night night routine
My night time skin care roitine is a ritual. It's my "It's time to decompress, remove the day and transition to a relaxing evening" time. I start by using my micellar water and baby washcloth and remove me eye and facial make. Then, I wash my face with my Cetaphil face wash. After patting my face dry, I pat on some Revolution Bakuchiol Serum. Then I move on to the Revolution Hyaluronic Acid. After that, I get a drop of Revolution Targeted Under Eye Serum with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid and tap it under my eyes. Then I use Revolution Collagen Skin Firming Solution on my face. After that it's Revolution Niacinamide Blemish Refining and Moisturizing Serum. Then, I moisturize some more with CeraVe PM Ultra Moisturizing Lotion and finish off with a sample of Sunday Riley High Dose Rentinoid Serum. After that, I am finally ready to lay down for the evening and go to bed. Final thought, you probably don't need a complicated skin routine at night. and certainly, have a less complicated one on standby for those nights when you just can barely put one foot in front of the other. As my mom used to say....night, night, don't let the bed bugs bite. GARNIER - Micellar Water Facial Cleanser Sensitive Skin I love, love, love this stuff! it's gentle on my skin. It takes off the toughest mascara without irritating my eyes. I use it as a pre cleanser before washing my face. Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser While I use this every night, I am only using it until I finish the bottle. I am not crazy about the scent and there is a slight sting on my cheeks when I first lather the product on my skin and I am not fond of that feeling. REVOLUTION - 2% Hyaluronic Acid Serum REVOLUTION - Targeted Under Eye Serum 5% Caffeine REVOLUTION - 15% Niacinamide Serum REVOLUTION - Skin Firming Solution Stabilised Active Collagen Serum I've enjoyed all of the products I purchased from Revolution, they will all be empties. I am going to try The Ordinary next but the price comparison is about the same. DIFFERIN - Dark Spot Correcting Serum I haven't noticed a bit of difference since using this. how long do you have to you this before you notice your spots lightening?SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum
💙 Powerful but Gentle Retinol! 💙
Follow my skincare Instagram @skincare_by_reba for more content! 🥰 💙 Let’s talk 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐬! 💙 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭? This is SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum! SR’s site describes it as an “advanced-strength retinoid serum that delivers a 6.5% solution of stabilized retinoid blends and botanical, retinol-alternative extracts into the skin.” See my IG post for the breakdown of the retinoid blend & other key ingredients! 𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: I know you’re all probably waiting for me to say I don’t love a SR product, but I’m sorry...𝘐 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘰 🥰 after using a Pixi retinol serum for a couple months and then switching to Luna (see my review in an earlier post!), I finally added this higher percentage of retinol to my routine in September. I think it was a HUGE contributor to the amazing results I saw in just over 2 weeks after switching to an almost entirely SR routine (scroll way back in my feed to see my before/after for that!). Every morning after I use this I wake up to super soft, even-toned skin. If you’re new to a higher dose retinoid, try layering a hydrating oil first for a more gentle experience with A+. Start with two nights on, two nights off and build from there. Once your skin has adjusted, you can use A+ nightly (if desired), and I like to layer Luna on top for a bonus dose of retinol goodness! This serum, like all SR products, plays very well with others in the line. I layer A+, Luna, and Good Genes on many nights and have never had an issue! Of course, I have very tolerant skin so make sure you do what works best for 𝘺𝘰𝘶! 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: The price is steep with this one, as it is with a lot of high-quality products. It’s $85/1oz or $122/1.7oz. I just finished up my 1oz bottle that I bought in mid-September, so it lasted me about 3.5 months with usage of 4-5 nights/week. I’ve cut back on that recently as I’m trying to rotate more products into my evening routine (like Vitamin C), and I used a solid 1.5-2 pumps with every use. If you just use 1 pump and less frequently, it’ll last you way longer! I just received my 1.7oz (just in time!) which I bought in the Power of Three kit — great savings that way on 3 serums I use all the time! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩-𝘥𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘭?

💳🛍I recently went on a book ordering spree... (😝one of my favorite things, besides skincare splurges) 💻 Even though we can get seemingly endless information about skincare online, I was curious to seek out some books because I love the tactility & I really hate reading on a screen. Regarding ingredients, there is a plethora of opposing information online, & I’m sure these books will yield some of that too. It’s important to cross reference your searches, meaning checking multiple sources & comparing that information. It’s also important to consider what site is providing the information & whom might benefit from it. 📚Swipe to peek inside📖 PRETTY ICONIC A Personal Look at the Beauty Products That Changed the World By Sali Hughes 2016 💄$18-$21 (paperback version) I was most excited about this one, I’m a big fan of pop culture history & of course I love beauty products. Dupe for Lamer! $45 VS $300 The BEST Deal You Can't Miss!
Two years ago, my face has stayed in allergy for a half year because I used the wrong facial device. I tried so hard to find a suitable repairing product to repair my damaged skin. With the carelessness of money and time, I have tried Lamer crème moisturizer LA MER - LA MER Moisturizing Cream and other expensive repairing products. None of them really worked on my face, especially the cream of Lamer, it contains dormant oil which made my allergy even worse. Finally, the cream of Forty Fathoms#Forty Fathoms - Skin Regenerator Renewal Cream[products]#[FiveStars] saved me! It is regarded as a dupe for Lamer cream, it contains the essence of seaweed found in Tasmania. As we all know, the cream of lamer is famous for the essence of seaweed because it is found strong repairing function. The only ingredient difference between these two creams is Forty Fathoms cream doesn’t contain dormant oil. It sounds perfect for me! So, I gave it a go. After having used it for 3 months, my skin got repaired and became even more healthy, smoother, and balanced. More surprisingly, cream from Lamer sold in $242 didn’t save my skin, Forty Fathoms did and it is only sold at $46. I decide to use it forever! It excels all the cream products in my mind! Sorry for discarding the container of lamer crema, I can only compare these two with my memory. The packaging of these two products all use the paper box, but the box for lamer cream is much bigger and thicker than that of Forty Fathoms. The container for Lamer is made of glass, it’s quite heavy if it is taken for traveling, but the container of Forty Fathoms is made of plastic, which makes it easy to carry. Just by looking at the packaging, Lamer’s packaging looks more high-end, Forty Fathoms’ packaging is easy to carry. I do recommend the cream of Forty Fathoms, it’s much cheaper and it repairs skin rapidly. If you have extra money and don’t be allergic to dormant oil, you can give Lamer a try!
Looking for La Mer Skin Dupes?
It’s not these. Sorry. I did the testing so you didn’t have to. To be fair, I didn’t mean to be the guinea pig, but here we are. NIVEA - NIVEA Crème Incredibly thick, needs a lot of emulsifying, pleasant smell. Horrible on the face. Does wonders for the dry skin on my hands, arms & legs. It says “does not clog pores” but, well...it does. Skip the face. WELEDA - Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream Very thick, definitely emulsify first, leaves an almost oily layer on the skin that takes a long time to sink in. Used it before bed as a night cream for almost 2 months. I broke out a lot. Overall I don’t hate this product, but again...skip the face. Use it on your dry winter hands.
Stretch Mark Prevention 🤰🏻🍼
During pregnancy the skin stretches a lot and it is easy for small breaks to occur due to the lack of elasticity and for unwanted stretch marks to appear. You must have your skin well hydrated throughout your pregnancy, so it is essential to apply a moisturizer or an oil indicated for pregnant women at least twice a day. Here I show you the products that helped me prevent stretch marks during my pregnancy: Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil This magical position saved me! Bio‑Oil® Skincare Oil is the world’s leading scar and stretch mark product. NIVEA - Nourishing Care Body Wash NIVEA - NIVEA Crème NIVEA - Essentially Enriched Body Lotion Deep nourishing moisture Reduces the roughness of dry to very dry skin, after just 1 application. Locks in moisture & gives noticeably smoother skin. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Oil With Vitamin E PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula, Massage Cream for Stretch Marks I used Palmer’s products for the first few months of my pregnancy, they are good but NIVEA and BIO OIL products make me felt “safer”. Nivea creams and body wash are truly deep and nourishing hydration, I felt the difference immediately. The secret is prevention, the sooner you start is better. Good luck 👍🏻😉
Expensive=Good? For This Skin Restoration Combo My Answer Is...
I have combination-dry, acne-prone skin, and my acne-damaged skin requires repair. This is a pretty hyped combo, so I decided to give it a try. I was really worried at first that the LA MER - LA MER Moisturizing Creamthick creamy texture would cause acne breakouts but that has been proven to be all in my head. It's a bit thick and heavy when I use it during the day but it's great when I use it at night. My skin really improved after using it for a while. Normally, I'll pair it with LA MER - The Treatment Lotion Just two drops of the lotion offer better results than when I use a lot of moisturizing and hydrating serum! My skin is now much more balanced and stable, I no longer have constant acne breakouts, and my acne marks have lightened. The skin on my nose used to flake in winter from being too dry and no face mask could improve it. However, after using this combination, my skin no longer flakes as much and no matter how late I stay up at night now, my skin still looks good in the morning! My pores have tightened and all my other skin problems have improved. Although it's expensive, I think it's totally worth it. It's really suitable for those who need to repair their skin and for those who always stay up late. I have to say the price is steep but I am satisfied with the the effects so I will repurchase 😢😢 How do you repair your skin? Have you used this combo? Do you think La Mer worth the price? Let me know!🌻🌻
LA MER-LA MER Moisturizing Cream
This brand is for sure one of my favorites. All products are energized with rose quartz to pass on the vibrations of love with every application 💗💗. While that might not be for everyone, just the fact that they put that much care into making sure each person gets the best product they can provide, little details like that make me more inclined to spend my money. Not only that, all products are formulated without any sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrance, synthetic colors, T.E.A., D.E.A., glycols, silicones, PEGs. ethoxylate and formaldehyde free performance | full star | even skin tone & texture, great for all skin types with being thin and easy to absorb yet super hydrating texture | full star | lightweight, non-greasy, sink right in to the skin scent | full star | heavenly! Fresh, floral, yet subtle packaging | full star | super cute rose gold accents on screw tops, love how the the bottles are sandblasted so the oils don’t create a slippery aftermath, recyclable glass bottles and boxes, minimal verbiage and clutter on bottles and boxes ingredients | full star | 99% naturally derived organic ingredients in eye and face oil, 67% organic ingredients in body oil with second ingredient & only not organic, no irritation from essential oils value | full star | because they actually work, I’m giving it a full star. Comparable prices to similar products/brands, but more care with ingredients, transparency and quality. $68 face, $58 body, $38 eye I love applying the body oil on damp skin in the shower, feel like it absorbs all the way while I do my skincare routine, then I don’t get any residual on clothing. I also only use the eye oil at night, it’s not ideal for makeup application.

My top 3 moisturizers – for dry skin
For people with dry skin, I think the most important skincare product is moisturizer. For me, serums can help me with acne, aging and sun damage, etc., but the last step of my routine, especially night routine, will always be moisturizer. And today I want to share three of my favorites and the prices are variable, so you can decisions based on your need and my experience. Let’s start with the most affordable one, belif - The True Cream-Moisturizing Bomb, which is $38 for 50ml. I have tried several products from this brand, and I love the fresh design and comfortable use. The formula is white heavy cream, but very easy to blend. It contains comfrey leaf, oat extract and panthenol, helping moisturize and sooth skin. I also really like the True Cream-Aqua Bomb, which is a blue gel and more lightweight than this one, so I recommend oily to combination skin can try the Aqua Bomb and dry skin to try the Moisturizing Bomb. Then it comes to theGUERLAIN - Midnight Secret Late Night Recovery Treatment Serum, which is $29.5 for 15ml. It is white lightweight cream, formulated with eight effective ingredients that help to reduce the signs of fatigue. And I can also feel it help enhance my overall skin tone and make my skin look refreshed even I stay up until 3am. However, there is one thing to be noticed. If you use it only for emergency, the oil inside may separate from cream. I think shake it before using can be better. The last one is theLA MER - LA MER Moisturizing Cream, which is $335 for 60ml. This is the best-seller of La Mer and has great reputation for the power of recovery and moisturizing. The formula is rich white cream, a little bit is enough for a whole face. The cell-supporting ingredient called Miracle Broth is the key point, which can help protect against stress and pollution. So when my skin get allergic because of dryness when I travel to somewhere cold and windy or the changes of season, I will use this cream and I think it really worth it. I love all of three products. The first one is like a daily product, and the second one is useful for people stay up late like me, and the third one is a life saver, whenever I need recovery, it will help me. I think you can try these based on your need and don’t waste money!

#Korres - Multi-Vitamin Miracle Milk Serum[products]#[FiveStars] is a thick milk based serum that gives my skin a n immediate dewy glow. The serum is full of amazing ingredients that promote luminous skin and even complexion. This product is always sold out and I finally was able to get it. It can be found on HSN but sells it for $38 for almost 7 oz!
Dry Skin's Experience Using Kiehl's Concentrate💙
Ok I am back!😝😝😝 It's kinda hot these days, so I am changing my skincare products to lighter ones. Then I realized that I haven't talk about Kiehl's yet. I have been using it for a LONG time, so I want to share with you my experience using the following products. 1)Kiehl's - Midnight Recovery Concentrate I used to have severely dry skin but since I started using this concentrate five years ago, my skin no longer peels off even in winter. I've never stopped using it since then and I'll use it with serums that provide other effects. My foundation has been kept from separating or sliding off ever since. It has a soothing lavender scent and is easily absorbed. Usage: The official website recommends 3 drops each time but I use 6 or 7 drops each time. I will repurchase this product. 2) Kiehl's - Daily Reviving Concentrate It has a lemon scent and I used it with other products for my morning skincare routine. However, I won't repurchase it because the midnight recovery concentrate is better in various aspects and its formula can be used morning and night. 3) trilogy - Certified Organic Rosehip Oil Apply the oil while giving yourself a facial massage for a more contoured face. I always cleanse my face before I get started on the facial massage. After the massage, I'll wash off the excess oil, apply a mask, then wash off the excess serum. Only then will I continue my skin care routine. I will repurchase this product.

Products for sensitive skin
My skin is so sensitive and it always goes red spontaneously. To repair and protect my skin, I have tried thousands of treatments. Among all of these products, I find that Elizabeth Arden and HELENA RUBINSTEIN together with LAMER do work. Now, I would like to share them with you. Elizabeth Arden RETINOL Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum As we know, Elizabeth Arden is famous for its Golden Capsules Serum, which is named as Daily Youth Restoring Serum. If you would like to try Elizabeth Arden to repair your sensitive skin, then please buy RETINOL Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum. Believe it or not, the latter one would give you a better experience since it has as strong repairing power as the golden one with a less greasy texture. Personally, I always use it after cleanser and I can easily find that it can reduce skin redness to a large extent. HELENA RUBINSTEIN POWERCELL SKINMUNITY cream I have used HELENA RUBINSTEIN POWERCELL SKINMUNITY cream for more than three years, and I love it so much. What fascinates me most is its pleasant scent with its suitable texture, which is not so thick but moist. I usually apply it to the sensitive area and it is quite effective in relieving and soothing the skin. LAMER moisturizing cream I have used LAMER moisturizing cream for more than five years, and I can say that it is the most brilliant skincare product I have ever used. It is really helpful in soothing and hydrating the skin. There is no exaggeration to say that it can heal most of the skin problems. If you are worried about the skin dryness, please use it. If you are annoyed by the skin redness, please use it. If you are irritated by the acne marks, please use it since it contributes to fading them. Unlike another cream which can be applied on the face directly, you have to warm LAMER cream for a few seconds between the fingers until it becomes translucent, then press gently into the skin. Although the method of application is a little bit complicated, the effectiveness of LAMER cream would let you ignore this tiny shortcoming. Conclusion For me, I always change the order of applying skincare products due to the skin condition. But most of the time, I would use Elizabeth Arden Serum as an introduction of follow-up skincare products and I would choose HR cream in the daytime while applying LAMER in night. I recommend these three products enthusiastically since each of them would never let you down.
