The only difference is that Hourglass is scented, oh, and the packaging of course. 💄Sephora Collection Lipstories - Yum Yum 10 SEPHORA COLLECTION - #LIPSTORIES Lipstick It's a pure chocolate color shade with a yellow undertone. It has a moisturizing texture that gives a gloss. It provides only moderate coverage. 💄Shiseido Shimmering Rouge - BR304 It has a yellow undertone with golden shimmers. It feels more like a tinted lip balm than anything else.
Sephora Collection - Lip Stories, shade 07
SEPHORA COLLECTION - #LIPSTORIES Lipstick Shade 07, Love Love PRODUCT A cream matte lipstick that is said to be lightweight and provide full pigment color in one swipe. It is a matte lipstick, so the formula is on the drier side, but not as dry as some of the matte lipsticks I have previously used. OPINION I purchased this lipstick because I thought the shade would be great to tone down darker lipsticks, but I ended up liking the color on its own too. I don’t think this provides the full one-swipe pigment as claimed, but I think it does give good color payoff. This lipstick is $9, which falls somewhere in the drugstore range, in my opinion, so I think it is well worth it if you are looking for an affordable option, though I do recommend wearing a lip balm under the matte shades. I give this product a 4/5 stars.

I put 4 Eye Primers to the test to find the best for crepey eyelids
I have sun-damaged eyelids from my years as a sun-worshiper. They’re freckled, veined, wrinkled, crepey and saggy (getting older is so much fun)!! So using any primer just doesn’t cut it anymore. I like a primer that covers over my freckles and veins but doesn’t accentuate the wrinkes or crepeyness (a tall order). To level the playing field, I applied each primer in the same way (with fingers), I used the same eyeshadows with each applied with the same brushes to the same areas. I took pictures of each right after applying the eyeshadow, at mid-day and at night to compare how the primer affects blendability, color saturation, and wear. The Bottom Two: NYX Eyeshadow Base in “Skin Tone” $7.00 for .25 oz. It’s tacky when first applied and needs a minute to dry down to set. Even so, it grabs and holds the eyeshadow where it’s first applied and makes it difficult to blend. The eyeshadow was settled into the crease by mid-day and worn off after only a few hours. Urban Decay Primer Potion in “Eden” $20 for .37 oz. It’s a pale yellow based flesh tone primer in a squeeze tube. The color of this primer is very pale so it was a little hard to get the edges blended out. Eyeshadow didn’t cling to the primer very well resulting in uneven application, so settled into the crease and was mainly worn off by days end. The Top Two: Milani Eyeshadow Primer $5.99 for .30 oz. I’m always impressed when a $6 drugstore product beats my long-time faves and this Milani Primer did just that. This primer smoothed my crepey skin, enhanced color payout, and blended easily without losing definition. The shadow wore all day with little fading and no creasing. Too Faced Shadow Insurance $20 for .35 oz. This flesh toned gel-cream primer disappears into skin upon application. No worries about blending the edges or caking on dry skin here. It really grabs and holds the eyeshadow allowing for smooth blending. What I learned from this round of testing is that how a primer performs really depends on the condition of the eyelids. One thing’s for sure. . . even the worst primer was better than no primer at all!
the ONLY Glossier product that’s worthwhile is:
Glossier. - Skywash 📍My as a person: literally the worst at eye makeup, lazy, never want to spend more than like 10 minutes on makeup. 📍Texture: if the term “powdery-cream” makes sense to you, that’s what this is. 📍Claims: “Liquid-to-powder eyeshadow that gives a diffused, soft effect. A little bit adds some depth to the eye area; add more for a refined, modern wash of color” 📍Dollas: $18 for 3.5ml idc what anyone says, Glossier is overhyped & relies on IG and targeted marketing to sell products opposed to quality/effectiveness. I’ve tried several things & they never live up to expectations or to their price point so I stopped trying. However, I was recently gifted this & actually love it???? Color me surprised. They say all you have to do is swipe this on & tap it in, and that’s legit all you have to do. I give it 4 ⭐️ though because it’s definitely sheer and you have to build up a lot of product to get the pigment that is shown in the marketing photos. I have learned the best way to do this is to let coats fully dry before adding more. It dries quick & I do love the faded look & soft wash of color though, so that kinda makes up for it. Once this dries down and sets it really does not budge & is the only eyeshadow that doesn’t crease with my super hooded eyes. That alone is a big deal! Color pictured is Valley (warm peach) & really makes my eyes pop. I love this shade but not sure I’d invest in any others. P.S. Mascara pictures is thrive causemetics - Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara™ Lip pictures is Charlotte Tilbury - Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk Medium- the OG pillow talk is my ride or die & I recently tried this shade it is a bit darker & im obsessed with it. #CherieCreator
Pillow Talk Medium 💄
Another Charlotte Tilbury product that’s just pure luxury. As always, I’m a sucker for packaging 😩 It’s a gorgeous shade and pairs perfectly with the Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick in the shade medium as well. It extended the wear of my lip colour and wore up beautifully. I hate when my lip liner wears off from the middle and leaves just the outside. Personal pet peeve! The lipstick and lip liner in medium 2 are not an exact match but pair beautifully together. Even for a steep price, I’d continue buying this. Probably just wait for the Sephora sale so I can get it for a bit cheaper 😬
Foundations from Make up for ever—liquid or powder?
Today I want to share two products from Make up for ever, which is a professional brand with a great reputation. And their face products are really popular. I tried both the HD foundation and the Blurring powder foundation. I have dry skin, and I usually use moisturizing cream before I apply foundations, and my main expectation for them is to cover at least 50% of my pimples and acne marks. Besides, I have serious pores problem, and I need my foundations to fill and blur my pores. About the shade selection, I don’t want to look too white so I always go for the color that with neutral or yellow undertones. Let’s start with the Ultra HD Foundation, which is their best-selling, everyday liquid foundation. It has 50 shades, which is awesome, and my shade is Y225-Marble, for light skin with golden undertone. I had high expectations for this because lots of people said it didn’t dry out their skin and was comfortable to wear. It also has Hyaluronic Acid inside for hydrating. The finish is okay for me because it does give me a pretty natural look and can last for at least 6-7 hours. But there are several things I am not happy with. First of all, if I use a regular beauty blender to apply it, I can’t get much coverage even I use a lot. I can either use a dense brush or the velvet sponge from JUNO & Co. to have around 60% coverage. Besides, if I didn’t use a hydrating primer, I would have dry patches on my nose, cheeks and my smiling lines. The last thing is that I expected it to give me a luminous finish, but as you can see, it’s quite matte. So I need to use a setting spray to give myself some glow. To be honest, I use this foundation a lot for my daily makeup because it is really easy to blend and long-lasting, and it just doesn’t give me a surprise. Then let’s talk about the Matte Velvet Skin Powder. It claims to be full coverage, blurring powder with a lifelike matte finish, and you can wear 12 hours without cakes, flakes or fades. There are 30 shades and the names are the same as the HD collection. I use the shade Y235-ivory beige, which is a little darker than my skin but looks good after I finish my makeup. Compared to the HD one, I love this one much better—higher coverage, more blurring, longer-lasting, and almost no caking. At first, I thought it could be too dry for me to use powder products, but this one is really smooth and visibly reducing pores and still lightweight. Besides, it’s convenient to carry with and has a mirror inside. After buying this, I never used the HD one again. In conclusion, I feel like if you have the same skin problems, need coverage, and love matte finish. I highly recommend the Matte Velvet Powder Foundation no matter what skin type you got only if you prime well. And this is my favorite foundation ever!
Okay so shout out to my absolute fav kathleenlights for introducing me to the makeupforever Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder foundation... I was watching her favorites video and when she mentioned this I was like “UHM Kathleen?? We have dry skin!? Wyd!?” but thank God I trusted her and went to try this out bc WOW! So it claims to be a full coverage powder that you can sheer out or build for a natural matte finish that lasts for 12 hours! I don’t know what witchcraft is in the formula bc despite having super dry skin, this powder amazes me and honestly lived up to the claims in my opinion! I used it after my morning routine following SPF as well as with a dewy primer that keeps me hydrated and both yielded beautiful coverage that didn’t budge throughout the hot Houston day!! My favorite part about this is how easy and versatile it is, you can use the double sided puff provided or go in with a brush or even a makeup sponge. I mean the compact is beautiful and perfect for travel so seriously, I think it’s worth the $38! I’ll of course keep testing it further and give you all an update but so far.. I’m obsessed. 😍 Also, thank you to miss Ruthie and my amazing ctilbury fam for these two beauties that are long time favorites of mine! The Hot Gossip lip liner is one of my all time favorite lip shades! 🙌🏽
Soft Glam with Anastasia Beverly Hills 😍
I thought I would share a clear photo of what is my Go-to routine for daily makeup 😊 Believe it or not, I actually prefer not to put on foundation if I’m out and about. I LOVE just going out with a little concealer, some lashes, eyeshadow, and lipstick. I don’t put on foundation because love my cheeks because they’re naturally rosy. I also really appreciate the dimensions of my face. I thought I would show this photo because 1. I love how my eyeshadow looks. It’s hard to sometimes get my camera to show the eyeshadow colors for what they truly are. This eyelook is amazingly soft and wearable with some awesome dimension. 2. I want to normalize “nice photos with blemishes”. It never really occurred to me that some people really get down on themselves when they take a good photo and become discouraged when they see one or two blemishes. I feel like if I can show that I can embrace mine, it can help others embrace theirs 😊 For this look I used: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette 3CE - Velvet Lip Tint clé de peau BEAUTÉ - Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 25
A Cherie Member Wanted a Fall Eyelook ❤️
One of my Cherie followers wanted me to showcase more fall looks, so here’s what I came up with! It was my first time doing a cut crease with colors that are typically not part of of the same color spectrum! I’ve seen this look around but thought it would be difficult to do with my eyeshape. Welp. IN MY OWN FACE! 🤣🤣 I love how it came out! Used: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette VISEART - Grande Pro 3 MAC - Pro Longwear Fluidline

My cheap daily products
Everything is from either Walmart or Ulta and under $15! With the exception of my AOA BB Cream in shade Medium that was $1 as well as AOA Artista $1 felt tip eyeliner in Brown (for some reason brown eyeliner is just so much more forgiving). I use the found contour palette for all over setting power & all 3 colors work great with my medium skin. Essence 16 hour eyebrow pencil on my brows and under my eyes. On my lips are just a cheap pink lip gloss. Better Than Sex mascara mini I got as a sample from Ulta & good to go! Oh, and a smoky eye palette from e.l.f.❤️
Engagement photo prep
Found the perfect look for my engagement photos since stores aren’t doing makeovers! Face: MAC - Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Primer I use this all over my face and then layer the e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer where I have larger pores DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation I’m absolutely loving this! It feels like I’m not wearing anything and is the perfect match! I can use a few drops and my fingertips for a really light look, and it’s easy to build up to medium or full coverage. Looks like skin! Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek got the mini version at Sephora and love it! I had used the glossier cloud paint before but it disappeared on my face. This blended beautifully. Eyes: e.l.f. - Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer great primer! Enough said. MILANI - Most Wanted Eyeshadow Palette I really like the colours in this palette, but I wish it had a bit more colour payoff. MAC - Extended Play Perm Me Up Lash Mascara I’m obsessed with this mascara. Seriously the best I’ve tried. benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel it’s an og favourite of mine Lip: MILANI - Amore Satin Matte Lip Crème I like the colour and feel of this, but it’s not transfer proof at all so I might look for another option so my fiancé doesn’t get it all over his face. Anything you think I should add to this look?
MILANI-Amore Satin Matte Lip Crème
This is my very first post and I have no idea what to write. Basically my name is Kayla and I’m 25 years old and I love makeup & skincare. I’m very picky when it comes to what I consider my holy grail products, but I love trying new things and sharing my thoughts and opinions! My favourite new products to try are foundations. I am THE MOST PICKY with foundations (as in I only have one in my collection currently) but I absolutely love trying new ones. I’m also extremely insecure and self conscious about taking selfies so 😬😬 also please don’t mind my eyebrows I can’t get them THREADED RIGHT NOW. ANYWAYS, that’s all I have for now, take care and stay safe!! 💕
