Great product, but I’d like more hold

So to be technical, I have 2B type curls. And by curls, I’d probably say waves. I’ve struggled a lot with getting my hair back on track after straightening it most of my life (and yes I know my hair is dyed and that can be damaging). I also never wanted to accept the fact that my hair was JUST wavy. I want beautiful curls! But alas, these are things we cannot choose so I started to just accept my hair for what it is. THAT BEING SAID! This product is fantastic in the sense that it does not weigh down my waves. As you can see, some of my hair does in fact curl, but for the most part it’s just wavy. I tried Miss Jessie’s on a whim because I saw that there was a cream targeted for wavy hair! I usually buy things for curls which leads to my hair being weighed down so it doesn’t curl, or I try a gel and my hair just gets a cast that even after breaking, just makes my hair feel icky. But I really likes using Quick Curls. I would like to try other Miss Jessie’s products to see if maybe I can get a bit more of a hold but overall, I’m happy with my purchase!Miss Jessie's - Quick Curls
To anyone out there with my hair type or even just great knowledge on curls, let me hear your suggestions!

〰️ Here comes the sun: Dream coat curly is a light spray to deliver a crunch free curls! This is alcohol free and it’s perfect to give your hair a nice refresh for a perfect second day hair! I personally love using this before I defuse my hair and when I wake up my hair can get very frizzy so I spray my hair with this. 〰️ One minute transformation antifrizz styling cream: this is a nice antifrizz cream this works well for straight hair too! If you’re wanting your hair to be frizz free without using a blow drier this is the product for you! I’ve been loving this! It eliminates those unwanted frizz. You just apply this to dry hair to re-condition your hair. This is rich I’m Omega 3 and does not leave your hair oily or greasy. R+Co Centerpiece Elixir Review
R+Co Centerpiece Elixir Review
First of all, packaging, totally up my alley! This is a single product that claims to do it all: detangle, fight frizz, hydrate, and repair! I love using this at night as a leave-in product. It smells so warm and when I wake up in the morning, my hair feels so soft, smooth, and silky. It also says that this could be used to refresh second-day hair. I have recently got a new dry shampoo so I might try this on second-day hair. I love the spray on this bottle. It sprays very evenly and so easily! It also covers a wide area as well 🙌🏻 10/10 recommend. *gifted but reviews are my own R+Co - Centerpiece All-in-One Elixir Spray

Curly Magic is a Curly Hair Must
Curly Magic is a Curly Hair Must
These are my curls on hair gel. For me, gel is a must. It gives definition and hold and it makes the curl the best it can be. It seems there are 2 kinds of gel— gels for moisture and gels for hold. This is @unclefunkysdaughter Curl Magic. It’s a moisturizing gel with a low to medium hold. To use a gel with the best results, I always apply to soaking wet hair in the shower. This has made my hair so healthy and it really promotes soft and bountiful ringlets. I have 3a/3b hair but my friend with 4a/4b curls also loves this.

Curly/Wavy Faves
Curly/Wavy Faves
My hair: Thick, wavy, curl, frizzy, dry, unruly, has a mind of its own What I look for: Smoothing, definition, lightweight hold, nourishing I try not to have a lot of hair products open all at once, but ya know 💁🏻‍♀️ These are two products I have open and alternate using. The IGK - Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel has been a favorite of mine for a long time, and the KRISTIN ESS - Hair Hydrating Curl Defining Crème has been in my collection for a couple months. I like each of them for slightly different reasons. The IGK rich kid is a gel cream. Thanks to coconut oil and aloe vera, when you dispense the product and rub between your hands, the product melts down and it’s easy to work into towel-dried hair. It is excellent for adding piecey texture and definition to waves and curls, while also nourishing the hair a bit. Due to its texture, this would probably even work with straight hair to give a beachy look. Now, there’s something wrong with the one I purchased (from Ulta). It’s got a very off-putting scent that is not normal for this product. I’ve gone through a mini and several sample packets, so I know this for sure. Nevertheless I decided to keep this bottle because it would be wasteful to return, and the product itself works just fine. It *should* have a light, fresh scent. Just a quick PSA because I noticed some others in the reviews on Ulta mention a bad smell. I love that this is lightweight, provides a bit of hold, and I need very little product, so this bottle will last for a longggg time. $29 for 5oz or $15 for 1.7oz. Worth it and will repurchase. The Kristin Ess curl creme is a creamy, slightly thicker texture. It has a lovely scent (the KE “signature scent”) that is fresh and light, but not overpowering. It adds a little bit of weight to my hair and that helps provide definition to my waves/curls. However, by no means do I think this cream is heavy. It doesn’t provide any hold, so if that’s what you’re looking for I would go with the IGK. This cream makes my hair feel softer and less frizzy than the IGK. I do need more of this product, but at $14 for 6.7oz, this bottle will still last a while and it’s affordable, so I would repurchase. By the way, I follow the “curly girl method” involves “plopping” and air drying. I have used both of these products and diffused my hair in a pinch, and they work great for that too. #CherieCreator

I have been loving my natural curls than thanks to NOT YOUR MOTHER'S - Curl Talk Defining Cream and the rest of the curl talk line 😋 I wash my hair, add product and then let it air dry - I hardly ever heat treat my hair (maybe 10 times a year). Do you dry your hair or let it air dry?
