes product used mostly at night DICKINSON'S - Witch Hazel Liquid (Only used sometimes mid day if I felt super oily, or at night during a bad breakout) HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell (Used this for hard stubborn painful pimples)
Is it okay to use this cleanser every day?
I’m starting out a new skincare regiment after destroying my face with Adapalene gel for 6 months. My question is is it okay to use a benzoyl peroxide (4%) face wash every day? I’ve heard you’re not supposed to use a 10% every day because it can dry out your skin but I have fairly oily skin and need it dried just enough so I don’t look like an oil monster aha. I’ve been using Cerave’s CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skinfor right now but it’s just not getting rid of my acne. I’ve noticed my skin looks brighter and healthier while I’m using it, but I still have pretty bad acne. Salicylic Acid doesn’t work on my face in terms of getting rid of acne, unfortunately or I would be using that cleanser instead! Thanks! (This is my first post so any advice is very welcomed! I’ll try to update once I get the hang of this! 😊)

opinions on CeraVe ??
So as soon as i started using CeraVe i noticed that a few days after using it i had gotten a few pimples. my best friend's mom said that her brother used to use CeraVe bc he had badddd acne and it'll do that bc it's taking out all of the impurities first. is this true? i really love how moisturizing it is for my dry skin but i also don't want to make my skin worse. i might think that it might've been just my skin adjusting to the new face wash bc i am changing from Biore to CeraVe. so lmk you're honest, down to earth opinions on this product !! :)

Cerave - YES or NO?
Hey babes!! 👋🏼 Everyone loves using Cerave and says it’s so great, but do you know why? It’s a fan favorite, but you’ll see many Estheticians feel differently. Let’s dive in to learn more about brand/product. 👀 INGREDIENTS: Purified Water, Glycerin, Behentrimonium Methosulfate and Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceramide 3, Ceramide 6-11, Ceramide 1, Hyaluronic Acid, Cholesterol, Polyoxyl 40 Stearate, Glyceryl Monostearate, Stearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Phosphate, Dipotassium Phosphate, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Cetyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Phytosphingosine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum. Glycerin - used in many skin care products as a humectant to bring moisture to the skin and also used an occlusive product in moisturizer to trap in hydration from escaping. Cetearyl Alcohol - despite having the name alcohol, it’s a fatty Alcohol which is good for the skin by softening it and it also thickens products. Ceramide 1,3, 6-11 - Ceramides are great for dry skin! They are lipids (fat) that help strengthen the skins barrier and protect from the environment. Hyaluronic Acid - another humectant that draws moisture to the skin 1000x better than water. CONCLUSION: Cerave has many good ingredients for basic skin care needs if you’re on a budget or need to repair your barrier. This is why many dermatologists recommended this product. It’s very basic. Most of their ingredients are functional and not performance based. This means that it’ll do the job of cleaning your skin, but won’t clear your acne or brighten your skin without any actives like salicylic or lactic acid. If you’re tight on a budget and just need a cleanser, this is better than others out there. I like to say that cerave is like washing your hands with just water and no soap. They will get clean, but you get better results with soap added. Xoxo, Blyssey #cheriecreator #skincare #cerave CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser
