Skin Care Products I use Regularly
Can you please tell me which product I should stop using and recommend which new products I should try? I have very oily skin but my skin tends to get irritated and dehydrated after I cleanse it. All the products I’ve been using help me with my acne and blackhead problems and my new goal is to minimize my pores and to have healthy clear skin. Thank you!

My Glowy Winter PM Routine
After a full day of running around fulfilling the needs of my 8mos old (the adorable, pudgy little tyrant she is), my evening skincare routine is a welcome excuse to unwind, and wash off the grime of the day. It not only feels great, but it leaves me nice and glowy. I have sensitive, combination skin, and tend to get drier during the winter time. I like to layer up more during this season on skincare, so here’s my current PM winter routine! I’m not really a makeup wearer, except for filling in my brows and wearing sunscreen. That being said I always begin my PM routine with a double cleanse. I always go back to my tried-and-true oil cleanser, - Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil 200ml I love how gentle, effective, and affordable this product is and will always recommend it. Next I go in with Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser . This cleanser is so gentle, hydrating, and never leaves my skin feeling dry or irritated. It does the job so well, with good-for-your-skin, barrier respecting ingredients, and it basically just smells like freshly brewed Matcha. For the quality it’s very affordable, and if you have sensitive skin, this might be a good cleanser for you! For toner, I’ve been using TONYMOLY - Wonder Ceramide Mocchi Toner I picked it up about 5 months ago; my skin was just irritated postpartum, and I was looking for an affordable, all-purpose toner. For 23 USD, you get 17oz of product, and I am just now finishing up the bottle. This is very much a no-frills, hydrating, gentle, cost-effective toner and has done a very good job of calming my irritated skin over the past months. About 3 times a week, I pump a few drops of COSRX - 2 in 1 Poreless Power Liquid onto a cotton pad and swipe it over my problem areas (my t-zone), then tap it in. I’ve been using it for about 2.5 months now, and definitely notice a difference in my pore size! My t-zone looks smoother, and my pore-size has been greatly reduced. I’ve also noticed less breakouts. I feel like I will probably repurchase in the future. I then follow up with a dropper of MISSHA - Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Probio Ampoule , mixing in one pump of GLOW RECIPE - Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum . This combo is so hydrating and leaves me super glowy. Apply GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream I love the glow this moisture cream gives, and the way it reduces any irritation or redness. I finish up with GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask It doesn’t do much for my dark circles since mine are hereditary, but I love how hydrated my under eye area feels with this cream, and a little goes such a long way. What are your current winter routine faves?

Update with the Process...
I'm going to be totally honest😔 I know it has only been a month with Apostrophe (and other recommended products by their derm) but so far I am not liking the outcomes. The first week I started off by putting the prescription on 3 nights a week. My face definitely got irritated the first night which led to my decision on limiting the usage. I started to use the prescription everyday by the 3rd week. Since then I have not felt like I've had any improvements on my acne. I am not giving up just yet, but I do hope to see some improvement at least by March. 🤞 🌼Apostrophe - Topical Formula 🌼CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion 🌼CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin 🌼CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser 🌼Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer

Hi Skin Beauties, So this is me today with zero makeup on with the natural outside lighting! I was struggling with hyperpigmentation for the last year so I wanted to share this picture to let you know it is possible to diminish the intensity of the dark spots with consistency and the right products! Facials as well as additional treatments always accelerate the process but products are important. Products make progress ! I still have a slight discoloration to my skin but patience is key with this type of skin issue so you have to trust the process. My two favorite products i use that help make my skin even toned are skinceuticals CE Ferulic Acid and skinceuticals Retinol 1.0(I use this product sparingly once every week or once every two weeks it is so strong yet so effective). The only product I have on my face in this picture is the hydroboost gel moisturizer by neutrogena. I am really not a fan of gel moisturizers but this one effectively penetrates the skin barrier leaving my skin feeling hydrated and soft, it fully absorbs into the skin leaving no residue behind. I also like this product due to its lack of fragrance and oil. I wear SPF 50 everyday by skinceuticals as well. I enjoy the slight tint it brings to my skin. Remember don’t give up on your skin goals and stay consistent!! 🦋🦋

My current products that I’m trying out. My least favorite is the ordinary hyaluronic acid serum, it’s sticky and I’m pretty sure it likes to rub off my skin. Not sure what the issue is with it. Also the creams like to rub off my skin as well. Any tips for this issue, is the product to heavy for me? Non of these leave me waking up with a glow or refreshed feeling, but I think they are helping my skin but I do wish I had a mask or something that I can use and wake up with some moisture.
Niacinamide serum ✨
This is one of the best serums out there. I would honestly suggest for all skin types especially oily! Takes some times for changes but worth it. Absorbs quickly and feels good on face🤎 What it does: minimizes pores 🌟 controls oil on face💧 brightens ☀️ You can purchase it at Ulta and Sephora! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
✨ it is everyday actually specially when I do my am routine — means I’m ready for today’s shenanigans and pm routine feels like I’ve completed and survived the whole day and it’s my reward! . 🍃 📸 Fast facts on featured products: sageandtera Clay Mask — Icky Green Goo Detoxifying Mask made from Fresh french green clay volcanic ash peppermint - it purifies & degongests skin, it lifts pore clogging dirt & impurites, it also absorbs excess oil. My 7 Skin Method Products:
**If your not sure what the 7-skin method is refer to my Korean 7-Skin Method post** BIODERMA - SensibioTonique pixi - Glow Tonic I just started using these but so far so good!! Bioderma is amazing my skin loves it...and this tonic can be used by sensitive types it is super gentle, lightweight and absorbs easily!! It contains water + Glycerin (a humectant) so you are definitely getting hydration from this product. I’m sure this product is going to stick around for a while!! The Pixi toner has 5%glycolic acid...I know it may seem harsh but it’s pretty gentle on my oily dehydrated skin. But it can be irritable to sensitive skin types so I don’t recommend to sensitive skin types. By the way I don’t always use the exfoliating toner in my 7-Skin Method I only use it 2-3 time a week! As it is recommended with any exfoliating at max. My 7-skin method for the most part is comprised of 4 layers of hydration and 1-2 layer of exfoliant 2-3 times a week! When I don’t exfoliate I will layer Bioderma 4-7 times. Remember Hydrated skin is Healthy and Happy Skin!
Hydrating Morning Routine
1) Essence Toner — It preps my skin for the rest of the routine. Not necessary but I can always tell when I don’t use it. Skin feels hydrated immediately after use. 2) Hydrating Toner - It adds hydration to my skin so I can seal it in with moisturizer later. Great trick for dry skin! It doesn’t have any fragrance and it’s very absorbing. 3) Vitamin C serum - Helps brighten up skin and Possibly help sunscreen work better** . Lovely spread and absorbs moderately fast into skin. 4) Moisturizing combo mix of All the Feels Oil mixed with Moisturizing Milk - I like to make concoctions like this one for a leveled up moisturizer. Both are fragrance free and moisturize my skin perfectly. The Muji milk has a very slightly sticky feel, but I don’t mind it. Works great under skin. 5) Protect your skin with @cerave Tinted Sunscreen SPF 30 - I prefer mineral sunscreens and I’m in love with this one atm- no white cast for my skin tone. Full review of this product coming up.
First Post | My Skincare Journey ✨
Hi everyone!! Since this is my first post here is a little bit about me - I am 21, from Sydney Australia, and have always loved everything makeup, beauty and skincare 💫 I want to share the highs and lows of my problematic skin along with my ride-or-die and fail products! My Skincare Journey I have recently started taking medication for my acne (pictured) as a last resort after trying what feels like every product under the sun and moon! I have also decided to clear my cupboards, go back to the basics and slowly introduce products one by one to create the perfect skincare regime. Back to the Basics... Hydration We all know that acne medication causes dry skin and on top of that it’s winter. I find there’s nothing worse than dry acne because it makes it impossible to cover with makeup! My saviours during these cooler months have been: The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use this in the morning before SPF and moisturiser. It hasn’t caused breakouts and dries tacky so it’s perfect as a base under makeup! Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream I apply a thick layer at night time and a thin layer in the morning. This cream literally feels like a shield over my skin and is non-comedogenic so doesn’t clog pores! Kiehl's - Buttermask Intense Repair Lip Treatment You can’t forget about the lips! I won’t leave the house without it.

Skincare treatments for oily skin
These are the treatments I currently use to treat my oily (congested) acne-prone skin. My current cleansers are not featured in this picture nor listed, although I am rotating between Ceravé’s SA cleanser and their gentle foaming cleanser (can you tell i’m a huge fan of Ceravé?) CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I rated this highly as a little goes a long way for my oily skin type. It is listed for normal to dry skintypes although I found this product to moisturize perfectly for me without creating a heavy feeling throughout the day. It is also formulated with hyaluronic acid (a great humectant) as well as non irritating cerimides. To top it all off it contains no fragrance which is very important as I have sensitive skin 🥰. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I love this toner as an occasional (3x/week or so) exfoliant. Its gentle yet makes your skin feel extra clean when used after a cleanser with an AHA or BHA which is great for those with clogged pores. A great product to use on those exfoliation nights. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% My absolute favourite product. I have emptied and re-ordered this bottle many times (not to say a little doesn’t go a long way with this serum). This formulation is absolutely amazing for several skin concerns but it’s main target(s) is reducing oil production and calming irritation in the skin which I have both seen in just one use.
CeraVe-Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin
☺️ although these products aren’t minis, they are still super cute and perfect for travelling! 🛫 I’ve been wanting to try their products since I first heard about🤩 if you’re not aware of who they are, they basically formulate simple, clean, cruelty-free, vegan, products. No fussy packaging and crazy markups — all of their products are super affordable! . 🌱 Dew Point is a simple gel-cream moisturizer that is surprisingly very hydrating! It’s like the perfect gel-cream texture. I’ve never tried anything like it! In fact, I was initially skeptical about it but I truly love and enjoy it now. It’s lightweight, non-greasy and never leaves a sticky residue like other gel-creams do. I think it’s perfect for those with dry/combo skin, but those with oily skin may also enjoy it as it is very lightweight and refreshing. 🌱 Found The Light is vitamin C in a powder form. This product is quite interesting and very unique. You guys know I’m super prone to PIH and acne scars so I’m a huge sucker for anything vitamin C. This stuff mixes SO WELL with anything and never clumps up. I love mixing it with Dew Point — it slightly thickens it up and provides a matte finish. People with oily skin might actually really enjoy this. I think it’s also important to note that I‘ve never experienced any tingling or irritations. In terms of significant changes in my skin, I haven’t used it enough to really notice a difference but I will certainly keep you guys updated. .

Which toner would be more milder?
Sisley floral toning lotion is for dry and sensitive skin. I'm dry sensitive skin type, so this one is very effective to my skin. I have a suggestion here…If you are sensitive skin type, the first thing to choose toning lotion is from the ingredients，whether its ingredients are mild, and then consider other elements. This pink toning lotion is the only toner in Sisley's family that can be used around the eyes. That means the ingredients are milder and safer. But its effect only stays in the basic moisturizing, so it is particularly effective for dry skin. After two weeks of use, the problem of dry skin will be greatly relieved. But because it's basic, don’t have too much hope on it. sisley - FLORAL TONING LOTION The kiehl’s calendula herbal-extract toner can Regulate the oil secretion of skin. For acne skin, oil control is a very important thing. I usually use this as a mask to apply on my face. I put it on the cotton pad and put it on the place where it is prone to acne once a week. Kiehl's - Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Toner If you want to keep your skin condition stable and make your skin more hydrating, you can consider both Koehl’s and Sisley. But if you still have acne problem, you can try Kiehl's, but some people don't like the taste of this one. Do the preparation for the strange flavor！ Lol!

New to skincare and looking for suggestions
Hi all. I'm relatively new to this whole properly taking care of my skin thing. I have combination skin, uneven skin tone, large pores and redness/discolouration. I've recently incorporated these products: Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Creami think i'm going to switch this out to the regular skin, as i'm finding it really makes my face oily. I do, however, need the moisturizer mostly around/on my nose. Or for when my pimples dry out. C&C by Clean & Clear - Persa-Gel 10, Maximum Strengthuse this mostly as a spot treatment. It dries my skin out a little bit, but i find it really helps flatten my pimples pretty quickly. I've only been using this product for a few days. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%literally just started using this today. As you can tell, i have MASSIVE pores. I have for as long as i can remember. Lately, it's really bothering me that my makeup sinks into my pores. I got a new pore primer today though and, so far, I'm impressed! Neutrogena - Pore Refining Cleanseronly been using this one for a few days. So far i'm pretty happy with it! Feels great on my skin and the scrub has been helping remove dry skin. I have also started using a salicylic acid acne treatment, for Clean & Clear. It's supposed to help remove blackheads. I have always been very nervous to use toners as I had bad luck with the Pro Activ system as a teen. This dries my skin out a bit, but i do find it helps reduce the oiliness throughout the day, especially at work when I have a full face of makeup on. I'm trying to give my skin as much of a break as possible when I'm not at work. I wake up really oily no matter what, but I'm wondering if this is just a regular thing for people? I hate it lmao I'm extremely self concious about my skin. I hate it and I have since i first got acne at age 10. It was so bad, I'm pretty sure my pores are also so big because they're probably partially acne scars. Any suggestions would be great!! I find my skin is a little sensitive, but i'm quickly getting used to the burning of the toner lol Thanks in advance :)

Favorite Drug Store Brand- ELF!
Elf Cosmetics is my go-to drugstore brand. This Hello Hydration moisturizer easily rivals Drunk Elephant’s Protini. Is so moisturizing and lush. This was my only moisturizer before accepting PR from other brands. It did not cause any breakouts and worked well with my combination, acne prone skin. Writing this review makes me want to purchase this again. I highly recommend it.
