Wavy hair products
Ok so I recently started using a new shampoo and conditioner. I try to stay within the Shea Moisture brand and sometimes I’ll venture out into Cantu or something similar. I’ve had this shampoo and conditioner set for about 3 weeks now and holy crap! It’s like I have a new head of hair. I used to always use products that contained some sort of coconut product whether it be Cantu products or others and since I’ve moved away from that I’ve seen a HUGE difference. I’ve seen posts from a lot of other girls saying coconut in their hair products has really dampened their curl texture and I thought maybe I had the same problem and honestly, I think I was right! The more I moved away from coconut, the curlier my hair has gotten. Anyway, on to the products! The Shea Moisture Power Greens is a great combo. It’s got essential nutrients and moisturizes my hair extremely well. My only problem is, the shampoo is VERY watery. I guess the plus side to that is it makes me control how much shampoo I’m putting into my hand so, I’m not too mad about it. The conditioner though is perfect! Both have a very light scent, I don’t think it’s super over bearing at all but then again I’ve been using super strong scented coconut products so I may just not be able to smell it all that well (haha) The Shea Moisture Hair Milk is one of the best leave in conditioners I’ve ever used. It doesn’t leave my hair super greasy and weighed down and having wavy hair, that’s important to avoid! And last but not least, As I Am Curling Jelly. I love love LOVE this hair gel. It’s very liquidy and thin so it keeps a good hold without casting my hair into a rock. It’s by far the best hair gel I’ve tried and I hope I never find the day where I can’t buy it anymore. My Hair Routine!!
Shampoo using only a quarter size amount
Condition with my hair flipped over and scrunch my hair with conditioner until my hair clumps. I use about 5-6 pumps of conditioner to fully condition my hair and it forms clumps
I rinse the conditioner out of my hair still flipped over and I just scrunch and squeeze until it feels like I got what I want out
after that DONT FLIP YOUR HAIR UP YET
While I’m still in the shower I scrunch my hair out until my hair isn’t sopping wet, BUT it is still very wet
I then scrunch in my hair milk. I use about a nickel size of this
then finally I take small globs of hair gel and scrunch it into my hair until it starts forming good clumps and everywhere has a good layer of gel to form a good cast
after I get all my product in I plop my hair in a hair towel for anywhere from 20-45 minutes depending on how much time I have
once I take the towel out, I gently scrunch my hair with the towel to make sure my hair isn’t still dripping wet (my hair holds A LOT of water and I really need to squeeze it out sometimes)
after that I let everything air dry and then break the cast once it’s completely dry!

I’m so so happy that my hair grew so much for the past months! And they are pretty healthy too ! * The first pic is January 1 of 2020 right after I relaxed my hair in the summer of 2019! * In the pictures, my hair are semi wet after I washed them! Here are the products that really helped ! SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo SheaMoisture - Power Greens Conditioner with Moringa & Avocado cantu - Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair cantu - Shea Butter Grow Strong Strengthening Treatment TROPIC ISLE LIVING - Argan Jamaican Black Castor Oil SheaMoisture - 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Leave-In Treatment TRESemmé - Botanique Nourish + Replenish With Coconut Milk & Aloe Vera Shampoo #TRESemmé - TRESemmé Conditioner Nourish & Replenish[products]#[FiveStars] I also used a lot of natural coconut oil, castor oil, shea butter and argan oil. I also made hair mask every two month, I took the TRESemmé Conditioner, I mixed it with coconut oil, castor oil, natural coconut milk, bananas, a bit of honey and a little bit of lemon juice. I put the mixture on my hair and I let it sit for 1 hour and 30 minutes, and I really noticed my hair were softer and shinier! Beside products, having a healthy and a “ stress free” lifestyle really does help, all 2020, I managed to eat good healthy food and do a lot of work out, so I believe these two things helped a lot! As of now, I started taking NATURE'S BOUNTY - Optimal Solutions Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies and ogx - Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum and SheaMoisture - Silicone Free Miracle Strobe Shine Spray so I really cannot wait for the results !! Good day to you all!💋✨

Dealing with thick (but fine) hair! 👩🏽🦱
So I don’t have thick or thin hair; my hair falls somewhere in the middle of both textures. Let me explain this a bit deeper… ☝🏽 Technically speaking, my hair is “thick” because I naturally have a lot of hair. However, my hair strands are fine making my hair feel “thinner” than it actually is. So I have thin/thick texture lol And this isn’t necessarily uncommon. 😁😁 So how do deal with with this? Well for starters, I use products in my hair that are moisturizing but have a lighter consistency. Products formulated with high concentrations of heavy ingredients (shea butter, castor oil, coconut oil, etc..) tend to weigh my hair down and I can’t achieve the bouncy/fluffy curly look that shapes my face well. 💇🏽♀️ 💛 fav products for this: - john masters organics - Conditioner for Dry Hair With Lavender & Avocado - SheaMoisture - Sacha Inchi Oil Omega-3-6-9 Rescue & Repair Curl Defining Smoothie Both are extremely hydrating but aren’t heavy and don’t weigh my curls down! 🥳 ✨ Shampoos are usually okay because they get washed out, so I will sometimes opt in for a creamier shampoo to make sure my hair is still getting proper hydration. Now for styling tools - I bounce between using a Wet brush - Original Detangler and Wide Tooth Comb. My favorite as of recently is my wide tooth comb; I just keep coming back to it. I currently use the CONAIR - Detangle & Smooth Shower Comb to detangle my hair in the shower and to distribute product through out my strands. This process ensures ALL of my hair is being hydrated and covered. When my hair is dry, I use a hair pick such the CONAIR - Grooming Large Hair Pick Color Dip to give my hair more volume. I will usually do this on 1st day hair after it has completely dried. My 2nd day hair is always voluminous and little-no volumizing is required to achieve fluffier hair. These processes is what helps me with my hair type! Would love to know what you do if you have similar hair texture. Drop your comments below :)

The right way to get more VOLUME in your curly hair is...
Can you tell the difference from the pic? A lot of us really work hard to get our curls to live closer to the defined side of the spectrum. Maybe we’re scarred from so many years of fluffy frizzy curls but no one taught us what to do with our hair correctly. The only thing that’s sacrificed when your curls are ultra defined is VOLUME. So many curly girls go to the salon with requests of volume. And yes, you need layers to help achieve volume, but you also have to learn how to gently and effectively fluff your roots to encourage VOLUME. I realize that if you fluff your hair too much you could potentially wash all your definition down the drain but a little fluffing can make all the difference.
Silicone is bad for hair？NO! Try it if you wanna keep curly hair straight!
As it is summer now, many people often ask how to keep very curly hair straight and smooth during this season. I have black curly hair, and my answer is just one word—silicone. You can find this ingredient in many haircare products. It acts like a raincoat and leave your hair and skin feeling slick and smooth. Its main function is minimizing frizz because it's water-resistant, so it prevents humidity from entering the hair shaft and swelling it. You may ask: Is silicone safe in haircare? Well, I suggest you can occassionlly use it. Using a shampoo, conditioner, and styling serum all containing silicone will not only control frizz but also help with detangling and shine. I learn a 12-step program for fighting frizz recently and it really works. Step1 Shampoo and rinse. Step 2 Massage in conditioner. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse. Step 3 Gently squeeze excess water from hair with a towel. (Do not rub.) Step 4 Detangle with a wide-toothed comb. Step 5 Apply leave-in serum with fingers, working from ends to scalp. Step 6 Section wet hair in two halves, top and bottom of head. Fasten top section with clips. Step 7 Starting with the bottom section, use a paddle brush to stretch curls straight while blowing dry from scalp to ends. Step 8 Do the same with the top section. Step 9 Section hair again, top and bottom, fastening top with clip. Step 10 Use flatiron on bottom section. Step 11 Use flatiron on top section. Step 12 Apply serum with fingers, working upward toward scalp. If you have questions, just leave a comment below😘
