The best moisturizer for cooler months?

avatar
boldandbeautifulbeti
You guys!!!! I’ve been loving this boscia chia seed moisturizer! It was such a steal I found it for 35 dollars at Costco when it’s normally 50 dollars on Sephora Canada! This cream is very thick and so hydrating it leaves my skin so silky soft. It has a slight fragrance to it but it disappears right about you put it on. It’s been such a life saver as the weather has gotten cooler in Toronto! It’s been a while since I’ve tried anything from boscia but this purchase reminded me of what a great clean brand they are! boscia - Chia Seed Moisture Cream

Do the seasons affect your skin?
With a change in season comes a different temperature, humidity, wind and UV exposure which can all affect changes which the body needs to adapt to. It makes sense that as the weather changes outside your skin will react differently to it. With lower humidity— what we experience during the cold winter months—our skin’s moisture levels can drop drastically and dryness and a dull skin tone can set in. So what can we do? In general skin tends to be dryer in the winter, oilier (or at least less dry) in the summer. Extremes of temperatures and humidity disrupt the surface of the skin and cause changes in the function of the external skin barrier. After you have found a core skin routine that works for you, it is easier to adapt it to how your skin changes throughout the year. In drier seasons like autumn and winter, make a move to a more hydrating cleanser or balm. You will want to focus on hydration since the low-humidity climate during this time of year can dry out skin and the best place to start is with the first step of your skin care routine. Dermatologists also advise to tone less or even discontinue completely. Whether you have dry skin in the winter, oily skin when the humidity sky rockets, or normal skin year-round, the one thing your skin care routine needs is a hydrating moisturizer. Not moisturizing your skin you risk stripping your skin of oh-so important hydration , which causes overproduction of oils and a gross build up of dead skin cells on your face. When you start seeing the advertisements for everything pumpkin 🎃 spice (yum), Now is the time to pack away the lighter formulas and reach for the more emollient products focused on hydration and to find ways to combat visible evidence of any sun damage that may have occurred over the summer. The best part, most of the skin care routine changes you’ll make for the fall will last you through winter as well! Don’t forget your body!! Apply moisturizer within 60 seconds of coming out of the shower and look for ingredients like glycerin, ceramides and hyaluronic acid. 💦 The biggest thing is pay close attention to your skin. It will start to tell you what it needs and just make sure to adjust accordingly 🍁 Some great moisturizers I recommend for the fall and winter. Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 is a good one for oily skin. Jumiso - Have A Good Cream Snail & Centella also for normal to oily skin. boscia - Chia Seed Moisture Cream for dry skin PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream normal to dry. Happy Fall Y’all 🎃🍁

🌸💗 Ch-ch-ch-chia! Boscia newest product: Chia Seed Moisture Cream, along with, the cutest spoon and a bag of chia seeds. And can you tell? I might've had a bit TOO much fun with them seeds, lol!! I couldn't help myself. I love chia seeds. Anyways! 😅 The moisture cream is formulated with chia seed oil, glacier water, and elderberry extracts. It feels super soothing, hydrating, and refreshing. She is very creamy and so thiccc. And it will be the absolute perfect texture that I know my skin will crave during the upcoming colder months. Plus, I'm really digging that baby pink packaging! 💗 So pretty! Chia is the legitimate superfood due to its endless nutritional benefits so, I'm excited for both my skin and my body!

Best winter cream ever!
Best winter cream ever!
boscia - Chia Seed Moisture Cream I don’t say best cream ever EVER! I started using this months ago, at the beginning of our cold season and fell in love. I was a bit apprehensive due to the thick creamy texture but I went into it it with high hopes. It’s applied thick but quickly sank in. My skin felt plump, dewy and highly nourished. The only scent to this is a slight nutty scent from the chia seed which is quite beautiful. Now that I’ve gone through the entire jar in a few short months I’m ready to purchase another. I used this day and night even under makeup with zero issues of pilling with either oils or my foundation. Boscia makes some fantastic products powered by science and botany but this is by far their best.

Boscia chia seed moisturizer! BEST moisturizer!!
Boscia chia seed moisturizer! BEST moisturizer!!
boscia - Chia Seed Moisture Cream I absolutely love this moisturizer! The texture going on is light and smooth and doesn’t take long at all to soak into your skin! Leaves my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated but not oily like most moisturizers tend to do! Love love love this!!! This product is a natural chia seed based moisturizer that claims to leave your skin hydrated but not weighed down. It does exactly that! It leaves your skin moisturizer ALL day!! It’s amazing! I wish it had anti-aging properties but it’s focus is hydrating skin and it does exactly that. I have been using this for awhile now and still have so much product left!

(KORRES) POMEGRANATE BALANCING CREAM GEL
(KORRES) POMEGRANATE BALANCING CREAM GEL
KORRES - Pomegranate Balancing Cream Gel is a moisturizer meant for oily skin. it claims to help balance and minimize pores with it's creamy consistency that turns to gel once on skin. i bought this last summer as a part of a set at sephora that was marketed for oily skin. i am a fiend for moisturizers that claim to help control oil, so it's no surprised i snatched this up. overall, i do like it, it's just not my favorite moisturizer. it’s not crazy overwhelming, just not as good as my regular gel moisturizers. i wouldn't say it turns to a gel either, it definitely is a cream, but a light one. it is a bit too much for my skin during the summer, so if you're oily i'd say this is better for a transitioning skin period, like going from winter to spring when you need some hydration, but maybe not as much as the driest winter months. for every day, all season use, i'd recommend this more for normal to combo skin. $34 for 40mL is a pretty decent price, and worth it if you're a bit oily but still want a cream. 4/5 stars

My new nighttime moisturizer 💕 Boscia Chia Seed Moisture Cream- this is what I was hoping the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream would be. It is a thick, whipped, fragrance free cream with a short ingredient list. I can’t say too much about it now because I have only been using it for a few nights.
